No Endorsement for 2016 Reelection of U.S. Senator Rob Portman (RINO-OH), Who Dissed Marriage and Family!

Portman Disses Marriage and Family

I concur completely with the pro-life, pro-family Cleveland Right to Life organization's Press Release issued today regarding the withholding of any endorsement of the reelection of United States Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) by any and all principled conservative politicians. Portman by his action agrees with the radical and decadent homosexual agenda by recognizing and supporting same-sex 'marriage.' This great compromise brings him into the camp of the most radical and extremist Democrat or leftist. As the press release below indicates, he now essentially rejects the traditional definition and institution of marriage and subsequently the God-ordained family unit.

This egregious change or compromise of his apparent convictions and Republican Platform by Senator Portman should not be taken lightly by any real conservative or any true follower of Jesus Christ. It violates the basic tenets of orthodox Judaism, Christianity and even other religious systems of belief. In other words, it is worldly, secular, godless and hellish.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Endorsing Senator Portman Will Cost Conservative Politicians Votes in 2016
Republican base in Ohio places the right to life and marriage between a man and woman as their core belief
CLEVELAND, OH, January 8th 2015 -

In response to a newsletter received today from Senator Rob Portman announcing his Ohio endorsements in his bid for re-election in 2016, Molly Smith, President of Cleveland Right to Life had this to say "My advice to any true conservative officer holder is to say NO on principle, right up front, due to Portman's choice to go against the GOP national pro-marriage platform.  Remember, the marriage issue is one of the "big two" for social conservatives." Smith encouraged those who are receiving "endorsement" calls from Senator Portman's office to consider before they endorse, that they will find themselves on the opposing team from all conservative groups if a viable challenger jumps in the race.  "You don't need to pick up Portman's baggage." she continued.

In 2013 Cleveland Right to Life announced they could no longer support  Portman  because of his flip-flop on one of the fundamental tenets of their mission. They received national support for their stand that pointed out that the right to life and the right for each child to grow up in a stable environment with their mother and father are two book-ends of the same issue.  Many other Right to Life groups in the state joined them in support.

"When Senator Portman announced that he was abandoning his support for traditional marriage he also abandoned his right to support from the prolife voter." said Smith.

Smith has asked the prolife base to call their representative  and senators to express concern about endorsing a candidate whose position violates a core Christian principle. She asked members to remind their representative that endorsements matter and theirs will have consequence.  She also noted that State Representatives have contacted prolife groups to go on record with their decision NOT to endorse Senator Portman.  One such State Representative stated " there are certain lines that must never be crossed and crossing natural law created by God are those types of lines"

"Republican Politicians must remember that they are elected by the people and not by party insiders.  It would be good to remind ourselves as well as our representatives that we are not called to be successful but rather we are called only to be faithful to God" concluded Smith.

Waning or Winning TEA Party Influence on the GOP?

He Never Was All That He Was Quacked Up To Be!

I was listening to the replay of the Columbus, Ohio WOSU public radio show, All Sides with Ann Fisher tonight. The general agreement of the obvious liberal hostess and various panel members was that the TEA Party’s influence was waning and was not a major factor in the Republican sweep of statewide offices in Ohio and U.S. House and Senate GOP victories around the country. Then I received the following Press Release from the Ohio Citizens PAC in an email.

TEA PARTY CANDIDATE STEVE KRAUS DEFEATS
OHIO DEMOCRATIC CHAIRMAN CHRIS REDFERN
IN RACE FOR OHIO HOUSE 89th DISTRICT
Akron, OH - In a major victory by the Ohio TEA Party Movement, TEA Party Republican Candidate Steve Kraus from Sandusky, Ohio, has defeated Ohio Democratic Chairman Chris Redfern for Ohio House seat in the 89th District that includes Erie and Ottawa Counties. Redfern had been in the Ohio House since 1999 and has been State Chairman of the Ohio Democratic Party since 2005.  Kraus made a strong but unsuccessful bid for Congress in 2012.  He decided to run for Ohio House against Redfern after the Ohio Republican Party showed little interest in fielding a candidate in the race.  Kraus got little support from the ORP even after early poling showed him with a small lead. The Ohio Citizens PAC did robo calls into the district as did the TEA Party run Ohio Republican PAC in and effort to get Kraus over the top. Kraus won 51% to 49%.

Tom Zawistowski, President of the Ohio Citizens PAC, said "Steve is a great citizen candidate who will faithfully represent the people of Erie and Ottawa County - not himself or some political party.  He ran a terrific race two years ago but I was surprised when he told me he thought that he could beat the Ohio Democratic Chairman. But he worked very hard and ran a great race and with a little help from his friends in the TEA Party he pulled off the biggest upset in the State tonight. Hopefully this will stop the whining by Republicans who claim we never go after Democrats. This win proves that the TEA Party does not care about political parties, we care about people and the way government serves them.”

Ironically, Chris Redfern was the Chairman of the Democrat Party in Ohio, and he was beaten by a TEA Party candidate. To me that is really big news, but obviously it was not to the biased media. The connection was never made by anyone on the public radio show to the fact that it was a TEA Party backed candidate, who received negligible support from the Ohio Republican Party, who defeated Redfern.

Nationally, Senators Ted Cruz, Rand Paul and Mike Lee will be receiving some reinforcements from newly elected conservative Senators Ben Sasse (Nebraska) and Tim Cotton (Arkansas). These men will strengthen the conservative movement within the Senate. This handful of patriots has to battle not only Harry Reid and the Democrats, but more times than not the Mitch McConnell misled Republicans.

Acknowledged by even the liberal public radio show I mentioned above was the fact that the TEA Party Movement has helped to move the stubborn GOP in a more conservative direction. The GOP leadership tends to be a party happy-with-the-status-quo when in power. Hopefully the voice of Ted Cruz and others along with some of the newly elected Senators will hold their fellow Republicans feet to the fire and halt the poisonous Progressive Agenda that has been foisted on America these past six years. Maybe they can give America a chance to begin to recover from the failed and damaging Obama policies, legislation, and administrative decisions and programs. And just maybe we can begin to reverse the “fundamental transfortation” of the now lame duck President.

Here are just 15 of the Lies of Liberalism

I read an article, 15 Lies of Liberalism, this morning at TownHall.com. It is a great article that catalogues some of the lies being perpetuated by the Left. Here is a highlighted version of the article’s 15 Liberal lies:

(1) it's about choice - unless you want to choose which gun or light bulb to use, which school to send your child to...

(2) it cares about the environment, unless you are a resource-wasting lib like algore...

(3) You can have lots of free government services and somebody else will pay for them...

(4) As long as you use birth control that someone else is forced to pay for, there are no consequences...to lots and lots of sex...

(5) "government will make you smarter, taller, richer, and remove the crabgrass on your lawn."

(6) it's all about compassion and taking care of the less fortunate, unless a libs own money is on the line...

(7) You shouldn't take your Christian faith seriously, politically correctness matters more than the Bible...God...

(8) How much our country spends can ber dictated by our wants, not affordability...

(9) Liberals want unity and bipartisanship by spewing pure hatred and smearing, demonizing, threatening, and lying about anyone who disagrees with them.

(10) It’s going to deliver equality of outcomes for everyone by making us all poorer

(11) It cares about women -- unless they're conservative women...

(12) It'll help the poor -- and it does...to live in ghettos with just enough food and money to survive so they can stay dependent on liberals...

(13) Liberals are the only people who care about black Americans and want to help...like Detroit where they have been in power for years?

(14) Small business owners were able to build their businesses because they were lucky...

(15) You can fix crime by taking away guns from the law abiders voluntarily...

Mitt Romney is a 'Conservative' of Convenience

George W. Bush was supposedly a compassionate ‘conservative.’ Rick Santorum claimed to be a consistent conservative. Willard Mitt Romney is a convenient ‘conservative.’

Watch for the etch-a-sketch reset if Mr. Romney wins the GOP nomination for President. His true liberal colors will shine.

All we conservatives can do now is to work toward and hope for a brokered GOP convention this summer!

A response to recent NRSC solicitation

Here is a copy of the note I sent to Senator John Cornyn this week in response to his solicitation for funds for the National Republican Senatorial Campaign.

December 21, 2010

National Republican Senatorial Committee
Ronald Reagan Republican Center
425 2nd Street NE
Washington, DC 20002

Dear Senator John Cornyn

With the help of Republican Senators the Senate voted for open homosexuality in the military. I am appalled and consider myself betrayed by those in office. No longer will I give to the Republican Party.

According to the Bible, homosexuality is a crime worthy of death. Since America has chosen to accept it as being okay, now it is America that will die.

You have God's word on that!

Sincerely

Sam

I Want Your Money (2010) movie trailer...

Hat tip goes to HollywoodRepub, who posted this link on his most recent tweet.

Here is a description of the video embedded below

”… Set against the backdrop of today's headline - 67% of Americans don't approve of Obama's economic policies, the film takes a provocative look at our deeply depressed economy using the words and actions of Presidents Reagan and Obama and shows the marked contrast between Reaganomics and Obamanomics. The film contrasts two views of the role that the federal government should play in our daily lives using the words and actions of Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama.
"Two versions of the American dream now stand in sharp contrast. One views the money you earned as yours and best allocated by you; the other believes that the elite in Washington know how to best allocate your wealth. One champions the traditional American dream, which has played out millions of times through generations of Americans, of improving one's lot in life and even daring to dream and build big. The other holds that there is no end to the "good" the government can do by taking and spending other peoples' money in an ever-burgeoning list of programs. The documentary film I Want Your Money exposes the high cost in lost freedom and in lost opportunity to support a Leviathan-like bureaucratic state.

Looks like the timing of this film is just right, in time to motivate people to REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER … remember those in Congress who supported and voted for TARP, the Stimulus, ObamaCare …

REMEMBER IN NOVEMBER!

VOTE CONSERVATIVE!

Djou (R, HI-1) wins Hawaii Special Election

For the first time in 20 years, a Republican, Charles Djou, (although not a social conservative) in a special election yesterday won the Congressional District 1 seat. This is significant because this district is the home district of President Barry Soetoro a/k/a Barack Obama where he was raised in Hawaii. Djou ran on a strong fiscal conservative platform. Unfortunately, his victory is dampened or overshadowed by his apparent support for abortion and homosexuality.

He will have to run again in the regular election in November. This time he will face only one Democratic opponent. The two strong Democratic opponents in yesterday’s election helped to split the vote giving the election to the Republican.

Nonetheless, Djou’s victory, like Scott Brown’s upset win in Massachusetts, is a sign that real change and hope will be the outcome of the November election. What we need are more real social and fiscal conservatives in Congress. Also, Djou may bring greater attention to the grave fiscal situation our nation now faces. He may make his voice heard over the next six months. He is enthusiastic and passionate personality.

Read more at “
GOP’s Djou Wins Hawaii Special Election for Congress” which is posted on the HotAirPundit blog. Hat tip to the HotAirPundit for posting this story.

The Corrupting Influence of Power on the Current Government

Quote Unquote

President Reagan must have had the current Soetoro a/k/a Obama Administration and the 111th Congress in mind when he made the following statement:

Source: Shirts, Mouse Pads, etc. @ Shirts4Freedom

This principle that President Reagan enumerated is one of the main themes of the growing Tea Party Movement spreading like wildfire throughout the U.S.A.!

Even NOW Condemns Letterman’s despicable jokes about the Palins

And the No. 1 most outrageous . . .
.
Cartoon by William Warren as found on GetLiberty.org 6/12/09

N.O.W. outraged, finally

Finally, a few feminists wake up from their frigid state of blissfully ignoring the frequent attacks on conservative or Christian females, to come to a near defense of one of their black sheep sisters, Sarah Palin. Even NOW recognizes that the cowardly Palin-taunting, classless comedian, David Letterman, needed to be rebuked. It’s about time. You know Letterman crossed some kind of chasm, if it caused NOW to come down on him on behalf of a woman such as Palin. After all, Palin is the absolute antithesis of the feminists' ideal of womanhood.

Chris Good wrote in an article, “
NOW condemns Letterman,” for theAtlantic.com, “After this week's flap between Sarah Palin and David Letterman, which started when Letterman cracked a joke about Palin's "slutty flight attendant look" and another about her daughter getting "knocked up" by New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez, the National Organization for Women (NOW) has condemned Letterman's jokes and is asking its supporters to write to CBS and voice criticism.”

Also. Letterman made NOW’s newly updated Hall of Shame. Here is a portion of why Letterman was nominated for this highly undistinguished award.

Offender: David Letterman on "Late Show with David Letterman"

Media Outlet: CBS, aired 6/8/09

The Offense: Late night TV host David Letterman "joked" that during their recent trip to New York, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin's daughter "was knocked up by Alex Rodriguez" during a Yankees baseball game. The next night Letterman said that the hardest part of Palin's trip was "keeping Eliot Spitzer away from her daughter."

NOW Analysis: After two nights of "jokes" at the expense of Palin and her family, Letterman tried to explain himself and offer something of an apology. On his June 10 show, Letterman said he was referring to Palin's 18-year-old daughter, Bristol -- not the 14-year-old daughter who actually accompanied Palin on her New York trip. Letterman said "I recognize that these are ugly" jokes. NOW agrees. Comedians in search of a laugh should really know better than to snicker about men having sex with teenage girls (or young women) less than half their age.

The sexualization of girls and women in the media is reaching new lows these days -- it is exploitative and has a negative effect on how all women and girls are perceived and how they view themselves. Letterman also joked about what he called Palin's "slutty flight attendant look" -- yet another example of how the media love to focus on a woman politician's appearance, especially as it relates to her sexual appeal to men. Someone of Letterman's stature, who appears on what used to be known as "the Tiffany Network" (CBS), should be above wallowing in the juvenile, sexist mud that other comedians and broadcasters seem to prefer . . .

MICHELLE'S DEAR DAVID LETTER
.
Read also Michelle Malkin's 'Dear David Lettermen' which she wrote today, June 12, 2009. Here are two salient quotes from her article:
“. . . Face it: David Letterman, late-night entertainer turned partisan hack and hit man, has a deranged obsession with Palin and her family that has crossed into rank bigotry and hatred. If the CBS network cares about basic standards of decency on public airwaves and if it cares at all about bolstering its shrinking audience, the network honchos will get Letterman a therapist pronto . . .

“. . . Letterman reminds me of the lecher at the school bus stop. Or the aging creep lurking in the dirty magazine section at the 7-Eleven. Attention, CBS: Get him help now.”
You said it very well, Michelle. There you have it both very liberal females and a very conservative female are saying the same thing about the decrepit Letterman.

A Tale of Two Tea Parties

The country can move in two very diverse directions. There are two very different approaches. One is the godless secular humanistic approach where man has all the answers and the other is a God-respecting and honoring approach where God and His eternal principles hold the key to individual and national success.

SECULARIST ORIENTED TEA PARTY

This Tea Party has been brewing for some time, perhaps for a 100 plus years. It came together and went into full-swing on 1/20/09. I call it the Democratic Tea (TAX EVERYONE ALWAYS) Party. It is characterized by this quote pointed out to me in a posting on the National/International Politics Forum at Cleveland.com. It really captures the essence of a worldview that has captured much of academia, the national media, main line churches, political parties, especially the Democratic Party.

"If you can dream it, you can be it." ---
Hello Kitty

This could very well be said of the former community organizer, Saul Alinsky protégé and disciple and alleged President Barry Soetoro (a/k/a Barack Obama), Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid.

This troublesome triumvirate joins together with other Democratic Party elite, who all dream of the day when America will become a fully socialistic state/utopia. During the first two months of the Soetoro (Obama) presidency you can see evidence of where these radical socialists and secularists want to take America.

FREEDOM LOVING, GOD-HONORING TEA PARTY

In stark contrast to the Secular Left are the majority of Americans who to some degree want to preserve all or some portion of the original principles, values and freedoms upon which this nation was founded hundreds of years ago.

Tax Day, 4/15/09, the TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY (TEA) Parties symbolize the hundreds of millions of American who want to do the right thing. They will have a means to voice their protest. This is needed since many of our representatives are listening more to their party leaders and moneyed and highly influential constituents and lobbyists than the people living in their states or districts back home.

This party includes those who dream of a day when America will be restored.

We believe in and work toward restoring the values and principles of our Founding Fathers, which include: Honoring God, Respecting Life, Hard Work, Small Limited Government, Preserving National Sovereignty, Minimal Taxes, Absolute Moral Standards and Truth, etc.

THE FUTURE MAY BE NOW

In a November 24, 2008 Washington Times article, "
Gerald Celente: Visionary” by Armand de Borchgrave, Mr Celente is described as “the man who track the world’s social, economic, and business trends for corporate clients.”

According to the Washington Times article Celente has forecasted accurately “the 1987 stock market crash, the collapse of the Soviet Union in1991, the 1997 Asian currency crash, the 2007 subprime mortgage scandal that he said would soon engulf the world . . . In November 2007, Mr. Clelente also told UPI a massive devaluation of the dollar was coming and that some Wall Street giants were headed for total collapse. He called it the “Panic of 2008”

“This time, Mr. Celente’s Trends Research Institute, which the Los Angeles Times described as the Standard & Poor’s of pop culture, can see a tax rebellion in America by 2012, food riots, squatter rebellions, job marches, and a culture that puts a higher premium on food on the table than gifts under the Christmas tree.

“Mr. Celente says, “There will be a revolution in this country,” though not until 2012, and it will take the form of a bloodless coup and the meteoric rise of a third party . . .”

“. . . The catastrophe that is about to hit our nation, he says, has its origin in wars we were told would be “off budget” and would not affect more tax cuts. This is the school that says there’s nothing wrong with a little deficit funding .

“One of the cornerstones of America’s giant economy is the ability to borrow from other countries—primarily China and Japan—from $2 billion to $3 billion a day in order to maintain the world’s highest standard of living, which is based on conspicuous consumption, at a time of growing world shortages. That was bound to change. But Mr. Celente does not believe we can switch to a thrifty society without a gigantic upheaval, from which a new paradigm will emerge . . .”

The Tea Party Movement may be a precursor to the calamities predicted by the Bible, Mr. Celente, and others.

Palin 2009 Calendar A Top Seller on Amazon.com

I saw on a Cleveland.com Internet forum this afternoon a link to a news item on the Wall Street Journal's Washington Wired. Reporter Susan Davis wrote yesterday that although Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin did not make it to the White House, CNN notes that she is a leader on Amazon.com’s best-seller list. Davis writes, “A 2009 calendar of the former Republican vice-presidential candidate is currently the top item on the Web site’s list of “Office Products and Supplies.”Read more at “Gift of the Season? 2009 Palin Calendar Tops Best Seller List."

Is the GOP DOA?

Thanks to Karl C. Priest for letting us post his article, which was recently published in the Charleston Gazette Newspaper on November 9, 2008. He expresses in his article my belief as to why Barack Obama won the election and why any true believer in Jesus Christ, who voted for Obama, made a terrible mistake. K.C. identifies our rotted educational system as a major cause of the elevation of and election of Obama.

November 9, 2008

Conservatives need to wake up and smell something besides the coffee - and the odor is not going to be pleasant. The stench of death is emanating from the Republicrat Party.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Conservatives need to wake up and smell something besides the coffee - and the odor is not going to be pleasant. The stench of death is emanating from the Republicrat Party.

The death of the Republicrat Party began after Reagan, but was delayed when the Demoncrats stupidly nominated John Kerry in 2004. George W. Bush would not have been re-elected had not military veterans (especially Vietnam-era vets) determined to block a man they perceived as a traitor. Bush did what Demoncrats lie about doing - he tried to compromise. For Demoncrats, compromise only occurs when they lack power and convince foolish Republicrats to abandon conservative convictions. Except for minimal pro-life actions, Bush is a typical Republicrat.

Any Christian is guilty of sinning if they voted for Obama, Rockefeller or any politician who supports the murder of pre-born children. Although the voters may not hold the instrument that kills the child, they are guilty of providing the means for the slaughter to occur. Abortion is breaking the sixth commandment. The death caused by abortion stinks!

For the sake of born and pre-born children it is time for Christians and non-Christian conservatives to abandon the Republicrat party and let it die the painful death it has brought on itself. Don't rush to Limbaugh for a strategy to prop up the Republicrat corpse.

The first place to look is a brand-new party that is free from the fake conservatism spouted by Republicrats. America's Independent Party (selfgovernment.us) has some potential. Anyone wanting some fresh air should watch that party grow after springing to life a few months ago.

Putting aside any biblical reference to the end times, it is absolutely amazing that Americans would elect the likes of Barack Obama. Black folks have sold their souls to the Demoncrats and lost an opportunity to help stop the slippery-slope slide of America into its grave. It is understandable (not forgivable) that a black vote for Obama was based upon race. What is appalling is that non-blacks (guilt-ridden or not) could not perceive that (half black) Obama is a superficial savior.
The votes that launched an Obama nation were based upon ignorance largely instilled by government schools.

The only hope, for people of all hues, is to overcome the brainwashing perpetuated by government schools and raise a generation of young people who understand American history and can think logically and independently. That can only be done in home and Christian schools.

If it is not done, beginning immediately, the death knell will soon sound for America as a nation.

Priest, of Poca, is a retired teacher and state coordinator of Exodus Mandate-West Virginia, a group that promotes Christian education and home schooling.

K.C. may be right in looking to an alternative to either the Republican or Democratic Parties beyond 2008. The GOP is run by "moderate" elitists (as opposed to radical leftist elitists who steer the Democratic Party) who care little about foundational conservative, Christian or American values or principles, all upon which this nation was founded.

Palin Can Take Punches, But . . .

Local Politics at Work

For a Conservative Ohio State House of Representatives

Monday night I witnessed a civil debate between two persons vying for the vacant seat of a term-limited state representative in Ohio’s 90th District. The debate was held in a vocational school in Mount Vernon, Ohio. It was attended by approximately 75 people. One of the candidates mentioned that it was the best attended gathering of all held for this office in this election cycle.

The debate was a back and forth between the two candidates. The moderator tossed out the same questions to each candidate on a rotating basis. They had either 2 or 3 minutes to answer. There was also a 1 minute rebuttal period for each candidate.

The debate was kind of a cross between the last McCain-Obama debate and Rick Warren's Saddleback Civil Forum.

I knew just a few things about the candidates prior to the debate. I left the debate knowing more than I had before. The Democratic candidate, Dwayne Grassbaugh was a farmer, small businessman and college graduate, who is new to politics. His strong point was that he visited each of the 45 townships in the district and felt that this was a good basis on which to build his understanding and representation as a new legislator. On the other hand he revealed that he was endorsed by the Ohio Education Association (OEA) and labor unions. He mentioned several times “green” Ohio, which to me is a catch phrase for over-the-line environmentalism.

On the other hand, Margaret Ann Ruhl, the Republican candidate, said that as having served as city and county auditor for over 20 years she brings an excellent experience and understanding of the government budgeting process to her job as a state representative. She emphasized the need to step up the use of clean coal and encouraging business develop instead of raising more taxes to stimulate growth of the Districts economy and to create jobs. She was not as articulate as was her opponent in expressing her opinions, but had superior ideas positions on the issues and experience.

Some of the topics covered where jobs, energy, health care, education and taxes. The Democrat expressed himself better on the issues. However, the Republican had better ideas. My major concern with the Democrat is with the endorsement of the OEA. I would be afraid that Mr. Grassbaugh would be supportive of the positions of that rabid union over the best interests of the students of Ohio. Based on the debate tonight I feel comfortable in both voting for Mrs. Ruhl and placing her yard sign in my yard, which I had for a few days pending the outcome and performance in the debate.

Here is the local newspaper's, MountVernonNews.com, account of the event.
