I'm An Increasingly Reluctant Republican Supporter, Here's Why

THE "ELECTION-TIME CONSERVATIVE" GOP NEEDS MY HELP

I received an especially offensive, yet hilarious fundraising letter today from some fellow named Chris Carr, who is the Director of Panhandling for the Republican Party. He claimed that he needed my help and that I need to fill his outstretched pauper's cup. Well here is the original solicitation so you can see it for yourself, and my emailed response to Mr. Carr follows.

We need your help. Please don't glance over this. |

Fellow
Conservative, you are our Party’s only hope. [Why? Because our hopeless feckless people in congress refuse to take principled stands on any of the issues...]
We must raise $18,726 by MIDNIGHT TONIGHT or we will start the election already behind the Democrats.

If Hillary or Bernie wins in 2016, Obama’s dream to fundamentally change America will become a reality.

I know you want to stop them and elect a Republican president in 2016. And yes, it will be a Republican.

But it WILL NOT happen unless we have the resources to win.
This is the LAST fundraising deadline before voting starts.

Our candidates are relying on us to secure the resources to win [and stay in power, and do nothing except preserve the status-quo?]. And after Obama’s litany of failures, they stand a chance of winning.

Americans have spent the last seven years watching our president tour the world apologizing for the greatest country ever to exist.

We’ve experienced the worst terrorist attack since 9/11. We’ve seen $150 billion shoveled over to the greatest state sponsor of terrorism on the planet. We’ve seen ISIS terrorize the free world.
To think that another liberal elitist could “lead” this country makes me sick.

This November, I don’t want to just beat the Democrats, I want to usher in a CRUSHING victory -- sending a message that America refuses four more years of failure and disaster.

Losing is not an option. We must win.

And that means hitting our budget by MIDNIGHT.

Fellow Conservative, I will personally see to it that you helped our Party meet this goal.

I trust you won’t disappoint me.
Stand up to Obama, fight for our candidates, and make January the best month in conservative history.

Thanks,

Chris Carr
Political Director
Republican National Committee

Isn't it ironic that RNC is asking me to stand up to President Obama, when the GOP members of both houses of Congress will not? It is also outrageous that use the mantle of "conservative" only during campaigns. After winning the past two elections these bold "conservatives" morph into mild Mindy's who go-along-to-get-along. Enough I say enough! Here is my irate response to Mr. Carr:

Chris Carr -

Sorry, but I only support conservative candidates, Mr. Carr. I send money directly to their websites or to the Senate Conservative Fund. I do not want my funds allocated to the John Kasichs John McCains or Rob Portmans of the so-called Republican Party. I am very very disappointed that the congressional GOP leadership and many members have not stood up the Democrat's and the President's hurtful Progressive agenda. Instead, they fully funded it with the omnibus bill with little or no real opposition!

It is just outrageous that Planned Parenthood, the Syrian Refugee Resettlement Program, the President's Executive Amnesty and ObamaCare are all funded to the amazement and satisfaction of Harry Reid, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Debbie Schultz and Barack Obama!

It may be time for a third party to emerge because both the Democrats and the Republicans seem to be working hand in hand. Not a penny more!

Omnibus Spending Bill, Winners & Losers

Pelosi and Democrats Gleeful After Soundly Defeating Republicans

Omnibus Spending Bill Winners:

*  The Democrat Party led by President Barrack Obama,
*  House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi,
*  Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid,
*  The Planned Parenthood Federation of America
*  Muslim Syrian Refugees
*  Islamic Terrorists

Omnibus Spending Losers:

*  America
*  The Republican voter base
*  Taxpayers
*  Tea Party members
*  Conservatives
*  Pro-Life supporters

Including the Republican Party
Voter Base

While the Democrats celebrate the monstrous Omnibus, which funds nearly all of their perverse progressive agenda, Rush Limbaugh suggests the GOP only makes only excuses for its inaction, and intentionally has disenfranchised its voting base, with the intent on broadening its appeal to non-conservative voters.

Basically the passage of the Omnibus Spending Bill today, December 18, 2015, was the willful not-so-sweet-surrender by establishment-led Republicans of both Houses of Congress to the Democrat Party Progressive Agenda. There was not an iota of real resistance. The GOP intentionally gave up their constitutional-given Power of the Purse in return apparently for keeping the bloated government from shutting down and preserving the status quo.

My Congressman, Pat Tiberi (RINO - OH 12) voted for Planned Parenthood funding, Muslim Syrian Refugee Resettlement Program of Obama, ObamaCare, and Obama's Executive Amnesty. Senator Rob Portman (RINO - OH) voted against the spending bill.

The Neutering of the Republican Party in Congress

Why in the world would the GOP so completely relinquish their power of the "purse to the purse" to the President and to Ms. Pelosi and Senator Reid in the Congress without any fight for basic party principles in the deliberation over the massive year-end appropriations spending bill introduced this week?

I am very disappointed, frustrated and discouraged with the current state of the Republican Party. Why did we work to help the GOP gain the Senate and increase House membership? We are about to witness today, December 18, 2015, the complete and utter cave-in of the GOP to the Democrat Party perverse progressive agenda of
Barack Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. There has been no apparent change in the actions of Paul Ryan who appears to be a regurgitation of
John Boehner, Boehner 2.0. All talk and no action. The Party surrenders it principles for what reason I do not know. Is it with the avoiding confrontation with the hope of maintaining power and/or the status quo?

Here is the email I just sent to my two RINO reps in Congress. I don't expect that they will do anything, however.

To:  Senator Rob Portman (R-OH)
        Congressman Pat Tiberi (R-OH 12)

Re:  Omnibus Appropriations Bill

Please do not vote for the Omnibus Bill today. It funds every major point of the Obama/Democrat Progressive Agenda including:

* ObamaCare
* Syrian Refugee Resettlement Program
* Planned Parenthood
* Obama's Executive Amnesty

Why in the world would the GOP so completely relinquish their power of the purse to the President and to Ms. Pelosi and Senator Reid without any fight for basic party principles?

I am very disappointed, frustrated and discouraged with the current state of the Republican Party. Why did we work to help the GOP gain the Senate and increase House membership?

Here's What Feckless Unprincipled Leadership Looks Like

IGNORING THE OUTRAGE

U.S. Senate Majority "Leader" Senator Mitch McConnell (RINO-KY) is ignoring the outrage of both Pro-Life and Pro-Abortion individuals around the nation, who were both concerned about the recent investigative reports about the variety of Planned ParentHOOD exposed atrocities. Or maybe he is willfully blinded to the inhumanity, the horror, the misbehavior, the wanton evil that is Planned ParentHOOD. This evening he joined with radical defenders of the indefensible, the likes of Senator Sherrod Brown (Radical Liberal-OH) and voted NO on the defunding  of Planned ParentHOOD.

The final vote was 53 YES and 46 NO. The bill needed 60 votes to pass.

OUT OF TOUCH, OR JUST TOUCHED

This vote seems to me to be just another indication that both the Senate and the House need new GOP leadership. The current GOP "leadership" is less than ineffective. They continue to drop the ball on seemingly every issue that conservatives and Republicans fought so hard for in recent elections to gain majority status. Looking purely at the results since the GOP has gained control of both houses of Congress, San Fran Nancy Pelosi and Dirty Harry Reid still are very much in charge and call all the shots, forwarding the President's destructive progressive agenda.

picture from epicgopfail twitter profile

NOTHING HAS CHANGED

We still have fully-funded and expanding ObamaCare. The Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act wallows in the Senate. John Boehner dismissed the House for an much undeserved summer recess before addressing the defunding of the lawless and inhumane Planned Parenthood chamber of horrors. Same with the Senate, where McConnell apparently wanted to avoid confrontation by attaching an amendment to defund Planned Parenthood to the must-pass highway bill and allowed a nearly meaningless stand-alone bill to defund Planned ParentHOOD. This is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

The rallying cry of the GOP seems to be, "Keep the status quo at whatever it costs." The cost may be money or principle.

The Congressional Super Committee is a Super Smokescreen!

Blowing Smoke

My local newspaper, the Mansfield (Ohio) News-Journal ran an editorial from the October 8, 2011 The (Youngstown, Ohio) Vindicator. It was the second paragraph from the editorial titled, “Super committee must live up to its name, which made me see red:

The “Super Committee” … has been charged with the herculean task of crafting a plan to reduce the federal government’s $15 trillion deficit by $1.2 trillion over the next 10 years.

First off, I think the editors used the wrong term in describing the $15 trillion dollar Federal debt. They erroneously referred to it as “deficit.” My understanding is that the deficit applies to the current year’s excess expenditures beyond the revenue or taxes received. Deficit refers to short-term debt accumulated during the fiscal year. The overall Federal Debt is what the so-called “Super-Committee” is charged with reducing.

Second, the editors foolishly characterized the very modest and almost inconsequential reduction in the debt compared to the projected federal debt over the next 10 years  as “herculean.” What a joke.

At the current rate of overspending by this government, the Federal Debt will double in 10 years without the $1.2 trillion dollar reduction called for in the worthless Boehner-Reid-Obama debt deal crafted to “solve” the trumped up crisis that “threatened” to shut the government down this summer. The “reduction” will merely limit slightly the annual rate of growth of the overall federal debt.

What would really deserve the term “herculean” would be to cut current FY 2012 budget by $1.2 trillion dollars. That is the only action which would warrant the term “herculean!” The present Congress and President are truly incapable of any type of extraordinary efforts to curb government’s voracious spending habit!

We must go to a zero-based budget each year. We must demand that each agency or department justify their budget requests. We must move toward a balanced budget using the Cut, Cap and Balance approach or the (Representative Connie) Mack Penny Plan to get control of our runaway government spending that is killing our economy and country.

We need a new President and a new Congress in 2012, because this Congress and the GOP establishment headed by House Speaker John Boehner and Democratic Party establishment headed by President Barack Obama and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid are absolutely unwilling and unable to do the job that they have been entrusted to perform.

The “Super Committee” is not a serious attempt to fix the Federal debt. It is a smokescreen put up by the President and Congress to pretend to be doing something, but all while incurring a larger and larger deficit each year!

Is Black Monday on the Horizon?

Hat tip to Anthony Martin, for his article, “Ahead--BlackMonday, 2011?" In the Conservative Examiner.

Barack Obama, John Boehner, Harry Reid, Mitch McConnell, and Nancy Pelosi you own the debt downgrade debacle. Now you must wear it. Now you must fix it without more taxes ... You are all Beltway Addicts addicted to SPENDING. You need a major intervention. One such intervention will be the elections in May and November 2012. You are warned ...

Furthermore, this Deficit and Debt is not a Lack-of-Tax problem it is an OVER-SPENDING problem. You spend money you do not have. You are spending on things that we do not need. You continue to borrow beyond our means.

Budget 101:

If we have 2.4 T in Income

if we spend 3.8 T

Then we have a Deficit or Shortfall of 1.4 T

What about this picture do you Mr. President, John Boehner, Harry Reid and the rest of Congress not understand? Simply, our expenditures should be limited by our income. Respectfully, I ask are you all smarter than a fifth grader? I sure doesn't seem like you are based on your actions ...

Budget Battle: Dems trying to game GOP

“The game is simply how much can the Obama, Pelosi, Reid axis of fiscal evil game the Republicans. How much can they get the GOP to give up? What can they do that might give them a shot at turning 2012 from a disaster to only a bad year?

“… Obama, Pelosi and Reid know what they want. They want fictional budget cuts that will be played out over years in the future. They want these delayed budget cuts that can be undone by future congresses. They also want tax increases. ” --- Judson Phillip, in the www.TeaPartyNation.com article, "The game is afoot," 7/5/2011.

In the article quoted above the author expresses the hope that House Speaker Boehner will not get suckered or played by the axis of fiscal evil into agreeing to any kind of tax increases and thereby alienating the GOP base that so invigorated a dying political party last November. These are real tax increases the Dems want to extricate from the Republicans. Tax increases will fuel their wanton spending, while simultaneously driving forward their socialist agenda and appeasing their multi-diverse special interests.

This same axis of evil will promise meaningless mega future budget cuts, but will give little up in terms of immediate spending curtailment. In other words, they will lie with abandon to get their way. They will use lying in the same way that Muslims use it to accomplish their political-militarist-religious goals. The end justifies the means.

The Republican Congressional leaders will doom themselves, their party and America if they do not heed the cry of their base and the majority of Americans with a single minded purpose to stop the wasteful spending that continues to drive up the deficit and debt of our nation. If this causes a government shutdown over raising the debt roof, so be it. If the Republicans cave on this issue, like they meekly did on the FY2011 budget fiasco, many will be looking for new careers!

The Dems strategy is to “Take a mile and give an inch.”

Lame Duck Congress To-Do it to US list, part 2

This is the second of a two-part series discussing some of the bills that will be taken up by the lame duck Congress between now and Christmas. You can review part 1 here.

Here are two more large ticket items that we can expect that this miserable radical-left led 111st Congress will try to pass between now and Christmas:

·                    ·                  The nightmarish DREAM Act rises its ugly head once more. Commenting on this dastardly disguised amnesty legislation, the folks at TeaPartyNation.com wrote in an email to me, “This week shows the utter contempt the liberals in Congress have for the American people.  Despite the fact the American people sent the word back, through the elections, in no uncertain terms, we do not want their agenda; the liberals are dead set on pushing it through in their final gasp.” The obstinate Harry Reid led Senate sometime this week is going to take up the DREAM act again. Once more we must do all we can to stop it.

If you have missed the features of this disastrous bill, they include:

Illegals under 35 (at least for now), can apply for legal status if they have a high school diploma or a GED and have enrolled in an “institution of higher learning.”

They have to only complete “two years” of a program and they have eight years to get that done.

Once they complete this two-year program, then they are eligible for citizenship.

If the illegal cannot complete his two-year program within eight years, they can apply for a waiver if they show their deportation would cause a hardship to a family member, a permanent US resident or to THEMSELVES!

Any information the illegal provides cannot be used against them for deportation proceedings!

Just by APPLYING for the DREAM act, all deportation proceedings are stopped.

Even worse, illegal alien criminals are not excluded from the DREAM act.  They can participate, even if they have committed felonies in America

And once someone is legalized under this measure, they can legalize all the members of their families to come to America.

·                    ·                    S 510, the so-called food safety bill will try to be passed by the Democrat led Congress. This bill is just another grab for power to control the food supply and limit the rights of the people. Like ObamaCare it is an intrusion in an area that may need some reform, but not the massive revamping called for by this bill. It could impact the local farmer’s market or our own vegetable gardens.

Diana Katz on the RepublicanAmerican website wrote, “Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., reportedly is pursuing a vote on a massive expansion of food regulation. Proponents contend the very security of America's food supply is at stake. Rhetoric aside, the nation's food supply has never been safer, thanks largely to technological advances and market forces. Consequently, granting vast new powers to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) would raise the cost of food without increasing consumer protection.”

I like Katz's conclusion which could sum up much of what will be attempted during this unpleasant present lame duck session of Congress, "The Reid bill clearly contradicts the message sent by voters just three weeks ago: Americans do not want and cannot afford more unnecessary regulation and expansion of government. This proposal constitutes a costly and ineffective answer to a manufactured crisis."

You can read her entire article, “Food safety bill a bad idea” here.

Election 2010: Losers, Winners, & What Now?

updated 11-6-10 with insertion of another winner, Oklahoma ...

Ever since the 2006 Election I have been increasingly interested in the politics. 2006 was the year the American electorate rejected another president, George W. Bush, and what he and his Republican Congress was doing and not doing. In Ohio the then Senator Mike DeWine, the ‘moderate’ Republican was running for re-election as a fake conservative and was beaten by a seething socialist, Sherrod Brown. That got my attention. Both the inferior candidate that the Republicans offered, as well as the typical liberal fare served up of late by the Democrats.

Fast forward to 2010, 2 years of a very liberal socialist regime, which followed a compromised ‘compassionate conservative’ Bush, TARP, nationalization of banking, insurance and automobile industries, a near trillion dollar Stimulus bill, earmarks galore, ObamaCare, mishandling of the Gulf oil crisis, etc. I joined the national wave of Tea Party Movement and Town Halls which reacted to the above named destructive policies and legislation. The General Election of 2010 was referred to correctly as the Ultimate Tea Party. The people made their voice heard to a deaf Congress.

Who were the winners and the losers in this election?

THE LOSERS

California. In a state already in disarray and debt ridden, the stupid electorate chose hippie Jerry Brown over marijuana. They chose the very liberal and very pompous Senator Barbara “please don’t call me ma’am” Boxer as their Senator. Most likely Brown will follow Joe Biden’s unseemly advice and try to spend his way out of the terrible economic crisis this once proud and prosperous state in which it is immersed. The voters in the Los Angeles area also rejected a conservative jewel, Star Parker, in her race for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. I sincerely hope that the 112th and future Congresses will hold firm on NOT offering this foolish state any bailout assistance for their foolhardy fiscal irresponsibility.

Nevada. Likewise, a state burdened by a 14% unemployment rate, caused to a great degree by the policies and the legislation pushed and passed by the Harry Reid led Democratic Congress, voted to renew the employment contract of this royal mis-manager of America’s and Nevada’s resources. By voting to retain this little liberal tyrant, they told him to continue his destructive ways for six more years! They turned down a forthright conservative Sharron Angle, who would have brought fiscal and social integrity to the Congress.

Colorado. I am certainly glad I moved from Colorado when I did years ago. First, the people rejected the Pro-Life Personhood Amendment. They denied the basic right to life for human beings from the moment of the conception. This is a clear violation of God’s law, which transcend Roe v. Wade or any other man-made law. That alone would bring shame on the people of Colorado. They also rejected Tom Tancredo as their governor. Here is a man who as a conservative concerned about the growing illegal alien invasion which continues across our unsecured borders. Instead they elevate the Mayor of Denver, a sanctuary city, to the powerful position of Governor.

To add insult to injury in the race for U.S. Senator, Ken Buck fell 1 point short of victory. Buck is a true conservative. His opponent told KUNC radio, “People don't want to eliminate government, and they don't want big government. They want an efficient, effective government that works hard for them or gets out of the way." Then why in God's green earth would they elect you, Senator Bennet one who walks in lock step with that terrible triumvirate Soetoro/Obama-Pelosi-Reid?

THE WINNERS

Iowa. The good people of Iowa tossed out the three Supreme Court Justices that voted to permit Homosexual Marriage. What a statement. That kind of gutsy response just never happens. Well it did, and thank God that it did! Can you hear US now? The people of Iowa also returned Chuck Grassley to the U.S. Senate by an almost 2 to 1 margin. Grassley is a key Pro-Life supporter in the Senate.

Ohio. The governorship, the U.S. Senate seat, all the statewide offices including Auditor, Attorney General, Secretary of State, Treasurer and a bunch of seats in the U.S. House went to the Republicans. Blue dog Democrat Zach Space, along with Democrats John Boccieri, Mary Jo Kilroy, and Steve Driehaus all were fired. Good job Ohio! Ohio is now very very red, to match the anger and frustration of its electorate.

Oklahoma.Oklahomans had a ballot issue banning any form of Sharia Law or International Law being recognized in their state. It passed with 70% of the vote!. Thank you, Oklahoma! That ballot should be replicated across America. This is not Islamofascism, it Americanism!

Florida. The greatest winner was Florida, and indirectly America, with the election of the articulate conservative Marco Rubio for the U.S. Senate. If a inexperienced, very liberal, first term Senator from Illinois could win the presidency with his meager resume, Marco Rubio is a shoe-in to be the 45th President! How about a Rubio-Christie ticket? Prepare for a concerted effort on the part of the government-supporting media to do all it can to ruin this stalwart statesman over the next two years! They will make their vicious past attacks on Sarah Palin look paltry by comparison. They surely do not want to see Dear Leader go mano-a-mano with a conservative Hispanic of all people? I predict that Mr. Rubio will be an outstanding leader in the Senate, unlike the one-term Senator from Illinois who did not make much noise or do much of anything in the Senate when he was present.

The Republicans also captured the Governorship. More importantly they dismissed the incorrigible and radical Congressman Alan Grayson and elected a Daniel Webster, literally and figuratively. They also elected a fine black conservative former military officer and conservative Allen West for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Even the extremely liberal Huffington Post acknowledged that, “Political newcomer Steve Southerland, a funeral director from Panama City, rode a wave of tea party enthusiasm and hammered (Alan) Boyd for supporting President Barack Obama's health care overhaul and stimulus program.

REBOOTING AMERICA

This election was a second chance given to America and to the wayward Republican Party. Let’s not screw it up this time, okay. Let’s stick to our principles and not to the socialist principles of the Soetoro/Obama-Reid dangerous duo. We must stand firm. The people want a stop any further degradation caused to this great nation. They want to have our Congressmen and Congresswomen hold up the standard of American Exceptionalism and the values and principles upon with this nation was built to be restored and renewed.

Election 2010: Vote for Freedom, not 'Free' Stuff!

"This election I will be voting for FREEDOM, and not for FREE STUFF."

--- Roy, talk show caller, Friday, 10/29/10

What a great quote. Not sure on what program I heard that wise quote, but I wrote it down while driving in my car. It embodies the urgency and the importance of this election.

in one corner of the proverbial ring, dressed in black trunks and in full Halloween consume, the reigning 'champions' of mayhem and massive debt, the big-government, tax and spend, Pro-Death Democrats, nearly all of them rubber stamps for the Soetoro/Obama-Pelosi-Reid regime and their spooky socialist agenda. We must not forget what this terrible triumvirate and their allies in Congress have done to America these last two years - Bailouts, ObamaCare, Stimulus, Cash for Clunkers, Financial 'Reform,' Abortion Funding, Earmarks, Sotomayor, and Kagan. Most incumbents, Democrats and RINOs, need to be dethroned, fired.

In the other corner and dressed in angry red trunks and wearing revolutionary garb, are a growing number of real conservatives, who have a real chance to get elected and to make a difference in Tuesday's election. Such notables as Sharron Angle in Nevada, Rand Paul in Kentucky, Dino Rossi in Washington, Ken Buck in Missouri, Mike Lee in Utah, Marco Rubio in Florida, Christine O'Donnell in Delaware, Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania, Ron Johnson in Wisconsin, John Raese in West Virginia, and Joe Miller in Alaska. These are the Davids of our day, fighting the Government Goliath. These are the Gideons, the Republican conservative remnant, that will work to defend the constitution and the values and principles that have make America the light on the hill for all the world to see.

Likewise, in the U.S. House there are a growing number of real conservatives, black and white who will do their part in trying to right the sinking, stinking Republican ship. They will try to right and to steer that ship with all that they can in a venerable constitutional direction and in opposition to a party (GOP), which seemingly and unseemly wants to tow the liberal line behind the likes of Lindsey Graham, Olympia Snowe and John McCain.

Countdown: 9 Days to judgment day - Getting out of 'The Obama Zone'!

9 Days until Election 2010

Nevada debate: Sharron handed Harry his hat!

WHAT IS AT STAKE

In the state of Nevada one of the terrible triumvirate, U.S. Senator Harry Reid is running for a 5th term against the Tea Party-supported Sharron Angle, who is also a former member of the Nevada State Assembly. In a real sense Reid is undergoing a performance evaluation. Retirement is looking as a very viable career option for him at this point.

This race is key because Reid forced through the Senate some very unseemly legislation opposed by the majority of Americans, namely ObamaCare, the Stimulus, TARP, etc. In addition, the Nevada economy, thanks to a great deal to the policies of the Soetoro/Obama-Pelosi-Reid Demolition Team, Inc., is one of the worst in the nation. Unemployment sits at 14%, while the national average is under 10%. The debate Thursday night could very well help Angle to stir the Nevada masses sufficiently enough to motivate them to repudiate on November 2nd one of the Democratic Congressional architects of the effort to reshape or change America into a socialistic nirvana.

LAS VEGAS – With polls showing the marquee race of the year a dead heat, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Republican Sharron Angle face off for their sole debate here Thursday with a shared goal: don’t hand the other any more ammunition.

No other campaign in the country features two more gaffe-prone candidates and few contests are as close as the Nevada Senate race, making the stakes for the telecast duel in the desert far higher than for a traditional state race forum…

--- Politico, “Harry Reid, Sharron Angle face off in debate”

THE DEBATE

I must be a glutton for punishment. I watched my second debate in two nights. Tonight’s debate between the two candidates vying to represent Nevada in the U.S. Senate was only 60 minutes long. The format was very simple and the question seemed very fair with only one moderator, who gave equally hard question to both debaters. As expected neither Sharron Angle nor Senator Harry Reid were orators or Teleprompter readers on par with the current occupier of the White House. They lived up to the expectations.

Senator Reid lost the debate, clearly. He seemed to be on the constant defense of his and the President’s loathsome leadership and legislative “accomplishments.” Though not smooth and silver tongued, Sharron Angle communicated well her positions, and I believe the majority of Nevadans and Americans in respect to the politically correct pap promulgated by the soon-to-be-retired Senator and Majority Leader.

Here a some of the key phrases or ideas that I noted during the debate:

Able Angle:

* Optimism * American Exceptionalism * Less Government * Make Permanent Bush Tax Cuts * The Tax Money is the Peoples Money * Use All of Our Natural Resources * Eliminate the Federal Department of Education * Steer Funding Away From Feds to Local Level * Wait for Military Study Before Repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell * Pay Back the Social Security IOUs * Called “Extremist” at least ½ Dozen times * Audit the Federal Reserve * Justice Thomas Favorite Judge * Repeal ObamaCare * Reform Tort Laws * Let the Free Market Work * We Need Competition not Mandates * Give Choices in Health Care Coverage * Secure the Borders First * Enforce the Immigration Laws * English Should Be America’s Official Language

Renegade Reid:

* Renewable Energy Jobs * The War is Lost * The Surge Won’t Work * No Tax Cuts for the Wealthy (Billionaires?) * Pork Buying Politician * Demonized Nuclear Energy Industry * Extreme Environmentalist * Windmills * Housing Bubble * Audit the Federal Reserve * Justice Scalia Favorite Judge * HealthCare Mandates are Needed * Greedy Bankers * Profit is the Wrong Motive * English Already is America’s Official Language * Comprehensive Immigration Reform (Amnesty)

I got a kick out of Angle cajoling of Reid, “Man-up Harry Reid” at one point in the debate, which I think was in relation to the discussion about ObamaCare.

Angle and her ideas and conservative views won the day. Harry Reid tired and tried liberalism lost. He needs to come back to Nevada and maybe read the Constitution he claimed to carry with him at the debate. His actions and policies certainly do not give evidence that he knows or follows the U.S. Constitution.

If the race was tied going into the debate, as some of the pundits and polls portrayed, then Sharron Angle comes out of the debate with high marks and enough momentum to carry her to victory at the most important Tea Party of all, the one to be held at the polling booths across Nevada. Reid’s departure from Congress would have a positive affect on the nation as a whole. It would be a strong repudiation of the Democrats move to change America from a Democratic Republic to a Socialistic State as they have been doing the past two or more years.

See Sharron run. Watch Harry fall.

Remember in November to fire Harry Reid
