Political correctness (PC) seems to be the rule in America today. Thanks for this predicament has to be given to the tireless effort of the current occupier of the White House and his corrupt administration guided by Valerie Jarrett, the President's Senior Advisor (and a major under-miner). Legions of secular humanist elitists in politics, business, the media, academia, and entertainment, etc. also contribute to the erosion of our traditional values. To the Left, PC transcends individual rights including the right to life, religious liberty, the sacredness of marriage, and the inability to even name Islam as the inspiration for the most vicious acts of terrorism in the world today.

I was given, as a gift this Christmas, the movie, Last Ounce of Courage, which provides an example of what one individual can do in the face of a society inundated and infected with the PC contagion.

The forces of evil all around us and they include secularism, Islamism, Progressivism all of which are gaining a foot hold in our culture.  The Obama Administration has quickened the effect of these negative influences. All of these forces seem to be working in concert with each other to diminish biblical Christian influence in America. Ironically, it was Christianity that was the midwife in the birth of America. And the tyranny that comes from ideologies like atheism or Islamism is exactly what the early Americans were fleeing when they came and established the United States.

Christmas, recognizing the birth of Jesus, is the ultimate expression or symbol of what it means to be Christian. That could be the reason why Christianity is the target of those who want to remove all the vestiges of Christianity from the public square and everywhere else in this society.

A major theme of Last Ounce of Courage is countering the anti-Christmas, anti-Christian movement. After all, Christmas is a national holiday and is a fixture of tradition in America. The Left wants it gone. Organizations like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), Americans for the Separation of Church and State, People for the American Way, Freedom from Religion, American Atheists, and others work endless to rid the nation of all Christian influences. This is what the main character of the movie faced.

The main character, a pharmacist and a part-time mayor of a small town, faces an ACLU type of villain who comes to town after a report was made that a Christmas tree was erected in front of city hall. The anti-Christian lawyer demands that the tree be removed because it violates the separation of church and state law. Nowhere in the constitution is there any basis for this illicit finding.

The mayor resists, and after reflection on the fact that his son had given his life fighting for freedom overseas in combat, he begins to push back against the anti-Christmas, anti-Christian persecution. He eventually loses his job as mayor when the city council gives into the demands of the court, which supports the ACLU representative.

The movie makes one wonder, "What am I doing to reverse the trend to completely remove Christmas and to marginalize or neuter Christianity in our society?" Well here is what I've tentatively resolved:

(1) To support Senator Ted Cruz in any way I can to insure his election as President. He is a courageous conservative, more than in name only. He will contend for what is right. He has proven to do so while serving in public office.

(2) To help elect true conservatives in Congress on the state and national levels.

(3) To pray for revival in my own life and in the lives of all Americans to bring about the restoration of traditional values and principles on which the country was founded.

(4) To be more active on this blog addressing the negative forces that work to intentionally or inadvertently ruin this nation.

I recommend this movie to every Christian, Conservative and Patriot. Watch the movie, get motivated to something, join the fight to stem the tide of anti-Christmas, anti-Christianity, anti-American subversion that abounds all around our society today. 2016 may be our last opportunity to undo the damage perpetrated by the Carter-Clinton-Bushes-Obama regimes and other forces of evil which are hard at work stripping Americans of their God-given freedoms ...

Just at a time when the ‘new’ Browns seem to be overcoming their loser mentality and status. Just at a time the city of Cleveland wins a huge prize in landing the 2016 Republican Convention. That’s when two clueless councilmen come up with the brilliant idea of fully implementing the depraved agenda of the godless Left thereby forcing the acceptance of double-minded, mixed-up men using women’s bathrooms, showers, and lipstick. You just shouldn’t be putting lipstick on a pig, should you?

Cleveland's Proposed "Transgender-friendly" legislation opening all restrooms to both sexes Defines the Depravity of Left.    Akron, OH - Tom Zawistowski, President of the We the People Convention, spoke out today about proposed legislation in Cleveland, Ohio that would allow people who "claim" to be transgender to decide at any time which public restroom or shower they wish to use at that moment. Furthermore, the legislation would provide fines of "not less than one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or sentenced to not less than three (3) months imprisonment, or both" for any person or any business barring one gender from using a facility designated for the other that is a public restroom or shower.    The authors of the Legislation, Matt Zone from Ward 15 and Joe Cimperman from Ward 3 in Cleveland, claim that this is "common sense legislation" and that "the measure is designed to give transgender people the power to use whichever restroom aligns with their gender identity" in an effort to help transgendered people feel more comfortable using public restrooms. On Wednesday, November 12, at 1:30 PM there will be a committee meeting in Cleveland City Hall to discuss the proposed ordinance.   Zawistowski, responded to the proposal by saying "The fact that the radical regressive Democratic left, continues to use gay and transgender citizen's to advance their anti-American, anti-liberty, anti-religious agenda is just beyond the pale.  Like the phony "gay-marriage" fight which has nothing to do with gay rights or marriage, but is simply a well hidden attack on religious freedom for the vast majority of US Citizens as well as an attack on America's critical social institutions, this insane legislation, has nothing to do with helping citizens who "claim" to be transgender to be more comfortable in society. All this does is raise anger against transgender citizens, not because of prejudice, but because the radical regressive left goes out of their way to put them in a position of looking like they are attacking non-transgender citizens by asking for laws the are discriminatory to the majority. They don't want equal rights, they want "special" additional rights."   Zawistowski went on to give several examples, "Look at Councilman Zone and Cimperman's quotes. Clearly there is nothing common sense about letting men into women's bathrooms without the consent of those women. But that is not the half of the problem. They say the measure is designed to "give transgender people the power" to use which ever restroom they want. Power over whom? Over the 99.7% of all Clevelander's who are not transgender! They don't want transgender citizens to be treated equally; they want to give them more rights than you and I - even if you don't live in Cleveland. What if our are from other parts of Ohio, and you are a woman who goes to Browns game, do you want men in the restroom with you who you don't know and haven't agreed to let in there with you? How would you like to be fined $1,000 if you try to throw them out of the women's restroom? This legislation intends to take away your rights to be safe and secure when you go to the restroom or shower and will do so without your permission. Do you want your 14 year old daughter or granddaughter to go into a restroom at a park or restaurant and be followed in there by some creepy guy you don't know? What happens the first time someone "claiming" to be transgender assaults a women in your place of business? Who do you think is going to get sued? The result of this legislation will not result in an infinitesimal minority of citizens feeling "more comfortable", it will result in nearly all other American's feeling uncomfortable and will cause there to be less "public" restrooms for everyone. Exactly what the left wants - public chaos and the destruction of our civil society and the institutions that support it! These Councilmen are unfit for office and clearly do not represent the interests of 99.7% of the voters in their wards or in all of Cleveland for that matter."   Zawistowski concluded by saying, "This is another in a long line of attacks by the radical regressive Democratic left to break down the norms of our society using semantics, like "gay-marriage" and "social justice", and emotional appeals of "injustice" to hide their true intent. Which is to take away our liberty and individual freedom to make our own decisions, all the while claiming to do the opposite. The left's is trying to take away the right of the majority of citizens to decide what is "normal" in our society and instead have the state tell us what we must accept as normal. That is not how it works in our representative republic, which is a form of democracy where power comes from the people to its representatives in order to implement the wishes of the majority while still protect the rights of minorities. No one is denying Transgender citizens the right to use a bathroom now, but a "claim" that somehow this makes them "uncomfortable" does not rise to the level of violating their rights - so that they can violate ours.  I hope that the citizens, pastors, and business owners of Cleveland show up in droves at the Committee meeting on Wednesday, to protect their rights and make it clear in no uncertain term that anyone who votes to take your rights away to give to someone else will not be in office for long."

If being stripped of your Constitutional right to defend yourself makes you more “safe” according to the government — you might live in a nation that was founded by geniuses but is run by idiots.

Travon Martin and Ferguson are examples of how the Political Left is using and shaping crises to fit and/or to take full advantage of them for political purposes. See the article, 2014, The Year of the Manufactured Crises. Now, following in the footsteps of the great crisis-maker himself, our beloved President, the Progressive Left, as a piece of its politically correct agenda is making the most of the made-up Redskin controversy.  I would venture to say most Native Americans could care less what the football team in our nation’s capitol calls itself. They have deeper problems like poverty and rampant alcoholism within their communities.

Public opinion polls are showing the President and Congress at all-time low approval rates. At this point in time many feel, as I do, that actually the name “Washington” (referring to the city that houses our grossly obese and indolent government) is much more offensive than the moniker “Redskins”.  

Aren’t there much more important issues to be dealing with today, like the Islam-influenced terrorists who desire to wreak havoc in the Middle East and the West? How about the inhumane treatment of women, Christians, so-called moderate Muslims, American journalists at the hands of these savage Islamists? What about jobs and the economy? What about the Russian expansion into Ukraine?

Is the purpose to focus on the “Redskin” non-controversy to divert our attention away from the real problems and issues? Or is there some other nefarious reason for promoting such a non-issue now?

Even though this was a terrorist attack in every respect by the now bearded Jihadist Muslim Major Hasan, the Army will not recognize the tragedy as such. It remains only an incident of ‘workplace violence’.  Thank you, unjust justice chief AG Eric Holder and thank you, Islamist-appeaser Barack Obama. When will we start again calling an act of Islamic terror and act of Islamic terror?

Modesty

This is series of articles designed to help professing Christians to turn from their wicked ways and get back to following New Testament ethics.  Compromise is increasing in the church.  Popular opinion among churchgoers is often in stark contrast to the very words of Jesus on many issues.  Christians need to know the word of God and get back to using it as a reference book when they are faced with important decisions.

I am not going to write about Thanksgiving today because today is not Thanksgiving.  It is next Thursday.  I am going to ignore Franksgiving and talk about an entirely different subject.

I have noticed that women (and to some extent even men) have become less and less modest.  Most Christians are going along with it and many are participating in this wickedness themselves.  Many are not even afraid to go into God’s house inadequately covered.  

It is particularly disturbing that parents allow their teenage daughters to dress immodestly in church.  In recent years it seems that a tradition has arisen in which the girls wear their prom dresses to church on the Sunday after the prom and these dresses tend to be very immodest. 

The Bible says:

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 

I Timothy 2:9

 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. 4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

Our church has dress policy.  “Everything should be covered from just below the neck to just above the knees.”  This is great, but nobody pays any attention to the policy because it is undermined by these sentences:

We will continue to encourage our members to accept visitors whatever their mode of dress.  By meeting them where they are, we can love them to Christ who can transform their hearts so that they are no longer conformed to the world…

In other words, we are cowards.  We would rather see people enticed by the lust of the flesh and put them in danger of going to hell than do what is right.  Jesus said: 

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

I am tired of all this political correctness and saying that Jesus accepts people just the way that they are.  The Bible makes it clear that you must turn from your wicked ways and repent in order to be saved.  By allowing these people to participate in church service not fully clothed, it is we who are “conforming to this world”.  What is ironic about this is that the visitors aren’t usually the ones who dress too immodestly.  It is actually the regular members are actually by far the worst culprits in this area.  What poor example to set for the visitors!  I am tired of hearing all this garbage about the church being “a hospital for sinners and not a museum for saints”.  The church should be a safe haven for upright Christians, not just another den of wickedness!  If not in the church, where else can we go to be safe from the temptations of sin?  This political correctness is not about restraining a judgmental spirit, but it is about cowering in fear over what people will say if stand up for what is right!  When young girls dress immodestly and it causes young men to sin, God is angered greatly.

Last week I quoted a verse about disfellowshipping fake Christians:

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Note that the word “fornicator” is the word “pornos” in the original Greek.  The root of the word is where the word “pornography” comes from.

Someone might say that you can’t totally keep sinfulness out of any place even the church.  That is true.  They may say that you wouldn’t keep a drug or alcohol addict from coming to church.  That is also true.  But I wouldn’t allow the addict to bring his drugs or alcohol into church and do them while the service is going on!  I wouldn’t allow them to tempt children to do the same inside the church!  Duh!  And while it may be difficult for someone to give up an addictive habit, it is not at all a difficult thing to dress modestly.  It is so very stupid not to require a reasonable level decency in the church!

The video was made in response to yet another of President Obama’s ridiculous, unnecessary, foolhardily appeasing apologies, this time to President Karzai and the Afghan people, for the unintentional burning of a few Qur’ans. This is one wise, young, and discerning American commentator, who sees his apology for what it is and offers her own to cogent counter to it… Following the video is a transcription of the letter to the President of Afghanistan.

Dear President Karzai:

I have seen on the news the anger and frustration the people are expressing after it was discovered that members of our military burned copies of the Qur’an outside an American detention facility. Your people were outraged. I was outraged, too, and I’d like to express my sincere apologies …

·         I am sorry your penchant for raising and harboring enemies of the United States have made it necessary for us to be in your crappy, corrupt, backward country for as long as we have been there!

·         I’m sorry that the politically correct, blame-America-first crowd has so infected our military operations that the rules of engagement make it impossible for us to just quickly level the bad guys there and get out!

·         I’m sorry that you run a nation of men who would kill and have killed over the printed words on a page, but have no problem whatsoever with sowing the 12 year old girl’s vagina shut so she can’t “sin” and beheading homosexuals.

·         I’m sorry that our President would make such a public spectacle of apologizing for the burning of books containing secret prisoner communication while giving you and your armed forces a pass on murdering our own military personnel in cold blood!

·         I’m sorry that your culture finds it acceptable for grown men to leave off caring for their families in order to stand around for days shooting guns, burning American flags, and calling our President a black dog and other names!

·         I’m sorry our President sees more value in apologizing to those men than in standing up for American interests and freedom!

Mostly, President Karzai, I’m sorry that we don’t have a leader with enough balls to tell you to kindly take your fake moral outrage and your terrorist sensibilities and shove them both where the sun don’t shine. And I’m not talking about those caves you house the Taliban in. I’m so so sorry!

Shoddy Reporting on the Religion of Islam by ABC News, Part 4

I came across a critique of the ABC News 20/20 program, “Islam: Questions and Answers.” That program originally was broadcast a year ago. The recent YouTube exposé points out 20 errors in the hour long supposed ‘news’ program. This is a fourth of a series of posts that will delve into the various errors made by Diane Sawyer and her fellow staff on this program. I am not quite sure whether this was just bad or sloppy reporting, or merely a succumbing to political correctness, or outright lies about the so-called ‘religion’ of peace.

Here is the video, “Whitewashing Islam – 20 Errors on 20/20 (ABC News).” Following the video is a transcript of the next error found in the ‘news’ production.

Error #4

ABC’s Diane Sawyer says of the tenants of Islam,   

“And also in the Qur’an, the heart of Islam, Mohammed’s five pillars.”

David Wood corrects Sawyer, “Sorry, Diane, but the Five Pillars don’t come from the Qur’an. They come from the Hadith. You won’t find the shahada (faith, the first pillar) in the Qur’an. You won’t find ‘pray five times a day’ in the Qur’an. You won’t find a list of the five pillars in the Qur’an.

“I point this out because this is as basic as it gets and you’re not even getting it right!”

Error #5

Edina Lekovic (of the Muslim Public Affairs Council or MPAC) is recorded as saying on the ABC program about the mosque,      

“You know the reality is that the vast majority of Muslims in the United States are not mosque-attending Muslims. And that is okay.”

David Wood facetiously asks, “It’s okay for Muslims to do other things when they are supposed to be at the mosque?

“Seriously?

“In Sahih al Bukhari 657, Mohammed was about to burn Muslims alive and burn their houses because they did not show up for prayer. Seems Mohammed took this whole mosque thing seriously.

“But not to worry all you Muslims, who don’t want to go to the mosque. ABC News has a thoroughly Westernized Muslim woman telling you it’s okay to ignore your prophet’s command.”

Edina Lekovic, the Director of Policy and Programming for MPAC, now joins Diane Sawyer in presenting misinformation. Political correctness seems to rule the ABC News airwaves. There seems no regard for the truth.
