Will President Trump Use His SOTU Address to Apologize?

B.J. Edwards, on his Last Call Radio Show this past Saturday (1^st Hour, 2-1-2020), offers a brilliant tongue-in-cheek suggestion for President Trump to use in his Tuesday night State of the Union message:

“On the heels of the impending impeachment vote (Wednesday) and in Tuesday night’s State of the Union (SOTU) address, I think that President Trump ought to officially apologize, not just to Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, or for that matter the entire U.S. Congress. He should apologize for what he has obviously done to this country. He should start apologizing …

Ø  “For helping to restore our economy to include reducing government regulations (making it easier for businesses to compete globally and domestically).

Ø  “For calling climate change what it is, a hoax!

Ø  “For helping to restore dignity to the United States as a nation among others first for NOT apologizing for the USA as a nation (as did his immediate predecessor)

Ø  “For signing a Russian sanction bill

Ø  “For attending the 2020 March for Life in Washington, D.C., the first President to do so.

Ø  “For revealing just how corrupt and ineffective our Deep State government has become

Ø  “For calling out partisan politicians asking for justice and righteousness not only for in our Deep State but in other nations, say like Ukraine.

Ø  “For keeping CNN in business and late-night talk show hosts on the air.

Ø  “For giving U.S. citizens a sorely needed tax cut.

Ø  “For calling out the press for the sycophant and biased reporting, #FakeNews.

Ø  “For building that wall … (against all odds, objections, and obstacles of the Democrat resistance and the #NeverTrumpers every step of the way).

Ø  “For appointing a record number of conservative judges to the bench

Ø  “For increasing minorities’ opportunities in business, in education and in general.

Ø  “For calling out the church. “Where is the church?” He says.

Ø  “For giving peace a chance throughout the world and taking a leadership role in that effort.

“And finally, and most importantly he should apologize …

Ø  “For getting the citizens of America not just a tax cut, but a good look at our government, and ourselves, and how far we have fallen as a nation of by and for the people!”

I would add the following to the list of things Mr. Trump should “apologize” …

Ø  For restoring the Hyde Amendment preventing taxpayer funds from being used for abortions overseas.

Ø  For ending recruitment of gender dysphoric for our military and for ending new gender reassignment treatments and surgeries in the military.

Wow, what “terrible” job this President has done, no wonder the Democratic (Marxist Lite) Party “leadership” has pulled out all stops to block him in his every effort to Make America Great Again. They tried every dirty trick in their playbook and then some. Despite it all he has plowed ahead and has accomplished a great deal. Not everything, but an awful lot.

President Trump’s anticipated “apologies” noted above would be quite a contrast with the apologies and attitude of Mr. Obama who started his presidency by apologizing for America. Obama also told entrepreneurs and businessmen in America that they didn’t build their businesses. Obama also claimed that America would never recover its lost manufacturing.

The Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives have not done very much good for our country this year. More than ever they have shown themselves to be the party of death, disorder, deconstruction, demons and depravity.

Among the worst of their “accomplishments” in 2019 include the on-going Rep. Adam Schiff led Sham of an impeachment investigation, in which he and his Democrat colleagues are doing all they can to destroy Mr. Trump’s presidency. 

However, even worse if that is possible, the Democrat-controlled House passed the so-called, misnamed, unnecessary and thoroughly divisive Equality Act (H.R. 5).

INEQUALITY AT ITS CORE 

The New American Magazine in their November 18, 2019 edition on page 27-28 had a great summary of the Equality Act in their Freedom Index feature, which tracks the votes of U.S. House Representatives on key votes. In concluding their comments on the Equality Act the said, "We assigned plus to the nays (votes) because (the Act) would cause HARM to heterosexual children and adult, as well as THREATEN religious freedom and the right of association."

My Representative, Troy Balderson (R-OH12), voted against this malicious bill. 

Here are the rest of the comments made in the summary assessment of H.R. 5, it “would expand the definition of protected classes in federal law to include “sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI).

“Regarding (gender identity) the Equality Act explicitly states that “an individual shall not be denied access to a shared facility, including a restroom, a locker room, and a dressing room, that is in accordance with the individual’s gender identity.” That is, males, who identify as female would be able to use the public restrooms, locker rooms, and dressing rooms of the opposite sex – or vice versa.

“Moreover, the bill not only fails to include religious exceptions (e.g. allowing a church adoption agency to refuse placing children with homosexual couples), but explicitly states that the Religious Freedom Restoration Act of 1993 cannot be used as a defense against the Bill’s application.

“The House passed the Equality Act in May 17, 2019 by a vote of 231-173 …”

MY COMMENTS

If this horrific bill is ever passed by the U.S. Senate and signed by a future Democratic Socialist president (God forbid) that will be the nail in the coffin of religious liberty in this nation. It will also be a major step toward accomplishing former President Obama’s fundamental transformation of Christian America into Communist/Marxist America, the Leftist envisioned secular-humanist utopia …

It will also be a leap in the direction of a global new world order which will annex America into a worldwide “heaven on earth” as defined by future global elites, dictator or anti-Christ.

Do you love America This Much?

“I do this because I love America,” answered Kathy Boggs in answer to the question why does she conducts her monthly protest at the busy corner of Lexington-Springmill  and West 4^th Street in Ontario, Ohio. 

The Morrow County resident travels to the Mansfield area almost every month on the first Saturday of the month to show her support for the ideals that made America great, the important issues of the day and to support President Donald Trump.  This month she was joined by her mother, along with men from Richland, Crawford and Morrow counties, Bob, Jim and Greg.  Kathy held signs and the American flag and waved to passers-by.  The men held various signs.

One sign read, “Pray for President Trump, Sunday, June 2” which was a call that Franklin Graham and 250 other Christian leaders made to all Christians in America asking them to spend some time on Sunday praying for the President. The President is under extreme pressure from his many enemies including the Democrat Party, the media, Hollywood, many activist judges, Russia, China, North Korea, Iran among others.

As she was setting up her display of American flags and various signs, she had a few unexpected visitors including a woman visiting the Mansfield area for the summer. The woman hailed from the very liberal land of Washington State. She was so impressed with the positive message that she displayed that she stopped and talked with the organizer.  She also expressed an interested on helping Kathy sometime this summer.

Additionally Ms. Boggs display attracted a man, Alexander, from down under, Australia!  He was staying at a motel down the road and was planning to leave the next morning (Sunday). His request was if Kathy knew where he could find a “Make America Great Again” cap and tee shirts to take back with him to Australia. Imagine that, there are foreigners who are more patriotic than many of the passengers in cars driving by who gave protesters the middle finger, who were demonstrably unimpressed with the messages being displayed.

Is President Trump a Patriot?

AlterNet is a far-leftist website, which posted the following article yesterday (Monday), "Trump's Phony Patriotism With the Radical Roots of America the Beautiful and the Pledge of Allegiance." 

My initial response to this provocative article was:

“Which is worse, my leftist friends, "Phony Patriotism" or Being Unpatriotic?”

I received two responses, one from Hughie the Sailor, who commented: 

“That is such an emotionally charged and politically loaded term: "patriotism." Americans use it more than you claim that Canadians say "sorry". What do you mean by "patriot"?”

I then made the following comments, which were apparently censored by the website administrators, because I did not see them after I submitted them:

a person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors. 

     It seems to me that President Trump in his stated quest "To Make   America Great Again" personifies what it means to be patriotic. Mr. Trump ·       wants to put America first;·       wants to carefully and completely vet Muslims coming from Islam-inspired terrorist harboring countries;·       wants to secure our borders by building an impenetrable wall;·       wants to rebuild and strengthen our military to better defend our country;·       respects our veterans;·       rejects political correctness that has weakened our country;·       respecting the Constitution with appointment of a SCOTUS justice who is doesn't believe that it is a 'living' constitution that can be changed at the whim of the court;·       wants to control spending and minimize debt ... 

    To me this part of what it means to be patriotic.
