Blind Eyes Opened (2020), Pornography, Sex-Trafficking and Abortion

“To open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness.” (Isaiah 42:7)

The eyes of much of the general public and most church people are blind to the existence of slavery in the world today. We are blinded to the extent sex-trafficking is occurring right under our noses today in the good ole U.S.A. The fact is that there are 27 million slaves worldwide today, with some being shackled, abused and used right here in America.

Blind Eyes Opened is a 90-minute movie documentary 5 years in the making about sex-trafficking in the U.S.A. It was shown in 800 theaters on Thursday, January 23, 2020 only.

I was disappointed in seeing only a smattering of people attending the Mansfield area theater last night. Sadly, the theater was at most 1/3 full. I guess many were unaware of the movie showing, were apathetic, or had more important things to do such as watching the sham impeachment proceedings on TV. The church was mostly invisible as usual when it comes to the critical social issues of the day. I guess most of us don’t want to think about the unpleasant aspects of reality.

SIX EX-TRAFFICKED WOMEN

This movie revolves around the testimonies of six women who, themselves, were trafficked when they were just girls. Some were sold for sex by their parents, some by relatives, some by boys or men who befriended them and later prostituted them.

Sex-trafficking is, indeed, an ugly reality.

The following are just some of the highlights gleaned from the movie.

·         The fatherless home is a serious problem in America. Children seek out the love denied by absent fathers and look to whoever may provide any affection or concern.

·         Middle School aged children as young as 9, 10, 11- are victims of sex traffickers.

·         11 to 14-year-old girls and boys are both sought by sex-traffickers. The ratio is 15% to 85% boys to girls trafficked.

RECRUITING

The movie identifies three types of traffickers: Romeos, guerillas, and professionals. Most people think it is the guerillas who grab or kidnap victims. But what is more prevalent is the young man or adult who befriends the child and grooms her or him over a period of time, then enslaves them using drugs, physical violence and/or threats to family members. The professional lurks in shopping malls or areas where vulnerable, lone girls may be befriended and/or grabbed.

Social media is increasingly being used to search and stalk vulnerable kids as well. Traffickers may study the friends of a targeted child and try to get to know as much as possible about the victim, then make contact with them, entice them with gifts, befriending them.

RUNAWAYS

Children living in real or perceived abusive homes or in foster home situations who may feel homeless seek escape. Sex-traffickers target these young girls traveling alone on bus, train or plane.

STOCKHOLM SYNDROME

Pitifully, some captives of sex traffickers are so beaten up and beaten down they still look at their pimp in a favorable light. No one else cares.

Emotional bonds may be formed, between captor and captives, during intimate time together, but these are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims." Stockholm syndrome is one reason that the victims of traffickers do not run from their masters or even try to protect them when the girl is arrested.

SUICIDE

The life of the captive is often short-lived. Suicide is a way out for many as the only escape form the horrors and the guilt.

CAUSES AND PREVENTION

Pornography

One solution is to clamp down on the widespread availability and use of pornography by men, women, and even younger and younger children. Shockingly, the movie noted that young people are exposed to porn on the average at 11 years of age. Parents should closely monitor social media and use online devices. The Internet, smartphones, tablets and computers can lead be cesspools of material feeding man’s lower nature leading people astray.

Porn is a gateway taking a person from a fantasy world of self-gratification to the real world of exploiting children to fulfill one’s lustful desires.

Fatherless Homes

As stated earlier, fatherless home and lack of a positive role model often causes children to seek that attention, affection, and “love” from other scrupulous sources.

Eliminating no-fault divorce laws would make it harder for families to be torn asunder.

Crime and Punishment

Something that was not discussed in the movie is making males accountable by increasing penalties fathering children and trying to walk away unscathed. Perhaps making the father financially responsible for the child. Giving the father a choice of either providing financially for his child for eighteen years or being incarcerated for that same length of time.

Decreasing the demand for young children for sex is a high priority. Instead of treating the prostituted girl or woman as the criminal. The real punishment should be focused on the pimps, the johns the person who buy and sell their “products.” Can you believe that besides 17 counties in Nevada, where prostitution is legalized, seven states in the Northeast want to legalize prostitution. This would make catching sex-traffickers even more difficult. It would make identifying and freeing the sex slaves even more difficult.  

Interfacing with the Health Care System

88% of all sex-trafficked victims at some point interface with medical system. Either their pimps or the john (customers) hurt them. Therefore, the medical system needs increased training on how to identify, to report, or just what to do when faced with an apparent victim of abuse. A dislocated jaw, a black eye, a broken bone in a young person or a young woman must be better scrutinized.

Education

Schools must include some discussion or track of instruction in the dangers of sex traffickers to make students aware that sex traffickers are after them exists. How to identify, how to report, and what to do when faced with a potential trafficking situation should be included in Middle and High School curriculum. Being fully aware of sex-trafficking is the really bullying that should be emphasized in our public schools.

ABORTION

There is a tie, an unwritten alliance between the sex-traffickers, part of the billion-dollar sex industry and the equally sizable abortion industry.

Some trafficked girls/women have multiple abortions because they are “useless” to the pimp when they are pregnant and having a child would put a crimp on the business, a barrier to overcome. So, the pimp takes, forcefully or otherwise his sex-slave to the abortion mill. In other words, murder the human life growing in the mother, to get rid of the “problem.”

Live Action and other anti-abortion groups have pointed out this grotesque alliance and practice, but it is virtually ignored by the #FakeNews media, dismissed by the politicians and ignored by the clergy, lied about and denied by Planned Parenthood. In other words, it hidden from the general public for the most part.

Part of the abortion industries profits come from illegal sources such as revenues from pimps’ prostitutes. Statutory rapes of under-aged girls are more prevalent than admitted.

CONCLUSION

Most of the six women shown in the movie are now serving in various ministries or organizations helping girls and women who have come out of the same underworld to which they were once condemned.

Churches can address this hugely ignored injustice. How? By getting a copy of the movie’s DVD, which will be available shortly. A 7-week study guide to the movie will also become available for small group study in churches and elsewhere.

Making everyone aware of the problem and providing ways to identify signs of sex trafficking and having the courage to report any suspected abuse would go a long way in stopping this atrocity.

My eyes have been opened to the seriousness and the pervasiveness of this issue. Shared Hope International and other likeminded ministries and groups are worthy of support. I will engage my state and federal congressional representative to sponsor and support laws that will bring about an end to sex trafficking in the U.S.A. and elsewhere.

I am appalled at the prolific positive promotion of homosexuality in our culture, which is so rampant today. This perverse progressive agenda is being fueled by those bent on destroying the foundations or traditional American values and virtues. Not happy just having desensitized the consciences of millions of people via their movies, music, video games, and television to the immorality and negative aspects of homosexuality, they desire to infect all of our culture. This ungodly ideology has crept into our schools and colleges advancing a lifestyle that is deadly to individuals and to society as a whole.

The liberal left now has set their sights on making inroads into sports arena. It is not enough that professional sports tolerate and accept drug abusers, wife beaters, and cheaters. Now they want us to accept those who practice unnatural, unhealthy and abnormal homosexual behavior. Apparently so hungry to gain a foothold into sports, they have glorified a borderline player vaunting him to a status way above what his skill on the football field deserves. I have heard only rapturous reports on NPR and even ESPN following Michael Sam's every move from his low round draft pick to his pre-season exploits to his failure to make the final cut of the profession team that drafted him. He’s been treated as if he were some kind of hero or star.

What next? Will the progressive left proclaim a pedophile, a porn star, or a serial purse snatcher as the first of his or her kind to play in a sport? It is a sad commentary on the state of our society when we elevate any sinner to that status of saint, which many in our society have done in the case of Michael Sam.  I admit that I too am a sinner as every human being is. We should not glorify wanton immoral behavior of any kind, be it fornication, pornographic addiction, drug abuse, child abuse, theft, adultery, or homosexuality. In doing so it only further weakens the moral fabric and foundation of our already shaky society.

Modesty

This is series of articles designed to help professing Christians to turn from their wicked ways and get back to following New Testament ethics.  Compromise is increasing in the church.  Popular opinion among churchgoers is often in stark contrast to the very words of Jesus on many issues.  Christians need to know the word of God and get back to using it as a reference book when they are faced with important decisions.

I am not going to write about Thanksgiving today because today is not Thanksgiving.  It is next Thursday.  I am going to ignore Franksgiving and talk about an entirely different subject.

I have noticed that women (and to some extent even men) have become less and less modest.  Most Christians are going along with it and many are participating in this wickedness themselves.  Many are not even afraid to go into God’s house inadequately covered.  

It is particularly disturbing that parents allow their teenage daughters to dress immodestly in church.  In recent years it seems that a tradition has arisen in which the girls wear their prom dresses to church on the Sunday after the prom and these dresses tend to be very immodest. 

The Bible says:

In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 

I Timothy 2:9

 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. 4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person.

Our church has dress policy.  “Everything should be covered from just below the neck to just above the knees.”  This is great, but nobody pays any attention to the policy because it is undermined by these sentences:

We will continue to encourage our members to accept visitors whatever their mode of dress.  By meeting them where they are, we can love them to Christ who can transform their hearts so that they are no longer conformed to the world…

In other words, we are cowards.  We would rather see people enticed by the lust of the flesh and put them in danger of going to hell than do what is right.  Jesus said: 

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: 28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. 30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

I am tired of all this political correctness and saying that Jesus accepts people just the way that they are.  The Bible makes it clear that you must turn from your wicked ways and repent in order to be saved.  By allowing these people to participate in church service not fully clothed, it is we who are “conforming to this world”.  What is ironic about this is that the visitors aren’t usually the ones who dress too immodestly.  It is actually the regular members are actually by far the worst culprits in this area.  What poor example to set for the visitors!  I am tired of hearing all this garbage about the church being “a hospital for sinners and not a museum for saints”.  The church should be a safe haven for upright Christians, not just another den of wickedness!  If not in the church, where else can we go to be safe from the temptations of sin?  This political correctness is not about restraining a judgmental spirit, but it is about cowering in fear over what people will say if stand up for what is right!  When young girls dress immodestly and it causes young men to sin, God is angered greatly.

6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh! 8 Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. 9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire. 10 Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.

Last week I quoted a verse about disfellowshipping fake Christians:

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

Note that the word “fornicator” is the word “pornos” in the original Greek.  The root of the word is where the word “pornography” comes from.

Someone might say that you can’t totally keep sinfulness out of any place even the church.  That is true.  They may say that you wouldn’t keep a drug or alcohol addict from coming to church.  That is also true.  But I wouldn’t allow the addict to bring his drugs or alcohol into church and do them while the service is going on!  I wouldn’t allow them to tempt children to do the same inside the church!  Duh!  And while it may be difficult for someone to give up an addictive habit, it is not at all a difficult thing to dress modestly.  It is so very stupid not to require a reasonable level decency in the church!

A Wise Bumper Snicker

I heard this bumper sticker mentioned on a recent Janet Folger's Faith2Action radio show, which I try to listen to as often as I can. Shun porn like you would T.B. or H.I.V. or M.R.S.A. because it can be as deadly!

What’s so wrong with Porn?

Everything is wrong with porn - from its exploitation of the men, women, boys and girls, who are the objects of the content of the shameful material, to its destructive affect on the mind, soul and spirit of the end viewer. It also affects the user’s family and other interpersonal relationships. Pornography is only of temporal benefit to its producers and purveyors. Pornography is a billion dollar business at the expense of societal welfare.

CHOOSING LIBERTY OR LASCIVIOUSNESS

The “American” Civil “Liberties” Union (ACLU), activist judges and other so-called “protectors” of “free speech” and “liberty” are actually promoting people’s possible enslavement to an addictive, unhealthy and an abnormal behavior. There is absolutely nothing redeeming in viewing or reading pornographic materials. It is a colossal waste of time and treasure.

But some would argue that viewing illicit or indecent materials (as measured by God’s standards, non man's) is a personal choice and is something anyone, including children, should be able to do in a “free” society. To that I say we must have standards in a civilized society. Despite what the secular-humanists espouse, man is no mere animal given only the selfish satisfaction of his needs. No, man is the highest form of God’s creation; we are made in His image and likeness. That is what distinguishes us from a sheep or a frog.

In terms of immorality, making and partaking in pornography ranks with the atrocity of abortion, child abuse, adultery and the perversity of homosexual behavior. Pornography is the antithesis of morality. It is a violation of the basic laws of nature and of nature’s God. God’s plan for sex is that it be fulfilled only in a traditional one-man, one-woman relationship. Therefore sex outside of this relationship is wrong, no matter if the behavior involves adulterous, promiscuous or self-gratification relationships or activities.

The only real solution to STDs, teenage pregnancy, addiction to pornography is sexual abstinence until marriage. The opposite is taught in our government schools. The secular humanistic, hedonistic worldview mocks at this solution and cries condoms and more money for medications to overcome the affects of HIV/AIDS or other sexually transmitted diseases. Ever since the secular humanist religion replaced the true God in our educational institutions we have strayed further away from these truths, including clear teaching of moral absolutes. Our sex and violence oriented media and entertainment industries feeds the wanton desires of a growing pagan society, which includes infecting and assimilating of a growing number of worldly Christians.

PORN POISONS, PRECURSOR TO CRIME

Furthermore, pornography is a prelude to some criminal behavior including rape, child abuse, sexual assault, pedophilia etc. Adult bookstores and movies with provocative sexual content should be labeled Hazardous to your mental, social and spiritual well being. It is toxic, more harmful to humans than cigarettes or any pollution. It is after all, mind pollution, plain and simple!

WHAT IS THE SOLUTION?

Avoid pornography, don't buy-into its allure, don't purchase it, don't view it . . . easily said, but more difficult to do. But as the Bible, the Word of God, says, "With God all things are possible.' . . .

The only real solution is for each individual, starting with those who are true followers of Jesus Christ, is to repent of our personal wickedness and to embrace and follow God’s plan for our lives. He tells believers in the Bible that we are to be holy as He is holy. What? Yes, that is God’s standard. Wow, that is definitely not the world’s standard, just the opposite.

God made us with a free will. We are not robots. We are free to make choices in many areas of our lives. We ultimately choose how we live and what behaviors we do. We can choose to obey God or we can choose to ignore Him and live for only for ourselves. We have that degree of freedom. Why then would be choose to give that control to our lower natures and expose ourselves to becoming addicted to sex? Why would we allow our passions to control us and not principles? Why? Man is in a fallen condition. Man has a depraved nature.

There is, however, ultimate hope in Jesus Christ, who is God’s provision, to overcome our lower nature and to enable us to live in a higher realm here on earth in preparing us for our more permanent destiny. It all starts with giving our lives over to God, through the means of His Son, Jesus Christ. A few days ago we celebrated Christmas, which commemorates the birth of the Savior. In a few months we will be celebrating Easter, when we remember the Resurrection of the Savior. In between the Birth and Resurrection, Jesus, who was fully God, became man, suffered and died for our sins on a cruel Cross. It is only through Jesus that anyone can have the hope of an eternal relationship and fellowship with God.

The Bible talks about two paths or ultimate outcomes of our lives will lead. Despite what the man-is-god philosophers say, earth is not our ultimate destination. We live and we die, yes, but our souls live on forever. We are not reincarnated, but we do exist beyond the grave. There are two possible fates that await us.

One destination is everlasting separation from God. This is the ultimate state of existence for anyone who rejects the provision of Jesus to restore them to God. Hell is real and hell is in essence an existence totally devoid of God. As the Bible so well states this is the broad way which leads to destruction. The other is a narrow way, which leads to life.

The other destination or ultimate state of existence is in the presence of God forever. Contrary to the teachings and beliefs of Mormons or Muslims or any other religion for that matter, we do not earn our way to heaven. Entry or access to heaven only comes to us through a personal relationship with the Savior, Jesus Christ.

THE ULTIMATE CHOICE

At some point in our lives here on earth we must deal with what to do with Jesus. We either reject or we accept Him. We must have accepted Him as our personal mediator or reconciler to make us in right relationship with God. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to (God) the Father except through Me.”

The key is the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We must realize that God loves each of us uniquely and unequivocally. But, at the same time we must acknowledge that we are sinners, wicked individuals, hopelessly lost and apart from God. We must accept by faith that Jesus died for our sins, evil, indiscretions and wrongs. Through a free act of our will (choice) we must ask Jesus to come into our lives and to live, to guide and to help us to live up to the standards that God sets forth in the Bible, His Word to a fallen race of man. How do we do this? We can do this through a simple heartfelt conversation with God.

There is a trivia game called Scene It?® in which the players answer questions about movies, TV shows, music, sports, and other topics. The game is played with the use of a DVD so that the questions appear on the TV screen. On some questions a clip from a movie or TV show is played first, and the players have guess which movie or TV show it comes from or some other question about the clip. The problem with the movie and TV editions Scene It? is that there is at least one clip that contains nudity and lewdness of the highest degree. There are also some editions of Scene It? based on specific TV and movie series which are unwholesome.

Some Christian parents allow their kids to watch movies, watch TV shows, play video games, or view websites that contain nudity, vile acts, or vulgar innuendo. They reason that if it only contains one scene or one filthy line then this can’t do a child that much harm. This is a disgusting compromise.

David said, “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes.” (Psalm 101:3)

Jesus said, “whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.” (Matthew 5:28-29)

Paul said, “For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.” (Ephesians 5:12)

James the brother of Jesus said, “Therefore get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.” (James 1:21)

Peter said, “And [God] delivered Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked, for…their unlawful deeds…vexed his righteous soul from day to day…” (II Peter 2:7-8)

Another brother of Jesus, named Jude, said, “And others save with dear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.” (Jude 1:23)

If you care about your child’s salvation, don’t buy Scene It? for them this Christmas (or ever).

If this message has made you sorry about viewing materials that are unpleasing in God’s sight, then get ready to repent (turn away from your sin) and God will not count your sin against you. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23). But to receive this gift, you must:

1. Believe that your sin offends God greatly (as the above passages indicate)
2. Believe that Jesus took your deserved punishment for that sin (Isaiah 53:12, Mark 16:16, John 3:16-18) and that God raised him from the dead (Romans 10:9-10)
3. Decide to turn away from it (Ezekiel 18:21-22, II Corinthians 7:10, James 4:8)
4. Confess that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9) and that you believe that Jesus died on the cross for your sin (Luke 12:8, Romans 5:8)
5. Be immersed in water (this is called baptism in the Bible) for the remission of your sins (Acts 2:38, Romans 6:3)

Then you will be saved and will receive the Holy Spirit. If this has happened to you, you should start reading the Bible, attending church, praying, fasting, seeking God’s will in everything, and partaking of the body of Christ (II Corinthians 11:23-34).

Pornography is to the health of the mind what the Planned Parenthood Federation of America is to the unborn child, death and destruction. Pornography perverts the mind with a false reality. It violates God’s ultimate purpose for sex and it violates basic moral principles. It causes difficulties in relationships. It destroys families. It is worthless and unnecessary.

The basic definition seems to describe our society at the present time and many individuals in it. One if the above definitions noted that "American courts have not yet settled on a satisfactory definition of what constitutes porn." However, God has settled the issue long ago. The Bible states in Paul's letter to the Thessalonians, "For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality." (3)

WHY IS PORN SO PROFITABLE?

It is a multi-billion dollar business in America and worldwide. To many people it gives them a temporary high and is cheaper than drugs. It offers a “safe” escape from reality.

WHY IS PORN SO POPULAR?

Sex sells. Removal of moral absolutes has given rise to all forms of perversion. Pornography, like homosexuality, adultery, any sex outside of traditional marriage is immorality. Soft core to hard core, it is all not good for you. Some claim we have freedom of speech. Pornography is like yelling "fire" in a crowded movie theater.

Actually, much of the movie, music, television and advertisement industries are portals to pornography. Even the education with its “comprehensive” or condom-based sex education is another point of entrance to immorality including pornography.

Why is porn so pervasive? More and more people are connected to the Internet these days. The Internet has potential for great good, but equal or greater potential for evil. In reality, the Internet is a reservoir, an efficient carrier of this virulent destructive agent, pornography. Not only secular society is involved with porn, but increasing number of bible believing true Christians are becoming addicted to it as well.

WHY IS PORN SO PERNICIOUS?

Much of this growing popularity comes from people thinking that it does not harm anyone. That is a lie. It harms the people exploited by the pornographers as well as poisoning the minds and hearts of the users of porn. It affects children, spousal relations and entire families. Like gambling, alcohol and drugs, pornography is addictive and destined to destroy its users.

It is insidious, in addition to it being addictive. It is slowly, subtly harmful and destructive. It destroys individuals and families. It robs the person from a true appreciation of God’s design and plan for people, relationships and sex.

Porn is a choice. It is a bad choice. People should be free to engage in it if they choose, but we should not sanction or make it easy.

WHY PORN CAN AND SHOULD PUMMELED

By "pummeled" I mean beaten back, restrained or constrained. At a minimum we should limit its accessibility to innocent children.

To a certain extent we should encourage and support local and community self-regulation. For example SB 16 was going to be challenged by the sex industry to insure that sex shops and strip clubs are not inhibited in any way. Well, just this evening I heard that the pro-porn lobby could not obtain signatures to place the new law on the ballot. All Ohio SB 16 wanted to do was to insist porn shops close down certain hours of the night and that customers could not physically touch (or further exploit) nude dancers.

We should build in some constraints so that children cannot have easy access to in any tax subsidized public library or in government schools. All Federal funding should be cut off to any school or library that does not use filters on their computers.

If you are involved in pornography, and we all are to a certain degree if we are actively living in American society today, seek help as you would an alcohol, drug or gambling addiction. One source of help on the Internet is the website Setting Captives Free. This site has many aides in helping people addicted to pornography.

Sex Businesses Deceptive Campaign and Why God's People Hate it

Some people don’t understand what the big deal about pornography is. They think that this is something that is completely harmless.

Sandra Theis, a lawyer for Dancers for Democracy was a guest on Lincoln Ware Live. The subject of discussion was the efforts of this group to block legislation in Ohio that would force strip clubs and adult bookstores to close by midnight and criminalize the touching of the strip club dancers by the patrons.

Ms. Theis was not the only scheduled guest for this segment of the program. Some of the actual strip club dancers were going to be on the show, but they had car trouble. (This was surely Divine intervention.) They were going to demonstrate what they thought was the ridiculous requirement of no touching. They said that if this legislation becomes law, you could get 30 days in jail for just accidentally bumping a dancer’s shoulder.

Mr. Ware and his guest argued that many of the dancers were single mothers struggling to make a living or women trying to get through college. This is an overused, short-sighted argument. Not everything that creates jobs is good, and not everything that takes away jobs is bad. In April of 2001 there was riot in downtown Cincinnati in which much property was destroyed. There were a lot of people who were employed to clean up and restore the damaged property. Was this a good thing? Whether or not something creates more net employment should be of no concern when considering legislation. The question of concern that a legislator or voter should ask is, “What is just and right?”

The organization that started this push to get this legislation passed is called Citizens for Community Values. Of course, all the players involved in this political battle know that CCV’s objective is to put out of business as many of these strip clubs as possible. The only reason why they don’t push for an outright ban on stripping and pornography is that they believe that such legislation would be more likely to be struck down by judges legislating from the bench. This type of pragmatic approach has worked well on other issues like abortion (the Alabama legislature has managed to regulate all but one Alabama abortion clinic out of business), even though outright bans are better.

The host, Mr. Ware, denied the seriousness of sexual lust, saying that pornography and strip clubs are an acceptable way for men to spice up their marriages. Not only did he deny that these things lead to worse sins, but he said he thinks there are fewer rapes when men have such a sexual outlet. He belittled Phil Barness (the CCV president) for his claims that he is an “ex-porn addict”. Mr. Barness had been a previous guest on Lincoln Ware Live, but Mr. Ware didn’t have the spine to ridicule Mr. Barness to his face on that day.

Ms. Theis argued that if someone doesn’t want to look at pornography or go to strip clubs, then they don’t have to. Why make a law? My first answer to this is that what they are advocating for is a very addictive sin. My second answer is that it is an abomination to God. How serious is this? Read the following passages:

Psalm 101:3 says, “I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.”

Galatians 6:7-8 says, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”

Matthew 5:27-29 says, “Ye have heard that it was said of them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery; But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”

Would anybody reading this dispute that if one believes in the Bible, that it would be reasonable for that person to take extreme measures to avoid such temptations?

The ACLU has in the past, forced public libraries to disable their child-safe internet filters and forced them keep filthy books on their shelves. Rather than fight this, they just pay the extra cost for the all the disinfectant they have to use clean up after all the masturbations.

When I was in school, I had to go to a public school where we forced to look at…well, let me just say photographs of just about everything—all in the name of sex education. They did not leave anything to our imaginations. They did not give us or our parents a choice about whether or not we wanted to look at it. On the deceptively named Citizens for Community Standards website it says, “It's time to restore common sense to Ohio, and it's time to tell our leaders to stop treating adults like children.” What a joke.

In light of all this, it is perfectly reasonable to expect Christians to have no qualms about forcing their morality on other people. The sickening, sexually perverted powers that be will never be satisfied with just feeding their own sexual addictions. They will force it on everyone to the bitter end.

If you agree, and you live in Ohio, here is what you can do. Don’t sign the petition being circulated by Citizens for Community Standards. (They chose this name to deceive people into thinking that they are CCV.) Vote yes on this issue if gets on the ballot (yes means this legislation goes into law). You can email Lincoln Ware and Sandra Theis and tell them to read Matthew 18:3-14 and tell them that if they don't repent, they will burn in hell.

Sexploitation, Ohio Porn Pimps To Contest CDA

The following article is based on information recently received from Citizens for Community Values (CCV). CCV was instrumental in bringing about needed regulation of the sex business in Ohio.

THE NEW LAW

On June 6 the Community Defense Act (CDA) – with its two practical regulations on all sexually oriented businesses – became the law in Ohio. According to Ohio’s constitution, a law goes into effect 60 days after it becomes law. By that provision, CDA would go into effect in late August.

Passed by an overwhelming bipartisan majority of the state's legislators, CDA, or S.B.16, places two practical, crime-preventing regulations on all peep booths, massage parlors, adult bookstores, strip bars and other sex-oriented businesses. One regulation would require all such businesses

· to close between midnight and 6:00am, the time period during which law enforcement officials testify that the crimes associated with these businesses increase.

· The other would prevent physical contact between nude or semi-nude employees of sex clubs and patrons, thereby preventing the prostitution commonly associated with strip clubs.

THE RESPONSE OF THE SEX PEDDLERS

Ohio strip clubs and other sex-oriented businesses are desperate to preserve their unregulated, immoral and ungodly business status. They seek to take unfettered advantage of the prurient interests of men. Like legalized gambling, sexually-oriented businesses ultimately will destroy degrade and dehumanize individuals, families and communities. These decadent businesses are now fighting back to kill CDA before it is even goes into effect. They apparently will employ two basic strategies.

STRATEGY ONE – PUT IT ON THE BALLOT

The deception begins! On Thursday June 7, a spokesperson for the Buckeye Association of Club Executives (BACE) announced that the organization was collecting signatures to initiate a referendum, which would block the recently enacted Community Defense Act (CDA) from becoming effective on September 4 as scheduled and instead would place the measure on the November ballot.

Upon hearing of the referendum attempt, CCV's Vice President of Public Policy, David Miller, referred to an independent statewide poll taken in May that confirmed widespread popular support for the protective measures of CDA. "They would have to be successful in completely misleading the public about this anti-crime law in order to have it voted off the books," said Miller in CCV's Thursday press release.

Miller’s words were prophetic. The deception already has begun! BACE spokesperson Sandy Theiss announced yesterday that the sex business group had created a political action committee to spearhead the referendum effort - and further announced that it would be called "Citizens for Community Standards," an obvious attempt to tie into CCV's reputation and name.

"Their signature collection effort and public campaign will make use of the take-off name in hopes of misleading people into thinking that our organization is behind their effort," said Miller.

STRATEGY TWO – JUDICIAL ACTIVISM

Additionally, immediately upon passage of CDA, a spokesperson for the strip club industry announced that the industry would challenge the law in court. The strip club attorneys will request a temporary restraining order to prevent the law from going into effect during the challenge. Then they will seek out a sympathetic District Court judge willing to "legislate from the bench" in their favor. The case will go from there to the 6th Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, which CCV says that it is confident that the court will uphold CDA . . .

CCV advices concerned citizens to "Challenge anything you see or hear in the media about CDA or S. B.16," warned Miller. "Seventy-five percent (75%) of Ohio's legislators and our governor already have signed off on the constitutionality of this bill. CDA is desperately needed to protect our communities, our families, and the women who work within this crime-ridden industry."

Sometimes I feel like I am living in the Twilight Zone or at least lost in Big Brother’s world of 1984. Each day I wake up and see the world has crept a little further leftward on the broad road leading to destruction. It is the radical leftists leading the way to such anti-Americanism and anti-God in many and varied aspects of our culture including entertainment and education. They use every means and method to push for the transformation of the democratic republic of our founders to some sort of ‘democratic’ socialist state or global utopia.

On May 13 WorldNetDaily.com reported something truly obscene in an article titled, “(Homosexual) cowboy love scenes 'traumatize' schoolgirl, 12, Family sues district for $500,000 after 'Brokeback' shown in class.” You can see here at the intersection of decadent entertainment, ‘enlightened’ education and the homosexual agenda that the student is forced to be exposed and to have to endure indoctrination to this immoral, unnatural so-called alternative lifestyle, which is embraced by such a tiny minority of American citizens. However, this moneyed minority, despite their size, is on a strident crusade to justify, rationalize and ‘legalize’ their wrong behavior at all costs. The homosexual activists and their leftist accomplices and supporters such as the teachers unions, Hollywood, radical leftist politicians, lawmakers and judges are working in a concerted effort to convert America’s children into thinking, if not embracing or actually succumbing to homosexual, lesbian, transgender or bisexual behaviors themselves.

At the same time the leftist education elite and their leftist allies work night and day to mock, to minimize, to marginalize, to remove the moral code, the Ten Commandments and all of its iterations and manifestations from American culture and life. God and Jesus have become four letter words to this crowd, which is hell-bent on leading this nation and as many of its people to hell itself. Evil is now regarded as good. Evil such as abortion (the rampant killing of babies), pornography, infidelity in marriage, and even sodomy is considered acceptable behavior and commonplace. Good such as the practice of abstinence before marriage, virtue, honesty, respect for all human life, traditional one-man, one-woman marriage and moral standards of any kind are ridiculed, mocked and even considered intolerant, hateful and ‘evil’. We sure have seen America turned upside down within the last 100 years or so.

America must now rediscover and return quickly to its moral roots which were grounded in the Judeo-Christian Bible, and the laws given by Almighty God to Moses on Mount Sinai or go the way of Greece, Rome and all the great but dead nations of the past. We must reject this evil-as-good philosophy of ‘Brokeback Mountain’ which is so promoted, prevalent and pervasive in America today. Instead, we must willingly accept and obey the good-over-evil choices expected and outlined in the law and instructions for life provided by God Himself on Mount Sinai. Make A Good Choice and reject the temptation to the easier ‘Brokeback’ climb and accept the more rewarding, more challenging, ‘Sinai’ life excursion.

Jerry Falwell was a key player in the development of the Christian conservative movement in the 1980s. Jerry Falwell was far from perfect, yet the good he did for Jesus Christ and for conservative causes such as fighting issues such as abortion, homosexual activism and pornography set the tone and drew a line in the sand in the war for the heart and soul of the American culture. Sue Lindsey wrote in an AOL news story written in the wake of Falwell's death this morning saying that he was “(d)riven into politics by the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that established (more like a manufactured, made-up misjudgment - gregjaye) the right to an abortion, Falwell founded the Moral Majority in 1979. One of the conservative lobbying group's greatest triumphs came just a year later, when Ronald Reagan was elected president.”

Falwell credited the Moral Majority with getting millions of conservative voters registered, aiding in Reagan's victory and giving Republicans control of the Senate. The Moral Majority served as a model for many conservative political action groups that followed. Lindsey quoted Falwell as having said at the time he stepped down as president of the Moral Majority in 1987, "I shudder to think where the country would be right now if the religious right had not evolved." He definitely made primarily positive impact on America. He grew tired of being a lighting rod of continuous aversion and ridicule of the mainstream media and their radical leftist comrades espousing abortion rights, homosexual rights and pornography.

CNN news anchor Candy Crowley reported that Jerry Falwell was the “Father of a movement to restore America as God’s country.” She said that he was considered to be a Visionary to conservatives and a Lucifer to liberals. President Jimmy Carter (considered to be probably one of the weakest and worst Presidents in American history) said of Falwell in 1986, “. . . in a very Christian way, as far as I am concerned he can go to hell.” Coming from the ultra-liberal President Carter this is a high endorsement, indeed.

Fellow AGC blogger Sam appreciated very much Falwell’s strong and straightforward preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation for one and all. However, he was disappointed when Falwell apologized for his correct, principled biblically-accurate comments and afterwards backing away from his words apparently because they “offended” the proponents of those evil behaviors seemingly caving to "politically correctiness".
