Don Feder's Ten Pillars of True Patriotism

This the second article that received from GrassTopsUSA, which I chose to reprint. It is a great outline of the important components of Patriotism. I highlight the ten foundational tenets of patriotism according to Bob Feder. The emphasis is mine. These are key elements to the Conservative and TEA Party Movements.

The one thing I see missing from this list, which could easily be included under either "God" or "the Constitution" pillars, is the Right to Life. Abortion is immoral, an affront to any civilized society. It is tantamount to what the ancient pagan Inca people did in sacrificing their children on alters to their gods.

Therefore, I would either elaborate under one or both of the first two pillars the right to life of both the born and the unborn. All of our God-given rights stem this basic right to exist.

TEN PILLARS OF PATRIOTISM
April 3, 2014
By Don Feder

Language-corruption is endemic. Sodomy is an "alternative life style," jihad-murder is "workplace-related violence" and Catholic institutions not providing contraception through their health insurance are part of a "war on women."

Even patriotism doesn't mean what it once did. A patriot used to be Nathan Hale, Andrew Jackson, Sergeant York and Audie Murphy. Now we're told that it's patriotic to support whatever foreign policy idiocy an anti-American administration dreams up.

According to the most recent Pew Research Center survey, 52% completely agree with the statement: "I am very patriotic." Another 36% "mostly agree." But what does this mean? Delving a bit deeper, 69% say they're "very likely" to sing the National Anthem, 59% to display the American flag on their home or car and 53% to attend a public celebration of the 4th of July.

But will America be saved by watching a parade pass by, singing the first verse of the National Anthem off-key or attaching a miniature flag on a car antenna? This is patriotism lite.

There's something called the True Patriot Network which claims patriotism includes class envy ("The wealthy have rigged the game in Washington, so that we pay the rich to get richer"). Karl Marx, true patriot? One of the Network's founder's, Eric Liu (a White House speechwriter for Bill Clinton) is involved with an anti-gun initiative in Washington state. Think of what men with illegal firearms can do – like Lexington and Concord.

What does patriotism really mean? If you say you love America, what are you going to do about it?

Offered for your consideration, 10 Pillars of Patriotism – what the authentic patriot must support to reverse the process of national decline.

       1.  God We are one nation under God, if we are anything at all. America is no accident. We could not have gone from 13 colonies clinging to the Atlantic coast to the preeminent world power in less than 230 years without the guiding hand of Providence. Rights come from God, not government. ("…endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.")

The Bible tells us that if a people turn their back on God, He will turn His face from them. During the darkest days of the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln charged: "We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace, and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us; and we have imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own." George Washington observed : "Of all the dispositions and habits, which lead to political prosperity, Religion and Morality are indispensable supports. In vain would that man claim the tribute of Patriotism, who should labor to subvert these great pillars of human happiness, these firmest props of the duties of men and citizens."

A reporter once asked Lincoln if God was on the side of the Union. Our 16th president replied that he had it backward; the question was: Were we on His side. We should strive toward that end.

       2.  The Constitution The federal government is constrained, and rights guaranteed, by the Constitution, as it was written by the Founding Fathers and later amended, and not as interpreted by activist judges or nullified by a presidential pen.

The United States Constitution is the best instrument yet devised to protect human rights, prevent abuses of power and ensure orderly government. If the Declaration of Independence is America's birth certificate, the Constitution is its operating manual.

Elitists hate the fact that the Constitution is impartial – not favoring one group over another – and is concerned primarily with restraining government rather than ordering the affairs of citizens. That's why they're forever telling us that our Constitution is outmoded.

       3.  The Free Market The free market is as American as representative government. It has brought unparalleled prosperity to this nation and opportunity to its citizens. Supply and demand are the best way to allocate resources. The alternative is ideological rigidity or bureaucratic whim.

Private property and free enterprise are also bulwarks against tyranny. As the market has become less free, the liberty of the American people has been diminished. Those who get caught up in envy against the successful miss the point. It's not about what any one of us earns relative to anyone else. The genius of the market is that it allows each of us to reach our potential.

Planned economy versus free economy is the difference between North and South Korea, East and West Germany (before reunification), Cuba and Costa Rica, and the U.S. economy under Reagan and Obama.

       4.  Limited Government America was founded on the idea of limited government, that the state must be confined to certain clearly defined functions. The choice is limited government or government de luxe.

The idea that Washington can force us to buy anything, such as health insurance, is repugnant to the system of government established by the Founders.

Taxes should be limited to paying for the constitutional functions of government. As the welfare state takes more and more of our income (through taxation, regulation and inflation), it robs us of our time, our labor, and ultimately our lives – turning citizens into subjects.

       5.  Fiscal Responsibility A government that consistently lives beyond its means has a short shelf-life. A people that refuse to restrain their appetites is doomed to extinction. The National Debt is the single greatest threat to our nation's prosperity and stability. Interest on the debt consumes an ever greater portion of the federal budget, crowds out business borrowing and diminishes the value of income and savings through inflation.

       Deficit spending is generational theft.

       6.   American Exceptionalism For going on three centuries, America has been the greatest force for good in the world. We gave other nations a model of representative government to follow. Our factories and workshops provided the products and inventions that ushered in the modern age. By dint of our sacrifice, in the 20th. century we twice saved humanity from totalitarian nightmares.

A denial of American exceptionalism is based on ignorance, indoctrination, malice or membership in the Democratic Party.

       7.   Sovereignty With ratification of the Constitution, the American people agreed to be governed by a system of divided authority and balanced powers. Ceding power to the United Nations, NATO or any other international body is a surrender of sovereignty.

A nation that won't defend its borders has also abandoned its sovereignty. Immigration policy must be decided by the American people based on the national interest – not by elites and ethnic lobbies, based on political expediency, a misguided altruism or multicultural fantasies.

       8.  English English is America's language. Along with our common ideals, it's the glue that holds together a diverse people. From the Mayflower Compact to the latest Congressional debates, America's story has been told in English. In the words of Theodore Roosevelt: "We have room for but one flag, the American flag… We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language…."

With English, we were able to take in tens of millions of immigrants in the past century and a half and successfully integrate them into our way of life, so that their children and grandchildren were as Americans as those whose ancestors came over on the Mayflower.

As we move from being an English-speaking people to a polyglot nation, we become fragmented along ethnic and racial lines. If it continues, the fate of the Austro-Hungarian Empire could be ours. Look at how well bilingualism works in Canada – where the majority is resentful and a separatist minority always wants more. After "press one for English," it should be "press two for national suicide."

       9.  National Security Defending America is a sacred trust. We live in a world of predators – terrorists and barbarians with weapons of mass destruction. Liberty is guarded by men with guns who walk the ramparts.

Liberals have consistently robbed the defense budget to pay for welfare schemes and buy votes, trusting in "multilateralism" and international agencies for our security. In reality, guns trump fantasies every time. Thanks to Obama and his allies, our armed forces are now smaller than before Pearl Harbor – another of which we could be headed for.

Today, our foreign and defense policies are determined by those who have no faith in America and want to see the Republic too weak to act on its own.

       10. The Family Families keep America strong. The family is the cradle of civilization and incubator of civic virtue. Fatherless families are more of a threat to our long-term survival than international terrorism or rogue states.

Anything that undercuts the family weakens America. Divorce, cohabitation, voluntary childlessness and deconstructing the family by bestowing the designation on diverse living arrangements are an attempt to turn the family into a free-form institution and ultimately make it obsolete. Men fight to protect their families, not to advance abstractions. A society made up of atomized individuals is ripe for conquest.

More than displaying the flag or singing the first verse of the Star-Spangled Banner (ersatz patriotism), the authentic patriot understands his country's history, appreciates its uniqueness and is committed to its defense by supporting the forces of unity and fighting those of disintegration.

The patriot is far-sighted. Like the Founding Fathers as they prepared to put pen to paper, the true patriot is instilled with a sense of destiny. Patriotism is a pledge to the past and a promise to the future.

Ronald Reagan spoke of "a rendezvous with destiny." Our greatest president of the 20th century said in his historic 1964 speech: "We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done."

       Have we?

Riots in Egypt--Will the U.S. Learn from the Past?

It seems like these pushes (U.S. Government meddling in the internal affairs of foreign countries, particularly Muslim) almost always end with anti-U.S. (usually radical Islamist) forces in power.

(listen at 10:40)

I agree with this reporter’s statement.   Why can’t we learn that the best thing to do is stay out of it?  Even if you are successful in getting a Muslim country to accept “Democracy”, you can bet that they will elect an anti-American government.  Time and time we have done this, only to end up fighting against the very government we helped to establish.  Hamas, the Taliban, the Mujahadeen (which became Al Qaeda), the Iranian government, and the Bathist (Saddam Hussein) government were all set up by the United States of America.

And why are we giving Egypt billions of dollars in MILITARY aid???  DUMB!

G (Global) 20 Meet Up, Reordering the world

Cartoon by Nate Beeler as found on Townhall.com 4/3/09

Bill Wilson summarizes President Soetoro's (alias Obama) “accomplishments” at the G20 pow wow last week in Europe in his 4/3/09 Daily Jot article, “The Gang of 20 And The New World Order,” in the following excerpt.

“The man who now occupies the Oval Office threw America’s sovereignty under the bus, joined up with the gang of 20, and agreed to an international heist of a trillion dollars as the first installment of redistributing America’s wealth to the rest of the world in support of programs that will make his socialist and communist buddies richer and more powerful. He explained his strategy of compromise to adoring reporters: "Each country has its own quirks and own particular issues that a leader may decide is really, really important, something that is non-negotiable for them. And what we tried to do as much as possible was to accommodate those issues in a way that did not hamper the effectiveness of the overall document."

Soetoro (Obama) is a globalist and a socialist. He does not care about the United States Constitution or the founding principles and values of America. Joe the Plumber, during the presidential campaign drew out of Soetoro (a/k/a Obama) the fact that one of his chief core beliefs and values is the redistribution of wealth not only giving to the “needy” in America, but also to those in the world. Never mind that the that that trillion dollars will fall into the hands of greedy dictators, Marxists, and elites and will never reach the truly needy. It is merely a ploy to establish socialism and globalism. Nearly everything Soetoro (Obama) has done since taking office 9 weeks ago has been destructive to free enterprise and the traditional American values and principles.

Budget w h o a s, stopping the runaway federal budget

Fellow blogger Matt posted an article, “Budget Woes” yesterday with a short video of Congressman Ron Paul addressing the U.S. House of Representatives. I was so impressed with the last minute of the 6 minute video that I transcribed it below. I urge you to read that article and listen to Dr. Paul’s speech. The words of Dr. Paul speak for themselves. I surely hope that the pitiful Speaker Pelosi and some of her liberal comrades heard the power and the message of his words.

“. . . We as a people have to decide what the role of government should be. If we think the role of government is going to be, and should be, the policemen of the world, and to run the welfare state, (then) this budget problem will never be solved.

“. . . The greatest danger, I see right now, is the placing of the blame for the crisis we are in is that we have

...too much freedom,
...too much capitalism,
...not enough regulation.

They (the leftist Democrat elites in power) in the (19)30s, they (the leftist Democratic elites in power today) are doing it even MORE now.

“Instead of saying, we

...overspent,
...overtaxed,
...over regulated.

“We have lost our confidence, and if we don’t change that attitude, and we accept the notion, accept international regulation, believe me we are in big trouble. We’ll lose our freedoms. We’ll lose our sovereignty as well.”

Eight Changes If Under Obama America Trusts

Change? You Better Believe It!!!

Obama’s Changes = Curtains for America

Obamaland is what we get if the empty-suited Obama takes residence in the White House bringing with him a cadre of liberal corpses. I say corpses because he and his cronies are all dead to the idea of supporting or protecting the traditional values on which America has stood for these many years. In this article we will enumerate what change Obama will bring to the table.

On Friday, June 13, 2008 the Browns, Floyd and Mary Beth, wrote an article posted on TownHall.com entitled, “Six Ways Obama Wants to Change America.” Their six changes are included below. I have added a seventh and an eighth. These are what America gets with an Obama presidency. He is very sly and evasive in not really spelling out what he means by change. We give some detail to fill in the gap. I hope and pray that his policy and his changes will be rejected by the nation this fall.

Change No. 1 will mean increased and wholehearted support for unfettered abortions including rejecting any parental notification in respect to minors, overturning all bans on the insidious late-term partial birth abortion procedure, and he even opposes allowing the surviving babies of botched abortions to live. In other words, he will undo the word of pro-life advocates the last decades or so. That is one change America can look forward to under an Obama administration.

Change No. 2 will result in a severely weakened national security. Not only does he advocate sitting down and negotiating with recalcitrant terrorists. He vacillates in his policy statements about our only friends in the Middle East, Israel. First he is for an undivided Jerusalem, and then he wants to be able to divide it as part of future negotiations. He gives a good impersonation of the wishy-washy John Kerry. He wants the military to leave Iraq without insuring that nation’s stability, making both Iraq and America vulnerable. A weakened national defense is another change we can expect if Obama becomes president. That is another change that American can look forward to.

Change No. 3 is in true form of a good liberal politician Obama will raise taxes significantly for a multitude of leftist causes including ratcheting up welfare payments, pouring more money into a failed education system in payback for the teacher union loyal support of the Democratic party. This change means putting an ever increasing burden on the backs of all taxpayers. More taxes will worsen, not improve economic conditions. America are you ready for this change?

Change No. 4 is nationalizing healthcare, which is what socialized medicine or universal health care accomplishes. This change means killing the best health care service delivery system in the world, which is based on free enterprise. You can expect a health care system fashioned in a way Karl Marx would be proud – totally government controlled. Anytime that the government sticks its bumbling hand into any enterprise it diminishes quality and customer service and increases the cost. Are you ready, America, for some change?

Change No. 5 will bring mandated and expanded comprehensive sex education in government schools from pre-school through high school. Count on the elimination of all abstinence sex education programs. It doesn’t matter one iota to Obama that abstinence works. It’s payback to the abortion industry here. Heinous corrupt groups like Planned Parenthood will have free reign to teach our children all manner of filth and pornography in our schools; all under the guise of “comprehensive sex ed.” Now that is another change America gets with Obama.

Change No. 6 will be a further weakened economy ending free trade agreements (doing away with NAFTA), increased trade deficits, increased debt will result in the unprecedented spending that Obama will push for to fulfill all of his lavish promises. Expect more, not less burdonsome laws to be placed on what is left of American industry. Don't expect any domestic oil drilling, production or refinement to take place, that would strengthen America. China and Mexico will continue to make money at our expense. A change is coming if we elect Obama.

Change No. 7 will expand and advance the same-sex agenda bringing to full fruition the work of homosexual activists. Obama panders to the homosexual and lesbian groups such as the Human Rights Campaign, where he claimed he was more pro-same-sex than Hillary Rodham-Clinton. The change will be same-sex marriage, elevating the status of this abominable behavior to special protected class status. Business will be mandated to pay for the so-called “partners” of these partakers in deviant behavior. Wow, America can hardly wait for this change to take place.

Finally, change No. 8 involves the very close cooperation with the growing tyrannical jurists, which will fully support all the changes a President Obama would try to implement. Instead of impeaching the radical former ACLU attorney, and anti-American Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, Obama will clone her in the judges that he nominates. This is more good news for America. That is a change that will insure America’s continued deterioration well into the future. Another change you can expect from an Obama in charge.

Mexican Rigs Roll

"Mexican Hood Ornament" by Joel Barbee on WorldNetDaily.com

Dr. Jerome Corsi wrote today in a WorldNetDaily.com article, "Trucks owned by Mexican trucking companies and piloted by Mexican drivers are scheduled to hit the pavement of U.S. roadways as early as today, according to . . . U.S. Representative Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., late yesterday said what critics call the Bush administration's "stealth plan" to allow Mexican long-haul rigs to run on roads throughout the United States is being launched." In the article Rep. DeFazio relates that the Bush administration told him that today they will be opening our border to 100 Mexican-domiciled trucking companies.
.
This is a terrible idea. It is wrong. It is an outright affront to American sovereignty. It is part of President Bush not so secret North American Union plan. This is a bipartisan issue and I more than agree with Representative DeFazio. Bush apparently did not here the outcry of the American people in the related matter of amnesty for illegal aliens. Bush apparently, like his father, is a globalist first and a conservative of convenience second and only for purposes of being elected.

NAU Merge Fest

Maybe its too late to do anything about this, but I got this from the Constitution Party several days ago:
.
Conservative Coalition Assembles To Warn Americans About Agenda For 'Hush-Hush' North American 'Merge-Fest' In Quebec .
.
Lancaster , PA / August 17, 2007 - The Constitution Party , joins conservative groups and a growing number in Congress urging Americans to speak out against the formation of a North American Union (NAU).
.
A meeting, planned for Aug-20-21 in Quebec, will advance the well-developed plan despite a near blackout by U.S. media.
.
The summit, sponsored by The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America , a vehicle by which the NAU is being advanced, will be led by President George Bush of the United States, Prime Minister Stephen Harper of Canada, and President Felipe Calderon of Mexico to plan an EU-type merger joining all three countries .
.
Former Director of the U.S. Office of Economic Opportunity, Howard Phillips said: "This summit is being held away from the scrutiny of the American people. It was declared off limits to those who oppose it, and that speaks volumes. The SPP is part of a treacherous scheme to incrementally merge Canada , the United States , and Mexico in a manner similar to that, which brought the European Union into being over a span of 50 years. Lost liberties and a lower standard of living would be the inevitable result if our borders with Mexico and Canada were to be erased. Americans won't want to be part of that global nightmare." Phillips, founder of the fast-growing Constitution Party, one-time presidential candidate and the leader of the Conservative Caucus ( www.conservativeusa.org ) will be joined by a coalition of American and Canadian leaders assembled in Quebec to speak out against the proposed merger of the three countries at a press conference.
.
The press conference is scheduled for August 20th , 2007 at 10 am at the Ottawa Marriott Hotel, Ottawa, Canada.
.
"The NAU and the SPP are a virtual toxic alphabet soup being cooked up behind closed doors so Americans won't have a clue they're about to lose their rights and freedoms until it's too late," warned Constitution Party National Committee Chairman Jim Clymer. "Just ask the people in Europe who are now dealing with the disastrous effects of the E.U.", Clymer further noted.
Jerome Corsi, Ph.D., New York Times best-selling author of the new book The Late, Great U.S.A.-The Coming Merger with Mexico and Canada will be covering the SPP summit from Quebec. Corsi is an internationally known expert on the clandestine effort to force Americans into an unconstitutional fusion with other countries.
.
The Constitution Party joins opponents of the SPP/NAU and supports proposed legislation (HCR40) introduced by Congressman Virgil Goode (R-VA) which calls for an end to the merger that would result in a North American Union (NAU). In addition, the Constitution Party expresses appreciation to the 18 states introducing resolutions calling for a halt to work on the NAU.

Righting the G.O.P., Part 5

I (Sam) recently received a letter from the national Republican Party warning me of the necessity of stopping the Democrat’s ultra-liberal agenda. "What about the Republican agenda/' I asked myself. The GOP's agenda is flawed and is nearly as bad. Actually, that is why I am furious with the GOP. The reasons for my serious displeasure are outlined below and in my previous articles in this series, see: part 1, part 2, part 3, and part 4.

It appears that President Bush is using the war on terror as a diversion while he destroys the sovereignty of the United States through establishing the North American Union (NAU). If Canada and Mexico want to be states in our union, the United States should require them to join in the same way that every other state did. This would mean that they would accept OUR Constitution, laws and customs and drop theirs.

I knew George Bush was not a true Conservative when I voted for him but I thought he and the Republicans were at least patriotic and that the President was a true Christian. Today, I think possibly President Bush is a traitor and wonder if he is really a true Christian. If I vote Democrat, America goes to hell one way, and if I vote GOP America goes to hell another way. I only see disaster for the future of this nation. Who can I really trust for the future? Only the Lord Jesus Christ!

The sure judgment of God on a nation begins with the disruption of the normal weather patterns, such as rain at planting and harvest and drought at the growing season. Or perhaps, too much rain in one place and not enough rain in another. This has been going on for 40 years. If the nation does not repent then God increases the judgment to foreign harassment. The United States has experienced many jobs going overseas, the import of foreign goods and loss of manufacturing, and now we are in the midst of a war on terror with troops deployed. Illegal aliens are invading the country in mass. If a nation does not repent after foreign harassment then it experiences loss of sovereignty. The North American Union represents a loss of sovereignty for the United States. The superhighway into Kansas City from a port in Mexico operated and controlled by foreign interests represents a loss of sovereignty. Having judges in America decide cases based on international law or the laws of other nations represents a loss of national sovereignty. If a nation still refuses to repent of its sins after this loss of sovereignty then it is eliminated as a nation. The destruction of the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah by fire for the sin of homosexuality is an example of total annihilation of a people for their refusal to repent from their sinful behavior.

I suspect the problems facing the nation are a result of our evil conduct and the nation is in need of repentance before God. I see neither Senator John McCain, nor Mayor Rudy Giuliani, nor Governor Mitt Romney providing the kind of leadership that will bring this nation to repentance before God. This is where change in America must start. America can go the way of all extinct nations and be destroyed, or it can repent and return to once again being a nation that honors God. Let us return America to the America of our Founding Fathers, but that will take individual and national repentance before Almighty God and appropriating His solution to all of our problems. That solution is found when we place our faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation and live in obedience to God’s revealed Word, the Judeo-Christian Bible.

Righting the G.O.P., Part 4

Not too long ago I received a letter from the Republican Party warning about the necessity of stopping the Democrat’s ultra liberal agenda. What about the Republican agenda, I ask myself? It is nearly as bad. Actually, I am furious with the GOP. The reasons for my serious displeasure with the Grand Old Party are outlined below and in my previous articles, see part 1, part 2, and part 3.

What about the North American Union (NAU)? President Bush is in the process of doing away with the United States of America and merging it with Canada and Mexico. This is a loss of our sovereignty. Mexico is vastly corrupt and Canada is a socialist state. Neither of which I want America to be – more corrupt nor more socialist! Illegal aliens are competing for jobs and forcing U.S. citizens out of work. The American culture will be further destroyed.

The NAFTA superhighway is being built from a port in Mexico to Kansas City, Missouri to speed goods and people into America from China. It looks like a strategic military thrust into the center of the nation from which a foreign military could quickly move into Kansas City and from their rapidly take over the country.

Apparently China, Mexico and Spain want to rule the United States and President Bush is saying, “Sure, why not.” There is no security of the goods and personnel coming into the country. It looks like a Trojan horse with the citizens of the USA as its unsuspecting victims.

The new George Washington dollar coin does not have the words, “In God We Trust,” on its face. The Bush Administration permitted this. It looks like the Treasury Department is preparing America for the new Amero monetary unit.

American Truck Out Rally

I received an email a little over a week ago asking for help in stopping the North American Union (NAU). The goal of this rally is to raise awareness about the North American Union by creating an event that the national media would not be able to ignore! Included on this blog is a short video about this rally.

Here is a press release I found describing the planned event. “Thousands of truckers have committed to taking part in the three day “Truck Out” Boycott on April 23-25 to coincide with a rally planned in Washington DC. The boycott is a nationwide effort to STOP the process of displacing American Truckers from their jobs and show President Bush and Congress that the real lifeblood and backbone of this country is the American trucker! The point of the boycott is to shut all trucking down and surround every state capital with a convoy of trucks, cars and motorcycles to protest the corrupt plans our government has to destroy our trucking industry and our nation.”

I have been perusing my favorite news blogs and both the very liberal Washington Post and the more conservative Washington Times websites and have not found any real time coverage of any events occurring yesterday or today regarding this rally. Too bad because the North American Union, the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) between the USA, Mexico and Canada, along with the Bush administration’s recent permission given to 100 Mexican companies to allow their trucks to roll on our highways are all bad ideas.

It is a bad idea to entangle ourselves as a nation with the likes of a corrupt Mexico and a dreadfully socialist Canada. In the long run this “partnership” will lead to loss of sovereignty of our nation and lead to further decline of the middle class in the United States. Is this what President Bush wants? Or does he even care? Even allowing the Mexican truckers on our roads is a bad idea. They will be taking away jobs and work from Americans. They will be road hazzards, too.

I applaud the efforts of the organizers of the American Truck Out Rally and wish them whatever success they can muster throughout the event.

The "Ramos and Compean" Protest Song

Ramos and Compean are those two border agents that fellow blogger, Matt, wrote about recently. From the information that I have read and heard, it sure seems like the government went out of its way to prosecute these two. Were they made examples for the other border guards to not be overly diligent in protecting the border? Now we would not want to make the Mexican government or its elite upset with us would we? Why are the National Guards' hands tied and limited to a backup role?

The illegal alien invasion and loose border security have been on-going problems. I wrote an article before the '06 elections offering several solutions to this growing and gnawing problem. We must never approve of any amnesty or temporary or guest worker program until the borders are secure and we consistently enforce our immigration laws for both the law breaking employers and the illegals.

Inspired by this true story of the two border patrol agents, Michael Britton wrote and performs a protest song about them, see the lyrics below. Read the WorldNetDaily article and hear the song performed by its writer in the link the article provides. You can also visit the song writer's website for additional news and information about the two men.
.
Several sound bites were included with the song. In one a U.S. Representative is quoted as having said, "It is outrageous and unacceptable that our government is prosecuting U.S. law enforcement officials at the request of the Mexican government." Jerome Corsi on the song says, "The request came through the Mexican Consulate demanding an investigation." I think that there needs to be a complete Congressional investigation of this entire incident. The complete story needs to come out in the open. Heads should role if there were any wrongdoing on the part of the government.
.
In another WorldNetDaily article released just today the Federal government is recommending that a deputy sheriff in Texas be sentenced to 7 years in jail for violating the civil rights of another fleeing illegal alien. The same U.S. Attorney Johnny Sutton, who also led the high-profile prosecution of former Border Patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean, was the prosecutor in this case as well. I guess I know why we do not hear about the brave things these border agents and front line deputies are doing. It is the same reason we do not hear much about the positive things we are doing in Iraq. There is a liberal bias in the main stream media, apparently success against real and potential terrorism is not in its playbook.

Ramos And Compean
Facing Danger In The Hot Sun
Never Knowing If The Ones You Caught Tonight
Will Cut You Down Or Kill You With A Gun

So All They Give You Is A Cell
And Living Hell For Your Family
We Americans Promise You And Swear By God
To Put An End To This Insanity; This Travesty
