When Government Spending is Out-of-Control

Someone wrote, "Actually, to avoid economic collapse and recession spending is needed." That may be true, but not government spending. Government gets its revenue from the taxpayer. It has no money of its own (unless it prints it!) It produces nothing. It takes money from the private sector. Government thwarts economic growth. Government stifles the private sector and thereby economic recovery with its regulations and taxes.

What is needed is allowing the private sector to grow, to create real jobs and with those jobs comes real recovery. The government needs to get out of the way of the free enterprise system. Lower taxes, less regulation, less government would produce more economic recovery! Government should be helping the private sector, instead of hurting and retarding it.

Everything the government does is generally wasteful and inefficient. Look at the BMV in most states... Look at the promises made about ObamaCare: lower premiums, reducing healthcare costs, reducing the Debt. Wrong, wrong and wrong. Just the exact opposite has occurred and will continue to occur if not stopped. Hopefully the GOP in the House will have the guts to stop its funding...

No, government is not the solution to most problems, economic or otherwise, government is too often itself the problem! Thank you Ronald Reagan for your wisdom …

Will Boehner Fully Capitulate by 12/31/2012 to Obama?

Unfortunately, Speaker John Boehner is not now a leader of the Conservative Movement, if, in fact, he ever was.

He is a hopeless, hapless RINO. He is a shill for the East Coast country club Republican elites. Time after time, he and the GOP use Conservatives and Tea Party participants at election time to win elections under false premises.

In 2010 they used us to get to the majority in the House.

Once power was secured, Boehner abandoned principle for power and politics. Despite whatever glossy, patriotic, conservative terminology and rhetoric he may misuse in his bombastic speeches before Congress or the Media’s microphones. You can count on Boehner putting Boehner and his party first, America be damned.

Frustratingly, he seemingly acts like a virtual wimp in the presence of the President, yielding like a whipped pup to the President's every demand.

The bottom line is, if Boehner completely caves, as he is expected to do, he must be replaced by a real conservative and leader before it is everlastingly too late. Someone like former Presidential candidate and Minnesota Representative Michele Bachmann, who does have a backbone, would nicely and precisely fit the bill.

Or even my current representative in the House, Jim Jordan, who has impeccable Conservative credentials and record, would equally make an outstanding Speaker.

We need someone who will figuratively counteract the Nancy Pelosis, on both side of the aisle in Congress, punch for punch…

Neither of the above mentioned Speaker-replacements would so easily surrender to the ‘transformation-minded’ President and equally treasonous Democrats in Congress. They would deal with the real problem of America, turning off the spending spigot of the current regime in Washington!

The follow is a press release distributed today by Americans for Limited Government (ALG) following the President’s presentation of his proposed plan to fund his outrageous and aptly described jobs plan, “Save Obama’s Job Act of 2011 for the 2012 Election.”

Sept. 19, 2011, Fairfax, VA—Americans for Limited Government President Bill Wilson issued the following statement urging Congress to reject a White House proposal to increase taxes by $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years:

"It is ironic that the Obama Administration chalked up his proposals to being simple math when the outcome of raising taxes on job creators will be fewer jobs.  That's the real math.
 
"During the longest period of sustained high unemployment since the Great Depression, Congress must resist policies that are designed to take more from the private sector.  We should be lowering the cost of doing business in the U.S. so we can compete with overseas companies, not increasing it.  Raising taxes by over a trillion dollars is a jobs killer.

"If Obama wants to reduce the deficit he should try cutting spending, and if he wants to help the economy create jobs, he should try cutting taxes.  And by cuts, we mean real cuts in spending, not reductions in the growth of spending, and not counting reductions in war spending that has never been committed to.  Actual government programs should be eliminated."

Like a deranged madman, or mad hatter, or like the fellow on that most annoying repetitive radio or TV commercial, our beloved President last week raced before a joint session of Congress. Then this past week started schlepping from state to state. Starting in Virginia and Ohio, then on to other states he scurried trying to elicit buyers for his miraculous mineral spirits. He has been attempting to convince us of the inconvincible and inconceivable with his now familiar and equally worrisome pitch or mantra, “Pass this Bill.”

Previously, the Obama regime passed the dangerous health care “reform” bill, or ObamaCare, which itself was ramrodded through Congress the night before Christmas. Now, just like the health care and finance 'reform' bills  before, the American people don’t want to buy his transparent “Save Obama’s Job” Act. Never mind, that it calls for yet another wasteful, useless “stimulus,” or expenditure of precious and increasing rare Taxpayer dollars.

What is this all about, really?  The president’s personal slush fund is running low from the last stimulus! He uses this fund to feed the insatiable appetite of the union bosses, of favored crony capitalists, and of his faithful campaign contribution bundlers.  In other words, he needs to reload, using a euphemism, whose use is banned for the Right, but not the Left.

If this President's intent is the further destroy our economy, or if it just the result of failed policies put forth by an inept and inexperience administration, the result is the same. We must do all we can to make sure the current President and the vast majority of the current Congress is purged in the upcoming elections mainly in May and in November of 2012

America and Congress: Reject the "Save Obama's Job Act!"

The President said he would present a major speech on Thursday. Basically, he spewed forth what amounted to a rehashed Stimulus 2.0. How did he think that this second attempt to jump starting the economy would do anymore to help the economy than the previous failed Stimulus 1.0 fiasco?

Conservative talk show host Mark Levin said President Barack Obama's new, but unimproved, American Jobs Act should more aptly be called the

"Save Obama's Job Act."

I listened closely to the President's speech on Thursday night. I was unimpressed. I was very disappointed. I was not surprised. I counted that he pleaded at least a dozen times, like the horrendous ObamaCare bill, for Congress to pass the bill in haste. Levin's count of that phrase was 18 times.

By the way, I agree with those who say that Speaker John Boehner (RINO-OH) should have never agreed to enable this campaign ploy. It was a pure campaign speech, paid for by the American taxpayer, with NBC and the media providing free air time to Obama to kick off his desperate attempt to save his job. He and his regime has calculated that the GOP will not pass his ridiculous request. Therefore, it gives him ammunition to use the next 14 months as he ratchets up what he does best - coast-to-coast campaigning. Someone said that maybe the Republicans in Congress should approve AJT just to insure that Obama gets the full "credit" for the economy in November 2012, which will not be helped by another wasted 1/2 trillion dollars. I do not agree with that proposition.

We need to renew the 2010 campaign theme with a new "Fire Congress 2.0" by adding the Presidency to those that need to be terminated. However, ideally that candidate should be a conservative and not another John McCain in 'conservative 'clothing like a Mitt Romney or a Rick Perry.

If June is declared and celebrated by our nation’s president as “Support Sodomy Month,” then we certainly should at least recognize that Washington, District of Corruption is equally deserving of its own week! Some in the patriot movement have designated the week beginning July 25th as "National Government Spending Addiction Intervention Week.”

How appropriate comparing America’s government to a hard-core drug addled addict. Instead of alcohol, heroin or cocaine, Congress' and recent Presidents’ drug of choice is SPENDING. See the excellent video, SPENDITOL, which I posted the other day and which dramatically spotlights our governments’ drastically disabling condition.

Entrenched politicians, like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, even Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner, and of course, without question, former Speaker and current Democrat Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, have as their default position – spending. They just gotta have more money to feed their voracious habit. All of the current proposals are unacceptable. The new Boehner Plan, the Reid Plan, and the McConnell Plan do not provide enough short-term budget cuts. They all kick the can out of the Milky Way.
