It's Imperative: Keep the Ohio Supreme Court Conservative in 2020

(Mansfield, Ohio) The Richland County Republican Party held its regular 1st Monday Luncheon today with Ohio Supreme Court Justice Judith French as its featured speaker.

Justice French, is one of the conservative members of the current Ohio Supreme Court. In 2020 she and Justice Sharon Kennedy, the other conservative justice on the Ohio Supreme Court will both be running for re-election.

In response to a question from the audience Justice French briefly discussed the case in which she won as an attorney working for the State of Ohio before the U.S. Supreme Court.  The case involved the Cleveland School Voucher Program, which allowed kids attending failed Cleveland Schools to attend private schools including parochial schools. Apparently the program was allowed to continue.

"Judge Judi" mentioned the need for both fundraising and with friend-raising.  Using social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. – to get the word out about electing conservative justices for the Ohio Supreme Court would be of great help in reelecting both Justices’ Judi French and Sharon Kennedy.

She also urged members of the audience not to sit out the next election and to do all they can to help to retain herself and fellow—conservative Justice Sharon Kennedy in the November 2020 General Election.

She offered a suggestion– the acrostic – KFC – for remembering for whom to vote for in the November 2020 for the Ohio Supreme Court:

            SHARON KENNEDY
               JUDITH FRENCH
OHIO SUPREMECOURT

Tragically, in 2016 two liberal justices replaced two conservative judges on the Ohio Supreme Court. It was mostly out of ignorance and maybe out of insufficient financial support for the candidate by the GOP. Ohio Supreme Court elections outcomes are often due primarily to name recognition and not so much to judicial philosophy. The party affiliations are not noted on the ballot.

In Morrow County, a conservative-voting county, the two liberal Democrats won more votes than did the conservative justices on the ballot. This is a big deal. If two more liberal or leftist justices are elected in 2020 the to the Ohio Supreme Court it could be lost to the leftists and it would have tremendous repercussions for religious liberty, the right to life issue, and more.

Trump “Eulogizes” Ex-President Jimmy Carter at CPAC

NewsMax.com regularly emails me a feature they call “Late Night Jokes.” They share some of the “jokes” of hosts of the late night shows. I always ignore Letterman. Most of the jokes are not worth retelling, however, a few are, and here is one:

The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon:

"The Conservative Political Action Conference is still going on down in Washington, D.C. And yesterday, Donald Trump was giving a speech, when he accidentally referred to former President Jimmy Carter — who’s still very much alive — as "the late, great Jimmy Carter." Trump immediately apologized, and then said, “He wasn’t THAT great.”"

"Fox News has learned that Attorney General Eric Holder will only stay on for about a year.

“Unless the Liberal media actually reports on any of the scandals he’s had a hand in!

Go for Broke(red) GOP Convention!

It is my belief that Governor Mitt Romney is a complete con man. At the core of his being is a liberal, socialist in the mold of Barack Obama. He’s been accurately labeled as being “Obama Lite.” He lies when he now claims to be a Conservative. He does so in order to gain the GOP nomination. He is devoid of principle. The Etch-a-Sketch candidate will morph into the mushy moderate-to-liberal political hack that he is, if and when (God forbid) he secures the GOP nomination!
Indeed, that is an all-too-accurate depiction of who Willard Mitt Romney is. Like Bob Dole, George H.W. Bush, and John McCain before him, he is the GOP establishment elite selection. And like these predecessors, he would be defeated in a general election.

An Obama-Romney contest for President would be like Presidential failures George H. W. "No New Taxes" Bush versus Jimmy "Worst President Ever Until Barack Obama Came Along" Carter. It would be the battle for the title of biggest loser!
America’s best hope and best bet is for a brokered GOP convention, in which a real conservative might emerge as the candidate the base and grassroots can support. I, for one, could not support Mr. Romney in any way. Hopefully, most Americans and Republicans will not be conned by the neither the GOP nor by the slick ads of the self-described “conservative,” charlatan Romney.
I am growing increasingly disappointed with the likes of Senator Marco Rubio and other so-called conservative leaders who are coming out in support of the liberal con man Romney. Instead, we should be demanding someone who personifies and who has demonstrated that he believes in and has applied conservative principles and the U.S. Constitution while in office and not merely mouthed platitudes in order to get elected!

Why not call them what they really are?

This post is about semantics.  In particular, why is it that the names we use to describe political opponents and their ideologies are important?

For years, we tended to call Democrats like Bill Clinton liberals.  To us, the word liberal was a negative term.  But actually, a liberal is someone who believes in liberty.  The word liberal can also be used to describe one who is generous.  But when we talk about Bill Clinton or Barack Obama as being liberal, this is hardly what we mean.  In fact, they are quite the opposite.  So I don’t think that we should use this term.

In recent years, the word progressive has perhaps become a more popular term for the type of political bent we are trying to describe.  There is even an auto insurance company which has taken on this name (and they are, in fact, very progressive in that sense).  But progressive really just means someone who is in favor of progress.  This is not necessarily bad.  Despite what Michele Bachmann says, the United States did start as a Republic in which slavery was legal (in most states, at least).  In other words, after winning the Revolutionary War, not everyone was instantly free.  Although other approaches to gain racial equality were actually detrimental to the cause of freedom, nonetheless there were beneficial progressive measures like the 13th and 15th Amendments.  In fact, the American Revolution itself and the adoption of the original Constitution and Bill Rights were, at the time, very progressive as well.  In a larger sense, positive progress can take place in areas other than political, such as science.  The word progress (in regards to science) even appears in the Constitution.  But “progress” is not good when it comes to mean legalizing murder and forcing people to support and condone degrading behavior such as homosexuality.  “Progress” which denies parental rights and accepts the neglecting of the parental responsibilities is also not beneficial.

Everybody has probably seen the bumper sticker “Socialism Doesn’t Work”.  If you are thinking that word Socialist is better to use for the type of people we are talking about, you are getting a lot warmer.  But here is why that word is still not quite right.  A socialist tends to want to take away all private property by means of government legislation.  In contrast, a fascist (or corporatist) is someone who wants all property to be confiscated by means of a corporate takeover of everything.  Same result, different means.  But modern leftists in America seem to be employing both tactics simultaneously.  So the distinction between “left” and “right” is now nothing but a mere illusion.  An umbrella term for this desire to put all property into a central ownership is called collectivism which is a form of totalitarianism or statism.  Another reason why Socialist isn’t quite right is because there is such a thing as voluntary socialism (i.e. utopian socialist societies).  But we are really talking about people who want to force this way of living onto everyone.  And thirdly, the words socialism, collectivism, totalitarianism or statism do not necessarily encompass things like abortion, homosexuality, and other social issues as the words liberal and progressive did (although sometimes erroneously).

So what is the best word to use?  How about extortionist, murderer, kidnapper, thief, or pervert?  If you want to sum all these up into one word, that one word could be God-hater, criminal or lawbreaker.  Why not call them what they really are?

All that glitters is definitely not Leftist tolerance

I watched much of the online streaming of the Right Online Conference held in Minneapolis, Minnesota this past Friday and Saturday. I was appreciative of Representative and Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann’s uplifting speech at the conference. I did not see the incident captured in the video below until later. The video documented a same-sex activist’s attempt to sprinkle Congresswoman Bachmann with glitter as she exited the stage after her inspiring speech. Apparently the liberal infiltrator did not hear or comprehend the message and was present for the sole purpose of demonstrating her intolerance.
Hat tip goes to Judson Phillips of TeaPartyNation.com where I saw the YouTube video below. You can read about how the homosexual activists are using this tactic with other GOP presidential candidates in Phillips’ article, “More liberal intolerance.”

I like what the woman in the closing moments of the video admonishes the wayward woman, to seek her mother’s guidance on what it is to have integrity.

Election Shenanigans in Alaska

In the developing story of the Alaskan U.S. Senatorial election between incumbent establishment good ole gal RINO Lisa Murkowski versus Tea Party supported Joe Miller, Mark Levin went to the source. The person charged with overseeing the election process. That was Craig Campbell, Lieutenant Governor. Mark had Mr. Campbell on his show tonight and grilled him for a quarter of an hour.

Nothing was actually resolved. Right now there is a bunch of write-in ballots that need to be counted. There are a number of absentee ballots that are yet to be counted. As it stands now Joe Miller, the Republican primary winner and challenger is behind by about 13,000 votes. Loser of the Republican primary and desperately wanting to hold on to the power and prestige of her Senate seat is running as an independent.

The actual count of write-in ballots will begin on Wednesday. Much to the consternation of the Miller campaign, the date of the counting started a week earlier than was originall announced, which as to be Thursday, November 18. According to Joe Miller his campaign was not notified of the change and had to scramble to get its observers and legal team to Juno, the state capital.

Here is a description that accompanied the embedded YouTube video below: “Mark Levins talks with Lieutenant Governor Craig Campbell of Alaska about the up coming vote count on Wednesday and he asked him questions why he has been changing some of the rules of the game.

We may have a better indication of how this election will go perhaps by the end of the week. It may be tied up in courts for quite some time if the numbers are very close … Stay tuned …

MI 15th District: Drop Dingle & Select Doctor Steele!

Hat tip again goes to GlennBeckClips.com for posting this video on twitter and their website. In the Michigan 15th district race for U.S. House of Representatives, challenger Dr. Rob Steele is up against 84-year-old and very liberal Democrat John Dingle, who has had held the same seat in Congress for – can you believe - 55 YEARS! Here is a Dr. Steele’s new campaign ad:

Dr. Steele opposes ObamaCare and would be a fresh face in a Congress that sorely needs new blood … And he is a cardiologist on top of it …

Remember in November!

Fire Congress, including John Dingle (MI-15)!
