2010 National Scout Jamboree

Last week the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) held their 100 year anniversary celebration in Virginia, near the nation’s Capital. Most past Presidents took time out of their schedules to personally attend the National Scout Jamboree, which happens only every four years. Our President chose to diss the boys and to attend more 'important' events. Apparently he did this because a key component of his and his parties' support base is the active and monied homosexual lobby. The BSA have stood firm against the onslaught of homosexual advocates who desire subvert the principles and practices of the BSA.

The President's choices last week demonstrate his true values and principles, which I believe are ultimately harmful to this society. I concur with the American Family Association President, Tim Wildmon’s assessment of the disdain President Soetoro alias Obama has for the wholesome, traditional, American-value-laden Boy Scouts. He and his regime mates decided to choose an appearance on a gabfest TV show and attendance at a fund raising events in New York over making a personal appearance at the Boy Scouts of America 100 year anniversary celebration. By doing so, the President made his own values and priorities crystal clear.

The Boy Scouts of America (BSA) represent all that the President apparently has no use for, such as traditional American values, character, conservation, loyalty, one man-one woman marriage, pro-life, traditional intact family, and free enterprise. Instead, he would rather schmooze with the yakking yentas on mourning TV. Maybe, too he wanted to mesmerizing the newly expanded unemployment compensation recipients, who may be sitting at home relaxing and watching TV and waiting for their 100th week's check (made possible by the President's irresponsible cronies in Congress who just bailed them out by increasing the deficit). That is the audience he apparently cares more about. Ironically, the green President fueled up Air-Force One and flew past Virginia, where the Boy Scouts were celebrating, en route to New York to fund raise and do what he does best, campaign, this time for more shameless socialist schmucks.

Hummer to China, a real bummer

The Chinese bought a brand and the great technology that General Motors (now Gov’t Motors) developed. That was a mistake. The Chinese are our enemies. Will we continue to outfit our military with Chinese-made Hummers of questionable quality and manufacture? Will we buy (on credit) back Hummers from the Red Chinese, who do not have the concern for quality that American enterprises have had? Remember the tainted baby food and sea food, the lead based children toys, etc.?

But apparently to the new administration, America’s worst enemies are now considered our friends, and her best friends (Israel, Christians and conservatives) are now considered America’s enemies. Now, that is the change that the alleged President, Barry Soetoro a/k/a Barack Obama, brings to the table.

He appeases and apologizes to the Islamo-fascist-terrorist supporting states, while his Department of Homeland Security identifies those who oppose the leftist, socialist agenda as terrorists.

We are being driven to the precipice of destruction by the forces of Islamo-fascism, secular humanism, political correctness, and atheistic communism. Actually we have come to a tipping point in history. All of those that hate the God of the Bible and the values and principles that inspired America’s founding, are working in unison to destroy us, and now we are cooperating with them.

The fire sale of the Hummer to despotic China is symbolic of the break up of a once great company and a once great nation. We are giving our resources to a certified enemy. I cannot help but think that there surely must be some investor in America who could take the Hummer and make a success. Then again, the monolithic interfering government with its over regulation and over taxation and its foolish green (and I don’t mean profit) policy and orientation makes it nearly impossible to operative freely or for a profit, especially if you are a manufacturer.

Palin 2009 Calendar A Top Seller on Amazon.com

I saw on a Cleveland.com Internet forum this afternoon a link to a news item on the Wall Street Journal's Washington Wired. Reporter Susan Davis wrote yesterday that although Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin did not make it to the White House, CNN notes that she is a leader on Amazon.com’s best-seller list. Davis writes, “A 2009 calendar of the former Republican vice-presidential candidate is currently the top item on the Web site’s list of “Office Products and Supplies.”Read more at “Gift of the Season? 2009 Palin Calendar Tops Best Seller List."

How the McCain Camp Thanked Sarah Palin

Michelle Malkin wrote an excellent article this week titled, “The Cowardly Character Assassination Of Sarah Palin” in which she chides some of the unnamed sources in the McCain camp who blasted and blamed Palin (instead of themselves) for being ignorant and one of the reasons for McCain’s defeat in the election. In the key two paragraph excerpt below, she offers a poignant explanation for the vitriol of both those in the GOP and of their opponents, the Democrats and their lackeys.

“Hollywood savaged Palin. Journalists mocked her. Liberal blogs slimed her. Opponents cursed her, Photoshopped her, hacked her e-mail, hanged her in effigy, called her bigot, Bible-thumper and bimbo, and attacked her husband and children. But nothing Palin endured during the election season compares to the treatment she's receiving from these backstabbing blabbermouths who worked on the same campaign she poured herself into over the last three months.

“Sarah Palin worked her heart out. She energized tens of thousands to come out when they would have otherwise stayed home. She touched countless families. I didn't agree with everything she said on the campaign trail. But she vigorously defended the Second Amendment and the sanctity of life more eloquently in practice than any of the educated conservative aristocracy. And she did it all with a tirelessness and an infectious optimism that defied the shameless, bottomless attempts by elites in both parties to bring her and her family down . . .”

Living in Ohio I had a number of opportunities to attended events involving any and all of the candidates for President and Vice President. I would not travel across the street to listen to Barack Obama, Joe Biden, or John McCain. I would and did attend a Palin rally in the waning days of the campaign. In fact, on the same day that the messianic-Robin Hood was in Columbus I swam against the tide, the swarms of Obama worshipers, and left the downtown area, Where I had been distributing pro-life gospel tracks. I left around 12:15 and the not-so-great-one was to speak at 1:00 PM. His eloquent, yet empty rhetoric was and is devoid of either truth or substance. However, later that same afternoon, I drove across town to see and hear Governor Palin speak.

She is more of a conservative than any of the eight or so candidates that ran for President in the Republican Primary this year. The only person who even comes close on many conservative issues is Ron Paul.

I’ve come to the conclusion that (1) the left hates her and the strong Christian faith she possesses and practices and (2) the left is afraid of her, which is the reason they take every chance to tear her down, to belittle, to besmirch her character. The elite Republicans do not like her either. The same people in the Republican Party, who did not get behind Ken Blackwell, Mike Steele or Alan Keyes when they ran for office, all of whom are much more principled and qualified men than the current President-elect ever could hope to be, received only lukewarm support from the party establishment.

It may be time to either (1) reform the GOP and to work to return it to a principled conservative position, or (2) to abandon it and to start a new party or movement under a revitalized conservative banner. The treatment of Palin and of the people and principles she represents, by both Parties has been disgraceful. It is worthy of a serious reply and action leading up to the 2010 and the 2012 elections.

According to such notable and respected Christian leaders as Don Wildmon of the American Family Association (AFA) and Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council (FRC), this one ballot issue is THE MOST IMPORTANT VOTE in the entire November 2008 election. It is more important, they both say, than the presidential election. Why? Tony Perkins said that Americans have made bad choices in the past in their selection of Presidential candidates, but as a nation, we survived. Does Christian America Respect Life Anymore?

Protecting and preserving life is real moral and ecumenical issue, because abortion stops beating hearts. Hear their cry, America! So called Catholics or "Christians" like Barack Hussein Obama, or Joe Biden or Nancy Pelosi claim to be followers of Christ. They claim up and down to be "for the least of these," but by their actions, their votes and their platforms demostrate something very different.

Here is an email I received from the North East Ohio Value Voters today:

"Cleveland Catholic Bishop Richard Lennon issued a statement today
aimed at clarifying the USCCB document Faithful Citizenship and dispelling the errant thinking that has resulted in some from its faulty presentation:

""I am concerned about many things that are being said about the teaching of the bishops. From listening to many good and sincere people who are preparing to fulfill their duty to vote as Catholics and citizens, I realize they are confused in light of what is being said by certain people. For example, we hear from some that the issues and concerns raised in Faithful Citizenship are all equally important as they all impact human life. This is not at all what Faithful Citizenship taught" (emphasis added).

"Bishop Lennon goes on to differentiate between issues which involve intrinsically evil actions, which "must always be rejected and opposed and must never be supported or condoned," and what he terms "life-enhancing issues" which "only matter if human life itself is a value of fundamental priority and is always protected. If human life is expendable, then these other issues really lose much of their significance."

""Certainly, abortion and euthanasia, direct attacks on human life, stand out as intrinsically evil actions," states the bishop. "(The Church's) teaching on intrinsically evil actions admits of no exception or compromise."

""(The) teaching of the bishops on immigration (and) other life-enhancing issues . . . fundamentally differs from that on abortion and euthanasia. The teaching on abortion and euthanasia are based on "God's truth" regarding the dignity and sacredness of all human life," he emphasizes. As such, these issues are "essential and foundational and can never be compromised."The statement concludes with a directive for all Catholics who are preparing for Election Day to be guided by this teaching, "for without Respect for Life, what is there left to respect?"

"Cleveland Right to Life is sincerely grateful to Bishop Lennon for the pastoral concern he has shown his flock in issuing this statement. With this definitive guidance from the bishop, who alone has the authority to teach the mind of the Church within his diocese, all conflicting theories regarding Faithful Citizenship can be thrown away. Where a candidate stands on the fundamental Life issues of abortion and euthanasia cannot be glossed over by his relative position on other, lesser points. Every Catholic is called to place these Life issues in their proper place as the most essential of all voting considerations -- and not to compromise."

Evangelical Protestants and their Preachers would do well to follow the Bishop’s counsel on this matter.

Fireproof (2008)

This last weekend I joined 12 million others who saw the movie, Fireproof, during the first two weeks of its run. Tony Perkins on his Washington Watch Weekly Radio Show said that the movie has a positive message with three basic themes:
· Unconditional Love
· The Centrality of Marriage, and
· The Gospel (of Jesus Christ)’’

This powerful faith-based movie is about the Captain of a small town Fire Department, who is highly successful in his work, who encourages his men to work together as a cohesive unit, but whose own marriage is literally falling apart.

Kurt Cameron starts as the Fire Captain. He does an excellent job with the range of emotions which he is called upon to portray. The movie was produced and directed by the same group that made the movie Facing the Giants. It was not Hollywood, but a church in Albany, Georgia. It tells its story as well as any high budget Hollywood movie. It is unashamedly Christian, clearly demonstrated the simple yet proven principles of the Judeo-Christian Bible and faith.

There are a couple of suspenseful scenes as the fire fighters respond to fire calls. But the real suspense is whether the marriage of the Captain and his hospital public relations working wife could be salvaged.

RATING

I would rate the film as a ***** out of ***** for its clear message, inspiration, realism and hopefulness. It is a demonstration of the importance of the marriage relationship, as well the overarching importance of an honest forthright relationship with Jesus Christ.

The movie is not merely for “Christians,” but is for everyone. It’s a family film. There are so few family films out there these days.

I would strongly encourage everyone to make a point to see this film, especially if their marriage is on the rocks or if they are struggling with interpersonal relationships. The movie even contains a practical approach to rebuilding a marriage. The movie is God-honoring, wholesome, and entertaining. Something rarely found on the big screen or any screen today. It’s a must see movie.

This movie is especially relevant in California and Florida where marriage preservation and protection issues are on the ballot. Traditional marriage is worth saving. Marriage is worth defending.

What happened to South Africa could happen to America

KC sent an email to me yesterday containing an article that a South African friend of his had sent to him recently. The friend still lives in South Africa. The article, reproduced below, with my emphasis added, gives an interesting perspective on America's future from a person living in a former predominately Western nation, which has reverted back to third world status.

A Warning for America from South Africa

"People used to say that South Africa was 20 years behind the rest of the Western world. Television, for example, came late to South Africa (but so did pornography and the [homosexual] rights movement).

"Today, however, South Africa may be the grim model of the future Western world, for events in America reveal trends chillingly similar to those that destroyed our country.

"America 's structures are Western. Your Congress, your lobbying groups, your free speech, and the way ordinary Americans either get involved or ignore politics are peculiarly Western, not the way most of the world operates. But the fact that only about a third of Americans deem it important to vote is horrifying in light of how close you are to losing your Western character.

"Writing letters to the press, manning stands at county fairs, hosting fund-raising dinners, attending rallies, setting up conferences, writing your Congressman - that is what you know, and what you are comfortable with. Those are the political methods you've created for yourselves to keep your country on track and to ensure political accountability.

"But woe to you if - or more likely, when - the rules change. White Americans may soon find themselves unable or unwilling to stand up to challenge the new political methods that will be the inevitable result of the ethnic metamorphosis now taking place in America . Unable to cope with the new rules of the game - violence, mob riots, intimidation through accusations of racism, demands for proportionality based on racial numbers, and all the other social and political weapons used by the have-nots to bludgeon treasure and power from the haves - Americans, like others before them, will no doubt cave in. They will compromise away their independence and ultimately their way of life.

"That is exactly what happened in South Africa . I know, because I was there and I saw it happen.

"Faced with revolution in the streets, strikes, civil unrest and the sheer terror and murder practiced by Nelson Mandela's African National Congress (ANC), the white government simply capitulated in order to achieve "peace."

"Westerners need peace. They need order and stability. They are builders and planners. But what we got was the peace of the grave for our society.

THE DANGER OF ILLEGAL ALIENS

"The Third World is different - different peoples with different pasts and different cultures. Yet Westerners continue to mistake the psychology of the Third World and its peoples. Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe are perfect examples of those mistakes. Sierra Leone is in perpetual civil war, and Zimbabwe - once the thriving, stable Rhodesia - is looting the very people (the white men) who feed the country. Yet Westerners do not admit that the same kind of savagery could come to America when enough immigrants of the right type assert themselves. The fact is, Americans are sitting ducks for Third World exploitation of the Western conscience of compassion.

"Those in the West who forced South Africa to surrender to the ANC and its leaders did not consider Africa to be the dangerous, corrupt, and savage place it is now in Zimbabwe and South Africa . Those Western politicians now have a similar problem looming on their own doorsteps: the demand for power and treasure from the non-Western peoples inside the realm.

"It is already too late for South Africa , but not for America if enough people strengthen their spine and take on the race terrorists, the armies of the "politically correct" and, most dangerous of all, the craven politicians who believe "compassionate conservatism" will buy them a few more votes, a few more days of peace.

"White South Africans, you should remember, have been in that part of Africa for the same amount of time whites have inhabited North America; yet ultimately South Africans voted for their own suicide. We are not so very different from you.

HOW TO LOSE YOUR COUNTRY

"We lost our country through skillful propaganda, pressure from abroad (not least from the U.S.A.), unrelenting charges of "oppression" and "racism," and the shrewd assessment by African tyrants that the white man has many Achilles' heels, the most significant of which are his compassion, his belief in the "equality of man," and his "love your neighbor" philosophy - none of which are part of the Third World's history.

"The mainline churches played a big role in the demise of Western influence throughout Africa, too; especially in South Africa . Today's tyrants were yesterday's mission-school protégés. Many dictators in Africa were men of the cloth. They knew their clerical collars would deflect criticism and obfuscate their real aims, which had nothing whatever to do with the "brotherhood of man."

"Other tyrants, like the infamous Idi Amin, were trained and schooled by the whites themselves, at Oxford , Cambridge , and Harvard. After receiving the best from the West, they unleashed a resentful bloodlust against their benefactors.

"From what I have seen and read thus far, I fear Americans will capitulate just as we did. Americans are, generally, a soft lot. They don't want to quarrel or obstruct the claims of those who believe they were wronged. They like peace and quiet, and they want to compromise and be nice.

LACK OF COURAGE TO STAND FOR PRINCIPLES

"A television program that aired in South Africa showed a town meeting somewhere in Southern California where people met to complain about falling standards in the schools. Whites who politely spoke at the meeting clearly resented the influx of Mexican immigrants into their community. When a handful of Chicanos at the back of the hall shouted and waved their hands at them, the whites simply shrunk back into their seats rather than tell the noisemakers to shut up. They didn't want to quarrel.

"In America , the courts are still the final arbiters of society's laws. But what will happen when your future majority refuses to abide by court rulings - as in Zimbabwe . What will happen when the new majority says the judges are racists, and that they refuse to acknowledge "white man's justice"? What will happen when the courts are filled with their people, or their sympathizers? In California , Proposition 187 has already been overturned.

"That will you do when the future non-white majority decides to change the names of streets and cities? What will you do when they no longer want to use money that carries the portraits of old, dead white "racists" and slave owners? Will you cave in, like you did on flying the Confederate flag? What about the national anthem? Your official language?

CHANGE YOU CAN EXPECT

"Don't laugh. When the "majority" took over in South Africa , the first targets were our national symbols.

"In another generation, America may well face what Africa is now experiencing - invasions of private land by the "have-nots;" the decline in health care quality; roads and buildings in disrepair; the banishment of your history from the education of the young; the revolutionization of your justice system.

"In South Africa today, only 9 percent of murderers end up in jail. Court dockets are regularly purchased and simply disappear. Magistrates can be bribed as can the prison authorities, making escapes commonplace. Vehicle and airplane licenses are regularly purchased, and forged school and university certificates are routine.

"What would you think of the ritual slaughter of animals in your neighbor's backyard? How do you clean up the blood and entrails that litter your suburban streets? How do you feel about the practice of witchcraft, in which the parts of young girls and boys are needed for "medicinal" purposes? How do you react to the burning of witches?

"Don't laugh. All that is quite common in South Africa today.

"Don't imagine that government officials caught with their fingers in the till will be punished. Excuses - like the need to overcome generations of white racism - will be found to exonerate the guilty.

"In fact, known criminals will be voted into office because of a racial solidarity among the majority that doesn't exist among the whites. When Ian Smith of the old Rhodesia tried to stand up to the world, white South African politicians were among the Westerners pressuring him to surrender.

"When Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe murders his political opponents, ignores unfavorable court decisions, terrorizes the population and siphons off millions from the state treasury for himself and his friends, South Africa 's new President Thabo Mbeki holds his hand and declares his support. That just happened a few weeks ago.

"Your tax dollars will go to those who don't earn and don't pay. In South Africa , organizations that used to have access to state funds such as old age homes, the arts, and veterans' services, are simply abandoned.

"What will happen is that Western structures in America will be either destroyed from without, or transformed from within, used to suit the goals of the new rulers. And they will reign either through terror, as in Zimbabwe today, or exert other corrupt pressures to obtain, or buy votes. Once power is in the hands of aliens, don't expect loyalty or devotion to principle from those whose jobs are at stake. One of the most surprising and tragic components of the disaster in South Africa is how many previously anti-ANC whites simply moved to the other side.

Once you lose social, cultural, and political dominance, there is no getting it back again.

"Unfortunately, your habits and values work against you. You cannot fight terror and street mobs with letters to your Congressmen You cannot fight accusations of racism with prayer meetings. You cannot appeal to the goodness of your fellow man when the fellow man despises you for your weaknesses and hacks off the arms and legs of his political opponents.

WHAT ILLEGAL ALIENS WANT

"To survive, Americans must never lose the power they now enjoy to people from alien cultures. Above all, don't put yourselves to the test of fighting only when your backs are against the wall. You will probably fail.

"Millions around the world want your good life. But make no mistake: They care not for the high-minded ideals of Thomas Jefferson and George Washington, and your Constitution. What they want are your possessions, your power, and your status.

ALLIES OF THE ALIENS

"And they already know that their allies among you, the "human rights activists," the skillful lawyers and the left-wing politicians will fight for them, and not for you. They will exploit your compassion and your Christian charity, and your good will.

"They have studied you, Mr. and Mrs. America , and they know your weaknesses well.

"They know what to do.

"Do you?"
