Dennis 'Yes,' Anh 'No' to ObamaCare

Yesterday, it was Democrat Dennis Kucinich who revealed that he will be changing his previous vote on the Health Care Reform (HCR) bill from “No” to today saying he’ll vote “Yes” on HCR Sunday. Speculation has it that Congressman Kucinich changed his mind apparently after he got to ride on Air Force One. Meanwhile the rest of the nation is being taken on another type of royal ride, straight to oblivion!

Today, it was Anh Cao, Republican U.S. Congressman from Louisiana, who was the only GOP member who voted “yes” for HCR last year, but says he will now above it because of its extensive abortion funding. Here is an excerpt from an article, “Republican Cao Opposes Pro-Abortion Health Care Bill, While Wilson Wavers,” posted at www.LifeNews.com today.

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) -- Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao was the lone Republican to support the House health care bill but he was listed as a firm no on the Senate measure because of its massive abortion funding. President Barack Obama hoped to twist his arm, but he says he will oppose the bill.

Really, these two votes offset each other. Kucinich will get more press for his switch than will Cao. Why? Because the opposition media (ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, New York Times, PBS, etc.) is in the pocket of the Democratic-lead government. However, it does seem that the Republicans will be standing united in opposition to the bill, a bill which is a shill for bringing about government-run healthcare.

You know it will be a very close vote. If the big-government, socialistic legislation passes on Sunday, things do not look good for the future of America. Another piece of the secular, socialist state will be put in place. Education in the government-run schools is nearly all dominated by an ungodly, atheistic, secular-humanistic philosophy and curriculum. Amnesty for illegals will follow shortly. Then all we have to do is yield the rest of this nation’s sovereignty to the United Nations via treaties etc. and the nation of Washington, Jefferson and Reagan will become a second rate European Socialist Utopia like France or Belgium.

So, tell me again, what is it about (Soetoro, alias) Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He did all this, and more, in his first year as president -- so you'll have three years to come up with an answer.

The media, for the most part, serves as an accomplice to the cover-up of the President's miscues and misguided policies. There was no vetting of this man to the degree that the investigated Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

Look who is endorsing Adam Andrzjewki for Illinois governor!

Andrew Marcus of foundingbloggers.com narrated the excellent YouTube video above. The video dramatically shows another blatant example of cold, calculated media manipulation and bias. This time the local Chicago area media deliberately failed to cover a significant endorsement of an American politician, Illinois Gubernatorial candidate Adam Andrzjewski, by a world renowned fighter for liberty. Lech Walesa, the Polish union leader who lead the Solidarity Movement in Poland against the Soviet Union, made this stunning endorsement of Andrzjewski. .

Marcus says of Walesa in the video, “His (Walesa) actions against Soviet rule in Poland are widely regarded as having played an instrumental role in the destruction of the U.S.S.R. In short, he tea-bagged the evil empire and helped to win the cold war . . .”

Walesa was treated by the Chicago media as many patriotic American Tea Party protesters and Town Hall participants the last year or so. He was slighted, ignored and treated as being non-existent! Almost the entire American opposition media (ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, New York Times, PBS, etc.) acts more and more like the old government controlled Pravda propaganda press in the Soviet Union. They walk in lock step with the Soetoro/Obama Administration and the Pelosi-Reid led Leftist dominated Congress. I see many similarities between the present government led by this untrustworthy socialist triumvirate and the leadership of the former Soviet Union, ditto between the American press and the state-run Pravda of the former Soviet Union.

Media is guilty of sins of omission for Obama in '09

The Media Research Center (MRC) just released the following report, "Omitting for Obama: How the MSM Deliberately Censored New Media Scoops in '09." The following is the opening paragraph form that report's executive summary:

"The Obama administration was embarrassed by a series of revelations about its most radical actions, assumptions, and associations in 2009. While Fox News and the conservatives on talk radio and the Internet broke and developed these stories, Americans following only the "mainstream" media would never have heard these reports. Instead of acting as government watchdogs holding the people in power accountable, the nation’s broadcast news networks deliberately suppressed and de facto censored embarrassing scoops – at least until President Obama or Congress took action and made them impossible to ignore . . .

The MRC report goes into detail, giving specific examples of where the opposition media commits malpractice. The MSM (main stream or opposition) media's treatment of Governor Sarah Palin when compared with its treatment of the gaff-prone VP Joe Biden is also most revealing. You can feel the animus whenever Governor Palin is mentioned. The opposition media overlooks much of Biden's foolishness, however.

A postal carrier who has served the United States Postal Service in Grove City, Ohio for 21 years recently sent an email to The Patriot Update claiming that his First Amendment rights are being denied. It all started when John (we’re protecting his real identity for now) displayed a couple of conservative bumper stickers from The Patriot Depot on his car. His supervisors demanded that he remove the stickers from his personal vehicle if he wanted to continue parking on the USPS employee lot.

In America in 2009 it is fashionable, tolerable, and very acceptable to mock, marginalize, discriminate against conservatives and Christians on any and every public and private venue. The hatred on the part of the Left is so vehement because they want to eradicate what they apparently perceive as the last barrier to implementing their full socialistic, Marxist, globalist agenda.

You see evidence of this in the John Freshwater case in Mount Vernon, Ohio. They not only want God out of the schools, but they want Christ-followers out, too. You also see a clear example of this in the opposition media's (ABC, AP, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, etc.) treatment or mistreatment of Sarah Palin ever since she set foot on the national stage. They want all godly, Christian, conservative and traditional, historical American values purged everywhere, from the public square to the kindergarten. The media, entertainment, education, even so-called mainline Churches (same-sex champion Episcopalian, Evangelical Lutheran, etc.) don't want anything to do with the God of the Judeo-Christian Bible or the conservative principles of the Founders.

Ohio LiberTEA ParTEA 8/1/09 Columbus, Part 2

I was not surprised, but still disappointed with the meager media coverage of this landmark event, the all-Ohio LiberTEA Party held on Saturday. There were THOUSANDS of patriots present. A major speaker was featured, Judge Andrew Napolitano of Fox News. See a portion of his speech at the bottom of this article.

For example, while the local liberal yellow journal, also called the Columbus Dispatch, on its “A Taxing Issue” photo layout of the issue, manipulated the TEA Party protest into merely an anti-tax event and marginalized it as just one side (the wrong one) of the local tax issue. You see the City of Columbus has an income tax ballot issue coming up tomorrow. Interestingly and very revealing the first three photos in the 9 photo slideshow cover the TEA Party. Again, this is an event where 7-10 THOUSAND people from all over the state gave up their Saturday afternoons to make the trip to an otherwise dead downtown. On the other hand, a few hundred local door-to-door ballot issue pushers where given a 6 photos (100% more coverage) to cover their sorry story. To me that is pushing a certain agenda and not reporting the news objectively or fairly, the complete story did not get told.
Another example is the only news story I could find was on WTBN TV10, a CBS affiliate, spent approximately 2 ½ minutes covering Issue One (the local income tax issue) and the campaign to pass the income tax, while less than 2 minutes were given to the massive grassroots pro-limited government, pro-liberty, pro-sovereignty, pro-American rally that occurred on the west lawn of the Statehouse.

Below are photos and a video that, I think capture the magnitude of the multitude meeting to express their outrage not only over the taxes, but loss of state sovereignty (which, by the way, was one of the main reasons for the rally) loss of individual freedoms, growth of big government, and the doubling of the deficit by the current administration and Congress in just six months.

No matter if the media tries to ignore, minimize, even deceive its audiance about the growing Tea Party Movement, it will continue to gain momentum. Americans are unhappy with the direction and policies President Soetoro a/k/a Obama, Reid and Pelosi are advancing. We must make our voices heard, as many of the speakers mentioned the August recess is an excellent time to tell our representatives and Senators what we think about Socialized Medicine (ObamaCare) and Cap and Trade . . .

Palin’s Commencement Address to Alaska & America

Over the lunch hour I caught a few minutes of the Rush Limbaugh Radio Show. He played a few clips of Governor Palin’s Farewell Address in Alaska, which she made on Sunday. I was impressed with some of the sound bites. I listened to the entire speech and want to highlight a few of the more stunning and powerful remarks. She did the speech without the aid of a teleprompter, by the way.

REBUKING THE MALIGNANT OPPOSITION MEDIA

So, how about in honor of the American soldier, YA QUIT MAKING THINGS UP?” This was an obvious, long overdue, rightful slap at the media’s malpractice, which so characterized the Leftist dominated opposition media (ABC, AP, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, MoveOn.org, Huffington Post, NY Times, etc.)

Governor Palin points out probably one of the most important things absent in the policies and agenda of the current administration, [ @2:49 of the video ] “At statehood we knew . . . that we are RESPONSIBLE for ourselves and our families and our future. And fifty years later, please let’s not start believing that government is the answer. It can’t make you HAPPY, HEALTHY, WEALTHY, or WISE. What can? It is the wisdom of the people and our families and our small businesses and industrious individuals. And it is God’s grace helping those who help themselves. And then this allows that very generous VOLUNTARY hand-up that we can known for, enthusiastically providing for those who need it.” Whether she runs again for political office or not she will be an effective voice for conservatives to the bane of Liberals across the nation. She'll tell it like it is and help put traction to the Tea Party Movement . . .

ENCOURAGING RESPONSIBLE USE OF NATURAL RESOURCES

Confronting obstructionist environmental extremists and extremism, she chided, [ @ 4:20 of the video ] “We must be prudent and persistent and press for the peoples’ right to RESPONSIBLY develop God-given resources for the maximum benefit of the people.”

MY OVERALL ASSESSMENT OF THE SPEECH

Overall, I find Sarah Palin to be Reaganesque and so refreshing in her positive upbeat approach to political challenges and issues that we face. What a stark contrast to the negative, crisis-oriented, fear-based, America-hating, enemy-appeasing that so characterizes the current occupier of the White House and our lame Congress and its Congressional 'leaders'.

I don't blame Governor Sarah Palin from resigning. The Democratic-controlled opposition media has had it sights on Governor Palin since she appeared on the scene last fall. The Chicago political thugs currently stationed in the White House are intent on destroying their toughest opposition. She is a substantial foe. I do not think she succumbed to the media, I think she wants to get out of debt caused by trying to preserve her name and reputation. She will be back. Mano a mano against Barry Soetoro a/k/a Barack Obama she has an excellent chance on winning despite the overwhelming bias and negativity generated by the likes of Couric, Gibson, Williams and Matthews in the opposition media. Even the establishment RINOs and so-called moderate Republicans dislike her.

Why is she so hated by the political elite in both parties and the feminists and Hollywood? It is because she is a real Christian and a strong conservative. She respects life and traditional family and the values, virtues and principles that made America great. She believes in free-enterprise, capitalism and in keeping to the original intent of the Constitution. To the aforementioned these are anathema.

The only ones that apparently do like Sarah Palin are the majority of the American people. She has great obstacles to overcome, not the least of which are some of her own wrong positions such as I understand, is her dubious position in favor of the Global Warming Hoax inspired, economy-crushing Cap & Trade (Tax).

Why so much media attention to and coverage of an accused pedophile? Folks, the man Michael Jackson was just an entertainer, a crotch-grabbing entertainer at that! He symbolizes American decadence at its worse. We should be decrying his influence, rather than celebrating his life.

Does the opposition media (ABC, AP, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, etc.) want to distract us from the real serious, more substantive issues like the Waxman-Markey Cap & Tax bill, which is based on the fallacious global warming theory? Does it want to distract us from the 9 1/2 % unemployment rate caused in large part by the inept handling of the economy by the present administration and their unproductive, pork-laden, debt-increasing, wasteful and totally ineffective stimulus bill?

What I don’t understand is the excessive coverage of this apparent pervert over the minimal coverage of the massive and growing TEA Party Protest Movement. Nary a word is devoted to this important and dramatic movement protesting the leftward, socialistic direction the ‘Dear Leader’ is taking this nation.

Why the President scares me, an open letter to him

I received an email today from Don Wildmon of the American Family Association (AFA) containing a letter written by a former vice-president of Proctor and Gamble. That letter was originally sent to the New York Times, but was never published by that burned out lighthouse of biased leftward propaganda. However, the letter made its way to the Internet, where is is being read by thousands upon thousands. The following is a copy of that letter. The italicised headings are mine.
