What Democrats Want, Day 99, Countdown to Oblivion?

As of today, there are 99 days until the most consequential election in American history. This is what has been said about many past elections, but this is really it. For if the Democrats seize power – retain control of the U.S. House, gain the U.S. Senate and the Presidency – and doing it by hook or by crook (the justifies the means, you know) America as we know it will be forever changed. America envisioned and created by the Founding Fathers will disappear into the shadows of history.

The ungodly secular-humanists/Marxists slow march through America’s institutions over the last 100 years or so will have reached a crescendo – fulfilling Mr. Obama’s fundamental transformation of America. Never again will the demonic Democratic Party relinquish its grip on political power and control of the masses.

Envision with me what a Socialist Democratic Party, takeover, a bloodless coup, a regime change, would look like. This is the next of a series of daily articles leading up to the 2020 General Election scheduled for November 3, 2020.

Squelching Religious Freedom

On Friday, July 25, 2020 the Supreme Court rejected a church’s challenge to the Communist Chinese coronavirus restrictions placed on it by the State of Nevada. To arbitrarily limit church attendance to 50 people, while allowing hundreds to attend casinos, restaurants, and amusement parks is an unconstitutional abridgement of an individual’s freedom of religion. The deciding justice in this case was the schizophrenic opinion of outed radical liberal Chief Justice John Roberts. During the past three- or four-months churches seem to have been specifically targeted for discrimination. While big box stores have been allowed to function with minimal restrictions, governments have gone out of their way to seemingly target churches for maximum restrictions.  Not even allowing some churches to hold services congregants sat in their cars in a church parking lot listening to the pastor’s message via radio transmission. Outrageously the governor of California has even dictated that no singing or congregational recitations may occur in churches.

You ain’t seen nothin’ yet, my friends. This new SCOTUS ruling and recent state and local ordinances are a preview of coming attractions. More and more it appears that the Court has and will continue to support anti-biblical and anti-constitutional issues and causes. The Court has already been overall a strong ally of the Leftist agenda. We can expect more devious rulings like this one from Roberts and any new justices appointed by a Democrat president and confirmed by any Democrat controlled U.S. Senate, if, God forbid, they win in the 2020 General Election later this year.

Expect More and Real Persecution

Persons of faith (true Christians) will continue to be targeted by politicians and officials at all level of government – local, state and federal. Religious liberties, especially those of biblical Christians will be systematically suppressed.  One positive result, though, of this persecution may be a stronger, more powerful and intentional church. The Christian churches in China and the Middle East are simultaneously enduring persecution, the power and the blessing of the first century church. This expanding persecution will certainly test the veracity and sincerity of the American Christian’s faith.

Taking it one step further, under expanded Democratic Party leadership, it will become increasingly acceptable to persecute biblical Christians for their belief and behaviors based on their beliefs. The state religion will officially become secular humanism. It currently is the unofficial religion taught in public education and the basis of the rampant #PoliticalCorrectness so evident and prominent in our society today.

Christian business owners and employees will be driven out of business and lose their jobs, respectively, unless they capitulate to Leftist creed.  Using “hate crime” laws and ordinance there will be a witch hunt to ensure that any remnant of Christian influence is removed.  Snitch lines will be manned 24/7. Contract tracers may even be rewarded for outing Christians we dare to practice their faith by refusing to bake a “wedding” cake to celebrate a polyamorous “marriage”! Welcome to a fundamentally transformed Amerika.

Ohio's Religious Freedom Restoration Act Withdrawn From Consideration - H.B. 376

From the Ohio Christian Alliance:

In a matter of hours after Arizona Governor Jan Brewer vetoed Arizona's Religious Freedom Restoration Act, S.B. 1062, sponsors of Ohio's Religious Freedom Restoration Act H.B. 376, withdrew it from consideration. Co-sponsors of the legislation were not notified of the motion to withdraw until they read it in the papers this morning. H.B. 376 had enjoyed bipartisan support and had 43 co-sponsors. The bill's sponsors, Rep. Timothy Derickson (R-53) and Rep. Bill Patmon (D-10), withdrew the bill from consideration with the following statement,

"The intent of HB 376 was to ensure Ohioans' religious freedom by protecting their ability to freely worship and preventing any laws from burdening the free exercise of religion."

"However, with the controversy that is occurring in Arizona, we feel that it is in the best interest of Ohioans that there be no further consideration of this legislation," the statement says. "Protecting people's personal liberties – religious or otherwise – is of the upmost importance to members of the Ohio House, and we want to ensure that no law that we pass in this chamber is misconstrued to be discriminatory in any way."

The statement says the bill "stemmed from a well-meaning place," but that they don't want to allow for "confusion" around the issue.

"Discrimination of any kind was never the intent of this legislation. While our commitment to religious freedom remains constant, it is in the best interest of all Ohioans that no further consideration be given to HB 376."

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Butler (R-Dayton) said in a statement, "I respect the sponsors' wishes on this matter, and as such, no future consideration will be given to HB 376."

Members of the House Judiciary Committee voted unanimously to "indefinitely postpone" consideration of the bill later Wednesday.

After the committee meeting, Butler told Hannah News that indefinitely postponing the bill "effectively kills it."

OCA President Chris Long made the following statement, "The Ohio Christian Alliance, along with Citizens for Community Values, is dismayed by the actions of the legislators to so quickly scuttle this legislation that would assure people of faith in Ohio that they would not face discrimination by practicing their religious faith and convictions."

"As Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, in an interview with Megyn Kelly, stated 'Where do Christians now go to receive protection under the law?"' Mr. Perkins had referenced in his interview Christian bakers and photographers who were targeted with lawsuits as a result of exercising their religious right of conscience. State entities have actually injoined lawsuits against individuals who declined to participate in homosexual weddings by either baking and serving the cake or by being the wedding photography coordinator."

Long continued, " The action by Governor Jan Brewer and the action by some Ohio legislators does not end the issue. Our First Amendment rights of freedom of religion are far too important and fundamental to all rights of individuals under the Constitution. To so lightly toss them aside with little regard is a crime against the ideals of freedom itself. This issue is sounding the alarm for all freedom-loving Americans. If religious people can be compelled against their will to perform acts and services against their conscience, where does the tyranny end?"

Ousted Christian Teacher John Freshwater Awaiting Result of His Day in (Ohio Supreme) Court

This very controversial case of a highly acclaimed and well-liked veteran Christian middle school teacher, John Freshwater, may soon be resolved. Eric Keller reported in the Kenyon Collegian that we may soon hear the decision of the Ohio Supreme Court on this important religious freedom-unjust termination case. I had been following this case (see also here, here, and here) for some time and even attended a few of the school board hearings that were referred to in the Keller article and it is with great interest and concern that I anticipate the results.

Essentially the Freshwater case pits two worldviews against each other, the secular-humanistic versus the traditional Judeo-Christian. I believe that Intelligent Design or Creationism should be taught or considered as a “theoretical” equal to evolution, which is not a proven explanation of creation. Evolution is, however, a fundamental cornerstone of the secular-humanist philosophy which dominates American education at all levels today.

In Keller’s article in the Kenyon College newspaper, Ohio Supreme Court to issue verdict soon in Freshwater case, he quotes some professors who come from a secular-humanist perspective, which is not surprising coming from a liberal institution.

Here are two disturbing quotes outlining and demonstrating the academic and “scientific” bias toward Mr. Freshwater and his position:

“This (Mt. Vernon, Ohio) is a very conservative religious community,” (Biology Professor Wade) Powell said. “A lot of people get caught up in their majority status and fail to really think about what it must feel like for other people to have folks in power dictating what is common and acceptable in terms of religious practice.” Is the professor defending the people of Mt. Vernon when they see the local school board discriminating against a star teacher for living out his Christian faith? I don’t think so. Or is Professor Powell defending those that have a secular-humanist perspective who absolutely reject the worldview of a teacher who dares to live out his faith and who practices it?  And the powers that be refuse to tolerate him and his differing beliefs? I believe that Powell is communicating the later interpretation, with which I disagree. The “people in power dictating” is actually the school board, which refuses to respect the community standards in which they serve and who reject the first amendment of our Constitution.

“Mr. Freshwater’s point of view is one that’s detrimental to science education,” (Associate Professor of Biology Andrew) Kerkhoff said. “Yet for 20 years, he was a very popular science educator within the public school system.” That tells us what a difficult problem this is.” What this “learned” man is saying is that the Judeo-Christian worldview has no place in Academia, Science, and by implication no place in American society! Not only was Mr. Freshwater popular, he was an effective and beloved teacher. I guess that is dangerous and intolerable in today’s failed education system.
