Reaganomics and Obamanomics Contrasted

I saw this tweet just now which says it all. President Barack Obama's economic policies (or lack of policies) are driving America to ruin as cleverly demonstrated in this Senator Ted Cruz's tweet:

The Transformers: Reagan & Soetoro/Obama

Christopher Ruddy in this month’s NewsMax Magazine article, “A Portrait of Ronald Reagan (page 110, February 2011),” compares two transformational Presidents, Ronald Reagan and Barry Soetoro alias Barack Obama. Ruddy writes, “‘(T)ransformational’ was the word Barack Obama used to describe Reagan during Obama’s tough 2008 primary against Hillary Clinton.

Obama … simply was describing the influence Reagan had in shaping the nation and our culture.

Obama said he too intended to become a transformational president. So far he is living up to his promise – though doing exactly the opposite of Reagan’s approach. Obama is pressing

·                    more government,
·                    more regulation and control over our lives and
·                    more taxes

-- and focusing less on national security.”

The Problem, a rap song by the Young Cons

Rap with a conservative soul, that's the Young Cons. They have produced some great words and music. See my previous posts of their great music here and here.

“Government is NOT the solution to our problem, government IS the PROBLEM!” --- Ronald W. Reagan

The Problem

Serious C:
I’m a dream chaser, fighting tax raisers
Conservative blood runs deep in my nature,
Every bone in my body, every ounce of my being
I’m New England bred, don’t trend on me.
I’m Christian insistin’ my existence was instant.
I dismiss the miss hits of Lib’s lips.
I spit sense against the misfits who diss this.
Too many collectivists, not enough capitalists.
America... it’s here we are free man.
I cover my ears to Will Ferrell, Matt Demon (Damon)
I’m steaming angry, rope (Hope) and chains (Change) didn’t grab me.
If you see Van Jones, tell him good luck with his theories.

Stiltz:
Let’s set the record straight, I’m no Mr. Mathers
I rap about politics and stuff that matters.
Nanny state or free world, I’ll take the ladder.
Success ain’t served on a silver platter.
To all the Young Cons it’s no time to retreat
Conservatives are hungry, eat the RINO meat
The people called shotty (Shotgun), mothership takes the backseat
With the czar freaks, tax cheats, all tricks and no treats.
Uh oh! Too slow. There goes Marco Rubio.
Makin’ moves all the way straight to the Senate floor.
House passed a bill supposedly for health,
Sounds like distribution of wealth, lackin’ stealth.
If you want to opt out and give them a no way,
You’ll end up in handcuffs with no pay someday.
No other options that street is a one way

Serious C:
There’s no conservative mind as conservative as mine.
Too many Michael Moores, not enough Mark Steyns
I don’t worship trees, I don’t bow enemies
I hate media awfuls and ACORN brothels.
Listen... I don’t live for any man
You can live for yourself and through your own hand.
Don’t bow to Japan or the Saudi plan
Can’t nobody top us, a Young Con conscience.
Yes, we love God, but he loved us first.
Our hearts beat 30 weeks before birth.
I’m serious... when I choose to say,
“You can be great you were born this way.”
Yo... I trade my soul for nothin’
Stimulus please just show me somethin’
“Fight the good fight” is the psalm on my mind
I’m a love spreading, go getting, flow spitting Young Con.

Stiltz:
Pimps need a house, ACORN can acquire
Client number 9, probably ain’t retired.
I crave socialist blood, they call me a vampire
Van Jones is the truther and Joe Wilson knows the liar.
Weak sauce stimulus brought jobs to an end.
It was an epic fail so they did it again.
We see the facts thanks to Michelle Malkin
We spot the posers in this “Culture of Corruption”
Prayers go out to the fams at Fort Hood.
It should be understood, shout-outs are no good.
It’s time to be an activist, fight the fascists
Stick up for the poorest by being down with the capitalist.
Pandering politicians need to leave us alone,
We the People are the boss and this year we send them home.
Lieutenant (Colonel) Allen West got some serious backbone
He’s healthy for our troops, but he’s sick on that microphone.

Voice of Liberty Versus Voices of Tyranny

Who Are You Listening To?

Here is a video which I heard the audio portion on several radio shows recently. It is a powerful contrast of right and wrong, right versus left, Conservative versuses Liberal or Progressive. It shows, as the video description says, “President Ronald Reagan reminding us that the out-of-touch voices of the Democrat Party don't speak for all Americans.

There are a lot of Republicans, too, that are out-of-touch voices like John McCain.

Fire Congre$$ in 2010 and the Pre$ident in 2012 if not sooner!

Mike Reagan calls Democrats ‘Termites’

Ronald Reagan’s son, Mike, spoke at the ‘Hope for America’ Tea Party Rally in Mansfield, Ohio last Thursday, April 15 at Mansfield Senior High School before 850 people. Here is a video from a local TV station.

.

“The people that we disagree with (Liberals, Democrats), if you can look at them as TERMITES … they are working 24 hours a day eating away at the very foundations of this nation.”

The Corrupting Influence of Power on the Current Government

Quote Unquote

President Reagan must have had the current Soetoro a/k/a Obama Administration and the 111th Congress in mind when he made the following statement:

This principle that President Reagan enumerated is one of the main themes of the growing Tea Party Movement spreading like wildfire throughout the U.S.A.!

Is that Ronald Reagan wearing a dress?

I recently visited a website new to me, www.RegularFolksUnited.com, and came across an article written by Lori Roman, a regular writer for that website. In her article, “Regular Folks Want to Know...How do we get back to Reagan Conservatism?” In that article recorded an interview that she recently had with Michael Reagan, son of the former President.

She asked Michael: “Your dad was plain spoken and his critics tried to associate that with being simple-minded. Sarah Palin is plain- spoken and her critics also call her simple-minded. What do you think about the comparisons?” His answer surprised me:

“A lot of people are looking for Ronald Reagan and little did they know he came back in a dress with five kids . . .”

The Ten Commandments & the U.S. Congress

"I have wondered at times about what the Ten Commandments would have looked like if Moses had run them through the U.S. Congress."

- - - President Ronald Reagan

First, the Ten Commandments would be carved in (government surplus) butter, instead of stone. Next, Commandments #1 - #5 would have to go since they violate the imaginary "separation of church and state," which really is separating God from the state. Furthermore, you can say goodbye to #7 since Abortion according to Roe v. Wade does not permit us to prohibit killing. More than likely none of the 10 would pass through the Congress. If any made it through intact, then the "American" Civil "Liberty" Union (ACLU) file a lawsuit to demand that the United States Supreme Court overturn any that did.

McCain and Conservatism

I signed the Contract with Conservatives petition today. It is a concise and clear presentation of the key tenants of conservatism. Below is the preamble or introductory statement to the “Contract.” It can be found GOPUSA.com website.
.

.

Supporting the Contract with Conservatives

“The party of Ronald Reagan -- a collection of social and fiscal conservatives -- saw all their work come together with the Republican Revolution of 1994. Republicans came to power through their dedication to core, conservative principles.

“Since that time, the conservative base has seen the Republican Party go astray. From runaway spending, to big government programs, to assaults on our First Amendment rights to amnesty for illegal aliens, conservatives have become disheartened, and the time has come for dramatic change.

“America can thrive under conservative leadership and government. The Republican Party is best equipped to deliver this kind of leadership, but too often, it has not. The time has come when conservative voters can no longer be taken for granted. Conservatives need something more than simple assurances. For our time, effort, money, and votes, we need a pledge. We need a pledge from our presidential nominee to uphold the core Republican values that built this party, and which have taken a backseat to politics in recent years.

“The Contract with Conservatives is that pledge. It is a pledge to uphold the major conservative ideals that have been pushed aside over the past decade.

“We, the undersigned, will support our presidential nominee and other candidates for high office, only if they uphold the Contract with Conservatives.

“It is time to get back to basics. The conservative base will work for candidates who pledge to uphold conservative values.”

Here is an outline of the “basics” as outlined in the Contract with Conservatives. You can find the entire document here.

Immigration Reform
Tax Reform
Size and Scope of Federal Government
Judges
Life
Free Speech

.

Of course the two very liberal Democrat candidates Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham-Clinton reject outright all the provisions of the Contract with Conservatives. Unfortunately, Senator John McCain as revealed by his record and not his election year rhetoric is on the opposite side of at least half of the named provisions (immigration reform, judges and free speech).

Until such time that Senator McCain clearly states that he will be supportive of all of the basic provisions outlined in the Contract with Conservatives, I cannot and will not vote for him if he is the GOP nominee this year. If I did I would be approving of his compromises and his apparent as well as the GOP's rejection of conservatism.

The Church, Government and Democracy

"We need religion as a guide. We need it because we are imperfect, and our government needs the church, because only those humble enough to admit they’re sinners can bring to democracy the tolerance it requires in order to survive."

– President Ronald Reagan
