I came across this video that dissects the voluminous Health Care ‘Reform’ bill passed by the Democratic Congress and signed by the Democratic President. It is one of the most loathsome pieces of legislation ever passed in America.
I heard a physician Saturday night explain that it is not at all a healthcare bill it is a health CONTROL bill. The government cares nothing about its citizens’ health, only as a way to control the lives of its subjects. The more we learn about this ominous bill, the scarier it is.
Hat tip goes to GlennBeckClips.com for this thoughtful description as how the liberal socialist mind-set looks at the Health Care 'Reform' or ObamaCare that was passed this year. This is but one of many reasons to Fire Congress in November and stem the march toward a completely socialist state ...
It is like the proverbial pot that called the kettle black. The NAACP and other key components of the Left, are reaching for anything to smear, to denigrate, to belittle, to smack down the spontaneous Tea Party Movement, which has sprung up all around the nation since shortly after the inauguration of the current occupier of the White House. We are not racists because we disapprove of the evils being foisted on America by the so-called progressives, socialists, Marxists, or communists. The Left is all of the above and then the sum …
.
"Blacks will know they have achieved full acceptance in America when the media begin to treat the NAACP as the hack left wing political group it has obviously become."
The alleged racial slurs at the Health Care ‘Reform’ protest in Washington, D.C. at the time of the passage of ObamaCare was conjured up by the devilish press and their accomplices in ‘crime,’ those black Congressmen who tried to incite the crowd by walking through it. They could have easily as not and usually do, take the ‘safer’ tunnel conveyance. When the Tea Party participants would not bite, spit or name-call, then the Leftists tried to invent the same. What a shameful and sensational example of the pot calling the TEA kettle black! Read the Jack Cashill account of the NAACP slanderous slurs here for greater insight into this worrisome development.
"A high-taxing, poorly thought-out, and taxpayer-funding-of-abortion monstrosity."

Hat Tip goes to the American Family Association (AFA), which alerted me to action by our government in funding abortion in one of the states. Much of the following information was provided by AFA.
.
President (Barry Soetoro a/k/a) Barack Obama deceived Bart Stupak and the handful of pro-life Democratic Congressman the President needed to pass the healthcare deform bill in the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this year. He also misled the entire American public on ObamaCare funding for abortions. Apparently in the eyes of this regime, the end justifies the means, even it includes deceit and lies.
Today’s award to the state of Pennsylvania of a grant for $160 million to fund abortion is proof of that deception. It is merely the first volley in an expanded war against defenseless pre-born human beings! Moreover, by providing the $160 million dollars to Pennsylvania to set up a new high-risk insurance pool that will cover every abortion that is legal in that state, abortions will now use my tax dollar in funding a morally reprehensible act.
TAKE ACTION
Join me in sending emails to our senators and representative today urging them to revoke federal taxpayer funding of abortions in Pennsylvania. In addition, prevail upon them to repeal ObamaCare in its entirety and defund it in the meantime . Click here to facilitate an easy way to contact your senators and representative. Here is a sample copy of the text, which you could send to your federal legislators:
July 15, 2010
The Honorable Sherrod Brown United States Senate 713 Hart Senate Office Building Washington, DC 20510-3503
Re: New Healthcare Reform Bill Funds Abortion Already!
Dear Senator Brown:
The president signed an executive order this spring barring the use of federal funds to finance abortions under the new health care reform law.
Despite this order, his Department of Health and Human Services is now giving $160 million to the state of Pennsylvania to set up a new high-risk insurance pool that will cover any abortion that is legal in the state.
I join many Americans in expressing my outrage that federal funds are being used to pay for abortions after the president's promise that nothing of the sort would happen.
I urge you to revoke this use of my federal taxpayer dollars to destroy innocent human life in the womb. Please work to repeal ObamaCare in its entirety and defund it in the meantime. The President used deceit to pass the legislation. Apparently he no intention to keep or to abide by his executive order. It was just a ploy, a ploy to destroy more pre-born human beings!
Hat tip to NewsBusters who posted an article this morning, “ Janeane Garofalo's a Racist Redneck: Expresses Disappointment With Obama.” She is a radical leftist activist, who in the past has called Tea Party participants ‘racists.’ This year she has been again been invited to a Tea Party event, the Dallas Tea Party to be held on Sunday, July 4th. See the video below.
Here is a portion of an A. V. Club interviewthat was cited in the NewsBusters article referenced above. It gives a glimpse into the vicious hatred that she and her Leftist comrades have for Tea Party patriots and America in general . . .
AVC: You’ve also been called out by name and invited to tea parties by people like Deroy Murdock and other African-Americans within the Tea Party—people who probably don’t know you from anything else ostensibly just so they can prove to you that there are minorities involved, so therefore they aren’t racists.
JG: But not really. They’ve put that out on their side. They have never really invited me. They claim that they have, but they really haven’t. And having said that, I would never go. They will always say, “I invited so and so, and she declined,” when they’ve never gotten in touch with me. [Laughs.] But then also, a lot of the things they say I say, I’ve never said. . . .
AVC: And I do worry that characterizing the entire movement as racist is dismissive enough to make it one of those “us-vs.-them” situations that you were so against before—in a way that it almost hinders the argument.
JG: I don’t think it does. I think what hinders the argument is when people are afraid of hurting the feelings of racists and people who are genuinely—some of them—out of their minds. They demand to see Obama’s birth certificate. They claim that he wants to kill our grandparents with his health care. They want to be able to carry their guns into every public place. Why do we need to coddle these people? And in this case, I guess it is an “us-vs.-them,” in that I don’t see how people who demand to see his birth certificate, and people who don’t want health care, and who come armed to town-hall meetings—there is a distinct difference between that kind of citizen and another kind of citizen . . .
Really, is it racist to question the qualifications of a person to be President? Is it racist to disagree with the type of 'reform' to our healthcare system that is being legislated, which necessarily and essentially includes healthcare rationing and death panels? Is it racist to exercise one's right to own and carry a gun? Who's the racist, who's the unAmerican?

In President Soetoro a/k/a Obama's relentless pursuit to fundamentally change America from a Republican Democracy to a Socialistic Marxist state, he is creating or taking advantage of one crisis after another crisis. Of course he can't let any good crisis go to waste without implementing some element of his godless anti-America agenda. That is why we must put the brakes on this government-gone-wild come May and come November when we will be holding the ultimate Tea Party Protest - Election Day!
Washington, District of Corruption (D.C.) I took a long bus ride to Washington, D.C. this week to lend my support to the movement to defeat the supposed healthcare 'reform' bill hatched by Speaker of the House and Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi.

GOVERNMENTAL MALPRACTICE
Last evening in the President’s speech to the joint session of Congress clarified very little for me in regard to the Democrat’s Health Care Reform proposal or ObamaCare for short. His invocation to the 'sainted' Senator Edward Kennedy’s passionate pursuit of socialistic health care reform until the bitter end, did not sway me one iota. The President’s repeat of his promise that his health care reform would not add to the deficit and that it would ONLY cost $900 billion was laughable. I have heard much higher estimates.
I gathered that he would pay for the health care through driving fraud and abuse from the Medicare Program . . . and other details still to be worked out. He said that he would not ration Medicare. He said he would protect Medicare.
The President lied when he said that healthcare WAS our deficit problem. No, wasteful government spending – including TARP, the bailouts, the stimulus package, the bloated federal budget, the ridiculous Cap and Trade bill, and now ObamaCare – are the real causes of the ratcheted increases in our deficit. He, more than healthcare costs, is the primary reason for our increasing deficit.
The President lied when he said that his healthcare reform was not a government takeover of healthcare, 1/6 of our economy. He claimed his intent was not to put insurance companies out of business, but that he just wanted to hold insurance companies accountable. I ask then, who will hold the President and Congress accountable for the wasteful out of control spending?
I do not believe the President when he said that there will be no insurance coverage provided for illegal aliens. A great number of members of Congress groaned in disagreement at the assertion that illegal aliens will not be covered.
I do not believe the President when he said that no federal money will be used to pay for abortions. This is a technicality, somehow, somewhat those abortions will be paid for – maybe by private premiums.
The President said that federal conscience clauses to protect healthcare workers from having to assist in morally reprehensible procedures. Isn’t his administration working to negate or overturn the George W. Bush executive order establishing protection for the conscience clause?
The President stated that those opposed to reform would do so at any cost. We who oppose ObamaCare do not oppose healthcare system reform, we oppose the ObamaCare, government-run, Universal Healthcare, Single Payor, Socialized Medicine approach to reform!
The President accused Governor Sarah Palin assertion that ObamaCare would create Death Panels for allocating care to the elderly, if not my name, by implication that ObamaCare would not establish death panel or healthcare rationing. Healthcare will be rationed and the elderly will be short-changed under ObamaCare.
The President said that he would not sign any healthcare reform plan that would add to the deficit. Then he is either lying or has misjudged the cost of ObamaCare with its public healthcare insurance option.
Again the President calls anyone opposing ObamaCare ‘special interests.” He is calling the majority of Americans ‘special interests’.
MEDICAL MALPRACTICE
In what appeared to me to be a bone thrown toward the Republicans, the president said that he has instructed the Secretary of Health and Human Services to begin immediately to pursue Medical Malpractice Reform pilot projects. This was the single responsible thing that the President said in his speech last His in evening. The rest was merely a regurgitation of HB 3200, American’s Affordable Health Care Plan.
Here is an email I sent to radically liberal Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown in regard to medical malpractice insurance:
Thank you for the opportunity to ask you a question regarding health care reform on your Electronic Town Hall to be held on Thursday, September 10th, 2009 from 6:30 -7:15 PM.
Last evening, in the President’s address to the Joint Session of the House and Senate, he seemed to acknowledge the fact and the need to reform medical malpractice insurance.
Do you agree with the need to significantly reform medical liability and to deter junk lawsuits and to put a cap on awards – in order to reduce the cost of healthcare through exorbitant medical malpractice premiums that many physicians have to pay today – and is what drives more and more physicians from the practice of medicine?
This had previously been an area none of the Democratic proposals seemed to address.
I mentioned in a previous post the Barack Obama made the statement that no one is offering any alternatives to the “healthcare crisis” in America.I agree with him that we need change.I agree with him that the majority of the Republicans are offering no real solutions to the problem. But the real solution is radically different from either his plan or what the majority of the Republicans are saying. Here are 10 alternatives to more government and higher taxes:
First of all the government itself makes too many mandates on private insurance companies. They are not allowed to offer “incomplete” coverage. This means you have to pay for coverage for things (pregnancy care, alcohol addiction recovery programs, etc.) even if these things do not at all apply to you.So you already have partially socialized healthcare even if you only have private insurance. They have laws which prevent the sale of insurance across state lines. Why?Just to drive up costs so that the insurance companies can make more money. But getting rid of the insurance companies is not the answer. Then you will be paying for someone else’s risky behavior though your taxes (you already are, but with H.R. 3200, it will be more so).But getting rid of these mandates would save you 20% to 50% on your healthcare.
Secondly, we need to get rid of all of these incentives for employers to offer healthcare. When we do this, even more mandates are placed on the terms of the plan and the costs go up even more. The employee usually just takes the plan, even though it is wasteful, just to get a deduction on his taxes or because there is no better alternative because the government regulations have driven all the good insurance companies out business.
Thirdly, the attitude of the populace needs to change drastically. You wouldn’t buy car insurance that pays for your gas, minor repairs, oil and tire changes, would you?If the extra cost for the insurance was far more than the cost of the extra services you would receive (even though “free”), you would be getting a bad deal.People need to start paying out of pocket for routine healthcare services and prescription drugs rather than being on some plan, even if it is private, which covers every little thing. That is why the “little things” cost so much. You don’t care how overpriced things are if your insurance company is the one paying for it.You also won’t care how much things cost if the government is paying for it.But this is just an illusion; you are really paying for it through higher premiums and/or taxes.Insurance should be used only for catastrophic costs.Such insurance would be more readily available and cheap if wasn’t for government interference.
Fourthly, government regulations already stifle competition by imposing price controls on healthcare. If a doctor chooses to accept Medicare cases, he is forced to charge the same amount of money for all procedures covered by Medicare. No matter how much better one doctor is at performing a procedure than another, they both have to charge the same price. This discourages good healthcare practices. My understanding of H.R. 3200 is that it would go a step further and not only make this requirement for all doctors, but would make their wages uniform.Socialism takes away incentives to perform tasks well.
Fifthly, the FDA contributes to the high cost of prescription drugs. We need to stop them from banning imported drugs and taking perfectly good drugs off the market. The cost of their expensive drug efficacy regulations is passed on to the consumer.(It costs $1 million just to submit the paperwork for these tests, and much more for all the research that needs to go into it, most of which is unnecessary.)Even the drugs that eventually do make the market are always held up for many years. The supposed purpose of these regulations is to prevent the drug from being sold to people who don’t really need them. But doctors often get around this by prescribing them for “off-label” purposes. The FDA also discourages people from using natural alternatives. The FDA is working for the drug companies, not us.
Sixthly, why not just stop taxing healthcare and health insurance? That would also save us a ton of money.
Seventhly, the government regulations are already so complicated, the insurance companies and healthcare providers must spend lost of extra money on lawyers and paper pushers so that they can comply with the law. They pass the costs on to you, or worse yet, go out of business, leaving less competition which increases prices even more. Simply obeying the Constitution and getting rid of federal healthcare regulations would save us another ton of money.
Eighthly, state licensure laws also raise costs. They are supposed to protect the consumer against unqualified healthcare workers. These laws actually raise the cost of healthcare by increasing healthcare worker shortages. The expenses of those entering the field are increased, making it cost prohibitive for those of low income. Because of this and all of the other frustrating regulations, many people chose other occupations or retire earlier.
Ninthly, the government has no business having access to your medical records. This discourages people from seeking the health care that they need, resulting in the subsequent need for more expensive treatment. H.R. 3200 would make this even worse.
Finally, every involvement of the Federal government in healthcare (except for providing for veterans and military personnel) is unconstitutional (read the 10th amendment). Why try to fix something that is so inherently wasteful and illegal?
There are several bills that you can tell your congressman to support to achieve these ends. H.R. 2629, The Coercion is Not Health Care Act simply says, “Participation in, or access to, any program of the Federal Government or eligibility to receive any benefit under Federal law shall not be conditioned on the purchase or maintenance of health insurance coverage. No individual or agency of the Federal Government shall ever require any individual to purchase health insurance coverage.” H.R. 2630, The Protect Patients and Physicians Privacy Act is also a good bill that would do what it says. H.R. 3217, Health Care Choice Act of 2009 would loosen restrictions on selling health insurance across state lines. Finally, H. J. RES. 48 is a proposal for a Constitutional amendment which would prohibit government from engaging in any business activities not specified in the Constitution (including healthcare) and would shut down all such engagements within a period of three years, sell all assets related to these activities, and abolish federal income taxes so that this never happens again.
This morning I heard on the news that the President is willing to drop the public option requirement in his so-called healthcare reform plan. Pressure is mounting in opposition to this unneeded and grossly flawed plan. There is more wrong with the plan than just the public option. He still is intent on passing healthcare 'reform' yet this year.
Following the abominable action of Notre Dame University earlier this year, when its administration invited radically pro-death President Soetoro a/k/a Obama to deliver its commencement address and to receive an honorary doctorate degree, other Catholic organizations are attempting to outdo the school in terms of atrocious behavior. Earlier this month, several large and influential Catholic social and health organizations encouraged their members to support the current ObamaCare supposed healthcare reform bill.
"Why would Catholic Charities USA do this? Well guess what, 5 days after endorsing ObamaCare, Catholic Charities USA, got its first everfederal contract worth $100 million dollars. In other words, JUDAS just got paid! ---American Life League (ALL), August 9, 2009
Catholic Charities USA, The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and the Catholic Health Association have all thrown their weight behind (President Soetoro a/k/a) Obama's push for health care reform. In response, American Life League (ALL) exposes the Trojan Horse hidden in the bill that opens the way for abortion in the video embedded below. ALL is calling on Catholics and other Pro-Life proponents to demand that the bill be scrapped!
Following the video is a transcript of this important video. This video contains a great deal of ammunition for those who oppose the dastardly so-called health care reform bill and who want America to hold to a culture of life, rather than move even more toward a culture of death. Moving to secular socialism is exactly what this bill, euphemistically referred to as America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009 or HR 3200, or ObamaCare, or the Euthanasia Bill, or the Abortion Bill, or Universal Healthcare, or Socialized Medicine, or Nationalized Medicine or Single Payer Healthcare, does.
“There is an awful lot of talk, and therefore an awful lot of confusion about the ObamaCare Health Reform Bill (HR 3200 - America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009) currently waiting a vote in Congress.
“Some say that the Bill will create universal taxpayer-funded abortions, while others say that abortion is nowhere to be found in the bill.
“Some claim that the bill will obtain optimal healthcare for everyone in the country. And there are those who say the bill is targeting the elderly and infirmed for an early grave.
“And as the name calling begins and the shouting ensues, organizations like Catholic Charities USA, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, the Catholic Health (hospitals) Association (CHA), and Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA) are all working to rally support for (Soetoro aka) Obama’s reform of the healthcare system.
“But if you want to understand what is really happening you must have to bite the bullet and read the bill itself to get to the truth. [gregjaye: Something even most Congressman can’t or won’t do.]
“HR 3200, commonly referred to as ObamaCare (or Universal Healthcare, Socialized Medicine, Nationalized Healthcare or Single-Payer Healthcare), is over 1000 pages long. . . .
“The authors of the ObamaCare bill knew full well that any mention of abortion or Planned Parenthood [gregjaye: the biggest and billion-dollar abortion provider in America] would create an uproar from the majority Pro-Life population of the country. So they created a TROJAN HORSE.
Page 30, Section 123 creates yet another bureaucratic entity called the Health Benefits Advisory Committee whose job it is to define the benefits standards that any plan, public or private must contain. This committee, chaired by the Surgeon General, is the VEHICLE being created by Obama and his cronies, to claim that abortion is NOT in the ObamaCare Bill, while enabling them to [gregjaye: stealthily and conveniently] insert it into the Plan once it is passed
This is exactly why (Soetoro alias) Obama, Pelosi, and Peter Orszag have deliberately dodged whether abortion would be covered under the bill.
[The following are excerpts of video taped evidence showing how each dodged the issue.]
On Fox NewsMike Wallace asked Peter Orszag (Director of Management and Budget) whether he was prepared to say government taxpayer-funded health insurance plan that no taxpayer money would go to pay for abortions. Orszag’s reply, “Ahhh, I think that will wind up being part of the debate. I am not prepared to say ahhh explicitly right now,
Pelosi: That’s not, that’s not, that’s not the issue. The issue is people go out there to . . .we’ll be working on that issue . . .
(Soetoro aka) Obama: You know, what I think is important at this stage is not trying to micromanage what benefits are covered . . .
Now you know why Henry Waxman held an emergency session late in the night to strike down the amendment that would bar the commission from being included abortion in the benefits.
“But the TROJAN HORSE Commission isn’t the only section hiding the culture of death.
“Pages 769-777 contain a section (Section 1714) “State Eligibility Option for Family Planning Services.” We all know that “family planning is code for birth control and abortion. So when the bill refers to “family Planning services” in “family planning settings,” we all know that the author is talking about ABORTION INDUSTRIALISTS like Planned Parenthood!
“Now, given this blatant attempt to sneak ABORTION into the package, you can understand why Catholics are OUTRAGED by the support that Catholic Charities USA, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul Society and the Catholic Health Association (CHA) are giving ObamaCare.
"In their action alerts these groups told members and supporters:
The House of Representatives introduced a health care reform bill yesterday afternoon members of Congress are debating this week. . . . Your members of Congress need to hear form you that you SUPPORT healthcare reform, and that the system needs to be reformed now.
"The Catholic Health (Hospitals, etc.) Association (CHA) even produced a video, which begins with a a clip of (Soetoro aka) Obama rallying Congress to support his healthcare plan, and the de Paul Society posted the video on its website.
“Why? Why would Catholic Charities do this? Well guess what, 5 days after endorsing ObamaCare, Catholic Charities USA, got its first ever federal contract worth $100 million dollars. In other words, JUDAS just got paid!"
COMMENT
I looked at all three Catholic organizations' websites, which ALL referred to in their video. I found evidence that on one side of their proverbial mouths they support current healthcare 'reform' and on the other they oppose any reform that includes abortion, conscience protection or senicide (euthanizing or premature killing of elderly). It is unclear where they really stand. It reminds me of the fuzzy positions of the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) in terms of abortion and homosexuality under one of their former leaders Richard Cizak. You can read those articles here.
TAKE ACTION
(1) Catholics need to call their Bishops and ask them to tell Catholic Charities, Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, and Catholic Health Association (CHA) that they must NOT support or in any way support (Soetoro alias) Obama’s Death Care Bill . . . (see www.Canon915.org)
(2) Everyone should call their Congressman and demand that they vote to scrap HR 3200.
Questions to ask our [Doctors,] Senators and Representative about ObamaCare
This is the third in a series of questions about ObamaCare (i.e., Socialized Medicine, Universal Healthcare, Single-Payer Healthcare, Government-Run Healthcare, or Nationalized Healthcare) that conservative and Christian patriots should strongly consider asking our U.S. Representatives and U. S. Senators over the next month, while the Congress is taking its summer recess. If the unnecessary and freedom-robbing healthcare reform being forged and forced by the current administration and the current Democrat-controlled Congress is to be stopped, it is through the voices of many Americans – We the People. It’s a priority TEA Party action item. The questions were developed by Gary Bower (American Values) and are intended to be used in interactions in our Senators and Representatives during the next 30 days.
President Obama has already conceded that there probably won't be a vote on healthcare reform until "the end of September or the middle of October." That means we have August to attend town hall meetings with our representatives and senators, stop by their congressional offices, write letters to the editor and educate our friends and family members about the dangers of socialized medicine. Don Wildmon of the American Family Association (AFA) encourages his supporters to form groups as part of the process of engaging members of Congress.
3. COST. The United States faces a debt crisis. According to many analysts, including Senator Judd Gregg (who is so respected by President Obama that he offered Gregg the post of Secretary of Commerce), the Obama budget will give us $11 trillion of debt at the end of five years and $17 trillion of debt at the end of ten years. (Source: PolitiFact.com).
Question for your Congressmen:Why are Congress and the president pushing through a healthcare bill that would cost another trillion dollars over the next ten years? Shouldn't we concentrate on getting the debt under control first?
COMMENT:
Wouldn’t be better to work on saving the best of the current healthcare system and fix it incrementally? Fix what is broken. Wouldn't be better to get the government's finanical house in order before creating additional massive amounts of debt?
Please take the time to ask your congressman and your Senators to vote no on H.R. 3200 (The America's Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009). And please pass this on!
This bill would:
(If you get sick of reading the following list, just skip down to where it says WORST OF ALL.)
Socialize medicine, require healthcare rationing, would restrict homeschooling rights, give the government that right to decide what medical treatments you can and can’t have, provide free healthcare for non-citizens, exempt from individual taxes any nonresident alien, require you to have a national healthcare ID card, give government access to your bank account, fix the salaries of all doctors (they will all make the same amount no matter how good or bad they are), give the new HC Administration access to all medical records of all Americans, penalize hospitals for what government deems preventable readmissions (incentives for hospital to not treat and release), mandate that hospitals cannot expand (“number of operating rooms or beds”), allow government agencies to disqualify HMOs and other private plans, restrict enrollment of special needs people, mandate Advance (Death) Care Planning consultation, issue payments to community-based organizations (like ACORN), mandate government marriage counseling, mandate mental health services, eliminate choice in residencies of medical students, require forced vaccinations, mandate drug prices, mandate the educating of parents as to how they should raise their children, require doctors to perform two years of service in the National Health Service Corps which would be established under this bill, establish a Public Health Workforce Corps to ensure an adequate supply of public health professionals (after doing just about all it can to drive people away from choosing that profession), develop “Healthy People & National Public Health Performance Standards”, establish school-based “health” clinics (in which abortions could be performed), and establish a National Medical Device Registry.
If the services you receive from this federal government healthcare plan result in malpractice, you would have no legal recourse against the federal government. Any individual who refuses to go on the government plan would be required to pay an additional 2.5% on their income taxes.
Section 441 says in lines 14-15 - “The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax.”
WORST OF ALL, not only would this bill fund abortions (OR MAYBE EVEN FORCE WOMEN TO HAVE ABORTIONS, see section 1713 lines 3-5) and other “family planning services”, but would also force all private health insurance companies to provide abortion coverage.

The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch runs a regular feature in its newspaper identifying an important issue to the local community and asking the vote of the readers on that issue along with comments. Occasionally I will respond and comment on the issue raised, as I did to yesterday’s topic.
The Hot Issue:
Do you think the economy can recover without health-care reform?
_X_ Yes ___ No
My Response:
The following is an unabridged version of my response to the question above. The economy stands a much better chance of recovery if the current Congress and the current occupier of the White House will not implement ObamaCare, the nationalization of our health care system.
Reform IS necessary. Let’s start with putting a cap on Malpractice claims. Let’s allow the purchase of insurance across state lines. Let’s offer tax credits for Health Care Premiums for both employees and businesses. Let’s reward and encourage preventive medicine. Let’s allow the insurance companies to offer an array of policy options instead of mandating certain benefits that may not be needed. Let’s penalize those who abuse themselves through drugs, alcohol, food, promiscuous sexual behavior, etc. Why should society pay for immoral and unhealthy behavior?
I liken this to the current cable TV offerings. I will not subscribe to any cable or satellite TV option until they allow me to select only the channels I want. I do not want to support the trash that you get when you subscribe to any of their current offerings.
States mandate certain insurance coverage this should be up to the market place to determine. Get government out of health care. Medicare should be privatized.
Matt from 10,000Pennies wrote in the YouTube description that accompanies his video, “This was the video that was shown on Fox and Friends on July 7th, 2007 about the cost of the health care reform package.” We previously posted two of 10000Pennies previous videos, which are excellent visionalizations of the meaning of the dollars involved, ObamaCare Wait Times Exposed and The National Debt Road Trip.
“If every member pledged to not vote for (the health-care reform bill) if they hadn’t read it in its entirety, I think we would have very few votes.” - - - Steny Hoyer (D-MD) Majority Leader, U.S. House of Representatives
Congressman Hoyer actually made the above statement this week (Wednesday, 7/8/09) in an interview with CNSNew.com. Hoyer was actually responding to a question from CNSNews.com as to whether he supported a pledge that asks members of the Congress
* to read the entire bill before voting on it and * also make the full text of the bill available to the public for 72 hours before a vote.
Yes, he did say that if members read the bill, then they would not vote for it. Was that the strategy used in the 1200+ page Cap and Trade Bill which recently barely squeaked through the Congress at the end of June? Wasn’t that the same tactic used to rush through the porkified stimulus bill? Is that the modus operandi for Democrat-controlled Congressional action?
What has happened to our representative form of government? Don’t we expect our representatives to read those bills on our behalf and to look out for our interests? Isn’t a basic expectation of the American electorate, that our representatives examine each bill to see if there are harmful elements in it, and to amend or reject it if they find something wrong?
Hoyer’s statement was truthful. It might be considered as a gaffe by some (the Democrats), however, others would consider it speaking the truth (the Conservatives).
Hoyer’s statement sheds some light on the inner workings of this insidious and incendiary 111th Congress led by anti-American socialists and radical leftists. There strategy seems to be to pass as much of their evil agenda as possible as quickly as possible. “Why let a good crisis go to waste,” said one of its chief miscreants Rahm Emanuel, the White House’s chief-of-staff.
Here is a video I found on the Let Freedom Ring website that explains more fully the Health Care Reform Pledge and its purpose:
Colin Hannah’s Let Freedom Ring organization is circulating a pledge called the “Responsible Health-care Reform Pledge.” By signing the pledge lawmakers commit to reading the entire bill and making it available to the public for three days before they cast their votes.
Here is the email I just sent to my two U.S. Senators:
