After the Ruling, part 4

This is the fourth and final article in a series of articles about what to do in the wake of the wicked decision by the Supreme Court of the United States (SCOTUS) to force states to recognize same-sex unions as if they were marriages.  It’s time to stop compromising and get back to doing what is right.  It’s time to stop getting hung up on things that don’t matter and to prepare for what is likely to be a great persecution.

What can a godly statesman or political activist do in these times?
The states can combat the gay marriage ruling by simply refusing to obey it.  If a state chooses to abolish marriage licenses altogether, they might not have to recognize any marriage licenses, including those issued to sodomites.  There are also efforts to call into question the eligibility of two SCOTUS justices Kagan and Ginsburg from the case on the basis of a conflict of interest.  But in the current political climate these are unlikely to succeed.

Short of that, the best thing to do is to support legislation which reduces the benefits that government hands out as an incentive for marriage.  Get rid of all tax breaks for marriage.  In Ohio, I was part of a successful effort to get rid of our state inheritance tax.  If you have it in your state, urge your representatives to get rid out it or start a ballot initiative to repeal it if that is an option in your state.  If that can’t be done, then support the elimination all exemptions, especially the spousal exemption or allow one to choose any one heir (not necessarily a spouse) to be exempted from the tax.  The only benefit that a married couple needs to receive from the government is the recognition that they have joint custody of their children and that only at the local level.  Try to reduce or get rid of child tax credits, since these now can be had by sodomites.  Support legislation to block same-sex couples from having joint custody of children.  Support state legislation which effectively nullifies unjust federal tax incentives and penalties, by refunding the state’s citizens of their federal income taxes or appropriate portions thereof.

Support legislation to protect parental rights from being taken away by the federal government.
Do not vote for any candidates unless they refuse to have anything to do with taxpayer funding of sinful behavior.  Do not vote for any candidates for county clerk unless they refuse to issue same-sex marriage licenses.  Do not vote for any judges unless they refuse to perform same-sex marriage ceremonies and refuse to participate in awarding same-sex couples joint custody of children.  They should not even have custody of children at all if they are in a same-sex relationship.  It is very harmful to children.  It warps their minds.

I have reached the point where I think that most of my time would be best spent building up the church and forming biblical congregations as God intended rather than wasting my time trying to convince those in power who do not know God to do what is just and right.  If you do decide to get involved in politics, don’t bother with the federal government.  Try to reverse the damage at the state and local levels.

Summary

We are in the world, but we are not of the world.  Avoid situations where people can coerce you into participating in sinful behavior.  Avoid any dealing with the government, especially the federal government.  Be prepared for persecution.  Learn to depend on other Christians and on God and try not to be dependent on the wicked for your livelihood or allow them to have any other hold on you.  Be patient with sodomites and other sinners when witnessing to them realizing that past experiences may have led them into their wicked lifestyle.  But also realize that if they don’t repent, they will be damned.  Rid yourself of all hypocrisy which includes condoning unbiblical remarriage after divorce.

Judge David Hamilton Should Not Be Confirmed!

Stop this radically pro-death judicial appointment

Beginning in the following paragraph is part of an email, which I received from the Ohio Christian Alliance, regarding President Barry Soetoro's (a/k/a Barack Obama) first judicial nominee, David Hamilton. Like himself, Soetoro's (alias Obama) and his nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, Hamilton is vehemently and radically pro-death (pro-abortion) as well as being a judicial activist.

"The Senate Judiciary Committee will hold a confirmation hearing today (Wednesday), on Judge David Hamilton, the abortion advocate who Obama has appointed to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals as his first judicial pick. The 7th Circuit covers Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.

"Hamilton served in leadership with the ACLU and as a fundraiser for ACORN. . .
. .
"Hamilton was initially appointed by President Clinton to a district judgeship in Indiana in 1994. ABA gave him a “not qualified” rating. Over a period of 7 years Hamilton proceeded to issue a series of rulings preventing Indiana from implementing its informed consent law which would have given women information about abortion's risks and alternatives. The 7th Circuit Court, (the very court to which he has now been nominated), overturned Hamilton's rulings and issued a statement rebuking him for holding up the law.

“For seven years Indiana has been prevented from enforcing a statute materially identical to a law held valid by the Supreme Court in Casey, by this court in Karlin, and by the fifth circuit in Barnes. No court anywhere in the country (other than one district judge in Indiana) has held any similar law invalid in the years since Casey. Although Salerno does not foreclose all pre-enforcement challenges to abortion laws, it is an abuse of discretion for a district judge to issue a pre-enforcement injunction while the effects of the law (and reasons for those effects) are open to debate. What happened in Mississippi and Utah does not imply that the effects in Indiana are bound to be unconstitutional, so Indiana (like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin) is entitled to put its law into effect and have that law judged by its own consequences.”

TAKE ACTION

Call your U.S. Senators and urge them to vote NO on the confirmation of David Hamilton. Click on the link below for their contact information.

http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

Here is a sample email that you can use as you email your Senators. This wording was suggested by Liberty Council. You can chose, as I did, to also send faxes to your Senators as well as some or all the members of the judiciary committee. Or you can email your senators at the email address given in the link above.

Senator _______________:

I urge you to vote against the confirmation of David Hamilton to the 7th Circuit.

Hamilton’s views are far outside the legal mainstream. In 2005, he ruled that prayers to Jesus were sectarian and unconstitutional while stating that prayers to "Allah" were acceptable. In addition, Hamilton is also ardently pro-abortion. This former
ACLU attorney blocked an informed consent abortion law in Indiana that is nearly identical to a law approved by the Supreme Court. In fact, the 7th Circuit called Hamilton’s obstruction of the informed consent law "an abuse of discretion."

Hamilton should not be confirmed. The President cannot be allowed to politicize our courts with partisan, ideological appointments.

Judge Southwick Confirmed

Radical Left Losses One

It is about time.

Congress.org reported that the nomination of Leslie Southwick to be U.S. Circuit Judge was confirmed 59-38. The Senate confirmed Mississippi Appeals Court Judge Leslie Southwick to sit on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit.

Here is how my two Senators voted:

Sen. George Voinovich voted YES
Sen. Sherrod Brown voted NO

This is but one of the many reasons I did not and would not vote for this political- kin-to-UFO-observer-Kucinich & radically liberal senator from Ohio, Senator Sherrod Brown. He and Senator Hillary Rodham-Rodham Clinton are cut from the same cloth. In fact, the whole Democrat Party leadership are clothed in the same cheap garment.

Judge Southwick was very qualified, as was Judge Robert Bork. Like Judge Bork his only fault was that he was conservative. Our courts are overrun by activist leftist judges, which has resulted in very great harm to this nation. That is why elections are important, especially the presidential election.

The Rule of Law Part 1 of 3

Idolatry

Whenever I hear the term, “Rule of Law,” used it reminds me of the trial of Jesus. Pontius Pilate said. “… “… I find no basis for a charge against him.” The Jews replied, “We have a law, and by that law He ought to die for him being a man makes himself the Son of God.” (1) They were claiming this was the rule of law that Jesus violated. This was after Pilate had offered to release a prisoner to the people and asked if they wanted him to release the King of the Jews. To this the people answered, “Not Him but Barabbas. (2) They rejected the true God for something else. Isn’t this idolatry?
.
Citing the law releases the person of responsibility for moral conduct thereby promoting irresponsibility, injustice and wickedness. The wicked make mischief by law (3) and evil judges make oppressive decrees. (4)
.
The state legislature in Utah showed the power of the law when they passed a law stating that the Great Salt Lake could not rise above a certain elevation. That winter heavy snows were laid in the mountains around the Lake. When thy melted and the water flowed into the lake it rose ten feet above the elevation the law specified. The law did not have the ability to rule over the weather, the runoff or stop the lake from rising.
.
Laws in the rule of law are made by men and put on a document. It does not have the ability to rule in and of itself. Only people rule. With the rule of law it is the priest of the law who rule and their decrees become law. They wear black robes and are called judges. Men and women serve to light the fires of intellect by their wisdom and insight. They are known as lawyers. Finally, the enforcers of the law provide the power for the law known as law enforcement. These are commonly called marshalls, police, sheriffs and agents.

The law then becomes what these people say it is. If they are evil, the law becomes evil. If they are good, the law becomes good. In the Old Testament Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, told Moses to appoint leaders to judge the people who feared God and could be trusted not to take a bribe. (5) God says that when one rules over men in righteousness in the fear of God, he is like the morning light at sunrise on a cloudless morning or the brightness after the rain which causes the grass to spring forth from the earth.
