The Decade of Division in Parody (2010-2019)

The past ten years have been an event-filled decade, hasn't it? The following are ten parodies that I have selected that represent the just completed decade. Click on the links to watch the parodies. If you can't watch them all, I would recommend #1, #8 and #10, the start, the middle and the end of this turbulent decade.

1. The Tea Party Movement topped the decade in response to the ballooning National Debt and government-expanding Obamacare. The GOP took back the House as a result. But they proved they were impotent and feckless.

2. Global warming was all the rage fueled by conjured up statistics and empty rhetoric off and on during the decade ending with the New Green Deal going nowhere.
GLOBAL WARMING

3. Barack Obama, the mega corporations and some in both parties looked the other way when illegal aliens flooded into the country. Both the illegal aliens and our government under Obama ignored immigration laws. That is until Mr. Trump trumpeted a new song, #BuildTheWall.
ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION

4. Illegals, dead people, and voters who voted more than once swelled the Democrat vote totals. The Democratic Party fought any attempt to require voter identification, which made it easy for voter fraud to increase.

5. Same-sex “marriage” was blessed by the not so Supreme Court in another of their judicial activism, their unjust, unconstitutional tyrannical  rulings. That ruling fit with the Leftist agenda and gave Mr. Obama a major plank of his plan to fundamentally change America (into a Marxist state).

6. The Democrats and Mr. Obama did everything they could to insure that government healthcare would happen. Lies and manipulation was justified to achieve the desired results.

If You Like Your Plan https://youtu.be/Fawv4vt5ZPI

7.  Was Hillary Clinton going to complete the fundamental transformation (destruction) that Mr. Obama started?  Was she going to serve as Obama 3.0? The entire Left thought so. But they ran into a big roadblock, We the People and a bigger than life personality.

8. Probably what characterized the decade most was the successful sabotage of our colleges and universities by the Marxist elite. Through their tireless efforts they created generations of young people indoctrinated in Secular-Humanist religion and Marxist philosophy. We were graduating useful idiots. Feminism ruled the day. Masculinity was no longer in play.
SNOWFLAKES

9. For three years, ever since her election loss, Mrs. Clinton has been blaming others incessantly for the unexpected outcome.
HILLARY CLINTON

10. The Democrats and their allies the #FakeNews media, academia, the Washington Swamp, Hollywood, Corporate America, #NeverTrumpers, Liberal Churches have been working to reverse the election results. They have been collectively doing all they could to subvert everything Mr. Trump has attempted to do to Make America Great Again (MAGA). They refuse to give him credit for anything.

The Mueller Investigation was a nothing burger as the decade comes to a close, we are smack dab in the middle of a completely partisan political impeachment process. The Marxist influencers have succeeding in dividing this nation. We seem to be on the brink of civil war or at least civil unrest. That is just what they are fomenting. God help us if we ever get another Democrat (Marxist) president. Venezuela, here we come.

The Next Decade, Revision & Vision (2020-2029)

What does the new decade hold? Hope and change of the right kind. A nation that wakes up, a Justice Department that indicts those who attempted to overthrow this president and whose crimes and misdeeds have been covered up. Maybe some of the corruption will be finally exposed.

We the People need Mr. Trump to remain in office to really finish the draining of the Swamp, to strengthen our military, to create an environment that fosters a return to the ideals of our Founding Fathers, including a respect for human life, traditional marriage, shrinking of the federal government, restoration of a federal judiciary that honors not destroys the U.S. Constitution to name a few of the ideals.

Why America Won, Why the Left Lost

Hat tip goes to Glenda Madaris Czaplinski who shared this Carrie Miller post on Facebook today. It explains why Donald Trump won the Election. It was basically a reaction of a large swath of Americans fed up with both major parties, but especially the Democrat Party …

"Dear Democrats and Liberals:

I'm noticing that a lot of you aren't graciously accepting the fact that your candidate lost. In fact you seem to be posting even more hateful things about those of us who voted for Trump.

Some of you are apparently "triggered". Because you are posting how "sick" you feel about the results.

How did this happen you ask.

You created "us" when you attacked our freedom of speech.

You created "us" when you attacked our right to bear arms.

You created "us" when you attacked our Christian beliefs.

You created "us" when you constantly referred to us as racists.

You created "us" when you constantly called us xenophobic.

You created "us" when you told us to get on board or get out of the way.

You created "us" when you forced us to buy health care and then financially penalized us for not participating.

You created "us" when you allowed our jobs to continue to leave our country.

You created "us" when you attacked our flag.

You created "us" when you confused women's rights with feminism.

You created "us" when you began to emasculate men.

You created "us" when you decided to make our children soft.

You created "us" when you decided to vote for progressive ideals.

You created "us" when you attacked our way of life.

You created "us" when you decided to let our government get out of control.

"You" created "us" the silent majority. And we became fed up and we pushed back and spoke up.

And we did it with ballots, not bullets."

Don Feder's Ten Pillars of True Patriotism

This the second article that received from GrassTopsUSA, which I chose to reprint. It is a great outline of the important components of Patriotism. I highlight the ten foundational tenets of patriotism according to Bob Feder. The emphasis is mine. These are key elements to the Conservative and TEA Party Movements.

The one thing I see missing from this list, which could easily be included under either "God" or "the Constitution" pillars, is the Right to Life. Abortion is immoral, an affront to any civilized society. It is tantamount to what the ancient pagan Inca people did in sacrificing their children on alters to their gods.

Therefore, I would either elaborate under one or both of the first two pillars the right to life of both the born and the unborn. All of our God-given rights stem this basic right to exist.

TEN PILLARS OF PATRIOTISM
April 3, 2014
By Don Feder

Language-corruption is endemic. Sodomy is an "alternative life style," jihad-murder is "workplace-related violence" and Catholic institutions not providing contraception through their health insurance are part of a "war on women."

Even patriotism doesn't mean what it once did. A patriot used to be Nathan Hale, Andrew Jackson, Sergeant York and Audie Murphy. Now we're told that it's patriotic to support whatever foreign policy idiocy an anti-American administration dreams up.

According to the most recent Pew Research Center survey, 52% completely agree with the statement: "I am very patriotic." Another 36% "mostly agree." But what does this mean? Delving a bit deeper, 69% say they're "very likely" to sing the National Anthem, 59% to display the American flag on their home or car and 53% to attend a public celebration of the 4th of July.

But will America be saved by watching a parade pass by, singing the first verse of the National Anthem off-key or attaching a miniature flag on a car antenna? This is patriotism lite.

There's something called the True Patriot Network which claims patriotism includes class envy ("The wealthy have rigged the game in Washington, so that we pay the rich to get richer"). Karl Marx, true patriot? One of the Network's founder's, Eric Liu (a White House speechwriter for Bill Clinton) is involved with an anti-gun initiative in Washington state. Think of what men with illegal firearms can do – like Lexington and Concord.

What does patriotism really mean? If you say you love America, what are you going to do about it?

Offered for your consideration, 10 Pillars of Patriotism – what the authentic patriot must support to reverse the process of national decline.

       1.  God We are one nation under God, if we are anything at all. America is no accident. We could not have gone from 13 colonies clinging to the Atlantic coast to the preeminent world power in less than 230 years without the guiding hand of Providence. Rights come from God, not government. ("…endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.")

The Bible tells us that if a people turn their back on God, He will turn His face from them. During the darkest days of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln charged: "We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own." George Washington observed : "Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens."

A reporter once asked Lincoln if God was on the side of the Union. Our 16th president replied that he had it backward; the question was: Were we on His side. We should strive toward that end.

       2.  The Constitution The federal government is constrained, and rights guaranteed, by the Constitution, as it was written by the Founding Fathers and later amended, and not as interpreted by activist judges or nullified by a presidential pen.

The United States Constitution is the best instrument yet devised to protect human rights, prevent abuses of power and ensure orderly government. If the Declaration of Independence is America's birth certificate, the Constitution is its operating manual.

Elitists hate the fact that the Constitution is impartial – not favoring one group over another – and is concerned primarily with restraining government rather than ordering the affairs of citizens. That's why they're forever telling us that our Constitution is outmoded.

       3.  The Free Market The free market is as American as representative government. It has brought unparalleled prosperity to this nation and opportunity to its citizens. Supply and demand are the best way to allocate resources. The alternative is ideological rigidity or bureaucratic whim.

Private property and free enterprise are also bulwarks against tyranny. As the market has become less free, the liberty of the American people has been diminished. Those who get caught up in envy against the successful miss the point. It's not about what any one of us earns relative to anyone else. The genius of the market is that it allows each of us to reach our potential.

Planned economy versus free economy is the difference between North and South Korea, East and West Germany (before reunification), Cuba and Costa Rica, and the U.S. economy under Reagan and Obama.

       4.  Limited Government America was founded on the idea of limited government, that the state must be confined to certain clearly defined functions. The choice is limited government or government de luxe.

The idea that Washington can force us to buy anything, such as health insurance, is repugnant to the system of government established by the Founders.

Taxes should be limited to paying for the constitutional functions of government. As the welfare state takes more and more of our income (through taxation, regulation and inflation), it robs us of our time, our labor, and ultimately our lives – turning citizens into subjects.

       5.  Fiscal Responsibility A government that consistently lives beyond its means has a short shelf-life. A people that refuse to restrain their appetites is doomed to extinction. The National Debt is the single greatest threat to our nation's prosperity and stability. Interest on the debt consumes an ever greater portion of the federal budget, crowds out business borrowing and diminishes the value of income and savings through inflation.

       Deficit spending is generational theft.

       6.   American Exceptionalism For going on three centuries, America has been the greatest force for good in the world. We gave other nations a model of representative government to follow. Our factories and workshops provided the products and inventions that ushered in the modern age. By dint of our sacrifice, in the 20th. century we twice saved humanity from totalitarian nightmares.

A denial of American exceptionalism is based on ignorance, indoctrination, malice or membership in the Democratic Party.

       7.   Sovereignty With ratification of the Constitution, the American people agreed to be governed by a system of divided authority and balanced powers. Ceding power to the United Nations, NATO or any other international body is a surrender of sovereignty.

A nation that won't defend its borders has also abandoned its sovereignty. Immigration policy must be decided by the American people based on the national interest – not by elites and ethnic lobbies, based on political expediency, a misguided altruism or multicultural fantasies.

       8.  English English is America's language. Along with our common ideals, it's the glue that holds together a diverse people. From the Mayflower Compact to the latest Congressional debates, America's story has been told in English. In the words of Theodore Roosevelt: "We have room for but one flag, the American flag… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language…."

With English, we were able to take in tens of millions of immigrants in the past century and a half and successfully integrate them into our way of life, so that their children and grandchildren were as Americans as those whose ancestors came over on the Mayflower.

As we move from being an English-speaking people to a polyglot nation, we become fragmented along ethnic and racial lines. If it continues, the fate of the Austro-Hungarian Empire could be ours. Look at how well bilingualism works in Canada – where the majority is resentful and a separatist minority always wants more. After "press one for English," it should be "press two for national suicide."

       9.  National Security Defending America is a sacred trust. We live in a world of predators – terrorists and barbarians with weapons of mass destruction. Liberty is guarded by men with guns who walk the ramparts.

Liberals have consistently robbed the defense budget to pay for welfare schemes and buy votes, trusting in "multilateralism" and international agencies for our security. In reality, guns trump fantasies every time. Thanks to Obama and his allies, our armed forces are now smaller than before Pearl Harbor – another of which we could be headed for.

Today, our foreign and defense policies are determined by those who have no faith in America and want to see the Republic too weak to act on its own.

       10. The Family Families keep America strong. The family is the cradle of civilization and incubator of civic virtue. Fatherless families are more of a threat to our long-term survival than international terrorism or rogue states.

Anything that undercuts the family weakens America. Divorce, cohabitation, voluntary childlessness and deconstructing the family by bestowing the designation on diverse living arrangements are an attempt to turn the family into a free-form institution and ultimately make it obsolete. Men fight to protect their families, not to advance abstractions. A society made up of atomized individuals is ripe for conquest.

More than displaying the flag or singing the first verse of the Star-Spangled Banner (ersatz patriotism), the authentic patriot understands his country's history, appreciates its uniqueness and is committed to its defense by supporting the forces of unity and fighting those of disintegration.

The patriot is far-sighted. Like the Founding Fathers as they prepared to put pen to paper, the true patriot is instilled with a sense of destiny. Patriotism is a pledge to the past and a promise to the future.

Ronald Reagan spoke of "a rendezvous with destiny." Our greatest president of the 20th century said in his historic 1964 speech: "We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done."

       Have we?

Support the 'Prioritize Spending Act of 2013' (H.R. 149)

Both H.R. 149, introduced earlier this month in the House of Representative by Representative Daniel Webster of Florida, and a similar bill introduced in the U.S. Senate by Senator Pat Toomey, are a good first step in the upcoming and newest "DEBT CEILING CRISIS" battle. This idea of prioritizing key government expenditures will force the current regime in Washington to deal once and for all with its long-term, grievious, uncontrolled addiction to spending beyond its means.

Every effort should be made in both the House and Senate to pass this bill. In the likely event that the debt ceiling is not approved at the last minute again, this bill clearly outlines what items should be paid with the funds that come in each month.

Here is a letter I recently wrote to my representative in support of this legislation:

Re: H.R. 149: To specify the priority of the obligations of the United States Government if the debt ceiling is reached.

Dear Representative:

I strongly support Rep. Daniel Webster's bill, H.R. 149, because I do not to see America in the position of having to accept more debt, increasing the Debt Ceiling, without any reductions or curbing of the current spending. I would rather see the government shut down after these priorities are taken care of each month:

(1) Payments of interest owed to creditors

(2) Social Security Payments to Seniors

(3) Payments to Active Military Personnel

Further priorities of remaining funds should be a joint effort of Congress and the President...

We must start to live within our means. The President and Congress REFUSE to address the problem of OVERSPENDING, so something drastic must be done - like saying NO to increasing the debt ceiling without SUBSTANTIAL, CONCURRENT reductions in 2013 SPENDING not the PROMISE of spending reductions on Tuesday, the first week in January in 2023, the next decade!

In addition we must move away from base line budgeting and implement a real across-the-board spending reduction plan such as the Mack Penny Plan, where spending is reduced by 1% each year until the budget is balanced.

We demand that Congress submit and approve a budget before any debt ceiling is even considered!

The Fiscal Cliff in Terms of a Family Budget

Hat tip goes to David Limbaugh and Ken Gardner @kesgardner who tweeted the following picture, which is a clear depiction of the fiscal situation existing in America today under President Barack Obama.

What household could sustain such irresponsible management of its finances? Then why do we accept such mismanagement by our government?

The simple solution is to cut spending, stop borrowing, and live within our means. For nearly four years the U.S. Senate has refused to submit a budget. They do not want to make the tough decisions that are necessary to balance revenues and expenses, like any credible organization or individual household must.

The President and both political parties in  Congress lack the courage to deal with the problem. They continue to postpone the actions and steps necessary to deal with the problem and avoiding any repercussions that may result from those decisions. They want to maintain their cushy jobs, power, and prestige.

What Obama Should be Reading on the Beach!

The Wall Street Journal had an online article, "Obama's Beach Reading," today. Apparently Dear Leader is reading an eclectic assortment of books he picked up at the "Grapes of Wrath" bookstore there on highfalutin Martha's Vineyard.

My suggestion is that he'd put aside the other tomes and pick up one book, besides the Bible, that might truly enlighten him on a subject he has demonstrated he knows absolutely nothing about:

Is Black Monday on the Horizon?

Hat tip to Anthony Martin, for his article, “Ahead--BlackMonday, 2011?" In the Conservative Examiner.

Barack Obama, John Boehner, Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell, and Nancy Pelosi you own the debt downgrade debacle. Now you must wear it. Now you must fix it without more taxes ... You are all Beltway Addicts addicted to SPENDING. You need a major intervention. One such intervention will be the elections in May and November 2012. You are warned ...

Furthermore, this Deficit and Debt is not a Lack-of-Tax problem it is an OVER-SPENDING problem. You spend money you do not have. You are spending on things that we do not need. You continue to borrow beyond our means.

Budget 101:

If we have 2.4 T in Income

if we spend 3.8 T

Then we have a Deficit or Shortfall of 1.4 T

What about this picture do you Mr. President, John Boehner, Harry Reid and the rest of Congress not understand? Simply, our expenditures should be limited by our income. Respectfully, I ask are you all smarter than a fifth grader? I sure doesn't seem like you are based on your actions ...

Please Sign "The One Cent Solution" Petition

One of the more meaningful and sensible and practical approaches to limiting the debt, which is even better than the Cut, Cap and Balance Plan rejected without discussion or consideration by Harry Reid's Democrat controlled Senate is Representative Connie Mack's Penny Plan. In the Senate Sen. Rand Paul and others have sponsored the bill in the Senate. It is too simple straightforward and meaningful for the establishment to deal with apparently. They chose the worthless, meaningless and pitiful Obama-Boehner-Reid-Mitchell Debt Increase Bill instead.

The Once Cent Solution

We are calling on Congress to adopt the One Percent Spending Reduction Act of 2011 (H.R. 1848/S. 1316) and reduce overall federal spending by 1% per year — one cent for every dollar it spends — for the next six years. By enacting this legislation, Congress can:
  • Balance the budget by 2019
  • Reduce federal spending by $7.5 trillion over 10 years
  • Reduce the debt by $3.4 trillion over 10 years
You can sign this petition and learn more about it here.

Few Congressional Leaders Resist Business As Usual

The U.S. Senate, unfortunately, passed the explosive Expanding-the-Debt Bill. It was beyond flawed, it embeds the status quo and mediocracy into law. Painfully, I have been following on CSpan much of the workings (or misfirings) of Congress the past 96 hours. It has been a very stress filled undertaking and in some ways, I'm looking forward to get back to work from my vacation.

Here is how my two Ohio Senators voted. Rob Portman seems to be following in the RINO ever-wavering footsteps of his predecessor George Voinovich.
.
VOTING YES TO MORE DEBT, NO TO FISCAL RESPONSIBLITY:.

· Sherrod Brown (D)
.
· Rob Portman (RINO)
Shamefully, there were 28 members of the GOP who voted “Yes” for this bill to bless the increase of the debt with no real substantive spending cuts. .
.
VOTING NO TO DEBT, YES TO FISCAL RESPONSIBLITY:

The following 19 people, for the most part see the great shortcomings of the bill and voted NO.

· Kelly Ayotte
· Saxby Chambliss
· Daniel Coats
· Tom Coburn
· Jim DeMint
· Lindsey Graham
· Charles E. Grassley
· Orrin G. Hatch
· Dean Heller
· James M. Inhofe
· Ron Johnson
· Mike Lee
· Rand Paul
· Marco Rubio
· Jeff Sessions
· Richard C. Shelby
· Patrick J. Toomey
· David Vitter

  '
Among these 19 there is a core of statesmen (and woman) leaders upon who the Tea Party Movement can build on and rely on in preparing for the next election cycle. As the actions of the House and Senate indicate this week we do need a much greater number of constitutional conservatives in Congress if we expect to see real change take place. We must rid Congress of the faux conservatives like Speaker John Boehner and Mitch McConnell who disgrace conservative principles and use the Tea Party activist gain power and then ignore them to maintain business as usual.

Rand Paul: Why I Oppose the Debt Ceiling Compromise

Hat tip goes to Rush Limbaugh who quoted from Senator Rand Paul’s open letter on Rush’s show this afternoon. Here is the Senator Rand’s letter regarding the just passed Obama-Boehner-Reid debt ceiling increase bill..

Aug 1, 2011

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today Sen. Rand Paul issued an open letter on the subject of the debt ceiling compromise facing the Senate. Below is that letter.

To paraphrase Senator Jim DeMint: When you're speeding toward the edge of a cliff, you don't set the cruise control. You stop the car. The current deal to raise the debt ceiling doesn't stop us from going over the fiscal cliff. At best, it slows us from going over it at 80 mph to going over it at 60 mph.

This plan never balances. The President called for a "balanced approach." But the American people are calling for a balanced budget.

This deal does nothing to fix the overreaches of both parties over the past few years: Obamacare, TARP, trillion-dollar wars, runaway entitlement spending. They are all cemented into place with this deal, and their legacy will be trillions of dollars in new debt.

The deal that is pending before us now:

§  Adds at least $7 trillion to our debt over the next 10 years. The deal purports to "cut" $2.1 trillion, but the "cut" is from a baseline that adds $10 trillion to the debt. This deal, even if all targets are met and the Super Committee wields its mandate - results in a BEST case scenario of still adding more than $7 trillion more in debt over the next 10 years. That is sickening.
§  Never, ever balances.
§  The Super Committee's mandate is to add $7 trillion in new debt. Let's be clear: $2.1 trillion in reductions off a nearly $10 trillion,10-year debt is still more than $7 trillion in debt. The Super Committee limits the constitutional check of the filibuster by expediting passage of bills with a simple majority. The Super Committee is not precluded from any issue, therefore the filibuster could be rendered moot. In addition, the plan harms the possible passage of a Balanced Budget Amendment. Since the goal is never to balance, having the BBA as a "trigger" ensures that the committee will simply report its $1.2 trillion deficit reduction plan and never move to a BBA vote.
§  It cuts too slowly. Even if you believe cutting $2.1 trillion out of $10 trillion is a good compromise, surely we can start cutting quickly, say $200 billion-$300 billion per year, right? Wrong. This plan so badly backloads the alleged savings that the cuts are simply meaningless. Why do we believe that the goal of $2.5 trillion over 10 years (that's an average of $250 billion per year) will EVER be met if the first two years cuts are $20 billion and $50 billion. There is simply no path in this bill even to the meager savings they are alleging will take place.
Buried in the details of this bill is the automatic debt limit increase proposed a few weeks ago. The second installment of the debt ceiling increase is initiated by the President automatically and can only be stopped by a two-thirds vote of Congress. This shifts the Constitutional check on borrowing from Congress to the President and makes it easier to raise the debt ceiling. Despite claims to the contrary, none of the triggers in this bill include withholding the second limit increase.

Credit rating agencies have clearly stated the type of so-called cuts envisioned in this plan will result in our AAA bond rating being downgraded. Ironically then, the only way to avoid our debt being downgraded and the resulting economic problems that stem from that is for this bill to fail.

This plan does not solve our problem. Not even close. I cannot abide the destruction of our economy, therefore I vigorously oppose this deal and I urge my colleagues and the American people to do the same.

Sincerely,

Rand Paul, M.D.
United States Senator

A song about the national debt, "You are gonna pay"

Hat tip goes to @ReasonMag, which posted a link to the YouTube video below in a recent tweet.
