Ted Cruz is Calling all Conservatives and Christians to the Battlefront

An AlterNet article caught my eye today, its title was intriguing, “Is Ted Cruz Winning The Christian Nation Primary? Cruz has been positioning himself as the champion of religious liberty and defender of the conservative Christians.  Its author was a writer for Right Wing Watch, which is a leftist website that monitors and critiques conservatives and conservative organizations. I responded to this article with the following comments:

The GOP leaders secretly war against or at least seek to undermine Ted Cruz every chance they get. They do this either deliberately or unintentionally. Ted Cruz battles his own party leadership as well as the Democrat Party, the mainstream media, et al.

A Consistent Conservative Leader

 

"If this country survives the next fifteen months under Barack Obama and that remains questionable, continued survival of this nation depends on the outcome of the 2016 election. Election of Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Jeb Bush, or Chris Christie or even Donald Trump will surely secure doom. The country needs a revival and a strong conservative President, a Ted Cruz or a Bobby Jindal, could be the very catalyst that triggers and can guide true reformation and undo the “progressive” tide that is leading us to oblivion.

A Champion for Life

Yesterday Senator Cruz spoke on a conference call to thousands of pastors and others regarding strategies to defund Planned ParentHOOD. This reason for the call was  based on the recently released videos showing possible illegal and even criminal activity on the part of this vile organization, Planned ParentHOOD. He discussed the need to call Senators and Representatives after they return in September to urge them to vote to stop all subsidies to this evil entity.

The Right Way to Amend the Constitution, part 6

This is part six of an ongoing series of articles containing proposals for amendments to the Constitution. For someone who claims so fervently to be a “Constitutionalist”, how is it that I can be so eager to change the Constitution? Well, there are several reasons. For one thing, I believe that after the Bill of Rights, much damage was done by some of the amendments that were added and the legitimacy of some of their ratifications are questionable. Secondly, the Constitution has been violated so much that the necessity of further amendments is needed to resolve the resulting problems. But this should be done extremely cautiously. These amendments are extremely unlikely to ever be introduced, much less ratified, but hey, I can dream, can’t I?

In lieu of writing a new proposal for a Constitutional amendment, I will further comment on the one I posted last week, The Audacity of Legitimacy Amendment. Click here to read it in its entirety.

I have a few comments on Section 4, which says, “The House of Representatives shall, within 48 hours of the ratification of this article, select a President in the manner described in Article II section 1 Clause 3 and elsewhere in this Constitution as if no Person had received a majority of votes in the last Electoral College in Dispute. The President so selected shall be elected to complete the remainder of the term held by the de facto President.”

The House could not just pick anybody to fill out the remainder of Barack Obama’s term. In fact, if this amendment were to be ratified in during Mr. Obama’s alleged first term, then I believe John McCain (unfortunately) would become the President. This is because he is the only one who received any legitimate electoral votes for President. In both Article II section 1 Clause 3 and the 12th Amendment, the House is limited to the “persons having the highest numbers [of electoral votes] not exceeding [five in Article II and three in the 12th Amendment] on the list of those voted for as President”. I would assume that “voted” refers to the Electoral College vote and that if someone did not get any Electoral College votes, then they are not “on the list”. I could always add additional conditions, but I would rather have as little interference with what the Constitution already says as possible.

If this Amendment were to pass while Mr. Obama illegally holds the office of the Presidency and after the next the Presidential election day, but before the Electoral College vote, and if he was reelected (in the Electoral College vote), then 20th Amendment would apply. In this case, Obama’s running mate would act as President beginning January 20th, 2013 and “until a President shall have qualified”. If the amendment passes in Obama’s second (usurped) term, then the conditions in the previous paragraph would prevail, with those receiving electoral votes in 2012 being voted on by the House. The 20th Amendment would also be applied in the case that John McCain died or if he became ineligible. In that case, Congress “may by law provide…declaring who shall then act as President, or the manner in which one who is to act shall be selected…”

The first portion of Section 5 is intended to cover the unlikely case in which the only eligible Presidential candidate is also the Vice President. That would mean, for example, Joe Biden would be removed from office and the vacancy would be filled by John McCain (at Obama’s choice). Since the election of Joe Biden is relatively legitimate, he should be left in office.

But that brings up an interesting point. Even though Joe Biden’s eligibility to become Vice President is not in question, the actual manner in which he was elected is somewhat questionable. In some states, a Vice Presidential candidate is not eligible to receive electors if the other member of ticket is not eligible. This makes some, but not all of Joe Biden’s electoral votes illegitimate. I’m not going to take the time to find out if he would still have had enough votes to beat Sarah Palin. (The Electoral College ballots for President and Vice President are distinct according to the 12th Amendment. If any of Biden’s votes are illegitimate, these votes would all presumably go to Palin.) But the current wording of my amendment overrides all of this, making Joe Biden’s election official (if he is in fact, the de facto Vice President at the time that the amendment is ratified or similarly if another running mate or Vice President was subsequently chosen by Mr. Obama).

Finally, I want to explore a little bit about what would happen if Mr. Obama were declared ineligible and my amendment did not pass. Ordinarily, if a law is passed by Congress and if the President does not sign it in so many days, then it becomes law just as if he did. But what if there is no President? Is Joe Biden our real President (by the 20th Amendment)? Even if this is so, there have been other actions taken by Mr. Obama (such as executive orders) which are illegal since he is not our President. These would have to be dealt with in some way.

They are desperate to paint her a loser, when they know she is a potential winner. This article will demonstrate that the assertion made by some that the mainstream media influenced the election of Barack Obama is beyond mere speculation or sour grapes. It is evidence to back up the fact that the media directly influenced and altered the outcome of this year's presidential election. They essentially unduly interfered in the Democratic process.

John Ziegler on his website, "HowObamaGotElected.com" writes, “On November 4th, 2008 millions of Americans were shocked that a man of Barack Obama's limited experience, extreme liberal positions and radical political alliances could be elected President of the United States. For many of these Americans, the explanation was rather simple... the news media, completely enamored with Obama, simply refused to do their job.

“On Election day twelve Obama voters were interviewed extensively right after they voted to learn how the news media impacted their knowledge of what occurred during the campaign. These voters were chosen for their apparent intelligence/verbal abilities and willingness to express their opinions to a large audience. ZOGBY POLL: ALMOST NO OBAMA VOTERS ACE ELECTION TEST

John Ziegler then commissioned Zogby to run a scientific poll for him of over 500 persons who voted for Obama. He then compared the results and to the video he did on Election Day of some of the typical voters who voted for Barack Hussein Obama.

Here are some of the results from the very enlightening Zogby poll.

512 Obama Voters 11/13/08-11/15/08 MOE +/- 4.4 points

97.1% High School Graduate or higher, 55% College Graduates

Results to 12 simple Multiple Choice Questions

57.4% could NOT correctly say which party controls congress (50/50 shot just by guessing)

71.8% could NOT correctly say Joe Biden quit a previous campaign because of plagiarism (25% chance by guessing)

82.6% could NOT correctly say that Barack Obama won his first election by getting opponents kicked off the ballot (25% chance by guessing)

88.4% could NOT correctly say that Obama said his policies would likely bankrupt the coal industry and make energy rates skyrocket (25% chance by guessing)

56.1% could NOT correctly say Obama started his political career at the home of two former members of the Weather Underground (25% chance y guessing).

And yet.....

Only 13.7% failed to identify Sarah Palin as the person on which their party spent $150,000 in clothes

Only 6.2% failed to identify Palin as the one with a pregnant teenage daughter

And 86.9 % thought that Palin said that she could see Russia from her "house," even though that was Tina Fey who said that!!

Only 2.4% got at least 11 correct.

Only .5% got all of them correct. (And we "gave" one answer that was technically not Palin, but actually Tina Fey)

CONCLUSION

Ziegler concludes that the Zogby survey found that most Obama voters remembered negative coverage of McCain/Palin statements but struggled to correctly answer questions about coverage associated with Obama/Biden. Why is this? Ziegler concludes that it is primarily because of the media’s "scandalous and the mainstream media’s malpractice." I would add that the media’s deliberate and deep seated bias and manipulation of its election coverage was slanted almost exclusively in favor of the Obama/Biden ticket.

Why Vote Democrat?

T.D. forwards us this interesting humorous description of why someone might want to vote Democrat this year. The piece was apparently written by William F. Carling. I added my comments in italics in brackets following Carling's words. Barack Hussein Obama and his side-kick Joe Biden epitomize what it means to be a Democrat in the article below. There are also many RINO Republicans who fit the category or label "Democrat" as described below.

How Does Biden Handle Tough Questioning?

It was very really refreshing to see Orlando, Florida’s WFTV-Channel 9's Barbara West satellite interview with Democratic V.P. candidate Joe Biden last Thursday. However, it obviously ticked off the third most liberal senator in Congress. NewBusters.com reported that the Obama campaign cancelled Biden’s wife's scheduled interview with WFTV as well as all further interviews until after the election.

It seems to me that the opponents of the Democrats have been serving up high and hard ones daily by the mainstream media. The same is not the typical or truth of how the media relates to the messiah Obama or his chief prophet Biden.

Biden obviously was expecting typical Obama friendly softball type questioning. Instead, he got high hard fast balls thrown up and in the strike zone by this no nonsense Florida reporter. Prior to the debate I wrote the following in response to the Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch’s Hot Issue of the day.

The Hot Issue: Which candidate will perform better in the vice presidential debate tonight?

Governor Palin will be in enemy territory what with Gwin Ifill as the moderator. Ifill is an Obama supporter and is currently writing a book prominently featuring Obama, which is to be published around inaugural day. Is there a conflict of interest and/or one-sided bias? I'd say it is. If Governor Palin is herself she should win a tough debate, after all Senator Biden has been a Washington insider and making a living with his mouth debating for all the wrong causes for many years.

It will be very informative. You go, girl.

One other comment that caught my attention in response to this same Hot Issue was, “Sarah Palin - It will be from the heart and not from the archives of a smart X?! jawboner who has never done anything but talk!”

POST-DEBATE - THE ASSESSMENT

I was impressed with the overall impartiality of the moderator. She did a good and fair job. I was surprised by this. With the adverse PR before the debate – some even calling for her to withdraw herself – because she is a strong Obama supporter and is even in the process of writing a book dealing with him, maybe more pressure was on the mainstream media woman than was on one of the principals of the Vice Presidential debate. It was Ms. Ifill that was on the defensive.

Joe “working class roots” Biden, did a workmanlike job. But Palin shown with the same glow that President Ronald Reagan once did. Her demeanor and responses were exceptionally polished, yet believable and down-to-earth. No wonder the leftist elites hate her.

The Katie Couric and Charlie Gibson interviews were staged and manipulated to present Americans with a Palin in the worst light possible. They tried hard to make her look bad like they did Dan Quayle. Someone said today that there are three key milestones for any VP candidate. The first is the introductory speech following the announcement of the selection. The second is the speech at their party’s national political convention. And third, the Presidential debate. She shined at all three. Her candidacy was legitimized tonight. She held her own and then some against an experienced entrenched and egotistical politician.

Governor Palin was the clear winner of the debate, representing herself and her principles well. This was an timely antidote to the Couric-Gibson mainstream media setup. She should never submit herself to anymore taped interviews, only live interviews were the results cannot be manipulated or twisted for biased political purposes.

For a Change: Fresh Outsider or Stale Insider?

The moderator of this debate? It's PBS's Gwen Ifill, who is writing a book about Senator Barack Hussein Obama, which is slated to come out just after the Elections. See NewsBusters.com article. I think this should disqualify this person from being a moderator. I'd say it was a real conflict of interests. She'd be a more biased than liberal Jim Lehrer. What the mainstream media gets away with these days is atrocious.

Is Rodham-Clinton Still in the Mix?

I awoke in the middle of the night and listened briefly to the radio to a discussion about Senator Hillary Rodham-Clinton on a late night talk show. The host and guest were speculating about whether Hillary might be inserted into the struggling Obama-Biden Democratic Presidential ticket.

It was reported this week that Senator and Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Joe Biden told a campaign audience this week that she (Rodham-Clinton) was a better candidate to be either VP or President. Is he preparing to quit the race in light of all the apparent excitement generated by the GOP vice presidential candidate? There may be something there. After all, Biden got 9 K votes compared to 18 M for Rodham-Clinton.

I predict that Biden will resign by the end of September and that Obama will request that Rodham-Clinton join him as Vice President. The good news for Obama is that it increases his chance on winning the election, but the bad news for Obama is that it also increases his chances of not completing his term if elected.
