Unplanned (2019), Coming Face-to-Face with the Abortion Reality

The Unplanned (2019) movie continues in theaters around the country. In the Mansfield, Ohio area, for example, Unplanned is playing in its fourth week. If you haven’t seen Unplanned or if you are hesitant about seeing it, don’t be! There is much to learn about the abortion issue in this film, no matter what side of the abortion debate you are currently on, pro- or anti-abortion.

The panel discussed the movie Unplanned, abortion, the highly criticized Planned Parenthood and Kermit Gosnell, the convicted and incarcerated abortionist and criminal.

Besides an intense and thorough discussion on Unplanned, there were comments on the podcast about two additional movies, one another feature film, Gosnell, The Trial of America’s Biggest Serial Killer, and the other a related documentary, 3801 Lancaster, An American Tragedy, which explored more of the insidious Gosnell story.

When all is said and done the movie opens the door wide for a behind the scenes look into the local abortion provider operation and exposes the depth of deceit, destruction and depravity that occurs there on a day-by-day basis. And this is all done in the name of “Choice,” and “Women’s Reproductive Rights” and “Equality."

The movie is primary about a 10-year period in the life of Abby Johnson. She grew from a naïve college student to a pro-life activist by means of a stint as an executive director of one of Planned Parenthood's abortion facilities. It is a true and remarkable story.

Although I do not agree with neither the movie's nor the radio's panel's inaccurate portrayal of all abolitionists, those who show photos of aborted babies, overall the movie was great in that it provided a behind-the-curtain look at the stark reality of the horrific, inhumane and bloodthirsty industry.

Instead of the R-rating that was given to this movie, I would rate it "must-see" for every adult and teenager.

Two Abortion Clinics to Close in Ohio!

Hat tip goes to Citizens for Community Values which emailed the following  good news story. It shows that Dr. Kermit Gosnell is not an outlier, but more typical of the corruption in today’s heinous abortion business.

OHIO. Thanks to a search from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), two abortion clinics will be closing in Ohio! The two clinics are Capital Care facility in Cleveland and the Center for Choice facility in Toledo. The misuse of drugs was what led to the search from the DEA. During the drug investigation a host of other violations was discovered. It’s important to remember that it was also a search from the DEA that brought Gosnell’s house of horrors in Pennsylvania into light. CCV celebrates the closing of these clinics that will no longer be able to wield their unsafe practices on women and for the unborn lives that will be spared as a result. 

“This is just proof of what we have known to be true about abortion clinics all along,” said CCV President Phil Burress. “Activists try to paint abortion as being an essential right of healthcare for women but what we are discovering more and more is that abortion is profoundly anti-women within all generations. Their blatant disregard for women’s safety evidenced in the filthy conditions in which abortion clinics operate to the millions of young girls that have been killed in the womb evidence how abortion is the real war on women,”  said Burress.

What Difference Will the Gosnell Verdict Make?

Columbus, OH – May 14, 2013 – Today, Ohio pro-life groups joined together at a Columbus, OH late-term abortion facility to vow to end child-killing once and for all.

"(Dr. Kermit) Gosnell is not an anomaly,” Mark Harrington said.  "All child-killing, whether committed on the born or the preborn, must be outlawed.  After Gosnell, pro-lifers are even more dedicated to ending baby-killing in our nation.”

A broad swath of the anti-abortion movement was represented at this Press Conference.  In addition to Created Equal, those present at the press conference were Peggy Hartshorn of Heartbeat International, Beth Vanderkooi of Greater Columbus Right to Life, Linda Harvey of Mission America, Katelyn Neil of 40 Days for Life, and Linda Reidelbach of Ohio Pro-Life Action.

I personally participated in protesting in front of this particular killing center on Cleveland Avenue in Columbus, Ohio in two past 40 Days for Life events. 

"Complete Healthcare for Women" translates into: we'll kill your baby for the right price. Abortion is not healthcare. Abortion is murder, the taking of life. Healthcare is supposed to be all about saving life!

The Media's Priority Is Seen By What They Cover or Don't Cover

 

The main stream media (ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, etc) covers the Jodi Arias trial outcome and the ongoing Cleveland Castro kidnappers story 24/7, but refuse to cover either the  grizzly abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell, or shine even a little light on BenghaziGate and the lies of Barack “Do-Not-Disturb-Me Sign” Obama and Hillary “What Difference Does It Make at this Point” Clinton.

When it comes right down to it: It's sensationalism over substance, advancing the agenda of the Left over advancing the truth, and protection and PR for the President over real journalism.

Abortion, A Pillar of the Socialist State

I read another Alternet.org article this morning titled, “My Job at the Abortion Hotline, I never met the women I counseled, but they taught me what it means to be pregnant, desperate and afraid.” It was written by an obvious Pro-Death, Pro-Abortion, Pro-Choice advocate. I periodically comment on some of these radically leftist articles. My comments to the article were eventually published after a delay apparently after moderator review. I was appreciative of their eventual publication.

Isn't it interesting, Kerry, that you start off your article mentioning alleged murderer and abortionist Dr. Kermit Gosnell. You mention that you worked for the National Abortion Federation on their national hotline (of misinformation?). You failed to mention, however, that the "Kermit Gosnell Grand Jury Report: National Abortion Federation deemed Gosnell’s abortion clinic “beyond redemption” but does not tell authorities." There is also a great deal of evidence that Planned Parenthood, the biggest abortion provider, often acts above the law, as well. They ignore or look the other way when under-aged girls, possible victims of rape, visit their clinics and are advised to not discuss the fathers of the babies if the fathers are adults.

Did that abortion provider hotline you worked for tell the truth about those typical questions that the pregnant girls and women called about?

Will it hurt? IT SURE DID HURT THOSE WOMEN SEEKING ABORTIONS FROM DR. GOSNELL AND MANY OTHER UNREGULATED HOUSE OF HORROR ACROSS THE NATION. GOSNELL EVEN HAD UNQUALIFIED STAFF ADMINISTER ANESTHESIA.

Will I be able to have children later? THERE IS A GREATER CHANCE THAT IF GIRLS OR WOMEN HAVE AN ABORTION IT WILL AFFECT CHILDBEARING IN LATER YEARS FOR SOME.

What if there are complications? OFTEN TIMES THERE ARE COMPLICATIONS LIKE RUPTURED UTERUS, INABILITY TO HAVE CHILDREN LATER...

What is the procedure like? ASK THE WOMEN WHO VISIT CLINICS LIKE GOSNELL'S, WHERE BLACK WOMEN WERE TREATED WORSE THAN WHITE WOMEN.

Will I be psychologically scarred? ABSOLUTELY, FOR MANY WOMEN THEY ARE AFFECTED BY THE DEATH OF THEIR BABIES THE REST OF THEIR LIFE. THE GUILT AND REGRET IS REAL AND LONG-LASTING.

Working for abortion providers as you did on their hotline, I am sure none of the potential negative aspects of this cruel procedure are discussed to any extent; it wouldn't be good for business...

Why are women not encouraged to give their babies up for adoption? It wouldn't be good for business...

Abortion is a ‘sacred’ sacrament of the Left in this nation and worldwide. A woman’s-right-to-choose-to-kill-her-offspring is one of the main pillars that supports and sustains the movement to fundamentally transform America into a godless, socialist state… It must be protected and preserved at all costs, even if that cost is humanity, itself...

The Media, Michael Vick, and Kermit Gosnell

There is no better way to illustrate the debauchery and the gross malpractice of the Media than the above photo. The dishonest, hypocritical and agenda-driven media drummed up so much angst toward NFL superstar Michael Vick’s mistreatment of his dogs, that he was even placed in jail. He nearly lost his career. There was a tremendous, nonstop coverage about this tragedy across the nation. The relentless coverage of this story gripped the nation for a very long time. 

Yes, Vick’s act of violence toward his dogs was bad, even despicable, yet it is incomparable to the extreme cruelty and inhumanity displayed by this abortionist doctor, Kermit Gosnell, in his mistreatment of his fellow human beings. Furthermore, there was and continues to be no outcry, no outrage, no condemnation, no leading the cause to obtain justice for the victims, who are not mere animals, but human beings, mothers and multiple number of nameless, faceless babies, who were made in the very image of God.

I am not quite sure which is the worse atrocity committed, Gosnell’s unseemly murders and desecration of the bodies of the innocents, and his subsequent cover-up of evidence, or the media’s criminal negligence and lack of journalistic integrity in covering Gosnell’s story and murder trial. The media turned a collective blind eye and maintains a blind allegiance to a most wicked agenda – the protection of the ‘sacred’ sacrament of the Left, abortion, which they routinely do no matter what the cost. The cost includes the absolute absence of basic human decency and compassion.

Gosnell, A Modern Day Menegle?

The graphic and gruesome account of the loathsome Nazi Josef Mengele-like doctor and his own ‘House of Horrors’ abortuary has been mostly suppressed by the Main Stream Media because it goes against the wave of their wicked Pro-Death agenda. There was an explosive article written by Conor Friedersdorf  in The Atlantic exposing the lack of interest and coverage on the part of the Media, “Why Dr. Kermit Gosnell's Trial Should Be a Front-Page Story. The dead babies. The exploited women. The racism. The numerous governmental failures. It is thoroughly newsworthy.” 

As noted by the author of the article, the conclusion by the Grand Jury in their report on the oversight failures by many Pennsylvanian governmental agencies in the Gosnell case states:

Bureaucratic inertia is not exactly news. We understand that. But we think this was something more. We think the reason no one acted is because the women in question were poor and of color, because the victims were infants without identities, and because the subject was the political football of abortion.

How could such an atrocity as what occurred in Gosnell’s Philadelphian extermination chamber exist in modern America? This situation may not be atypical.

The staggering number of abortions, the illegal activities such as not reporting suspected child rape cases by Planned Parenthood, the lack of regulation of abortion clinics, the disregard for the life of the mother after the abortion, the use of taxpayer funds to subsidize Planned Parenthood to the tune of 1/2 Billion dollars annually, and the overall ignoring or ‘look the other way’ attitude of many governmental agencies and regulators toward the way abortions are occurring in the so-called clinics are all appalling. Having an American President recently reiterate his unflinching, blatant, and shameless support for the evil Planned Parenthood operation is equally disturbing.
