Miller-Murkowski Court Side

Joe Miller (JoeMiller.us) the Alaskan U.S. Senatorial candidate was in court Friday in his case against the state of Alaska in how they handled this year's general election, which seemed to favor Lisa Murkowski. Here is a portion of the statement generated yesterday by candidate Joe Miller from his website:

"... The (Alaska Supreme) Court appeared particularly concerned about the fact that the trial court granted the State summary judgment on Miller’s claims, without even giving him a chance to seek discovery or gather evidence in support of them. “We presented numerous questions of fact to the trial court. According to official state records, thousands of people were permitted to vote without showing identification. Further, the handwriting on all the write-in ballots from several precincts was the same, or appeared to be written by only a few people.” Campaign spokesman Randy DeSoto added, “An initial review by our campaign revealed that several hundred convicted sex offenders voted, and we are concerned that this may indicate a wider problem with many hundreds or even thousands who voted who were ineligible to do so. The State wants the Court to allow it to ignore this troubling evidence, turn a blind eye, and simply hope everything was fine with the election, instead of allowing us to investigate these problems and give the public some degree of assurance that the election was conducted legally and fairly.”

Miller Seeks Appellate Review

Here is the latest information on the Election for the U.S. Senate seat in Alaska, which pits sore loser and liberal incumbent Senator Lisa Murkowski versus her conservative challenger Joe Miller. This is the last major race still undecided in this election cycle. Hat tip goes to Joe Miller for pursuing this case. Someone has to draw the line and stand up to the suspect election fraud that is taking place in many locations.

Anchorage, Alaska. December 13, 2010 — Today, the Joe Miller for U.S. Senate Campaign filed its Notice of Appeal with the Alaska Supreme Court. The Court has issued an expedited briefing schedule, whereby Mr. Miller’s opening brief is due tomorrow, and the State’s opposition brief will be due on Wednesday. Oral argument on the appeal is scheduled for Friday December 17, 2010. Mr. Miller is appealing portions of Judge Carey’s ruling, including the ruling that essentially modifies state law that previously required write-in ballots to match the candidate’s declaration form, but now, after Judge Carey’s ruling, such ballots will be counted as long as an unelected bureaucrat believes he or she can determine or guess what a voter intended.
Said Mr. Miller, “We have consistently asserted that the law should be followed strictly. The fact that the legislature stated that there should be “no exceptions” to the ballot counting method is what, in our view, should govern this matter. Under the current ruling, there are now over 8,000 exceptions, a result everyone who favors the rule of law should question.”
Miller campaign spokesman Randy DeSoto added, “In order to get a fair and accurate count we need a hand review and count of Joe’s ballots. Lisa Murkowski’s were reviewed and counted in this fashion, but Miller ballots not tallied by the voting machines–due to the ballot not being filled out properly–are not included in his count. With over 255,000 ballots cast (and a less than 1% difference separating Miller and Murkowski in the unchallenged count), this number could be significant. Additionally, we have sworn statements of machines in various precincts not functioning properly. Equal protection under the law requires that Miller’s ballots be counted in the same fashion as Murkowski’s, by hand.”

Write-in C-O-R-R-U-P-T-I-O-N in Alaska

by Joe Miller

Joe Miller wrote an article in the Washington Times on Friday, December 3, 2010. It dealt with the corruption surrounding the general election for U.S. Senator in Alaska. It deals with Lisa Murkowski and the Alaska Native Corporations (ANC), which have been granted special status and can obtain lucrative no-bid government contracts at the American Taxpayers expense.

Liberal Sen. Lisa Murkowski is a loser even if she wins!

This morning http://TheCaucus.blogs.NYTimes.com reports, “Senator Lisa Murkowski is trying to intervene in the lawsuit brought earlier this week by her Tea Party-backed opponent Joe Miller. Ms. Murkowski’s lawyers claim that if she isn’t sworn in on Jan. 3 Alaska will be left with only one senator and she will lose her seniority.

Honestly, if Joe Miller does not pull out this win, I would not mind at all that Senator Lisa Murkowski would “lose her seniority.” Why? Because she will side with the liberal Democrats and the RINOs more often than not. At the minimum, I hope she does lose her seniority. More than that I hope that she loses the election and that rampant fraud and foul play will be discovered in the Alaskan election process.

Miller-Murkowski Race: Rampant fraud needs to be reamed out of Alaska

Jon Christian Ryter wrote an article, “Fraud Remains the Benchmark of Alaskan Elections,” today, which I found at www.FloydReports.com. I have been following the Miller-Murkowski election and its aftermath closely because I see it as very important to the health and welfare of our nation. We do not need another liberal RINO gumming up the works. A McCain is already one too many!

Ryter penned, “The American people need to pay attention to the most important political race in the nation. There’s a real vote fraud story going on in Alaska. Lawyers for the Tea Party‘s GOP US Senate nominee, Joe Miller have now filed enough lawsuits over the write-in vote dispute in the land of the midnight sun to bring Miller v. Murkowski into the courtrooms even though the AP, on Nov. 17, said the race is over and Sen. Lisa Murkowski was the winner. Shortly after the election Miller set up a vote fraud hotline to report what the Miller Campaign called “serious allegations of fraud and voter bullying.” As they have all over the country, reports alleging both vote fraud and voter bullying in Alaska began to surface shortly after the election . . .

Joe Miller fights on in contentious Alaskan election

For a Conservative Congress

Below is a portion of the actual order from Judge Ralph Beistline, US District Judge, in response to Joe Miller’s preliminary injunction filed to halt the certification of the election in Alaska for U.S. Senate. Judge Beistline granted the request pending Miller’s continued pursuit of the issue in the Alaskan state court system.

“…this matter is hereby STAYED so that the parties may bring this dispute before the appropriate State tribunal. The Court shall retain jurisdiction pursuant too Pullman and will remain available to review any constitutional issues that may exist once the State remedies have been exhausted. In order to ensure that these serious State law issues are resolved prior to certification oof the election, the Court hereby conditionally GRANTS Planintiff’s motion to enjoin certification of the election. If an action is filed in State Court on or before November 22, 2010, the results of this election shall not be certified until the legal issues raised therein have been fully and finally resolved.”

I have been following closely the news about this extremely important election. We really need Joe Miller’s conservative voice. Likewise, we most definitely do not need liberal Lisa Murkowski's voice and vote in the Reid-led Senate. At best she is a RINO, at worst she is an ally in the camp of the Soetoro/Obama-Reid-Pelosi nightmare team.

I sincerely hope and pray that Joe Miller is victorious in this critical election. In some respects it would reverse the debacle that occurred in another close election in Minnesota that brought us Al “not so funny” Franken to the hallowed halls of Congress.

Joe Miller Files Legal Challenge To Murkowski 'Win'

Senator Murkowski claims victory, but result still a bit murky!

Hat tip to RealClearPolitics.com for posting these words and video on their website regarding the important still undecided election. "Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Joe Miller (Alaska) is challenging the results of the race in court. Note: FOXNews.com host Neil Cavuto says Lisa Murkowski canceled an appearance on his show."

Election Shenanigans in Alaska

In the developing story of the Alaskan U.S. Senatorial election between incumbent establishment good ole gal RINO Lisa Murkowski versus Tea Party supported Joe Miller, Mark Levin went to the source. The person charged with overseeing the election process. That was Craig Campbell, Lieutenant Governor. Mark had Mr. Campbell on his show tonight and grilled him for a quarter of an hour.

Nothing was actually resolved. Right now there is a bunch of write-in ballots that need to be counted. There are a number of absentee ballots that are yet to be counted. As it stands now Joe Miller, the Republican primary winner and challenger is behind by about 13,000 votes. Loser of the Republican primary and desperately wanting to hold on to the power and prestige of her Senate seat is running as an independent.

The actual count of write-in ballots will begin on Wednesday. Much to the consternation of the Miller campaign, the date of the counting started a week earlier than was originall announced, which as to be Thursday, November 18. According to Joe Miller his campaign was not notified of the change and had to scramble to get its observers and legal team to Juno, the state capital.

Here is a description that accompanied the embedded YouTube video below: “Mark Levins talks with Lieutenant Governor Craig Campbell of Alaska about the up coming vote count on Wednesday and he asked him questions why he has been changing some of the rules of the game.

We may have a better indication of how this election will go perhaps by the end of the week. It may be tied up in courts for quite some time if the numbers are very close … Stay tuned …

Video: Fed Contractor Encourages Employees to Vote Murkowski

Hat tip goes to Floyd Brown who sent me a link to the video found below. This is but more unseemly news from the murky Lisa Murkowski campaign camp way up north in Alaska. She is desperate to retain her comfortable, enriching and entitled seat in the U.S. Senate.

Help America by helping Joe Miller in Alaska

New York Post Photo

Alaska needs Joe Miller, more importantly America needs Joe Miller! Senator Jim DeMint, a strong conservative leader in the U.S. Senate, created the Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF) and helped to raise a significant amount of money for some excellent conservative candidates including: Joe Miller (AK). In all his fund supported 11 conservative candidates. Five won and five lost their elections. The five winners were: Marco Rubio (FL), Rand Paul (KY), Ron Johnson (WI), Pat Toomey (PA), and Mike Lee (UT). The five who lost their bids were pro-government media targets Christine O'Donnell (D) and Sharron Angle (NV) as well as Dino Rossi (WA), John Raese (WV) and Ken Buck (CO). One race is still in limbo, that's the Alaskan election for US Senate. Joe Miller is a need voice in the Senate to counter the loud and grating voices of the far leftist like Chuck Schumer (NY) Barbara Boxer(CA), Harry Reid (NV) and Sherrod Brown (OH). If and when Miller wins the SCF will have helped to elect a majority of their endorsed conservative candidates this fall. It would be an even larger success than it is today.

The conservatives in January will not only have to battle the Soetoro/Obama-Reid destructive duo, but their own Country Club Republicans likes Lindsey Graham (NC), John McCain (AZ), Oympia Snowe (ME) and Mark Kirk (IL). Next year will see historic battles in the Senate over the hearts and mind of not only the Republican Party but America.

If you are a conservative please strongly consider contributing to the Joe Miller Recount Fund being raised by Senator Jim DeMint's Senate Conservatives Fund by clicking here. Or, you can contribute directly by going to www.JoeMiller.us!

Here is an urgent plea from Senator DeMint:

Dear Fellow Conservative:

Joe Miller, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Alaska, needs our help. He's in the race of his life against Senator Lisa Murkowski who ran as a independent write-in candidate after losing the Republican primary.

With the race still too close to call, there are still tens of thousands of ballots that haven't been counted and there will be a recount to verify the integrity of the write-in ballots.

Joe Miller can win this race but he's up against a well-financed legal team that is working for Lisa Murkowski. They will be fighting to bend the law in Alaska, which requires write-in ballots to accurately state the candidate's name.

Joe Miller needs our immediate help.

The costs associated with maintaining the integrity of this election could be very high, especially if the legal battles go on for a while. Joe does not have the support of the special interests in Washington and he cannot rely on national Republicans to do everything that's needed to defend him.

Joe Miller needs the help of freedom-loving Americans who recognize the importance of winning this race. Joe Miller will stand up to the big spenders in both political parties and help stop the massive spending, bailouts, and debt that threaten our future.

Please make a contribution to the Joe Miller Recount Fund today.

This is a separate committee that has separate contribution limits. Individuals may contribute up to $2,400 to the Joe Miller Recount Fund even if they made contributions to his campaign before November 2nd.

Thank you for everything you have done to support the principles of freedom. Thank you in advance for supporting Joe Miller in this critical battle.

Sincerely,

Jim DeMint
United States Senator
Chairman, Senate Conservatives Fund

Here is a statement made by Joe Miller himself:

The campaign remains optimistic that Joe Miller will be the next U.S. Senator from the state of Alaska.

Previous write-in campaigns in Alaska have demonstrated that as much as 5 to 6% of returned ballots have not met the standard to be counted as a valid vote.

As with any write-in campaign, the burden of execution rests with the candidate whose name is not on the ballot. Candidates who mount a write-in campaign opt for an uphill battle. At this point, without a single write-in ballot counted, Lisa Murkowski has no claim on a victory.

To complicate the matter, the Division of Elections has yet to adequately explain how a ballot will be marked in favor of a candidate. The current standards are extraordinarily ambiguous.

We trust that officials will conduct the hand count with propriety and consistency.

In short, this campaign is not over!

Big Primary Election Today from AK to AZ

In Alaska I would love to see challenger Joe Miller beat down the incumbent Senator Lisa Murkowski, who is no conservative. Sarah Palin endorses Joe Miller. I think Miller has a good chance in this race.

In Arizona I would like to see either J.D. Hayworth or Jim Deakin upset incumbent Senator John McCain in the Republican primary election. Palin endorses McCain, proving she is very fallible.

Murkowski and McCain are symptomatic of all that is wrong with the Republican Party - its left wing. Murkowski and McCain are symptomatic of all that is wrong with the Republican wing Party. Neither are consistent conservatives, nor adhere to conservative principles. On many issues they are essentially Democrats.
