Their Agenda Assaults American Values
This article, in part is a response to Deniselle’s comment to my article yesterday, she writes “. . . maybe you should explain HOW exactly homosexual marriages threaten the marriages between men and women, and what this "homosexual agenda" might be. I'm in a lesbian relationship . . . The only thing I want, and I'm sure I'm speaking for most homosexuals here, is to be accepted the way I am. This goal in no way contradicts heterosexual marriages, unless the heterosexual marriage is based on the premise of destroying others' possibilities to marry.”
Well, Deniselle, here goes.
“Spurred by self-assertive activists and aided by the liberal establishment, homosexuals have created a movement that may be more influential and more aggressive than anything this nation has ever seen,” writes Ed Vitagliano in the July 2007 issue of the American Family Association Journal (www.afajournal.org). He is right. This masterful manipulative moneyed minority is successfully and aggressively attacking some of America’s most basic core cultural values – one man, one woman traditional marriage and the natural family unit, common decency and is doing so relentlessly.
ASSERTING HOMOSEXUALITY IS NO LONGER ABNORMAL
A very keystone event on the road toward their ultimate justification of their very unhealthy, immoral, unnatural and abnormal lifestyle and behavior was the coup they pulled off when they got the American Psychiatric Association to arbitrarily declare that homosexuality is no longer a mental disorder, therefore is no longer abnormal. One day it is abnormal, then presto, Abbra Cadabbra!!!!, normal! Wow, great balls of fire, what a miracle. This was the beginning of the downward spiral descending toward the incremental destruction of our once great nation.
THE LIE: HOMOSEXUALITY IS GENETIC
Building on the lie that homosexuality is not abnormal, social “junk scientists” and homosexual activists advanced the notion that homosexuality is genetic and began the frantic search for a non-existent gene. No, they will never find it. Homosexuality is due to a large extent on environmental upbringing and possible abuse by a trusted relative, family friend, teacher, a neighbor, clergy or a peer. Perhaps the child had an encounter with a pedophile or other sexual predators. Furthermore, another key component is choice. Individuals ultimately choose how they will behave. Homosexuals, adulterers or thieves can all change their behavior. Additionally, homosexuals cannot reproduce so they must recruit to “breed.”
UNEQUIVOCAL ACCEPTANCE
Vitagliano asks, “So what is it that homosexual activists want from society? Simply put, the overarching goal of the (homosexual) movement is to obtain society’s approval of homosexuality.” They don’t merely want to be tolerated. Perhaps to be tolerated may have been the first phase of their strategy. However now they want it all. They want approval, total acceptance of their perverse lifestyle and immoral behavior. This goes beyond what Deniselle longing to be “accepted for who I am.” I can love and accept you as a human being, but I do not have to condone or approve your behavior. Your behavior remain reprehensible. We can accept every individual as precious in God’s sight, but we should never accept or condone immoral, unnatural and unhealthy behavior.
Tomorrow we will conclude this article with a discussion of so-called "hate crime", the attempt to redefine marriage, child indoctrination in the homosexual lifestyle, etc., all of which are a part of the homosexual agenda.
