Go for Broke(red) GOP Convention!

It is my belief that Governor Mitt Romney is a complete con man. At the core of his being is a liberal, socialist in the mold of Barack Obama. He’s been accurately labeled as being “Obama Lite.” He lies when he now claims to be a Conservative. He does so in order to gain the GOP nomination. He is devoid of principle. The Etch-a-Sketch candidate will morph into the mushy moderate-to-liberal political hack that he is, if and when (God forbid) he secures the GOP nomination!
Indeed, that is an all-too-accurate depiction of who Willard Mitt Romney is. Like Bob Dole, George H.W. Bush, and John McCain before him, he is the GOP establishment elite selection. And like these predecessors, he would be defeated in a general election.

An Obama-Romney contest for President would be like Presidential failures George H. W. "No New Taxes" Bush versus Jimmy "Worst President Ever Until Barack Obama Came Along" Carter. It would be the battle for the title of biggest loser!
America’s best hope and best bet is for a brokered GOP convention, in which a real conservative might emerge as the candidate the base and grassroots can support. I, for one, could not support Mr. Romney in any way. Hopefully, most Americans and Republicans will not be conned by the neither the GOP nor by the slick ads of the self-described “conservative,” charlatan Romney.
I am growing increasingly disappointed with the likes of Senator Marco Rubio and other so-called conservative leaders who are coming out in support of the liberal con man Romney. Instead, we should be demanding someone who personifies and who has demonstrated that he believes in and has applied conservative principles and the U.S. Constitution while in office and not merely mouthed platitudes in order to get elected!

FRC Action CORRECTED Voter Guide

I begin this post by quoting a parable from our Lord Jesus Christ:

28 But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard. 29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. 30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not. 31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.  Matt 21:28-32 (KJV)

Last week I received a voter guide from “the legislative affiliate of the Family Research Council” (FRC Action).  I think they made quite a few mistakes.  I decided to help them out and correct some of the errors.  The reason for many of their “mistakes” was that they listened to what the candidates said, rather than reporting how they voted.  Here is the CORRECTED FRC Action Voter Guide, followed by the references to back it up:

Mitt Romney's Record

This is a series of articles which gives voting record information about 2012 presidential candidates.  Most of the references given are from thomas.loc.gov, an official government website which is part of the Library of Congress.  Hopefully, this information will help you to make a decision about who you are going to vote for.  Also included is a brief biography and information about endorsements made by the candidate.  Today's candidate is Mitt Romney.  Click here to read about Ron Paul's Voting record and click here to read Rick Santorum's record.

Mitt Romney has not served in Congress, therefore no information for him comes from thomas.loc.gov.   I didn’t dig too deep into Romney’s record because it was easy enough for me to eliminate him from consideration based on what he says and a few well-known examples of his poor record.

Abortion and Healthcare

Mitt Romney has flip-flopped on abortion in his speeches. [1] The Massachusetts universal healthcare program which he signed into law contains a mandate to purchase health insurance very similar to the mandate contained in the federal healthcare legislation passed in 2010.  This Romney is quoted as saying that he “gave the people of Massachusetts what they wanted.”

To the best of my ability, I found nothing explicitly mentioning abortion in the bill which Romney signed.  However, this means that, like the federal Title X funding of Planned Parenthood through the DHHS (which Gingrich and Santorum repeatedly voted for), there is nothing in it to prevent taxpayer’s money from being distributed by the program’s administrators to Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers.  The program Romney adopted for his state as Governor is somewhat worse than DHHS appropriations bills because there is nothing in it to say the money cannot also be used directly for any type of abortion, whereas in the bills that Gingrich and Santorum voted for, the money can only be used directly to murder some babies in somewhat rare circumstances and to support abortion indirectly by funding Planned Parenthood for services other than abortions.  But in Massachusetts, a woman can get an abortion with a copayment of only $50--the Massachusetts taxpayer pays the rest of the cost through the healthcare system created by the bill which Romney signed into law.  (Poorer women only have to pay $10 or nothing at all under this plan.)  The law (I believe--the reader can correct me if you know otherwise) did not mandate this, but power was given to administrators (unelected, God-hating, bureaucrats) to make these decisions. [2-6]

Mitt Romney did not sign the Susan B. Anthony’s List pro-life pledge. [7]

Romney is a Mormon, and the Mormon Church President issued a proclamation that abortions are acceptable in cases of rape, incest, and some types of birth defects.  Romney seems to have echoed that position in speeches he has made over the last five years.

Education

Romney claims to favor expansion of school choice and number of charter schools. He decries power and influence of teachers unions. He says he believes that abstinence education should be given to all students.

Energy and the Environment

Claims (beware!) to be a proponent of expanding oil exploration and drilling in U.S.

Gun Rights

Claims (beware!) to be a strong supporter of gun owners' rights.

Marriage and Gay Rights

As governor of Massachusetts, ordered town clerks to begin issuing marriage licenses to homosexual couples and previously stated that he supports gay marriage.  But now he says he is against gay marriage and supports a federal marriage amendment defining marriage as being between one man and one woman. In 1994 said he favored "gays and lesbians being able to serve openly and honestly" in the military -- but by 2008, opposed repeal of the military ban on homosexuals.  [1-2]

War on Terrorism

“Calls for completion of non-nuclear ballistic missile defense system, increasing defense budget, adding more troops as well as naval vessels and aircraft. Says terrorists should not have access to civil courts or be imprisoned on U.S. soil. Says he would work with moderate Muslims to defeat jihadism; stop Iran from developing or acquiring nuclear weapons; and strongly stand with allies such as Israel and Poland.”

Believes securing U.S. border is number-one priority. Opposes amnesty or easier pathway to citizenship over those already in line. Says illegal immigrants should be required to return to their home country. Also believes federal funding should be reduced for "sanctuary cities."

Please, Not Willard Mitt Romney in 2012!

Enjoy this long, but funny and informative YouTube video on Willard Mitt Romney, as I did. Mitt Romney is soooooo unqualified to be President, only Barack Hussein Obama may be less qualified … Gov. Romney by far is the worst GOP candidate of the five remaining. He has absolutely no core convictions, except maybe that he'll do or say anything to become President of the United States.

Hat tip goes to http://barnhardt.biz/ where I came across this video.

MittvMitt.com: The story of two men trapped in one body

If former Governor Mitt Romney becomes the GOP nominee for President, Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the radical leftist dominated Democratic Party will have a field day attacking Mr. Romney as they did in the ad shown below. That is why should be defeated in the primaries and a real conservative be matched against the radical leftist who now occupies the White House.

SUPER PAC ATTACK: Santorum is New Target of Romney

Here is a good assessment of what happened in the Iowa caucus and a projection of the future GOP campaign among the remaining candidates. Hat tip goes to NewsMax.com for the video below.

Political analysts are saying that Mitt Romney is having trouble generating enthusiasm among Iowa voters. Now, ladies and gentlemen, you know you have a problem when people in Iowa find you dull.

Here’s an 'Mittsant Replay' of Mitt Romney's Flip Flops

The video below was apparently produced by Gov. Jon Huntsman’s campaign. They did well in capturing the essence of Gov. Romney! Romney is the quintessential RINO.

Funny Video: ‘Peanuts’ Characters Star in GOP Debate Remake

Hat tip goes to ConservativeByte.com where I first saw this very funny video satirizing one of the recent GOP debates. It was produced by the Jimmy Kimmel TV Show. It pokes fun at the jousting that went on between Governors Perry and Romney.

In the cartoon YouTube video Charlie Brown plays Mitt Romney, while Lucy plays Rick Perry.  Another ‘Peanuts” character plays Herman Cain. It is refreshingly funny.

If Americans are “bumps in the road,” then …

If Americans are “bumps in the road," then President Obama is a fault-like pothole on the road to (economic) recovery.

Hat tip goes to the HotAirPundit for posting this new online campaign video. According to this YouTube video of Mitt Romney’s campaign ad, “This video shows President Obama's failure to create jobs for millions of unemployed Americans and shows that the unemployed are not just economic statistics, but are real Americans looking to support themselves and their families.” I am no supporter of recycled RINO flip-flopping Romney, however, this video is right on the money.

RomneyCare inspired ObamaCare!

Mitt Romney says the first thing he’d do as President is undo ObamaCare.

“Of course, that way he can replace it with RomneyCare!”

We do not need another fake conservative. They tried that with McCain in '08. We need the real thing. How about Herman Cain, Alan West, or Thaddeous McCotter?

Before You Vote for Either McCain or Romney

Just Look at Their Records!

RoeGone.org has produced two commercials exposing the two apparent leaders in the Republican race for President. Both claim to be more conservative than the other. These ads question whether either are conservative AT ALL!

John McCain: “My Conservative Record” (NOT!)

Here is a transcript of the above video for those that are not able to view the YouTube.com video above:

Three Critical issues:

Protecting Life

Protecting Free Speech

Protecting Marriage

Senator John McCain favors FORCING taxpayers to fund Embryonic Stem Cell Research, which the National Right to Life Committee says, "Requires the KILLING of human embryos.

"McCain violated our free speech rights with the notorious McCain-Feingold Act. McCain personally sued the Wisconsin Right to Life for communicating with theiur members directly during an election.

John McCain is only one of seven Republican Senators who voted AGAINST the Marriage Protection Amendment supported by President Bush.

The homosexual Log Cabin Republicans call him a Republican "hero" for (homosexuals) and lesbians and no wonder, Chris Mathews asked: "Should (homosexual) marriage be allowed? McCain: "I think that (homosexual) marriage should be allowed if there is a ceremony kind of thing, if you want to call it that.

George Stephanopoulos asked him, "are you against civil unions for (homosexual) couples?" McCain: "No, I am I am not.

"John McCain:

AGAINST PROTECTING LIFE

AGAINST PROTECTING FREE SPEECH

AGAINST PROTECTING MARRIAGE

This certainly is not how this "conservative" imposter portrays himself in the media or on the stump, but it is who he is.

Mitt Romney: “Look at My Record” (Are You Sure, Mitt?)

Here is the revealing script of the video that was suspiciously removed from YouTube.com just prior to the Super Tuesday Primaries.

“In the Florida (GOP) debate Governor Mitt Romney said, “I can point to a very simple way to find out exactly where I stand, and that is look at my record as Governor.”

“As Governor Mitt Romney issued an executive order forcing Justices of the Peace to perform homosexual weddings or resign.

“Then he ordered wedding licenses changed to read “Party A” and “Party B” instead of “husband” and “wife.”

“Then he appointed a board member of the Lesbian and (Homosexual) Bar Association to the bench.

"Then he appointed more Democrat judges than Republicans.

"Then he authored and signed a mandatory health insurance plan backed by (Senator) Ted Kennedy including taxpayer funded abortion on demand, and

"As governor Romney overruled his own Health Department and FORCED Catholic hospitals to distribute the Morning After Abortion Pill.

· HOMOSEXUAL MARRIAGE

· TAXPAYER FUNDED ABORTION

· CATHOLIC HOSPITAL MORNING AFTER PILL

· HOMOSEXUAL ACTIVIST JUDGES"

That, I am afraid, that is the Romney record as Governor. Very Bad.

TAKE ACTION

If you will be voting one of the Super Tuesday Primary Election Debates and you are a Conservative and/or a Christian, I have three words for you: Huckabee or Paul.

That’s all.

None of the Above

Media Certified, Sanctioned, & Approved Candidates

Super Tuesday Primary Ballot

___ Barack Hussein Obama (D) Radical Liberal
___ Hillary Diane Rodham-Cliniton (D) Radical Liberal
___ John Sidney McCain III (RINO) Moderate-Liberal
___ Willard Mitt Romney (RINO) Moderate-Liberal
_X_ None of the Above
.
That is the correct vote, 'None of the Above.' The four named above are the sanitized candidates being prescribed by the main stream media to an apathetic and unthinking America. They all are liberals to some degree. Some like Wilard Mitt Romney and John Sidney McCain III try to deceive and to hide their liberal core beliefs, which have been clearly demonstrated by their actions and their votes in years past. They evoke the name of Ronald Reagan trying to snow the masses to believe they are sincere followers of this great conservative President.
.
Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Diane Rodhan-Clinton are unashamedly liberal for the most part unless they are in a church or in the South. They vie for the nefarious claim of which is more pro-death (pro-abortion) and pro-homosexual than the other.
.
My friends these are all lousy candidates. Can't America do better? America needs a true conservative to lead us during the next 4 to 8 years not rehashed Bush-Clinton-Bush bumbling and fumbling.
.
The closest we have on the present horizon is Governor Mike Huckabee, which really isn't saying much. He does apparently strongly support life and marriage, which none the front four in reality do, so that is a start. He is the marginally acceptable candidate right now. Even Congressman Ron Paul is better than those up-front-four.

McCain is a R.I.N.O. at Best

A Michael Ramirez Cartoon TownHall.com 1/29/08.

Senator John McCain is definitely no conservative. He is barely a Republican. He's more of a R.I.N.O., a Republican in name only.

I got a laugh when former Massachusetts (bastion of liberalism) Governor Mitt "Flip" Romney and Senator John "Amnesty" McCain got into a name calling contest over the weekend. Each called each other the "L" word. When I got news for you both. You BOTH are right. You both are liberals in disguise. You both are playing the part of a conservative to get elected. Well, I have news for you both, neither of you would have my vote. Anyone who will not take a stronger position that the two of you on pro-life and protecting traditional marriage during your careers is undeserving of my vote. You both are more Democrat Socialists than Republican Conservatives!

The Senator Hillary Rodham-Clinton Experience

Friend of AGC . . ., T.D., sends us the following analogy that has significant political application to the current race for President.

QUARTERBACK FOR THE PACKERS . . .

”In a news conference Deanna Favre announced she will be the starting QB for the Packers this coming Sunday. Deanna asserts that she is qualified to be starting QB because she has spent the past 16 years married to Brett while he played QB for the Packers. During this period of time she became familiar with the definition of a corner blitz, and is now completely comfortable with other terminology of the Packers’ offense. A survey of Packers’ fans shows that 50% of those polled supported the move.

“Doesn’t this sound idiotic and unbelievable to you? Well, Hillary Clinton makes the same claims as to why she is qualified to be President and 50% of Democrats polled agreed. She has never run a City, County, or State.

“When he was told that Hillary Clinton has experience because she has 8 years in the white house, political consultant to former President Bill Clinton, Dick Morris stated ‘so has the pastry chef’."

CONSERVATIVE FRAUDS . . .

Being an equal opportunity or bipartisan “hater” I must also blast Mitt Romney’s nefarious claim that he is a conservative. He is as much of a conservative as Hillary Rodham-Clinton has the experience necessary to assume the role of President.

I watched a portion of the FoxNews.com GOP debate last night. It took me awhile to figure out how to get connected to the online live streaming (I don’t have either cable or an antenna for my TV). Once I did get connected, about halfway through the debate, I had to turn off the sound whenever Governor Romney, Senator McCann, or Mayor Giuliani spoke.

Those three men are as credible conservatives as Senator Rodham-Clinton is political moderate. Barack H. Obama, John Edwards, Hillary Rodham-Clinton, Rudy Giuliani, John McCann and Mitt Romney are more liberal than anything else. It is just the degree to which they allow their true views to be exposed or known. Strip away the rhetoric and look at their actions, their votes, how they lead in their areas of responsibility, and the causes they championed. It clearly reveals that they are liberals at the core. Mitt Romney’s Mormonism isn’t even a factor. His liberal tendencies alone are sufficient for me to reject him as a candidate for whom I would vote. All six, to a great extent, are interchangeable parts and therefore unacceptable to lead this nation.

Additionally, I fear that fellow blogger, Matt, may be more right than wrong in what he wrote about Governor Mike Huckabee in yesterday’s article. Huckabee seems to have the same tendencies that I missed in George W. Bush when I voted twice for that so-called compassionate “conservative.”

Phony or fraud seems to be the descriptive and bipartisan word of the moment for the vast majority of men and woman currently in the Presidential race.
