A (Tony) Snow Storm

Last night I attended an event at which Presidential Press Secretary Tony Snow was originally to have spoken. However, he had had to cancel his appearance due to a conflict in his boss’ schedule. As you probably know, Mr. Snow was in the hospital Monday having cancer surgery. His substitute, author and evangelical Christian conservative radio talk show host, Janet Parshall more than adequately filled in for him. She even began her presentation with a prayer for Tony Snow, who is a friend of hers.

Janet Parshall spoke in Cincinnati last night to a group of supporters of Citizens for Community Values (CCV)
. Her speech commented upon CCV”s primary areas of mission focus. As I was driving home from this event, I picked up the Laura Ingram radio talk show on WABC 770 AM out of New York City. She was talking about Tony Snow as well. She mentioned several times that Mr. Snow was at the top of her prayer list. Laura Ingram, herself, had battled cancer in recent years and has great empathy with anyone struggling to survive cancer.

Contrast the approach or reaction of these two women as well as many other compassionate Americans to that of the radical leftist as portrayed in a WorldNetDaily.com news item reported today. The story is titled, “FATAL INSTINCT Left spews deadly venom over Tony Snow's cancer, 'He is pure lying scum and should die ASAP!'” The article describes some of the vicious and brutal comments made on some left wing bloggers on the internet. I think that these comments are the heart expressed or unexpressed feelings of many on the far left. Their hatred for the President and his Administration runs deep and is merciless.

Interestingly, Janet Parshall, was herself the subject of a OneNewsNow.com news article by Jim Brown. He writes, “Christian radio talk-show host Janet Parshall, a high-profile American evangelical known for her strong support of Israel, has dropped out of a Jerusalem conference sponsored by a Christian caucus of the Israeli Parliament. Parshall says she decided not to speak at the conference after she learned that the Knesset Christian Allies Caucus "condemns" and does not associate with groups that share the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
