Abortionist George “Killer” Tiller, Killed

I have followed the various legal actions trying to nail Dr. George “Killer” Tiller the past several years posting numerous articles. WorldNetDaily.com reported today that the infamous and murderous late-term abortionist, who was up to his eyeballs in legal battles over his unethical, possibly illegal abortion practices, was gunned down this morning, ironically, as he walked into his church in Wichita, Kansas. We condemn this horrible act, just as we condemn the horrors committed by this so-called licensed ‘healer.”

But the question lingers in my mind. How can any true Christian church accept and retain, as a member of their congregation, someone who was so heinous in his behavior as Tiller? For that matter, how can any Christ-follower have voted for Barry Soetoro, alias Barack Obama, last November?

In an online story, the Wichita (Kansas) Eagle newspaper quoted Operation Rescue, a pro-life advocacy organization, in a statement found on its website. “We are shocked at this morning's disturbing news that Mr. Tiller was gunned down." "Operation Rescue has worked for years through peaceful, legal means, and through the proper channels to see him brought to justice. We denounce vigilantism and the cowardly act that took place this morning. We pray for Mr. Tiller's family that they will find comfort and healing that can only be found in Jesus Christ."

“Killer” Tiller was very close to alleged President Barry Soetoro a/k/a Barack Obama’s recently approved Secretary of Health and Human Services appointee, Kathleen Sebelius. She received significant contributions from Tiller’s blood-stained money. In turn, she did all she could to influence laws and decisions related to protecting her friend and his loathsome abortion practice.

Again, I condemn the violence against Tiller, however, I also condemn the violence he perpetrated against all the babies and women that he murdered and wounded.

Abortionist Tiller’s “Technical” Trial Ends

I have been following the attempts to nail the abortionist, George Tiller, for his unethical practices related to his late term abortion business. Phill Kline had investigated him when Kline was Kansas Attorney General. The big guns went after Kline and he was defeated when he ran for re-election, a big part of the reason for his defeat was his tenacity in going after this thug. The abortion industry and its vast financial support for his opponent helped to defeat him. Kline was subsequently elected to a County Prosecutor office where he continued to pursue justice in the Tiller matter. He was met with resistance at every step. Again, Kline was a big target of the abortion-loving left in Kansas and America. See my previous articles for additional background on this case.


FIRST THE BAD NEWS

Unfortunately for a multitude of yet to be born babies, George “Killer” Tiller, the infamous late-term abortionist in Topeka, KS was acquitted in the trial that began on Monday and lasted all week. Tiller is one of three major late-term abortionists in the country.

Tiller has friends in very high places, such as the current nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services, the extreme pro-death Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius. Sebelius is a very strong supporter Tiller and the whole abortion agenda, as well as a prime political beneficiary of Tiller’s baby bloodstained campaign contributions.

According to an online ChristianPost.com article, “Tiller was on trial this week for having an improper financial relationship with a doctor, Kristin Neuhaus, who provided a second opinion in the 19 late-term abortions performed in 2003.” With the help of activist judges, corrupt prosecutors, and powerful people like Governor Sebelius going to bat for Tiller, more serious charges were dropped earlier.

The law in Kansas requires that two physicians sign-off as to the validity of a late-term abortion. The second physician must be independent. Essential Tiller’s trial was more about the technicality of contract or business law, than it was about the horrific practice of late-term abortions and its associated evils.

I heard Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition in Washington D.C., telling Janet Porter, on her Faith2Action Radio Show, that Tiller may have spent $1.5 -2 million on his nightmarish team of lawyers and jury consultants in a very vigorous defense. Interestingly Tiller’s team had to have 2 tables set up in the courtroom to accommodate all his hired help, while the state had only one table.

NOW THE GOOD NEWS

Rev. Mahoney also related on the Faith2Action Radio Show on Monday that within one hour after the trial was over and the verdict of 'not guilty' was announced something positive happened. The Kansas Board of Healing Arts, the entity that licenses physicians took the first step toward removing Tiller’s medical license. An investigation of Tiller was opened up in December of 2008. This fact was not known by anyone except Tiller. Mahoney said that his organization has its own investigation under way.

There are 11 charges pending against Tiller with the Board of Healing Arts. They have said that Tiller has acted in an improper and unethical way. They are in the process of investigating this right now.

ChristianPost.com article cited above pointed out that:

"Despite the acquittal, the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts released a statement saying it plans to move forward with a disciplinary petition the board filed against Tiller last December.

“The petition includes 11 allegations, including performing an abortion on a fetus that was viable without having a documented referral from another physician not legally or financially affiliated with him; unprofessional or dishonorable conduct or professional incompetency; and commitment of acts likely to deceive, defraud or harm the public.

If the Board votes that Tiller has violated the code of conduct he may lose his license. In the case of the Board and its process of investigating and ruling on Tiller, it will not be subject to a jury trial. Tiller’s money will be of much less influence, if any, with this body.

The Board may rule on Tiller within two months.

CONCLUSION

Just as George Tiller basked in is big-bucks bought legal victory, he received news that the Board of Healing Arts made public its investigation of him and his alleged unprofessional and unethical practices. One pro-life advocate said despite this loss in the courtroom, he will continue to work and to pray for Tiller’s conversion and his conviction.

On November 27, 2008 Charlie Butts filed a report on OneNewsNow concerning the infamous late-term abortionist Dr. George Tiller. He reported that preliminary hearings started in Wichita, Kansas, for the trial “Baby Killer” Tiller.

The OneNewsNow story relates, “LifeNews.com reports the final portion of Tiller's hearing will feature an abortion he allegedly performed on a 10-year-old girl and subsequently withheld information about her statutory rape from the authorities. So far, Troy Newman, president of Operation Rescue, says attorneys have been challenging witnesses and trying to discredit them.

“"There's no focus on the actual charges levied against Mr. Tiller, which are performing illegal late-term abortions," he contends. "But in fact he's trying to impeach the good character of the attorney general Phil Kline and his investigators, and even the fact that Operation Rescue contributed to this investigation."

“Newman says the hearings will resume in early January. "I do expect to have some sort of resolution on Mr. Tiller's motions some time before trial, which begins in March," he adds.

“Operation Rescue's sidewalk counseling at Tiller's abortion clinic, according to Newman, has had a significant influence. "We began to suppress his abortion business," he notes. "It's actually down 54 percent in the last six years."

Referring to the OneNewsNow article quoted above, Debra Moore wrote (George Tiller the Baby Killer) on November 28, 2008 in the ExposingLiberalLies blog, “For months now, I have written about President-elect Barack Obama’s votes supporting infanticide and about how only a monster could vote to neglect infants in need of medical attention as he did. Well, I’ve found another man who also has the characteristics of a monster; in fact, his actions are even more horrific than those of our next president. Who is this villain of whom I speak? It is “George Tiller the Baby Killer“, as he has been nicknamed.

“The Wichita, Kansas abortionist is known for performing late-term abortions, often using “the depression” of the mother to justify the abortion. He has been charged with 19 counts of performing illegal late-term abortions. This poor excuse for a doctor needs to be brought to justice for his horrifying actions all for the sake of greed.”

Moore adds, “Another factor of importance in this case is that Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius is using her power to aid Tiller in his murdering of unborn babies. The political career of such an evil woman needs to be brought to a halt and soon. She was a contender for vice-president; but, thankfully she was not chosen, though she and Obama have much in common in their radical support for abortion."

Kansas Judge Holds Abortion Law to be Constitutional

Hear Their Cry

(Wichita, Kansas) According to an Associated Press news story I found on the www.KNST.com website, “A Sedgwick County judge ruled Monday that the Kansas abortion statute is constitutional and denied a defense motion to dismiss the criminal case against Dr. George Tiller.” Tiller, known as “Tiller-the-Killer” because of his infamous practice of doing late term abortions must face 10 misdemeanor charges which could lead to as many as 19 years in prison.

The battle is fierce there in Kansas. With this victory comes losses in the form of the defeat of Phill Kline and Jim Ryan both strong pro-life social conservatives. Mr. Kline was one of the chief pursuers of justice in the case against Tiller. He was first the Attorney General of Kansas, then he was the county prosecutor. A moderate (read that RINO) defeated him in the August 5th primary election. A moderate also decidedly thrashed former Congressman Jim Ryan. Great money and effort was expended by the left to keep these men from office. Liberals gleefully see this as the death knell for the social conservative movement in Kansas and everywhere. I surely hope that it is not.

For one, Operation Rescue (OR) president, Troy Newman said in a LifeSiteNews.com article, “Pro-life advocates are winning the culture war and Kline's defeat (although a setback) should be seen in light of the forward progress the pro-life movement is making against the abortion industry. One victory was last week's ruling by a Kansas judge that infamous late-term abortionist George Tiller would have to face 19 criminal charges filed against him for illegal abortions, carrying the possibility of 19 years in jail if convicted."

Newman continued, “. . . Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers are breaking the law flagrantly and we are going to be here until this battle ends and that will be noticed by the fact that no more children are dying."

Justice must prevail in ’08. The elections this fall may be just what is needed to advance the cause of life and liberty.
