Santorum Is Not as Slick as the Other Rick, but is Just as Sick

Rick Santorum is, according to the progressive propaganda machine, “a right wing extremist”.  But is this really true?  Santorum says that his positions are about the same as Bachmann’s, but he claims that he is better at “getting things done” or that he has more “proven leadership”.  Yeah, that kind of sounds like Tim Pawlenty’s criticism only more politely stated.  “So you voted against the bailouts, Obamacare, and the stimulus.  It’s still your fault that all these things happened because of your lack of leadership even though you have only been in the House of Representatives for two terms and you are only one of the 435 of its members.”  (This is not an exact quote from either Pawlenty or Santorum, but basically that is what they said.)  This is an incredible, if not disturbing claim.  If you’re clever, you can read between the lines to see what Santorum and Pawlenty are really saying.  They are insulted by this new upstart who has only been in Congress for two terms.  She hasn’t yet “paid her dues”.  They have done more political favors than Bachmann.  They have more “chips to cash in” that will help them win the election and get legislation passed.  (But they have nothing in that regard compared to Rick Perry.)  That is what is really behind Santorum’s statement that he is better at “getting things done” and “leadership”. 

Consider the language contained in the Department of Health and Human Services appropriations bill, H.R. 4606 of the 103rd Congress that Santorum voted for: 

SEC. 509. None of the funds appropriated under this Act shall be expended for any abortion except when it is made known to the Federal entity or official to which funds are appropriated under this Act that such procedure is necessary to save the life of the mother or that the pregnancy is the result of an act of rape or incest.

What’s worse that the fact that the appropriated money could be used for abortions in cases of rape and incest is that abortion providers received no small amount of money from this bill which they could use for purposes other than abortion.  These funds were used indirectly to support abortion.  And this is not the only instance of Santorum voting for abortion funding.  There is also H.R. 2518 of the 103^rd Congress (again find it under Title V, section 509).  Here is the language in H.R. 3061 of the 107^th Congress, which Santorum also voted for:

SEC. 509. (a) The limitations established in the preceding section shall not apply to an abortion--

(1) if the pregnancy is the result of an act of rape or incest; or

(2) in the case where a woman suffers from a physical disorder, physical injury, or physical illness, including a life-endangering physical condition caused by or arising from the pregnancy itself, that would, as certified by a physician, place the woman in danger of death unless an abortion is performed.

(b) Nothing in the preceding section shall be construed as prohibiting the expenditure by a State, locality, entity, or private person of State, local, or private funds (other than a State's or locality's contribution of Medicaid matching funds).

(c) Nothing in the preceding section shall be construed as restricting the ability of any managed care provider from offering abortion coverage or the ability of a State or locality to contract separately with such a provider for such coverage with State funds (other than a State's or locality's contribution of Medicaid matching funds).

Santorum has the gall to accuse his opponents of being pro-choice* just because they believe that abortion should legal in cases of rape and incest while at the same time, he sees nothing wrong with voting for bills that fund abortion, even while there is a Republican President and a Republican majority in both Houses!  If this is what he means by “getting things done”, we don’t want it!  Santorum took Bachmann’s side against Ron Paul in the argument that the states do not have a Constitutional right to mandate the purchase of healthcare coverage.  So it’s not OK for the states to pass a healthcare mandate, but it is OK for you Repugnants to pass a mandate that says that we must pay for these abortions?  Career politicians like Santorum think that if they fall in line and vote for !@#$ like this, then later they can undo the harm that they caused once they get more power.  But it never works and the warped desire for more power and the compromising never ends.  

Santorum refused to intervene in the selection of fellow Pennsylvanian and then Republican Arlen Specter to chairmanship of the House Judiciary.  “It’s not my place to interfere,” he said.  Not only that, he actually campaigned for Specter, who, after being elected to the term that Santorum helped him to win, became a Democrat and voted for Obamacare!  Now how’s that for “leadership”?  Is this pot smoker going to legislate his brand of morality as our President?  No he won’t, because, as I said, he has not done nearly as many political favors as Rick Perry.  Santorum will drop out as soon as he gets over the delusion that he might actually win.

*Chris Wallace said this in one of the recent debates and Santorum didn’t deny it.

As the above video series indicates, the Federal Reserve System is wicked and manipulative. When you go to take out a loan at a bank, the money that the bank lends to you is not money that has been deposited into someone’s savings account. The bank itself may not be one of the privileged few that can create money out of nothing, but they borrow money from (Central) banks that can. Of course, there are the restrictions on how much money these banks can create (fractional reserve requirements) and how much interest they can charge (the prime rate), but every time they do this, they are essentially robbing every American (or anyone holding U.S. Dollars) of the value of their money. The system encourages people to live beyond their means, and as, you may already see (explained further below) leads both citizens and governments into an endless cycle of debt.

THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ITSELF DOES NOT CREATE NEW MONEY. They borrow it from the Federal Reserve.

Now, whenever a loan is paid off, the principal (but not the interest) ceases to exist, just as it was created when it was loaned. So the banks get to earn interest on money that was created out of thin air. Almost all of the U.S. dollars that exist were created this way—out of debt. Therefore, this is a system of perpetual indebtedness to the banks. There is only enough money loaned out to pay back the principal of the loans. Every time you take out a loan at bank, you are creating debt that can NEVER be paid off. Even if the bank repossesses someone’s car, house, or other property, these things can’t be used as currency—they must be sold for paper money because it is the only “legal tender”—the only thing that will feed the monster we have created. It will get worse and worse until the system collapses or we ABOLISH THE SYSTEM ENTIRELY (unless, as the video series points out, we sustain exponential economic growth indefinitely). The U.S. DOLLAR IS AN ELABORATE PONZI SCHEME (OR PYRAMID SCHEME).

This punishment for sin was a necessary consequence of God's sense of justice. But it made it harder for mankind to abstain from sinning. Because it then took hard work to get things to grow for food, there was more temptation to steal and kill for it instead. And in turn, other sins became more enticing as well. Later God established a covenant with Israel by which their sins could be “rolled back” through performing sacrifices. But just as the debt of money (under our current system) can never be paid off, so too was it impossible for the sins of mankind to be paid under the Old Covenant. Just as the incurring of debts under the Federal Reserve System inevitably leads to more debt and eventual collapse, so also sin inevitably leads to more sin and eventually death (both physical death and eternal separation from God). But when Christ died on the cross, the “system” of sin and death was changed. To be saved from eternal death you must believe in the One sent by God, admit that you are morally bankrupt, and turn away from sin. This is our “bankruptcy protection” from sin.

I applaud activists of various political stripes whose efforts are dedicated to restoring sound money and abolishing the Federal Reserve. But I suspect that their efforts will ultimately fail without spiritual revival. Christ is the only one who can “change the system” so as to eliminate the source of all corruption. My Response:

Certainly, everyone involved in this shameful, disgraceful, despicable act should be fired, fined and jailed. This is a very serious breach of individual rights. Each of us deserves the right to privacy. This was primarily a political move to destroy, to assassinate the character of a person who dared to question or put in a negative light on someone who has been almost deified by the mainstream media. This smells of a Gestapo or KGB tactic. Destroy all the enemies of the party, in this case the Democrat Party. Sarah Palin, like Joe the Plumber, has also been a target of the mainstream media and biased targeted investigation. All the while the serious questions about Barack Hussein Obama's qualifications to hold office (proof of his American birth), his gross lack of experience, his questionable associations and past dealings, and radical anti-American political philosophy and positions on issues such as his support for infanticide have been completely ignored by the so-called journalists.

As a result of all the positive and negative publicity which Joe the Plumber has received since he asked “the Question” has resulted in a degree of fame. Joe has, in fact, created a website SecureOurDream dot com. There are many Joes in America.

Unfortunately Governor Ted Strickland will not fire Helen Jones Kelley, the Director of Ohio Job and Family Services which ran unnecessary and unlawful searches on Joe the Plumber, because it would not be politically correct. Anymore, it is more important to be politically correct than it is to do the correct thing.

"When the federal government announced two months ago that it would prop up mortgage buyers Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, CRP looked at how much money members of Congress had collected since 1989 from the companies. On Sunday the government completely took over the two government-sponsored enterprises, and we've returned to our data to bring you the updates, this time providing a list of all 354 lawmakers who have gotten money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac (in July we posted the top 25). These totals are based on data released electronically from the FEC on Sept. 2 and include contributions to lawmakers' leadership PACs and candidate committees from the floundering companies' PACs and employees. Current members of Congress have received a total of $4.8 million from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, with Democrats collecting 57 percent of that. This week we also wrote about how much money lawmakers had invested of their own money in the companies last year--a total of up to $1.7 million."

Barack Hussein Obama received over $120,000 from individuals employed at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The same people who personally profited from their involvement in these companies and who contributed to their financial collapse now work for the Obama campaign. Is this the team that will be leading America out of its financial crisis? I don't think so.
