CCV is Useless

Citizens for Community Values has been traditionally recognized as a organization which helps to promote family values by informing people of the positions of candidates running for office, supporting good legislation, and helping people overcome sexual addictions.  I was disappointed that they stopped showing the answers to candidate survey questions to the public and instead they just give a list of endorsements.  They are supposed to pro-life, but they endorse candidates who have voted for Title X federal funding of Planned Parenthood.

I showed up at the CCV banquet last week.  I did not have a ticket, but I stood outside the banquet hall soliciting the attendees for their signature for the Ohio Personhood Amendment.  After getting about 15 signatures, someone from CCV asked me to leave.  “We don’t allow anything like that at the banquet,” she said.  The attendees all went down to the banquet to salivate over the likes of Gary Bauer and “Title X” Rick (I don’t know if Santorum actually showed or not) while their eating their $60 dinner, but I am not allowed to get signatures at the entryway because it’s “too political”.  I might have endangered their precious 501(c)(3) status, but their support for the Heartbeat Bill, that inferior compromise which would allow thousands babies to continue to be murdered in Ohio every year, is somehow not such a problem.

CCV may still do some good things and I have given them contributions in the past.  But I will never do it again.  As far as I’m concerned they are mainly all bark and no bite.

A Hallowed Haloed Hero, or a Big Zero?

Today an AP photograph that accompanied an article on YahooNews caught my attention. Typical of the opposition media (ABC, AP, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, PBS, etc.) who is so enamored with this man whom they worship as an idol. The picture says it all. The contemplative, nearly canonized St. Barry, who in reality has accomplished nothing except double our national deficit during his first month in office. He is nothing more than a political hack and neighborhood organizer from Chicago, who bought the election with political savvy, dirty tricks, and with George Soros and foreign money.

The first paragraph of the YahooNews article reads, "Urging strict future restraint even as current spending soars, President (Barry Soetoro a/k/a) Barack Obama pledged on Monday to dramatically slash the skyrocketing annual budget deficit as he started to dole out the record $787 billion economic stimulus package he signed last week." His statement is laughable. He sounds like a heroin addict, "I will quit after one more fix, I promise. The bottom line as usual for this great deceiver is his talk does not match his talk. It is not even close.

Here is one example of Soetoro double talk, "I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay." What? After pushing through a so-called stimulus package, which was little stimulus and much pork and political payoff, last week, he has the nerve to say that he doesn't want to burden our children? Does this man take Americans as complete fools? To me his halo is a big zero, it is not hallowed in any way, shape, or form.
