Koran Burning Made Simple

I wish we could find a way to hold people accountable. Free speech is a great idea, but we’re in a war. During World War II, we had limits on what you could say if it would inspire the enemy. So, burning a Koran is a terrible thing but it doesn’t justify killing someone. Burning a Bible would be a terrible thing but it doesn’t justify murder. Having said that, anytime we can push back here in America against actions like this that put our troops at risk we should do it, and I look forward to working with Senators Kerry, and Reid, and others to condemn this, condemn violence all over the world based on the name of religion…”
---- Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-NC), On CBS’s Face the Nation, April 3, 2011

Here is an excerpt from one passionate and patriotic woman’s response to Sen. Graham’s liberty-restricting, enemy-appeasing comments on the burning of the Koran by the Florida pastor:

“This is why we are burning the Koran. Because it is the manifesto of an evil totalitarian political system! And it enslaves human beings in a culture of
·                    misery,
·                    hopelessness,
·                    perversion,
·                    despair,
·                    true violence and
·                    unnatural death.
And if you weren’t such a monumental jackass, Sen. Graham, and didn’t spend all your time kissing the ass of the very political system that would cut your throat in a heartbeat maybe you would understand that.”
---- Ann Barnhardt, April 3, 2011 from a YouTube video response to Sen. Graham
