Conservatives Should Redefine "Racist"

Chuck Woolery has a regular YouTube video feature called Save Us Chuck. In his latest episode republished below Chuck Woolery offers a new definition of “racist.” Woolery posits that if liberals can redefine the original intent of words to drive their agenda or repackage it to mean entirely antithetical meanings, then why can’t conservatives also begin to redefine words. For example, liberals have reprocessed such words as “gay,” “progressive,” “choice” or “women’s rights” to suite their agenda.

Liberals love to use the term or label "racist" as a pejorative against conservatives all the time. It is one of their sure-fire tactics in many election cycles. So why can’t conservatives redefine such a word like “racist” to put across their fundamental beliefs as well?  Woolery spells out his conservative definition of racist:

Racist: A noun used to describe a person that holds the belief that people are responsible for their own actions regardless of their skin color or ethnicity.

In light of this new definition “racist” thus becomes a positive word expressing a basic tenet of conservatism, personal responsibility, which crosses all races and ethnicities. Why should the liberals and their fawning and complicit media friends have exclusivity on reinventing the meaning of long-standing words?

How Much More Destructive Can the Progressives Be?

I came across an editorial written by Don Hazen on Alternet.org, my ‘favorite’ leftist website. His editorial was titled, “Fighting the 4 Plagues -- We Have To Do Things Differently, Clearly things must change and we're leading the fight, but we need your help to honethe right strategy.” It was basically a plea for money to support the work of this radically progressive website.

 

I made the following comment, which stirred some discussion:

The author states, “We need your support as we take a tough look at progressive politics in America and see how it could be more effective and successful.” How much more ‘successful’ could the left be? 

 

I think that America has had quite enough of all the Obama and Progressive ‘effectiveness’ and ‘successes’ that it can shoulder: ObamaCare, Amnesty for Illegal Aliens, Diversity, Political Correctness, Gun Control, Social Engineering in the Military, Appeasing of our Enemies, Welfare, Crony Capitalism (Government Motors, Solyndra), Dodd-Frank, Marxism everywhere and on and on! 

Not to mention the never-ending progressive Obama Administration scandals: Fast and Furious, IRS Gate, NSA Spying Gate, Benghazi Gate, and an ever-expanding Welfare State...

Personally, I'm fed up with the ‘successes’ of the fundamental transformation of America from freedom to tyranny. 

Put that in your collective progressive medicinal marijuana pipe, but please don't inhale...!

Michael Case replied,   “And now we see the reason why we are where we are. I will dispense with debating your points and your barbs because the effort would be wasted. I would merely ask if you had and helpful suggestions or would you rather I bring you some cheese to go with the whine.”

So I gave Michael "Helpful suggestions" seven off the top of my head:

*  Secure the borders and enforce current immigration law, take an incremental approach to the illegal alien immigration problem

*  Permit parents school vouchers to send to successful schools that teach, not failed schools that indoctrinate
*  End welfare payments to those who can work, reinstate work requirements for welfare benefits
*  Encourage domestic natural gas and oil production and reduce dependence on the enemies of America
*  Respect the right to life for all Americans born and unborn
*  Stop granting special privileges to persons who choose to live an alternate lifestyle
*  Stop wasteful government spending, spend only what revenue is received and start paying off the horrendous national debt, not increasing it continually...

Analyze That ...

Obviously, unsatisfied, Michael asked, “Do you have any suggestions that are reality based and not on a Fundamentalist Christian "Immigrants are bad, taxpayer funded religious schools are good and do not violate the 1st amendment, get rid of the moochers, the oil is never going to run out, homophobic, I really don't understand how the government debt really works" perspective?

I was more than glad to oblige:

Michael, my suggestions are reality-based, truth-based. You, as those on the Alternet Left try to marginalize, minimize, trivialize, and otherwise distort any opposing views and solutions.

IMMIGRATION

No one said 'immigrants are bad.' I am all for LEGAL immigration. I am not for treating illegal aliens better than American citizens, which is what the Democrat-RINOs backed Amnesty Bill does by trying to shove it down the taxpayers throats, again, I am FOR an INCREMENTAL approach to immigration reform. How about securing our borders, building the fence we were promised in 2007? How about enforcing the CURRENT immigration laws, which Eric Holder and Barack Obama refuse to enforce?

EDUCATION

Did I say anything about 'religious schools,' now did I? There are many alternative to the failed government schools besides 'religious schools.' Why would you deny parents getting the BEST education for their children? By the way, a part of the 1st Amendment includes government shall not prohibiting the free exercise of religion. The Left, the Obama  Administration, the ACLU and other leftist organizations do all they can to squelch the FREE EXERCISE of religion in the public square, schools and everywhere...

WELFARE

So putting conditions on welfare recipients is trying to 'get rid of the moochers'? What a warped view of giving a hand out instead of a hand up, that you have, my friend. It seems to me that Rush Limbaugh is pretty accurate when he calls out the biggest moocher of all, Moochelle Obama, for her extravagance and her 'let them eat cake' attitude...

ENERGY

Did I say 'the oil is never going to run out?' I said lets become less dependent on the communists (Venezuela) and the Islamists (Saudis) and develop, produce our own reserves. At the same time we can work on affordable alternative sources... It is foolishness to think wind and sun can take the the place of oil and gas right now. 

HOMOSEXUALITY

 

Demanding that Americans not only accept, but embrace the homosexual lifestyle contrary to biblical guidance and conscience is somehow 'homophobic'? Wow.

NATIONAL DEBT

 

Debt is accumulated by spending more than tax collected. Red ink is red ink for the individual, the small business, a global conglomerate or any government, municipal, state or federal. So tell me where I wrong and tell me 'how government really works.' I know that our government is not working now. It is wasting money, it is building debt, nothing else...

Maybe I should have agreed to follow your initial advice, "I will dispense with debating your points and your barbs because the effort would be wasted." I hope that my expounding wasn't a complete waste of your and my time. We just live on opposite ends of the political spectrum don't we? Liberty versus tyranny...

It’s Lame Duck Season

This week begins what could be more destructive legislation by a lame duck Congress and a lame duck President. I say lame duck President, because for all practical purposes this ideologue will not seek the middle road with the new Republicans in Congress, he will stand firm and maneuver even further left, if that is possible. The Democrats, it will be shown, are slow learners. As I said before, this is the last hoorah of the controversial and increasingly unpopular President and his sidekick Speaker of the House Pelosi. Gridlock will be the best that can be hoped for in stopping the grand socialist agenda of the current regime and current Congress.

Looking at the next few weeks, here is what we can expect from this last ditch effort of the 111^th Congress to seal the legacy of Madame Speaker Nancy Pelosi, less-of-a-majority leader Harry Reid, and the one-term President Barry Soetoro a/k/a Barack Obama:

·                    Attempted passage of Amnesty in Disguise (the DREAM Act)

·                    Attempted repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell

·                    Attempted repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act

·                    Attempted passage of Card-Check granting additional rights to unions to organize

·                    Attempted passage of Cap and Trade energy legislation which would increase how much a family pays to heat its home and drive their automobiles.

·                    Allowing the Bush Tax Cuts to expire

·                    Removal of current protections against unethical human embryonic experimentation

One Nation Working Together Rally, Washington DC 10/2/10

Contrived or Grassroots?

Here is a brief description found on YouTuibe describing the event, “Socialist protesters and paraphernalia dominated today's left-wing protest rally in Washington, DC. The so-called "One Nation Working Together" rally was led by labor union and other liberal cause radical leaders as an attempted to counter Glenn Beck's Restoring Honor Rally, which took place in DC on 8-28-2010.”

There was a Who’s Who of Leftist organizations who participated and endorsed this contrived demonstration. The groups included the key Leftist issues and supporters of the current regime such as

· abortion,

· homosexuality,

· amnesty groups

· extremist environmentalists,

· labor unions,

· so-called civil rights organizations,

· liberal churches and organizations

· political parties

Here are a few of the more recognizable organizations that endorsed this leftist project:

· AFL-CIO

· American Federation of Teachers

· Climate Crisis Coalition

· Code Pink

· Communist Party USA (CPUSA)

· Democratic Socialist of America

· Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN)

I would sum up this rally in a word, “contrived,” it was organized from the top down as opposed to the Tea Party and even Glenn Beck’s “Restore Honor” Rally on 8/28/2010. I suspect that many of those in attendance were paid attendees or were coerced to attend by union bosses or George Soros cash. Whereas the Tea Party Protests and Glenn Beck’s Rally was for the most part where true grassroots efforts. People paid their way by bus or car. I suspect that many of those in attendance at the “One Nation” had their way paid for by various sponsor organizations.

The Democrats' Many Blind Followers

“A pretty little girl named Suzy was standing on the sidewalk in front of her home. Next to her was a basket containing a number of tiny creatures; in her hand was a sign announcing FREE KITTENS.

“Suddenly a line of big black cars pulled up beside her. Out of the lead car stepped a tall, grinning man.

“"Hi there little girl, I'm President Obama. What do you have in the basket?" he asked.

“"Kittens," little Suzy said.

“"How old are they?" asked (Soetoro aka) Obama.

”Suzy replied, "They're so young, their eyes aren't even open yet."

“"And what kind of kittens are they?"

“"Democrats," answered Suzy with a smile.

“(Soetoro alias) Obama was delighted. As soon as he returned to his car, he called his PR chief and told him about the little girl and the kittens.

“Recognizing the perfect photo op, the two men agreed that the president should return the next day; and in front of the assembled media, have the girl talk about her discerning kittens.

“So the next day, Suzy was again standing on the sidewalk with her basket of "FREE KITTENS," when another motorcade pulled up, this time followed by vans from ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN.

“Cameras and audio equipment were quickly set up, then (Soetoro) Obama got out of his limo and walked over to little Suzy.

"Hello, again," he said, "I'd love it if you would tell all my friends out there what kind of kittens you're giving away."

"Yes sir," Suzy said. "They're Republicans."

"Taken by surprise, the president stammered, "But... but... yesterday, you told me they were DEMOCRATS."

"Little Suzy smiled and said, "I know. But today, they have their eyes open""
