Conservatives Should Redefine "Racist"

Chuck Woolery has a regular YouTube video feature called Save Us Chuck. In his latest episode republished below Chuck Woolery offers a new definition of “racist.” Woolery posits that if liberals can redefine the original intent of words to drive their agenda or repackage it to mean entirely antithetical meanings, then why can’t conservatives also begin to redefine words. For example, liberals have reprocessed such words as “gay,” “progressive,” “choice” or “women’s rights” to suite their agenda.

Liberals love to use the term or label "racist" as a pejorative against conservatives all the time. It is one of their sure-fire tactics in many election cycles. So why can’t conservatives redefine such a word like “racist” to put across their fundamental beliefs as well?  Woolery spells out his conservative definition of racist:
Racist: A noun used to describe a person that holds the belief that people are responsible for their own actions regardless of their skin color or ethnicity.
In light of this new definition “racist” thus becomes a positive word expressing a basic tenet of conservatism, personal responsibility, which crosses all races and ethnicities. Why should the liberals and their fawning and complicit media friends have exclusivity on reinventing the meaning of long-standing words?

Words to Live By

Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert to be tested by the devil (Matthew 4: 1-4).  After fasting forty days and nights Jesus was hungry.  This of course would be natural.  Satan, who is the tempter, came to Him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”  Have you ever had someone say to you, “If you are a Christian, do this or that?”  That is exactly the same kind of temptation which Jesus faced.

Jesus answered, “It is written:  Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.” Bread provides energy for our cells and nutrients needed for the body to sustain life.  God is saying that bread is not enough to sustain life and provide energy.  Every word of God is needed by individuals just as much as bread is absolutely necessary for life and growth.  Without the word of God proper development is not obtained by an individual.
What about you, my friend?  Are you getting the proper nourishment from God’s word for your life?

Furthermore, Jesus also said, “I am the Bread of Life.  He that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst” (John 6:35).
Have you ever personally believed on Jesus, come to Him, repented of your sin, and asked Him to forgive you of your sins?

Talk is cheap . . . but can be dangerous

A resident of a health care facility in which I work shared with me the following anonymous quotations, which she found in a recent church bulletin.

”Be careful of your tongue, it’s in a wet place and liable to slip.”

“There is no indigestion worse than that which comes from having to eat your own words.”

“The problem with talking too fast is you may say something you haven’t thought of yet.”
I thought those quotes were all excellent. I thought of another.

“. . . the tongue is a small part of the body, and yet it boasts of great things. See how great a forest is set aflame by such a small fire!” - - - James 3:5, The Bible

The recent dramatic damage caused in the California forests by small sparks illustrate the power of something so seemingly innocuous an instrument as the match is very illustrative of the damage a small tongue can do.
