What Democrats Want, Day 42, Countdown to Oblivion? REGULATIONS.

As of today, there are 42 days until the most consequential election in American history. This is what they say about many past elections, but this is really it. For if the Democrats seize power – control of the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate and the Presidency – and doing it by hook or by crook (the justifies the means, you know) America as we know it will be forever changed. America envisioned and created by the Founding Fathers will disappear into the shadows of history.

The ungodly secular-humanists/Marxists slow march through America’s institutions over the last 100 years or so will have reached a crescendo – fulfilling Mr. Obama’s fundamental transformation of America. Never again will the demonic Democratic Party relinquish its grip on political power and control of the masses.

Envision with me what a Socialist Democratic Party, takeover, a bloodless coup, a regime change, would look like. This is one in a series of daily articles leading up to the 2020 General Election

 

REGULATIONS reflect big government. The more regulations the less freedom both individually and organizationally. The convers is true, the more freedom the less regulation. Regulations often stifle creativity, innovation, investment and progress. Some regulation is needed, but they should be kept to an absolute minimum.

 

Regulatory Environment When Democrats are in Charge

The one thing you can always count on from the Democrats are regulations, rules, restrictions, orders.  For instance, President Obama stated to the effect that he would regulate the coal industry out of existence. Regulations have the effect of stymieing the economy.

So many Democratic governors and big city mayors and even some Republican governors, like Gov. Mike DeWine (RINO-OH) are having a field day with the COVID-19 restrictions being forced on the public and businesses. I would refer to Republican governors like DeWine as Democrat-lite. In any case, overreaction and overreach are the watch words to the Communist Chinese coronavirus.

 

Regulatory Environment Under Republicans

Although it is always the case, the Republican tend to produce less regulations than Democrats usually do. Under the current Trump Administration, it has gone above and beyond any previous Republican led government. President Trump demands that for every new regulation advanced under his administration there most be two or more regulation retired or done away with. This is unprecedented. This is commonsensical.

 

Some Regulation is Necessary

Regulation having to do with various industries including healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, occupational safety standards and education on the federal level should be broad and allow each state some leeway as to how to best meet their local needs. When it comes to regulations one size does not always fit all. On the federal level the regulation should serve as general guidelines.

 

Fracking is a process of obtaining oil, which is something the Republican Party and President have encouraged to flourish. It has given the United States the freedom from dependence on Middle Eastern oil. If voters elect a Harris-Biden Administration fracking will be regulated out of existence and we will once again be under the thumb of Arab nations and at their mercy.

 

This Election

The 2020 General Election for the federal offices of President, Senate and House will decide if we have more and broad regulations (Democrat win) or fewer and targeted regulations (Republican win). The choice is the individual voter.

Steve Jobs’ Faith and Politics

I read an excellent article, “Information Age Icon,” by James Heiser, in the December 19, 2011 issue of The New American magazine. The article was a book review of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Jobs was the co-founder and former C.E.O. of Apple, Inc.

Heiser said that the book “reveals a man driven by personal demons.” Apparently Jobs rejected Christianity and God because he could not reconcile why God would permit suffering such as starving children in Africa in the world. He spend years studying Buddhism. But he died still not sure that there was life after death. Here is a brief excerpt from the article and the book that sheds some insight into the man:

There is something that arouses pity when one witnesses such indecision remaining in a man who purportedly devoted so much of his life to seeking transcendent truth. Steve Jobs was profoundly insightful when he came to matters of combining worldly beauty and useful function, and was prepared to vociferously defend his vision for the future of technology; sadly, it appears that he remained of a far less fixed opinion when pondering matters of eternal significance.

Demand for Excellence

However, despite such a profound equivocation regarding matters of eternal significance, Jobs’ demand for excellence and precision in this world led the middle-aged political liberal to confront Barack Obama, a President who is arguably the most leftwing president in American history. In the fall of 2010, Jobs bluntly told Obama in a face-to-face meeting: “You’re headed for a one-term presidency.” As Isaacson explains:

He described how easy it was to build a factory in China, and said that it was almost impossible to do so these days in America, largely because of regulations and unnecessary costs.

Jobs also attacked America’s education system, saying that it was hopelessly antiquated and crippled by union work rules. Until the teachers’ unions were broken, there was almost no hope for education reform. Teachers should be treated as professionals, he said, not as industrial assembly-line workers. Principals should be able to hire and fire them based on how good they were.
