Top 2010 villains and heroes

The following was inspired by a radio program I heard on American Family Radio (AFR.net), AFA Report,  which discussed the villains and heroes of the past twelve months. I listened to that program and interjected some of my own thoughts and opinions in the content below.

HERO
Tea Party participants and Tea Party supported politicians like Joe Miller across the nation
These are the everyday men and women who rose up against a growing tyrannical Leviathan, which is extending its powerful tentacles from Washington, D.C. to the four corners of the nation. Although Joe Miller, the Republican who upset Senator Lisa Murkowski in the GOP Primary Election in Alaska, but just recently indicated that he would not contest her being seated next week as Senator from Alaska. Joe typified the discontent felt by a lot of people with the status quo in both major political parties. The Soetoro/Obama-Pelosi-Reid leftist agenda was resoundingly rejected in November. We are now expecting a lot from newly elected leaders like Marco Rubio, Rand Paul, Tim Scott, Daniel Webster and other strong principled conservatives being sworn in the new Congress on January 6th, 2011.

VILLAIN
The President and the 111th Congress
The President and the Democratic-led Congress robbed the American people and America of a great amount of liberty. The deficit was increased more than any other President or Congress ever had before. They did this with unwise socialistic spending sprees. They took money they did not have and gave it to businesses that they should have let fail, they passed a Stimulus bill that stimulated only the cancerous growth of government and favored unions and other of their cronies. The weakened the military and our national defense by insisting on the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell and the quick, thoughtless passage of START. They used every trick and lie to pass the Health Care Control bill.

HERO
Salvatore Augustine Giunta
Giunta is a staff sergeant  in the United States Army. He is the first living person to receive the United States military's highest decoration for valor, the Medal of Honor, for actions that occurred since the Vietnam War. Giunta was cited for saving members of his squad on October 25, 2007 during the Ware in Afghanistan. What a contrast with low lifes such as the Jihadist Major Nidal Malik Hasan who killed soldiers at Fort Hood or traitor Private Bradley Manning who compromised many secrets by releasing them to WikiLeaks.

VILLAIN
Bradley E. Manning.
Army private and traitor Manning was charged in July 2010 with the unauthorized disclosure of U.S. classified information He is being held in solitary confinement at the Marine Corps Brig Quantico, and is expected to face a court-martial [and hopefully, a firing squad]    in the spring of 2011.

HERO
Pastor Cary Gordon and the Voters in Iowa
The patriotic and principled voters in IOWA in November removed three Iowa Supreme Court Justices, who had taken it upon themselves to declare same-sex marriage to be legal against the will of the people and against law of nature. The people felt that the judges overstepped their bounds and booted them out of office.

VILLAIN
National Public Radio (NPR) for firing Juan Williams
NPR, the taxpayer funded voice of subversion, fired Williams for expressing his honest opinions regarding his discomfort in seeing Muslims clad in their traditional garb boarding a plane. One of the first tasks of the new Congress should be to cut off all taxpayer funds to this anti-American anti-Christian leftist propaganda machine, NPR and its evil sister PBS.

Late Night Takes – Cleaning up Congress

Maxine Waters & Charles Rangel - Still in office

Late Night Humor

The Tonight Show With Jay Leno

· This weekend, we turn(ed) the clocks back. Now don’t confuse that with last Tuesday when Democrats got their clocks cleaned.

· It looks like John Boehner will be the new speaker of the House. He is the son of a bartender, one of 12 children who grew up in a two-room home with just one bathroom. He worked his way through school and became the first person in his family to graduate from college. Then, sadly, he fell in with the wrong crowd and wound up in Congress.

These jokes are courtesy of NewsMax.com (Hat Tip!), which periodically sends out an email compilation of late night jokes, few of which are worth repeating … these two were the exceptions in the latest batch.

Moving America Forward, But Where? Columbus, Ohio 10/17/10

(Columbus, Ohio AGC ... News) I attended or rather, I infiltrated the recent Moving America Forward Rally in Columbus yesterday, here is my report.

How ironic and how thoroughly idiotic “Moving America Forward” is as a theme for the Democratic Party of the current President. “Moving America Forward” to where is my question. If it is on the path toward European Socialism as the Democratic President and Congress has pursued the last 20 months, or so, it is indeed the absolute wrong direction. That forward movement or revolution must by all means be stopped on November 2, 2010!

There were a lot of people on the South Oval of the Ohio State University campus Sunday afternoon and evening in Columbus, Ohio. I traveled to Columbus with the idea of joining the protesters. I arrived around 4:00 PM and did not hook up with the protesters, but instead stood in the line with those who wanted to see the President and local politicians. The President and his wife were the featured attraction. The lines were long waiting to enter the South Oval grounds. I guess for one hour that evening the President would make the South Oval his office.

Around 5 or 5:30 PM the line started moving. A lot of the crowd was young people, college students I suppose. One student was reading a class assignment that stood in line behind me. The Chinese student just in front of me was trying to make contact with his girlfriend on his cell phone. She apparently was supposed to meet up with him in line. Everyone standing in line received an orange ticket, which was the admission. They asked people to complete some demographic information along with asking for a commitment to do some volunteer work for the “campaign” to help re-elect Democrats.

I came earlier enough to get close to the front to see the side of the stage. I was perched between the branches of a tree. I was tall enough to see between the leaves and over the heads of early comers in front of me. The pictures below are of Secret Service and police dogs positioned just behind the stage where the President appeared later.

This was the first campaign appearance by Mrs. Soetoro/Obama since 2008 and it was the largest crowd that the President had spoken to since his campaign.

The highlight for me is as we were getting close to the main entrance to the South Oval we were greeted by Pro-Life people holding large signs associating the President’s Pro-Death, Pro-Abortion positions with the products of Abortion – dismembered human babies. I heard one mother in line behind me tell her daughter, “Don’t look at the pictures,” when her little girl mentioned the pictures. I was thankful that some truth would be present this evening among all the falsehoods to come.

President's Choice: Murdering Babies in Mother's Womb

The mayor of Columbus, a large group of drummers and cymbal players from Central State University entertained the audience. There were several people who collapsed due to lack of water or heat exhaustion due to the weather and not Mr. Soetoro/Obama this time! Volunteers in red shirts (appropriate) passed out water to the thirsty masses. This held up the festivities. There was a long delay at the hour mark and that was my cue to leave. I fought my way like a halfback at the OSU horseshoe through the wall-to-wall people. An hour later I found my car.

I was not disappointed that I did not hear what the first couple had to say, because I am not interested in lies and empty rhetoric. Apparently the first couple continues to charm a certain percentage of the population. For most Americans, however, this controversial and increasingly unpopular President’s days are numbered and his influence is waning. Could this celebratory gathering be among his last? For a change, I hope so.

I wondered who paid for all the security and if they ever permitted a conservative meeting on campus to the degree they did for the Democrats Sunday night. There was a strong union presence, along with die-hard Democratic supporters. Did the Democrats have to pay for the security or clean up? Or was it a given that the President’s presence was justification that anything goes and taxpayer pays? Something just didn’t sit right. Although this was a public event, it was a very partisan affair from Soetoro/Obama posters, buttons and tee-shirts being sold Come to think of it I did not see any TEA (Taxed Enough Already) Shirts or paraphernalia, though.

2010 Delaware Senate Debate: The “Witch” versus Harry’s “Pet”

.

I watched the entire Christine O’DonnellChristopher Coons debate this evening. The battle of Chrises …

What a clear contrast, the Left versus the Right. O’Donnell did well except for her inability to articulate recent Supreme Court cases with which she disagreed. She stumbled there, but her opponent cited Citizens United case, which like the President, he vehemently disagreed. Neither candidate did very well on this question.

In the last half hour when the questions of the students were taken via video, the distinction of political philosophies and worldviews was made black and white. Coons supported abortion, homosexual “rights,” embryonic steam cell research. O’Donnell, as expected took the opposite viewpoint.

Being a supporter of 95% of the positions of O’Donnell, I thought she did a fair job in stating her positions. However, she was not as polished as Coons. Coons had more political experience. There did not seem to be much respect between either side. O’Donnell seemed more friendly and engaging a personality. On the other hand, Coons seemed arrogant and aloof. O’Donnell, like Sarah Palin, seemed more approachable and down to earth. Her opponent seemed cold and calculating.

I would have to summarize what I saw with Coons overall in the debate that I watched on C-SPAN online was a quote from President Ronald Reagan.

.

“Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so.” Ronald Reagan October 27, 1964

I think that O’Donnell represented the conservative position and the Tea Party Movement well. If people listened to the content they should be impressed by what she said. Coons appeared elitist and smug. O’Donnell was not afraid to alternately challenge and defend her position.

I thought the despite everything, O’Donnell did as well as could be expected. She was not as spellbinding as I thought she would be. The debate did reveal why Coons is considered to be Harry Reid’s “pet.” As O’Donnell repeated said Coons would be the President’s and Harry Reid’s “Rubber Stamp.”

The two debate moderators/questioners and her opponent were all liberals. So she was outnumbered 4 to 1. That being the case, she did not win, nor did she lose the debate. The debate in my opinion was a draw.

However, it was O’Donnell’s ideas and positions that won the debate. Coon’s ideas and positions were in noticeable lockstep with those of Soetoro/Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. This should be more than enough reason for voters in Delaware to vote for Christine O’Donnell on Tuesday, November 2! The conservatives definitely have the ideas and are closer to what I believe the majority of Americans’ value.

America’s Very Future Hinges on Election 2010!

Are these Democrats waiving good-bye?

The weekend edition of the U.S.A.Today Newspaper had an article with a revealing title, “(President Soetoro a/k/a) Obama tells students their future hinges on election, Dems trying to get flagging supporters ‘fired up’ again.” Isn’t it ironic that although he is talking about his transforming America from a free-enterprise system to a socialist state, the article headlines speaks truth? The 2010 Election WILL determine the future of our once democratic republic. We must essentially fire the current Congress to stop the “progressive” or socialist advance. We must hire conservative members of Congress to change the direction this nation is headed, which is self-destruction.

For this election must be a repudiation of the deceptive “Hope & Change” message – a socialist agenda being thrust on America by this controversial and increasingly unpopular President and those radicals in his Administration and in the statist elitists leading the wayward Democratic-controlled Congress.

The article noted that the President was trying to charge up one important part of his base, the college aged crowd. That is the group which has been overwhelmingly indoctrinated with the Leftist philosophy that the President supports and purports. Yes, the Left through the socialist dominated teachers unions, National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) along with the ACLU and the Federal Department of Education and other subversive and atheistic individuals and entities have booted God, Christianity, and absolute morality from our classrooms and have substituted an empty secular humanism, moral relativism mind-set that has absolutely corrupted the education system.

The article also cites that the upcoming congressional elections “threaten to reverse (the President’s) economic, education and health care policies.” Dah, they need to be reversed!

ECONOMIC POLICIES

The President’s and Congress’ economic policies and actions have extended the recession and made our economic collapse worse. “Saving” GM and Chrysler were mostly a payoff to his loyal union supporters. The stimulus bill has been a failure; all it has stimulated was the growth and expansion of government. Worse yet the head of the U.S. Treasury, which is responsible for the IRS, Tim Geithner, is himself a tax cheat.

Why, at this time, is most of the President’s economic team resigning?

EDUCATION POLICIES

Despite all the money that the government has “invested” in education, the outcomes remain substandard. By their actions they seem to have institutionalized failure by adamantly opposing and all alternatives to public schools, such as school voucher program. The appointment of a avowed homosexual activist, Arnie Duncan, to the Education Department seems to me that the President and Congress feel advancing the homosexual agenda and Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s comprehensive sex education schemes are more important than reading, writing and arithmetic. In fact, abstinence education is an anathema to this President and this Congress.

HEALTHCARE POLICES

ObamaCare is the worse piece of legislation and the most unpopular ever brought into law. The President and Congress lied (about abortion funding, about premiums not increasing, about not increasing the debt, etc) and pulled all the strings and dirty tricks possible to force this legislation to become law.

The people oppose comprehensive health care ‘reform’ as envisioned by ObamaCare overwhelmingly. In keeping with his desire to appoint radicals to key positions in his administration the President appointed abortion advocate Kathleen Sebelius as Secretary of Health and Human Services. Furthermore, the President’s recess appointment of David Berwick as director of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services shows the true intent of the President in working toward a one-payer government-run healthcare system like the one in Great Britain

Cast Congressman ZACK into outer SPACE on November 2, 2010

Evacuate Space

Check out this campaign ad regarding Democratic Congressman Zack Space. It could be applied to many Democratic incumbents running for office this year …

Remember Now and in November to Fire Zack Space … along with the rest of Congress!

Getting Government off our backs: Stop John Boccieri (D-OH) & 19 Other Pro-Death Democrats on November 2nd

Here is a campaign ad by the Family Research Council (FRC) Action PAC, which target what the FRC Action PAC has determined to be the 20 most vulnerable Democrats in this years election.

According to the FRC Action PAC website, “Pro-life and pro-family voters must work together to change the Congress, state governments and ultimately the White House. We cannot afford to put hard-earned dollars into the campaigns of people who "grow in office" or cannot see their way under the pressure of party politics. To this end, FRCACTION PAC has spent many months researching races we see as vulnerable and that will have pro-life, pro-family candidates to fill the void.

“As a result of the "health care" bill, we have expanded and revised our original "target list" from the "dirty dozen" to the "20 in '10" list. The expansion reflects those so called "pro-life" Democrats who seemed destined to heroism when they joined forces with Bart Stupak on a House bill that would have precluded any use federal dollars for abortion, but who caved under White House and Democrat leadership. Following are the names and Districts of our targets for "20 in '10."

Here is FRC Action PAC’s 20 in ’10 Hit List:

Incumbent / Challenger / Congressional District

Chris Carney Tom Marino PA-10

John Boccieri Jim Renacci OH-16

*** Kathy Dahlkemper Mike Kell PA-3

*** Steve Driehaus Steve Chabot OH-1

Gabrielle Giffords Jesse Kelly AZ-8

Baron Hill Todd Young IN-9

*** Paul Kanjorski Lou Barletta PA-11

Mary Jo Kilroy Steve Stivers OH-15

Ron Klein Alan West FL-22

Betsy Markey Cory Gardner CO-4

Walt Minnick Raul Labrador ID-1

Alan Mollohan* Lost in Primary David McKinley WV-1

Glenn Nye Scott Rigell VA-2

Tom Perriello Robert Hurt VA-5

Earl Pomeroy Rick Berg ND-AL

Carol Shea-Porter Frank Giunta NH-1

Ciro Rodriguez Quico Canseco TX-23

John Spratt Mick Mulvaney SC-5

Ann Kirkpatrick Paul Gosar AZ-1

Alice Dina Titus Joe Heck NV-3

*** These three were among the Democrats who along with Bart Stupak compromised with the President on abortion and allowed the heinous, horrific health care “reform” bill, ObamaCare, to pass. Those three have especially large targets on their compromised backs.

4 of the 20 are in important Ohio U.S. House races. I would like to see all 20 of these Democrats defeated especially Driehaus, Dahlkemper, and Kanjorski, the supposed Pro-Life Democrats who caved along with the infamous Bart Stupak on voting to essentially allow abortion to be part of ObamaCare. I wonder what the retiring Mr. Stupak will be getting as his 30 pieces of silver.

Less than four weeks – Remember November!

Hat tip goes to http://twitter.com/#!/examinerpolitic which tweeted a link to the video below. The video is a Republican Governors Association (RGA) campaign ad. Here is a commentary that appears with the video on the RGA website, “With just 4 weeks remaining until Americans make their voices heard, Democratic leaders are hoping you forget about the broken promises and failed policies of the last 18 months. Remember November is a campaign to hold Democrats accountable for their record. Join us at http://www.remembernovember.com.”

Florida 8th District: Choose Daniel Webster over Alan Grayson

Alan Grayson is a an extreme liberal who will say and do most anything to get attention and to get re-elected, even if it means misstating his opponents positions. Take for example his ad pronouncing his opponent being as bad as the Taliban … Hat time goes to http://twitter.com/#!/First_Patriots for posting the following:

“…Watch a portion of the video Alan Grayson “nipped and tucked” that was used to make his ad:

Partial Transcript:

“Webster: So, write a journal. Second, find a verse. I have a verse for my wife, I have verses for my wife. Don’t pick the ones that say, ‘She should submit to me.’ That’s in the Bible, but pick the ones that you’re supposed to do. So instead, ‘love your wife, even as Christ loved the Church and gave himself for it’ as opposed to ‘wives submit to your own husbands.’ She can pray that, if she wants to, but don’t you pray it.”

Now watch how, “like magic, Alan Grayson turns his Republican opponent Daniel Webster into a religious fanatic and dubs him “Taliban Dan.” As you saw and heard Daniel Webster he was trying to show how a husband should love and honor his wife……. now watch as Alan Grayson tries to twist Daniel‘s words and meaning…… keep in mind Alan still stands behind this ad……. how could anyone vote for Grayson is beyond my comprehension.”

2010 Election: A Correction in Direction

Here are recent comments made by U.S. Representative Cathy Morris Rodgers (WA-5th) on the “success” of all the government bailouts to date. Her words were captured on a short YouTube video. The video is a nice summary of the failures of the Bailout approach to fixing the economy. Hat tip goes to the http://www.ValuesVoterNews.com/ where I found this pertinent and informative expose.

The text of her comments precedes the embedded video below.

All across America, people are looking to Congress and the White House and asking the same question: "Is anybody listening?"

The American people said "No" to wasteful government spending.

What did we get? An $800 billion stimulus bill.

What were the results? 3.3 million private sector jobs were lost.

The American people said "No" to a government-takeover of health care.

What did we get? A trillion-dollar takeover of America's health care system.

What have been the results? Right now, 1.6 million jobs are at risk because of government-imposed mandates.

The American people said "No" to more government bailouts.

What did we get? A $50 billion bailout of Greece and the European Union.

What have been the results? We're about to find out.

Republicans in Congress are listening to the people.

We are saying "No" to wasteful spending.

We are saying "Repeal and Replace" the Obama health care bill, and we are saying "Never Again" to more Wall Street bailouts.

President Obama and Speaker Pelosi are taking American in the wrong direction.

By listening to the people, we can get American moving in the right direction.

To renew the American Dream, we need new ideas and common sense.

There is nothing wrong with the American government that can't be cured by the wisdom of the American people.

And if we empower the people -- and reduce the power of Government -- America's best days will be ahead of us.

Who Will Control the House?

Double the Trouble

“(US) House Speaker Nancy Pelosi says she feels certain that Democrats will keep control of the House.

“Unless there is an election or something . . .”

November is coming!

Hat tip goes to Twitterer VoteSmartToday who posted the link to a great video, which is embedded below. The video was created by Ben Howe and was also posted at RedState.

The following is from the YouTube description, which accompanied this video.

"This is the issue of this election. Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves." Washington elites have awakened a sleeping giant. Let us preserve the last best hope of man on earth. November is coming. God help those who hope to take that last step into a thousand years of darkness. This is the new revolution. Take America BACK.

Toppling a Delaware Sand Castle

Christine O’Donnell defeated Congressman Mike Castle in Delaware’s Republican Senate Primary.

“Apparently
Castle was so upset he vowed he would never pretend to be a Republican again.”

NewsBusted,
Episode 9/17/10

COMMENT: I saw where, like another sore-loser, Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Rep. Mike Castle may run as a write-in candidate. Boy those RINOs sure are team players aren’t they?

Also, isn’t interesting if
Castle did become a Senator, he would have held the position of Delaware Governor, its only US House seat and then a US Senate seat. Wow, quite an accomplishment. Maybe that is why he is so ticked that he didn’t win . He wanted to be the first to hold all three positions.

The face of an ungracious loser, Lisa Murkowski (RINO-AK)

Getting Ugly: Loser Lisa may run as independent write-in

Hat tip goes to the National Review Online for posting this information on their website. Defeated incumbent Senator Lisa Murkowski, a liberal Republican in Name Only (RINO) may announce tonight that she will run for Senator in Alaska as a write-in candidate. There is supposed to be some kind of announcement tonight. Apparently she would rather see the Democrat win than the Primary Election choice of the people, conservative Joe Miller. Is this woman a female Arlen Specter, it sure looks that way.

Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Kentucky, Nevada, et al

"Make America a No RINO Zone on Tuesday, November 2, 2010."

Wow, O'Donnell Victor in Oh Delaware!

Conservative Christine O'Donnell bests another Republican-in-Name-Only (RINO) and the Party endorsed candidate Mike Castle. Wake up GOP! This is big. This is big in the state that brought us Joe Biden for some 30 odd years ...

Congratulations Christine O'Donnell!

Onward to Tuesday, November 2, 2010 and God willing another conservative seat in that Democrat dominated domain.

Monday, September 13, 2010

Choose Christine O'Donnell (Conservative R) over Mike Castle (RINO) for Delaware U.S. Senator

No More RINOs, Vote O'Donnell for US Senate in Delaware!

Hat tip goes to HotAirPundit blog for posting the YouTube video below. The primary election will be held in Delaware on Tuesday September 14, 2010. Right now Mike Castle a very liberal Republican (i.e. RINO) is ahead. Challenger is Tea Party supported Christine O’Donnell Here is a well produced radio ad put out by the Our Country Deserves Better PAC TeaPartyExpress.org:

Here are the comments regarding the election found at About.com on their article,2010 U.S. Senate Races - Who's Winning, Who's Not."

“Republican Rep. Mike Castle, former two-term governor, has been heavily favored to win the September 14, 2010 primary against opponent Christine O'Donnell ... However, some moderate Republicans fear that O'Donnell could defeat Castle in a surprise similar to Alaska's primary results.”

Let’s hope O’Donnell pulls off another Alaskan “Miller” there in Delaware, we could use another upset win for Conservatism! Senator Jim DeMint, himself a strong conservative leader, recently expressed support for O'Donnell.
