Pro-Life, Abolition or Something More

I have not been involved the anti-baby-murder movement very long. Like too many others, I was pretty much a bystander until David Daleiden and Sandra Merritt with the Center for Medical Progress exposed Planned Parenthood's aborted baby body parts wholesale operation in 2015 through a series of explosive videos. I have been standing outside the local abortion referral facility and participating in several anti-abortion events and protests since then.

I have observed a difference between the pro-life advocates and abolitionists approachesto ending baby-murder. I have wanted to put my thoughts down in writing for some time. Here is how I see the movements attempting to put an end to the atrocity, the holocaust called abortion.

The video below of an upcoming movie documentary has caused me to reflect seriously on this critical issue of baby killing in our present culture.

THE GOAL

Does everyone agree that the goal is to end all abortion in America?

THE STRATEGY

If so, do we settle for continuing to incrementally regulate the killing of babies saving some (Pro-Life)? Or do we insist that America completely #AbolishAbortion saving none until we see an end to all abortion (Abolition)?

WHO'S RIGHT?

Is it either Pro-Life or Abolition, or can it be both, all the above?

How do completely abolish abortion in our present environment with little or no strong, active, aggressive legislative, judicial or even church leadership or support?

UNITY

Is unity a possible solution or a major component or step toward achieving an end to abortion?

Can someone unify both the genuine pro-life warriors and the adamant abolitionist for the good of all the pre-born human beings? Who can unify or jump start a true a save-the-human-baby movement?

PRAYER

Prayer is part  the solution. Are we praying? What is our prayer? How are we praying? When are we praying, only during spring and fall 40 Days for Life campaigns or during the annual March for Life event?

Are we praying effectively and earnestly enough (James 5:16)? Are we praying persistently enough (Luke 18:3)? Are we paying unceasingly (1 Thessalonians 5:17)?

Obviously not, abortion is still widespread and there is disunity in the ranks of the movements!

PROTEST

How do we protest? Mercifully or lovingly with not wanting to offend or hurt the feelings or damage the psyche of the woman seeking abortion information, pills or procedure? Hoping that love will penetrate her cold, dead heart?

Or do we protest truthfully with signs and words that show and tell the gruesome fact that abortion decapitates, dismembers, causes pain and eventually murders an actual living human being made in the image of God? Hoping passers-by will get the message and convert to a abolitionist viewpoint?  As well as hoping that truth will penetrate the cold dead heart of the abortion-minded woman who is either being coerced or who chooses to kill her baby.

The mercy-oriented protestor sees the truth-oriented protestors as cold, cruel, heartless, harmful, hateful, unkind, unloving and merciless and therefore wrong and ineffective.

On the other hand, the truth-oriented protestor sees the mercy-oriented protestor as weak, compromising, cowardly, deceived, fearful, inactive, misguided and therefore wrong and ineffective.

Who’s right?

PUBLIC

Meanwhile much of the public, if not ignoring the issue, it sits back and does not know what to make of the absent church which is itself apathetic at best and apostate at worst when it come to the issue of murder of the pre-born human beings.

The public education is skewed toward a pro-abortion, sex without consequences, women’s “reproductive rights” position. So, we wonder why abortion is so popular?

The mainstream media refuses to honestly report both sides of the abortion issue, underreporting any positive save-the-human-baby stories or developments such as the annual March for Life, but glorifying the sketching feminists attending the Women’s March for "Reproductive Rights."

Hollywood glamorizes abortion, and sex without consequences. It mocks fatherhood, motherhood and family.

POLITICS OVER PRINCIPLE

Why do we keep electing politicians who say they are pro-life, but once elected do next to nothing until they declare their pro-life support again the next election cycle. That cycle has been repeating for 46 years.

CONCLUSION

Here is what we can do, do all we can and let God use our humble but wholehearted good works.

·         effective, fervent, persistent unceasing and targeted prayer especially for strong leadership to immerge that will unify a save-the-human-baby movement;

·         educate oneself and one’s community in getting a save-the-human-baby message out by raising awareness by regular presence outside abortion facilities and even churches and government offices;

·         sacrificial support of worthy organizations and leaders in the save-the-human-baby movement whatever and whoever that may be as a result of your in-depth personal research;

·         identifying proven leaders and political candidates who will truly support the save-the-human-baby movement beyond lip service, then voting for, working to get them re-elected/elected and holding them to the fire, and supporting them financially and prayerfully.

New Ohio Life Coalition Introduced

NEW OHIO LIFE COALITION INTRODUCED
Group formed to press for no compromise for abortion

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MARCH 10, 2017
CONTACT:  Ed Sitter, President (419) 353-1977

CLEVELAND-Citing the need for a new strategy for pro-life victory and for a commitment to integrity, a coalition of metropolitan and regional pro-life organizations announced the formation of the Right to Life Action Coalition of Ohio, Inc.,  (RTLACO) as a new association of pro-life membership organizations in the state.

RTLACO focuses on developing and strengthening local grass roots pro-life leadership, true representative governing for the statewide organization, a commitment to a consistent, holistic pro-life standard to evaluate both policies and elected officials/candidates, and collaborative engagement to develop priorities for action. A press conference announcing the new group was held during the 2017 Bringing America Back to Life Convention, hosted by Cleveland Right to Life. This world class educational conference will become the RTLACO annual membership meeting.

"Over the last several years it has become increasingly obvious that the pro-life community in Ohio needs a new voice to champion the Right to Life movement" stated Ed Sitter of Greater Toledo Right to Life, the President of the new organization. "It is time that we embrace a governance model and strategy for victory for the 21st Century. We are going to put the roots in Ohio's pro-life grassroots movement."

Sitter also noted "to have an effective and vibrant statewide pro-life organization it must be genuinely grassroots in its DNA, a bottom-up movement similar to how our Founders envisioned the governance of our great nation." The coalition structure shows it will operate with a Board of Delegates, an Executive committee, a Legislative steering committee and a political action panel that each will be tasked with ensuring true statewide representation and coordinating on holding to a no-exceptions standard for both policy and candidate engagement.

Paula Westwood, executive director of Right to Life of Greater Cincinnati, also a member of RTLACO, commented:  "Last year, our coalition became aware of a pro-euthanasia group, so-called Compassion and Choices, targeting Ohio to legalize assisted suicide, along with an attempt to enshrine in law a suspect end of life form called Medical Orders for Life Sustaining Treatment (MOLST). We united over 35 Ohio pro-life groups and successfully stopped the MOLST bill and ensured that the legislature added class 3 felony penalties to existing sanctions against assisted suicide."

Sitter agrees. "The MOLST issue is a classic example of the value of having a legislative steering committee. This group of individuals from around the state will look beyond the headlines to see the underlying content. We will understand why we would or would not support a specific piece of legislation and then in turn communicate that understanding to those we represent before taking a position."

Some of the organization's key priorities and principles were put forth by member groups during the announcement. Paul Coudron, executive director of Dayton Right to Life, and Margie Christie, assistant director, spoke to the reasons why RTLACO is holding to a "no-exceptions" position in defending life and promoting policies, and also why support for religious liberty protections for people of faith will help ensure the continuation of pro-life efforts to end abortion. Coudron put forth that "if we leave any unborn child to the tender mercies of the abortionist's blade or forceps, or support politicians who believe a baby's value is dependent upon the circumstances of its conception, we have lost the right to continue to call ourselves 'pro-life'; we have become 'pro-regulation', which is just saying 'pro-abortion-but-in-fewer-circumstances'."

Molly Smith, President of Cleveland Right to Life and a board member of the coalition group, was one of the first in Ohio to expand the mission statement of a pro-life organization to include a defense of traditional man-woman marriage. She noted that standing on core principles will be a hallmark of the new organization: "It is vital that every organization that is part of this coalition is in unity on the core pro-life beliefs and family values. The pro-life grassroots in Ohio stand in solidarity on these principles. We recognize that we may take various views on timing and strategy, but our foundations must be solid and communicated clearly and effectively to our policymakers and others."

The Right to Life Action Coalition of Ohio is currently in the process of developing programs and support structures for member groups. Their board has engaged a legislative consultant to advance their initial policy priorities, and is planning strategies to help grow and empower local organizations within the Coalition. Ed Sitter closed by saying "We want to help be the catalyst that helps every local pro-life group in Ohio achieve their maximum effectiveness in the communities they serve, and to train and develop the next generation of pro-life leaders who stand uncompromisingly for the intrinsic value of life."

Cleveland Right to Life Mission
MISSION STATEMENT
WE believe that all human beings are made in the image of the Creator and must be respected and protected from the moment of conception until natural death. We know to be true that human rights begin when human life begins, as affirmed in the Declaration of Independence.  So as to foster a culture of life we promote and defend the right to life of all innocent human beings and reject such practices as abortion, euthanasia, infanticide, and same-sex marriage that are contrary to "the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God".  We represent pro-life citizens from over 8 counties in the region, making our organization one of the largest pro-life organizations in the State of Ohio. We focus our efforts first and foremost at the local level to achieve local solutions and then cooperate with the state and national pro-life efforts as directed and needed.

It’s a Baby

It’s a Baby

Life begins at conception. “A person is a person no matter how small” is an axiom. The denial of this fact is the biggest lie that the pro-abortion, anti-life crowd promulgates. Many times the blatant refusal to accept this scientific fact gives anti-lifers the right to ignore or cover-up the consequences of their selfishness and immorality.

There is a varied group of pro-lifers that is holding a 40 day vigil at the local abortion referral facility that began September 28th. These peaceful volunteers stand up for the unborn. Why are they doing this?  They do so because unborn lives matter, just as all lives matter. According to the Judeo-Christian Bible the Creator knew each of us and formed us even before we were in our mother’s womb…

40 Days for Life is a national and international undertaking held twice a year, each spring and fall. 2016 was the first year that this campaign has come to North Central Ohio/Mansfield. The three main components of this and of every 270 other locations that are occurring across America are: Prayer and Fasting, Community Outreach and a Peaceful Vigil. The peaceful vigil is carried out daily between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. at the local abortion-referring facility. People hold signs, pray, encourage each other and the surrounding community with the purpose of bringing an end to the abortion atrocity.

“Abortion is healthcare,” vehemently cry the anti-lifers. Far from it! They claim that the fictitious so-called “reproductive rights” take precedence over the right to life of the person growing in the mother’s womb.”  This, too, is a lie, a denial of the humanity of the child, a gross violation of the civil rights, dignity and personhood of the child.

The 40 Days for Life campaign ends on Sunday, November 6 and there is still time for pro-life supporters and pro-life activist to join the peaceful vigil. Visit the Mansfield, Ohio location on https://40daysforlife.com/ for more information.

It is critical that every registered voter consider carefully the life issue when voting this year in the November 8th General Election. The party platforms give a major clue as to who will support life and who will continue the intolerable expansion of the death culture which has been occurring in recent years.

Sanctity of Life Sunday 2016, Mansfield, Ohio

A group of hearty souls marched Sunday afternoon to the downtown square in Mansfield, Ohio to mark the tragic 43th Anniversary of the unfathomably wicked United States Supreme Court decision, Roe v. Wade. That decision singlehandedly "legalized" the mass murder of babies throughout the United States. Allowing abortion-on-demand can only be called an American atrocity, a holocaust. What it means is that nearly 60 million American lives were prematurely terminated since that dreaded edict. Innocent lives condemned to death before they had a chance at life.

If those facts weren't chilling enough, the temperature at the event was around 19 degrees, but with the wind chill factored in, it was maybe 12 degrees. The main speaker, who drove in from Toledo, thankfully abbreviated his message so that the crowd would survive to march again.

Here are a few of the signs on display at the Gazebo on the Square in downtown Mansfield:

Here's What Feckless Unprincipled Leadership Looks Like

IGNORING THE OUTRAGE

U.S. Senate Majority "Leader" Senator Mitch McConnell (RINO-KY) is ignoring the outrage of both Pro-Life and Pro-Abortion individuals around the nation, who were both concerned about the recent investigative reports about the variety of Planned ParentHOOD exposed atrocities. Or maybe he is willfully blinded to the inhumanity, the horror, the misbehavior, the wanton evil that is Planned ParentHOOD. This evening he joined with radical defenders of the indefensible, the likes of Senator Sherrod Brown (Radical Liberal-OH) and voted NO on the defunding  of Planned ParentHOOD.

The final vote was 53 YES and 46 NO. The bill needed 60 votes to pass.

OUT OF TOUCH, OR JUST TOUCHED

This vote seems to me to be just another indication that both the Senate and the House need new GOP leadership. The current GOP "leadership" is less than ineffective. They continue to drop the ball on seemingly every issue that conservatives and Republicans fought so hard for in recent elections to gain majority status. Looking purely at the results since the GOP has gained control of both houses of Congress, San Fran Nancy Pelosi and Dirty Harry Reid still are very much in charge and call all the shots, forwarding the President's destructive progressive agenda.

picture from epicgopfail twitter profile

NOTHING HAS CHANGED

We still have fully-funded and expanding ObamaCare. The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act wallows in the Senate. John Boehner dismissed the House for an much undeserved summer recess before addressing the defunding of the lawless and inhumane Planned Parenthood chamber of horrors. Same with the Senate, where McConnell apparently wanted to avoid confrontation by attaching an amendment to defund Planned Parenthood to the must-pass highway bill and allowed a nearly meaningless stand-alone bill to defund Planned ParentHOOD. This is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

The rallying cry of the GOP seems to be, "Keep the status quo at whatever it costs." The cost may be money or principle.

A Civil Right Issue: Abortion and Black Genocide

Hat tip goes to Chris (@Chris_1791) for his recent tweet. Abortion is the biggest killer of black children in the United States. It is not gangs, disease, or abuse that kills the most black babies, it is abortion! Afterall, Abortion is an American Holocaust, an American Atrocity.

2014 Election: Planned Parenthood Agenda Rejected by Voters

Hat tip goes to the American Life League (ALL) for collecting the above video montage of failed Planned Parenthood Federation of America (your hometown human exterminators) backed and endorsed politicians in the 2014 Midterm Elections.  What has been the public response to Planned Parenthood's political agenda? No, no, no ... No to Pro-Death.

One of the biggest losers in the election was Wendy, who will always be remembered as "Abortion Barbie," Davis who was stopped and stomped by "cripple" and Governor-elect Greg Abbott. I saw a headline that Barbie blames Ebola for her defeat. Could it be your radical pro-death stand, Barbie?

Katha Pollitt New Book PROmotes Abortion!

PRO-Death: The PROgressive PROmotion of Abortion

It has been a while since I read and responded to an AlterNet.org article. Well today an article about a new book, "Katha Pollitt: Ending a Pregnancy Is a Common, Normal Event in Women's Lives—Let's Talk About It That Way ...We need to see abortion as an urgent practical decision that is just as moral as the decision to have a child," raised by ire. You can see by the title of the article why it might offend a pro-life person. There can be no justification whatsoever for most abortions. However, the progressives treat abortion as a sacred sacrament, a rite. See my comments below. First to the article itself, and second to a commenter who claimed that "Abortion is green." What foolishness.

The author, Katha Pollitt, claims, "We need to talk about ending a pregnancy as a common, even normal, event in the reproductive lives of women..." Say what?

Is it???

No matter how you say it or dress it up by calling it .... "choice" ... "ending a pregnancy" ... "terminating a pregnancy" ... "a reproductive right" ... the fact is that heinous act is still an abortion. It is still murder. It is not normal. Actually abortion is one of the most, if not the most cruel, vile, and inhumane act one human being can commit on another human being. It rivals only the beheading of post-born human beings who refuse to submit to Islamic statist or terrorist ultimatums!

Taking the life of an innocent, defenseless unborn baby may be common, but only because a few ill informed activist judges invented a so-called "right" that is found no where in the U. S. Constitution.

Is it normal? is child abuse, normal? Is rape, normal? Is murder, normal? is theft normal? No, abortion is the unnatural taking of life of a human being prior to birth.

This new book, PRO: Reclaiming Abortion Rights, described in this article is more of the same lies that emanate from the minds and hearts of deceived, if not cold-blooded, heartless, progressives.

AND

No, my friend, ABORTION IS RED. Red for the blood of an innocent life spilled usually for selfish reasons!

AND

Robbie, my argument is not whining it is winning. With abortion, we are talking about a matter of life and death. You were once a pre-born (fetus, clump of tissues, or whatever else you want to call the unborn) human being.

Unborn Child Replayed (1974-2014)

JI Spear, a Facebook friend, posted a link on my timeline to the old Seals and Croft song. "Unborn Child" was written in 1974. That was  the year after the infamous, tragic, and fatal [for millions of babies, that is] Roe v. Wade decision. That flawed and fabricated decision resulted in the legalized murder of millions upon millions of pre-born human beings.

I don't remember ever hearing that song. It contains from very heavy and powerful lyrics, which are just as pertinent and just as controversial today (or more so) as when they were first written and recorded ...

The actual lyrics to the YouTube song follow below.

Seals and Crofts' "Unborn Child"

(Lyrics by Lana Bogan; music by James Seals, 1974)

Oh little baby, you'll never cry, nor will you hear a sweet lullabye.

Oh unborn child, if you only knew just what your momma was plannin' to do.
You're still a-clingin' to the tree of life, but soon you'll be cut off before you get ripe.
Oh unborn child, beginning to grow inside your momma, but you'll never know.
Oh tiny bud, that grows in the womb, only to be crushed before you can bloom.

Mama stop! Turn around, go back, think it over.
Now stop, turn around, go back, think it over.
Stop, turn around, go back think it over.

Oh no momma, just let it be. You'll never regret it, just wait and see.
Think of all the great ones who gave everything
That we might have life here, so please bear the pain.

Mama stop! Turn around, go back, think it over.
Now stop, turn around, go back, think it over.
Stop, turn around, go back think it over

The Illogic of Abortion Proponents on the 41st Anniversary of Roe v. Wade

Today is the eve of the 41st anniversary of the notorious and atrocious Roe v. Wade U.S. Supreme Court decision. It was and is a terribly flawed and fatal decision for millions of babies and many women.  It has resulted in an on-going American Atrocity.

Here is an illustration I came across on twitter the other day that depicts exactly the issue of life and death!

A Pro-life Prayer for Thanksgiving Day

From the Desk of Fr. Frank Pavone

National Director, Priests for Life

Father of mercies,
God of all creation,
Source of life and of every blessing,
We thank you today, and every day of our lives,
For all that you give us!

Our thanksgiving is not only a duty,
But a joy and a source of strength,
Because it reminds us of your faithful love,
And inspires us with the hope of a future filled with blessings!

Lord, we thank you for guiding our fathers,
Who, inspired by the prophets
And by the saving work of your Son,
Founded a nation where all might live as one,
Acknowledging their dependence on you
As the source of their right to life.

We thank you for your blessings in the past,
And for all that, with your help, we must yet achieve.

We ask you to bless us as we thank you,
That our giving thanks may be accompanied by our firm resolve
To proclaim, celebrate, and serve
The gift of human life, born and unborn.

We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Does the Mother's Severe Illness Justify Aborting Her Baby?

by Dr. Patrick Johnston

I grieve when I look at the lawless, immoral, unconstitutional fake pro-life bills that are being pushed in Texas and in other states. It is so discouraging to see the thousands of earnest pro-life Christians rallying for a feel-good bill that doesn't really protect children. As Tom Hoefling said, "When evil has a phony fight with evil, and good doesn't show up on the field, evil wins, every time."

What's wrong with the Texas "20 week" bill? Itcreates a new class of sub-humans who may be destroyed; namely, those who they claim cannot "feel pain." The bill also justifies abortion in cases of rape, whether the baby feels pain or not. Moreover, the bill contains language which nullifies itself if its restrictions are found to impose an "undue burden" or "substantial obstacle" in the path of any woman in her attempt to abort her baby. It's almost as if abortionists wrote a bill and tricked pro-lifers into supporting it.

April's edition of Answers magazine, which is produced by the Christian ministry Answers in Genesis and Ken Ham, highlights an article written by AIG author Dr. Tommy Mitchell that justifies abortion in a case of maternal health. He gives the example of a pregnant woman with leukemia who requires immediate chemotherapy. The chemotherapy may likely kill the baby, he argues, so the abortion is justified.
In spite of being presented with evidence of scientific studies showing that chemotherapy is "relatively safe" for preborn children and not as dangerous as once thought, they have held their ground and refuse to budge on their justification for the killing of some babies.
In a face to face meeting early this year, AIG leaders also justified abortion in cases of HELLP syndrome. While speaking at a homeschool convention this summer, I had the honor of meeting Darren and Michelle Blough, and their two beautiful children Moriyah and Nathaniel, both of whom were born in spite of HELLP syndrome. Babies can survive it! You don't have to kill babies to save their mothers!
The Blough family
With the second pregnancy, Michelle also had eclampsia, and kidney failure. She was on dialysis and had a dozen units of blood. She was intubated. What would have saved the mother's life, according to the physicians? "Terminating the pregnancy," of course. I thank God that they listened to the voice of conscience and God's Word, and not the voice of godless physicians who think it's okay to sometimes kill helpless babies.
A baby AIG justified killing
Moriyah, a baby that Answers in Genesis leaders justify aborting
As the Blough family's testimony shows, killing babies isn't good healthcare after all. And it's not good pro-life policy either, for it abandons God's blessing for a bill the devil could "Amen," and perpetuates the abortion holocaust.
A more thorough refutation of AIG's position on justify abortion in cases of maternal health, see my article "With the Compromise of Answers in Genesis, a Giant Has Fallen."

What Does the Bible Say About Abortion?

There have been a lot of comments to the radical leftist Alternet.org article, There's Nothing About Abortion in the Bible -- So How Do Right-Wing Christians Justify Their Crusade Against Women? The modern religious right is trying to bring back the Bible's teaching that women are inferior and should be the possessions of men.” I joined the ‘discussion’ and here is one of my comments:

The person growing inside of the pregnant woman IS a person. A person is a person no matter how small! Deny the truth if you will, but truth if accepted and acknowledged, will set you free...

Early on during his or her life the baby feels pain, it responds to stimuli, it moves, it feels. How do you know he does not perceive his environment? How do you know it is not learning? How do you know it is not hearing? What makes you think that it is not conscious?

Actually as every human being, including the pre-born child has a fallen nature. It is prone to evil once it arrives in the world and is mature enough to choose good or evil. The baby is innocent from the standpoint that it has never been given the opportunity to choose good or evil. Also in a rape the pre-born baby is clearly the victim of a crime. It is the perpetrator of the crime whose life should be taken, not the child who has never had any opportunity to make good or bad choices...

It is ludicrous to compare a baby with a kidney or any body part! You deny reality and truth and science when you refuse to acknowledge that the pre-born baby is a unique person, a dependent human being! There are three people involved in a pregnancy, the father, the mother and the baby...

Right now there is no punishment for having an abortion. The depraved and bigoted SCOTUS took upon itself the role of God when it ruled to make the immoral, godless, decision to allow abortion.

The punishment women get now - in more cases than the Left is willing to admit - by merely getting an abortion is a life of remorse, possible physical problems like infertility, guilt, emptiness, depression… This in and of itself is punishment. But the abortion industry like the Planned Parenthood Federation of America regrettably hide the facts of the negative aspects of abortion from the mothers in order to fill their blood stained coffers... that is reality...Wake Up America...
