Outmanned Democrats Celebrate A Major Victory Over Spineless Republicans

As if I was not aggravated enough at "my" GOP, I get this most unwelcome solicitation from the Party of Outright Surrender:
FINANCE UPDATE
Greg-

With only 10 days left in 2015, we are critically short of our fundraising goal
[SURPRISE, SURPRISE - I WONDER WHY THE GOP IS NOT BEING SUPPORTED!]. This may not seem like a big deal, but if we do not raise enough funds, the Senate Democrats will be able to bury our candidates in negative and misleading attack ads [ACTUALLY, THE REPUBLICAN ARE DOING A GOOD JOB BURYING THEMSELVES, DON'T YOU THINK?].
Will you step up to support our conservative Republican majority? [WHY WOULD I ,OR ANYONE FOR THAT MATTER, SUPPORT YOU GUYS NOW AFTER THE BEATING YOU TOOK IN COMPLETELY SURRENDERING TO THE DEMOCRATS IN HELPING THEM TO INSURE PASSAGE OF THE OMNIBUS SPENDING BILL? THE REPUBLICANS WERE GIVEN A MANDATE TO RESIST THE OBAMA/DEMOCRAT AGENDA - YOU NOT ONLY DID NOT DO THAT, BUT YOU ENABLED IT!] Please make a secure contribution today.

Our Senate majority has gotten a lot accomplished this year
[THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD, WHO TO 'YA THINK YOUR FOOLIN'?]. From bolstering funding for our veterans to repealing Obamacare [WHAT?], the Republican Senate has been promoting the conservative reforms they promised last year [THAT IS AN OUTRIGHT LIE!. This is all in jeopardy [WHAT A JOKE!].
Will you support our conservative majority [WHERE ARE THESE SO-CALLED CONSERVATIVES? IF THEY DO EXIST THEY HAVE BEEN MISSING IN ACTION ALL YEAR!]?

If you make a contribution before the end of the year, your contribution will be triple-matched [PLEASE DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH, GUYS].

Thanks,

Senate Republicans
[RINOs - REPUBLICANS IN NAME ONLY]
Speaker Paul Ryan & GOP Don't Get the Point, Do They?
Surrender on Omnibus Bill Give Democrats Major Victory
I responded to the email I received from the Republican Party with the following:
What has the GOP accomplished for the American taxpayer? Nothing.

*  Planned Parenthood is still receiving 100% Funding
*  Obama's Executive Amnesty Stands
*  Obama's Syrian Refugee Resettlement Fully Funded
*  ObamaCare continues to be Fully Funded

With helping the passage of the Omnibus spending bill Republicans in both house of Congress accomplished a whole lot for the Democrats. Sen. Chuck Schumer said that the GOP, by agreeing with the Omnibus spending, without a real fight, has helped to advance the Democrat agenda, principles and program beyond his and the Democrat's wildest expectations!

I am very disgusted and angry with the Republican Party since you have controlled the House and Senate. You've essentially wasted the last 6 years.

Thank you Speaker Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell!

GOP Congressional Leaders Inflicted With E.D., Executive Domination

Where Did The GOP Go?

Neither was it surprising, nor was it uncharacteristic of the current Congressional Republican leadership, yet, frankly I was incensed when I saw a www.TheHill.com article on Facebook Tuesday.  That article, "McConnell: Defunding Planned Parenthood must wait for new president," indicates exactly what is wrong with majority party that cowers in Congress today.

My immediate response was to tweet the following:

Is this stupidity, ineptness, fecklessness, cowardice, ignorance or laziness? It has me just baffled. [The GOP has] 2/3s control of the government, then this! Outrageous!

Mere words cannot describe the sheer futility of the situation. However, it helps to explain the phenomenal rise in the popularity and polls of the egotistical showman and undocumented Democrat Donald Trump. Trump has tapped into the utter frustration of the people who had worked so hard to elect Republican majorities in the House and Senate in 2010 and 2014.

Cowardly Kowtowing Congress.

We had expected some fight from the GOP.  Unfortunately, there has been little push back against the Presidents poisonous Progressive agenda. In fact, it seems that Mr. Boehner, the alleged ('and soon to be contested) Speaker of the House, and Mr. McConnell, the so-called Majority "Leader" are usually found on the Democrat side of the aisle contending against the more conservative elements of their own party on most major policy issues of concern to the majority of Americans (ObamaCare, Amnesty, Education, Spending, etc).

Politico.com Photo of Two Obama Boys
Who's in Charge?

The Washington cartel of entrenched politicians and lobbyists who hold sway over them, the status quo, a tyrannical President and an out-of-bounds U.S. Supreme Court seem to be vying for power, control and are leading the (wrong)way. Everyone seems to be putting the Constitution aside and ignoring the laws of the land if it doesn't fit their political agenda despite what the people care about, not to mention trashing the well-established traditions and values that made America exceptional.

Is There a Solution?

A good dose of courage and backbone may be the recommended treatment for Executive Domination (E.D.) which plagues the party of Lincoln's leaders. If Boehner and McConnell can't or won't respond to treatment ordered, then they must step aside and allow others to do the job. Strong leadership is required to hold back the flood of disastrous plans, policies and spending of the current occupier of the White House and his accomplices in Congress and government agencies and offices.

The current GOP leadership has put party and the preservation of power solidly ahead of principle and what is good for all of America. This is why even someone like Trump has captured the imagination or pure disgust of a great block of the electorate. The GOP needs to stand like the Democrats did when they believed in the very flawed ObamaCare and even sacrificed their majority to gain this key pillar of their socialist agenda.

The GOP must resist at all costs allowing anymore federal funding for Planned Parenthood going into the new year starting in October. They need to resist the temptation to restore the Export-Import Bank. They need to resist SCOTUS' redefining of marriage. They need to resist with everything they have to thwart the Iran Nuclear Deal.

Why I No Longer Support the RNSC Candidates

Ironically, as I finished writing this blog tonight I received an email from the Republican National Senatorial Committee (RNSC), which wrote in part, "According to our records, it has been over a year since you last made an online contribution to the NRSC supporting our Republican senators." They asked me to complete the following survey, which I did:

We’ve Missed You! You’ve been a strong grassroots Republican supporter in the past, and we’ve missed hearing from you.
Share your thoughts with us below to tell our Senate Republican team what we can do to earn your support again.
1. What is the primary reason you haven’t donated to the NRSC in over a year?
___I forgot to make a donation and would like to donate now
___I only donate to campaign organizations during election years
_X_ I'm dissatisfied with the direction Republican Party
___ I don't think the NRSC is doing a good job to strengthen the majority
___The NRSC contacts me too much
2. What could the NRSC do better to receive your continued support?
Urge John Boehner and Mitch McConnell to resign their positions and find people who will follow the Republican platform faithfully, who will provide leadership, and who will stand up to and resist the current occupier of the White House. I will only contribute to and support Senate Conservative Fund candidates and directly contribute and support true conservative candidates' campaigns.

Planned ParentHOOD Wins Round One in the War in the Womb

NEVER GIVE UP!

After losing the vote on S1881, the bill defunding Planned ParentHOOD, Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) responds in this deeply thoughtful and inspirational Senate speech Monday evening, August 3, 2015.

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), True Leadership

TIME TO DITCH MITCH

Despite this temporary setback and Senator Mitch McConnell's (RINO-KY), the current GOP United States Senate Majority Leader, intransigence, lack of principled leadership and lack of enthusiasm for this extremely important issue, we must not give up. We must persist in the pursuit of ending all subsidies going to this inhumane, corrupt and evil enterprise.

END THE BARBARIC WAR IN THE WOMB

Those politicians, Democrats mostly and some Republicans, who stand by and with Planned ParentHOOD, showed by their vote last night their complicity with the barbaric and savage practices. Planned ParentHOOD, an alleged non-profit organization swilling 1/2 billion of taxpayer dollars anually, wages an on-going war on boys and girls in the wombs of women. Support for such Nazism is reprehensible.

Here's What Feckless Unprincipled Leadership Looks Like

IGNORING THE OUTRAGE

U.S. Senate Majority "Leader" Senator Mitch McConnell (RINO-KY) is ignoring the outrage of both Pro-Life and Pro-Abortion individuals around the nation, who were both concerned about the recent investigative reports about the variety of Planned ParentHOOD exposed atrocities. Or maybe he is willfully blinded to the inhumanity, the horror, the misbehavior, the wanton evil that is Planned ParentHOOD. This evening he joined with radical defenders of the indefensible, the likes of Senator Sherrod Brown (Radical Liberal-OH) and voted NO on the defunding  of Planned ParentHOOD.

The final vote was 53 YES and 46 NO. The bill needed 60 votes to pass.

OUT OF TOUCH, OR JUST TOUCHED

This vote seems to me to be just another indication that both the Senate and the House need new GOP leadership. The current GOP "leadership" is less than ineffective. They continue to drop the ball on seemingly every issue that conservatives and Republicans fought so hard for in recent elections to gain majority status. Looking purely at the results since the GOP has gained control of both houses of Congress, San Fran Nancy Pelosi and Dirty Harry Reid still are very much in charge and call all the shots, forwarding the President's destructive progressive agenda.

picture from epicgopfail twitter profile

NOTHING HAS CHANGED

We still have fully-funded and expanding ObamaCare. The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act wallows in the Senate. John Boehner dismissed the House for an much undeserved summer recess before addressing the defunding of the lawless and inhumane Planned Parenthood chamber of horrors. Same with the Senate, where McConnell apparently wanted to avoid confrontation by attaching an amendment to defund Planned Parenthood to the must-pass highway bill and allowed a nearly meaningless stand-alone bill to defund Planned ParentHOOD. This is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

The rallying cry of the GOP seems to be, "Keep the status quo at whatever it costs." The cost may be money or principle.

GOP Leadership Continues to Sit on the Sidelines and Watch the Corruption Grow

These Three Make Larry, Curly & Mo Look Good!

This is the Band of Career Politicians (Thieves?) Who Supposedly "Lead" Congress (above and below).

Monkey Business as Usual
Harry, Mitch and John

HARRY, Democrat Minority Leader covers his ears, he won't hear or acknowledge any of the misbehavior, unlawfulness or truth about and evil that Planned ParentHOOD commits;

MITCH, the GOP Senate Majority Leader covers his eyes, refusing to see any evil that Planned Parenthood does and refusing to see that the best chance to defund it was last Sunday when defunding PP could have been attached as an amendment to the Highway bill; and

crying JOHN, the current (hopefully not for long) Speaker of the House covers his mouth, he speaks nothing as far as insisting that a vote be taken to immediately declare a moratorium on all funding to the evil Planned ParentHOOD enterprise before the summer House recess. Maybe he doesn't act on defunding because the sister of his health policy director is married to the founder of StemExpress, one of the main customers of PP's baby parts business.

You can read more here about what the GOP Congressional "leaders" are doing or not doing about the atrocious acts of the biggest abortion provider in this article: "Unbelievable: Boehner, McConnell Funded Planned Parenthood."

Disturbed, Disgusted, and Disappointed with Betrayal of Mitch McConnell and John Boehner on Executive Amnesty Funding!

Words cannot express the depth of disappointment and disgust I feel toward the most recent sellout by the GOP leadership to the Republican elites and Chamber of Commerce types and the perverse "progressive" agenda of President Obama and his comrades in Congress. I really can't say I am shocked. Boehner and McConnell mouth a good line, but when push comes to show they quit, give up, acquiesce... they lie, they betray both conservative and Republican principles and the voters who elected them to office.

If the GOP will not stand against the blatant affront to the constitution and the separation of powers by this lame duck leftist President on this matter of executive overreach on amnesty, where and when will they stand?

The following news release says it all!

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Wednesday, February 25, 2015
Contact: Tom Zawistowski, 330-592-1848TomZ@PortageCountyTEAParty.com

Consequences for Republican Betrayal

Far Exceed Consequences of any DHS "Shutdown"

Mogadore, Ohio - The Portage County TEA Party Executive Director, Tom Zawistowski, made clear today that the consequences for the Republican betrayal in the Senate will far exceed the consequences of any DHS "Shutdown".  Zawistowski explained, "Senator McConnell and his ilk in the Senate need to clearly understand that the betrayal of all of their campaign promises, the betrayal of the very Oath of Office he himself swore just weeks ago to defend the Constitution, and the betrayal of the base of the Republican Party by allowing 5.5 million illegal non-citizens to acquire social security numbers and drivers licenses so that they can vote Democrat in coming elections, will result in the loss of the Senate and the White House in 2016. Their refusal to fight and win on DHS only provides further proof that they lied to the voters in 2014. Millions of Republican's and conservatives will no longer be played for fools by voting for liars and hypocrites. Romney did not win Ohio because hundreds of thousands of Ohio conservatives stayed home in 2012. Senator Rob Portman and the Republican presidential nominee can expect an even larger shunning by conservative Ohio voters in 2016. The unprincipled and cowardly actions of liberal RINO's like John McCain are an insult to any voter that calls themselves a Republican."

Zawistowski concluded by saying, "Let's also stop insulting the intelligence of Republican voters. The result of the supposed "Government Shutdown" in 2013 was a LANDSLIDE victory by Republicans in 2014. Claims to the contrary are contrived inside the beltway fiction. The result of the Senate not having the courage of a Ted Cruz on the DHS bill will be exactly the opposite, a LANDSLIDE victory for the Democrats in 2016.  The only reason the RINO's in the Senate don't want a shutdown is because it will work and they don't want it to work. The don’t want to protect American jobs. They don't care about the black Americans and legal hispanic Americans who will lose work to these illegals. They don’t want to live up to their campaign promises to voters in their states. They want illegal immigration to placate their big monied Chamber of Commerce masters and their actions prove it. We get the message, you represent them and not us. We will be sure to vote accordingly in 2016, or more precisely not vote at all."

The TEA Party is not a political party but a grassroots cultural movement.  The movement is educating American citizens about the Constitution and the uniquely American form of self-governance that has made our country so successful.  Through this education, the movement is attempting to re-define what it means to be an American citizen, by encouraging individuals to vote, to run for office and to attend government meetings in their areas so that they can participate in their self-governance.  The acronym TEA stands for Totally Engaged Americans.

Pushing a Poisonous Progressive Agenda

Winning at all Costs with Lies, Deceit, and Lawlessness

Mr. Barack Obama in cahoots with his comrades in Congress, including their compromising RINO colleagues spearheaded by Mr. Speaker, and with the mid-term election behind them, is now free to move uninhibitedly on an extremist liberal action plan for America.

Following the hollowed “success” of the Affordable Care Act, here is what has happened just since the election, here’s what the President is doing on his own along with his progressive playmates in Congress.

·         Pressing forward with an unlawful, unconstitutional executive amnesty order

·         Warming up to the Cuban dictatorship [while increasingly freezing our relationship with our best friends in the Middle East, Israel)

·         Naming of an amnesty-approving head of the Department of Justice

·         Naming a soap opera star (and major Obama donor) appointed to  an important central European ambassadorship

·         Naming of a staunch pro-ObamaCare and gun-control advocate as Surgeon General

·         Nominating  Matthew “Benghazi was a Hoax” Butler for a seat on the four-person U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC). For years, as CEO Mr. Butler led George Soros bankrolled Media Matters in their relentless quest to damage the pro-liberty movement by spreading false information about targeted organizations including True The Vote...

I will be watching, tracking, and adding to this list that assures the continual and incremental destruction of our nation. With tepid opposition expected from the bashful traitor John Boehner and his kissing cousin Mitch McConnell “led” House and Senate, respectively, all we can do is work and pray for a change in leadership or a change in heart of the current leadership. Right now it’s Washington versus America, and Washington is winning…

Closet Amnesty Supporter Rep. Eric Cantor Fired by the People of Virginia

'Cantor is Defeated! Tea Party Conservative WINS! Major Victory!'

'Eric Cantor loses Primary to Tea Party Challenger Dave Brat!!'
MASSIVE QUAKE: Eric Cantor Loses GOP Primary

Conservative Wins Major Upset Election!

         LEADER NO MORE!

The people of America and of Virginia are fed up with politicians like Eric Cantor and John Boehner and Mitch McConnell.  These top three so-called Republican leaders have demonstrated over the past 5+ years that they simply adhere to a position where politics and power are much more important than principle. Finally, finally someone sent one of the GOP leaders the message via the ballot box. Little known challenger Dave Brat soundly delivered the message to Eric Cantor tonight in the 7th Congressional District in Virginia.
Let us hope that the hitherto wayward GOP wakes up and begins to stand on the principles that got it control of the House of Representatives in 2010 and a few more good conservatives in the Senate in 2012.  The GOP elite must be shaken in their $500 boots tonight. Senator Thad Cochran we will sure be glad to see you go the way of Eric Cantor in the next few weeks, too.
This TEA party victory has encouraged and energized me. I hope all conservatives and freedom loving patriots will take this win as a cue to do more to get TRUE conservatives elected in both the House and the Senate. Throw the RINOs and other bums out!
One of the positive outcomes of this huge conservative victory is that the House Speakership may not remain in the hands of another RINO, John Boehner! This would be a positive move.  Someone like Trey Gowdy or Jim Jordan would provide the leadership that has been missing among House Republicans for a very long time.

Attention Congress - Free Offer!

This is a picture posted on twitter by  Bossy Monica (@LeMarquand).

I certainly hope that John Boehner, Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell and Nancy Pelosi see this. They should be first in line!

IStandWithWalker

No Good Choice Here

#IStandWithWalker is a key Twitter hashtag these days. It says it all. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker valiantly withstood a vicious attack from Leftist elements in Wisconsin and from across America. Union thugs, voter fraud, and the occupy movement sought to cut him down. However, he lives to govern at least another year and a half.

The battle in Wisconsin is emblematic of fights that must be fought in other state races. The fight is between a conservative philosophy and a socialist philosophy. This battle is peeking as the nation totters on the brink of financial collapse thanks to the incompetence of the leaders of both major parties. We the People spoke in Wisconsin. They must speak louder and louder across the rest of the country this fall.

We need a conservative congress to offset whichever liberal President is elected this fall. Both men are bad choices. There is no lesser of two evils. One man is openly liberal, while the other is a deceitful closet liberal hiding his liberality in order to get the nomination of his party. Unfortunately, I personally will be voting against President Obama and not necessarily for anyone.

Where the hope is is in the Congress. To elect enough conservative in order to oust the current GOP leaders, Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell should be the goal. This is where conservatives and Christians should devote all of their resources - the election of true conservative to Congress.

Few Congressional Leaders Resist Business As Usual

The U.S. Senate, unfortunately, passed the explosive Expanding-the-Debt Bill. It was beyond flawed, it embeds the status quo and mediocracy into law. Painfully, I have been following on CSpan much of the workings (or misfirings) of Congress the past 96 hours. It has been a very stress filled undertaking and in some ways, I'm looking forward to get back to work from my vacation.

Here is how my two Ohio Senators voted. Rob Portman seems to be following in the RINO ever-wavering footsteps of his predecessor George Voinovich.
.
VOTING YES TO MORE DEBT, NO TO FISCAL RESPONSIBLITY:.

· Sherrod Brown (D)
.
· Rob Portman (RINO)
Shamefully, there were 28 members of the GOP who voted “Yes” for this bill to bless the increase of the debt with no real substantive spending cuts. .
.
VOTING NO TO DEBT, YES TO FISCAL RESPONSIBLITY:

The following 19 people, for the most part see the great shortcomings of the bill and voted NO.

· Kelly Ayotte
· Saxby Chambliss
· Daniel Coats
· Tom Coburn
· Jim DeMint
· Lindsey Graham
· Charles E. Grassley
· Orrin G. Hatch
· Dean Heller
· James M. Inhofe
· Ron Johnson
· Mike Lee
· Rand Paul
· Marco Rubio
· Jeff Sessions
· Richard C. Shelby
· Patrick J. Toomey
· David Vitter

  '
Among these 19 there is a core of statesmen (and woman) leaders upon who the Tea Party Movement can build on and rely on in preparing for the next election cycle. As the actions of the House and Senate indicate this week we do need a much greater number of constitutional conservatives in Congress if we expect to see real change take place. We must rid Congress of the faux conservatives like Speaker John Boehner and Mitch McConnell who disgrace conservative principles and use the Tea Party activist gain power and then ignore them to maintain business as usual.

Is Senator Mitch McConnell Willingly Wimping Out?

Here is a press release I received minutes ago regarding U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) apparent outrageous and insane surrender on the out-of-control government spending issue and giving in and giving up on holding the line on the raising the ceiling on the debt. The release came from the Americans for Limited Government.

ALG Blasts McConnell Plan to Give President Unilateral Authority to Raise Debt Ceiling

July 12th, 2011, Fairfax, VA—Americans for Limited Government President Bill Wilson today released the following statement on a Senate Republican proposal to give the White House singular authority to raise the debt ceiling without congressional approval:

"Under the Senate Republican proposal, Congress would cede its constitutional power to borrow on the full faith and credit of the U.S. in deference to the Executive Branch. All of this, apparently, to solve a short-term political problem for Republicans seeking to avoid blame for a failure to pass an increase in the $14.294 trillion debt ceiling.

"This abdication of responsibility is puzzling to say the least. When spending is this out of control, and the only thing keeping it in check is the congressionally authorized debt ceiling, why would Congress cede its say on the nation's finances?

"If Republicans give sole power to raise the debt ceiling to Barack Obama, it will be a colossal failure of this Congress."

Seven Republican Senators Help Obama Get More Czars

The following article was in today's Red State Report.  I'll bet you never even heard about this.
Please share as you see fit.

Senate Plans to Abdicate its Confirmation Duties

The Obama Czars will trump the constitution.
Posted by Daniel Horowitz (Profile)
Tuesday, June 21st at 1:45PM EDT
In recent years, the job of United States Senator has evidently been added to the list of ‘jobs that Americans won’t do.’  Harry Reid’s Senate has categorically shirked its core constitutional responsibility by refusing to pass a budget for over two years.  Concurrently, the Senate has been preoccupied with feckless, unconstitutional legislation that fails to deal with any of the paramount public policy problems facing the nation.
Today, Chuck Schumer, with the help of Mitch McConnell and Lamar Alexander, plans to vitiate one of the Senate’s few remaining constitutional duties; advising and consenting to presidential appointees.  The Presidential Appointment Efficiency and Streamlining Act (S.679), which was never reported out of a committee, would eliminate the confirmation requirement for 200 presidential appointees.  This bill would completely abrogate the safeguards against tyranny that were established in the “Appointments Clause” of the constitution.  [The Heritage Foundation has a useful primer on the bill.]
The bill has seven Republican co-sponsors:  Lamar Alexander, Scott Brown, Susan Collins, Mike Johanns, Jon Kyl, Richard Lugar, and Mitch McConnell.
One would think that without the inconvenient burden of dealing with the budget process, the Senate would have plenty of time to execute its ‘advise and consent’ duties.  They are claiming that the confirmation process is too cumbersome and time-consuming, and as such, is precluding other more important legislation.  The reality is just the opposite.  Their abdication of their core responsibilities has left them with nothing other than executive confirmations on their plate.  Senator Marco Rubio succinctly observes the priorities of the Senate in a piece for the Daily Caller today:
Meanwhile, in the five months I have been in the Senate, Democratic leaders have focused on a reauthorization of the Federal Aviation Administration, a patent bill, a bill to increase spending on the Small Business Administration and a plan to increase spending on the Economic Development Administration, a relic of the Great Society that funnels debt-financed cash to states and localities (never mind that the president’s own Fiscal Commission recommended eliminating it entirely).
The Senate has taken just 91 roll call votes, many on non-controversial nominations, and a third of our time has been spent in “quorum calls,” literally doing nothing. No one should be under any illusion about the desire of leaders in the Senate to confront our sagging economy and looming debt crisis.
Now, they have the moxie to complain that the confirmation process is distracting them from more important legislation!
Undoubtedly, there is a need to expedite the presidential appointee process.  However, ceding more power to an administration that is overzealous to impose policy by administrative fiat, is not the way to go.  Congress has slowly abjured its power to the executive branch by writing open-ended legislation, granting federal agencies wide latitude to promulgate destruction over our economy.  Obama has already used radical executive appointees for the purpose of consolidating power in the executive branch.  Why would any Republican sign on to such a dangerous expansion of executive power?  Whom do they think Obama will appoint to these positions if there is no oversight?
Here’s a novel idea for streamlining the confirmation process of presidential appointees: shrink the size of government so there will be no need for most of these jobs.  It’s high time for Congress to halt its self-immolation, and reign in the executive department behemoth.
The Senate is scheduled to hold the first cloture vote on S.679 later this evening or on Wednesday, following the expected failure on passage of the inane Economic Development Revitalization Act.  Call your senators and ask them if they plan to outsource their jobs to Obama.  Tell them to keep the presidential appointment process in the hands of the elected branch of government and vote no on S.679.
