OK House Oks Bill Ending State Marriage Licenses!

I found this article on the Daily Paul Liberty Forum...

“The point of my legislation is to take the state out of the process and leave marriage in the hands of the clergy,” said state Rep. Todd Russ, R-Cordell, the bill’s House author. “Marriage was historically a religious covenant first and a government-recognized contract second. Under my bill, the state is not allowing or disallowing same-sex marriage. It is simply leaving it up to the clergy.”

Uh oh... there's controversy...

"The executive director of Freedom Oklahoma, which advocates in behalf of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals, criticized House passage of the measure."
I hope the OK Senate passes it. Get the State out of marriage! Would love to see SCOTUS try to abrogate the First Amendment. They'd be in for the fight of their life.

I don't know if there is any truth to this video, alleging a government conspiracy to destroy the Federal Building in Oklahoma in 1995.  But it wouldn't surprise me if it was true.  

No Sharia or International Law Here in America!

I updated my post-election article, "Election 2010: Losers, Winners, & What Now?" I added Oklahoma to the list of winners.

Oklahoma.Oklahomans had a ballot issue banning any form of Sharia Law or International Law being recognized in their state. It passed with 70% of the vote!. Thank you, Oklahoma! That ballot should be replicated across America. This is not Islamofascism, it Americanism!
