It has been a while since I read and responded to an AlterNet.org article. Well today an article about a new book, "Katha Pollitt: Ending a Pregnancy Is a Common, Normal Event in Women's Lives—Let's Talk About It That Way ...We need to see abortion as an urgent practical decision that is just as moral as the decision to have a child," raised by ire. You can see by the title of the article why it might offend a pro-life person. There can be no justification whatsoever for most abortions. However, the progressives treat abortion as a sacred sacrament, a rite. See my comments below. First to the article itself, and second to a commenter who claimed that "Abortion is green." What foolishness.

The author, Katha Pollitt, claims, "We need to talk about ending a pregnancy as a common, even normal, event in the reproductive lives of women..." Say what?
 
Is it???
 
No matter how you say it or dress it up by calling it .... "choice" ... "ending a pregnancy" ... "terminating a pregnancy" ... "a reproductive right" ... the fact is that heinous act is still an abortion. It is still murder. It is not normal. Actually abortion is one of the most, if not the most cruel, vile, and inhumane act one human being can commit on another human being. It rivals only the beheading of post-born human beings who refuse to submit to Islamic statist or terrorist ultimatums!
 
Taking the life of an innocent, defenseless unborn baby may be common, but only because a few ill informed activist judges invented a so-called "right" that is found no where in the U. S. Constitution.
 
Is it normal? is child abuse, normal? Is rape, normal? Is murder, normal? is theft normal? No, abortion is the unnatural taking of life of a human being prior to birth.
 
This new book, PRO: Reclaiming Abortion Rights, described in this article is more of the same lies that emanate from the minds and hearts of deceived, if not cold-blooded, heartless, progressives.

A Matter of Life

 

I read the above verse again this morning and marvel at its clarity and its perfect summation of the philosophy of  many folks on the Left in America, Europe and the rest of the Western world. The gross injustice of abortion is regarded by many as a "right" and something good. Killing of a pre-born human being is condoned. Feminists and most liberals seem glorify abortion as a  cherished act of worship. It is tantamount to the ancient practice of placing children on the altar in sacrifice to their imaginary gods.

Then there is the elevation of sodomy to a respected lifestyle choice. Although it is primarily deviant behavior, it is now considered by progressives to be a respected alternative to natural heterosexual behavior. Homosexuality, lesbianism, bi-sexuality and even transgenderism are all condemned by most major religions. The left insists on having society embrace these perversions. It is not enough for Liberals to have the freedom as consenting adults to participate in this immoral behavior behind closed doors, but they want all of society to join them in their celebration of this decadence. They now work at punishing or ostracizing anyone who has does not join the bandwagon. Those who do not get on board are considered homophonic bigoted discriminators...

Loss of basic values and freedoms are the natural results of any citizens who go along to get along with the activists bent on tearing down the foundation of a just society.  Progressives led by President Barack Obama in his quest to fundamentally transform America are doing just that. He is intentionally and intently working on changing America from a country that respects life and biblical principles and values to a hedonistic, goodless and godless culture like past civilizations that choose the path of death and deviance over life, righteousness, and justice for all.

I am appalled at the prolific positive promotion of homosexuality in our culture, which is so rampant today. This perverse progressive agenda is being fueled by those bent on destroying the foundations or traditional American values and virtues. Not happy just having desensitized the consciences of millions of people via their movies, music, video games, and television to the immorality and negative aspects of homosexuality, they desire to infect all of our culture. This ungodly ideology has crept into our schools and colleges advancing a lifestyle that is deadly to individuals and to society as a whole.

The liberal left now has set their sights on making inroads into sports arena. It is not enough that professional sports tolerate and accept drug abusers, wife beaters, and cheaters. Now they want us to accept those who practice unnatural, unhealthy and abnormal homosexual behavior. Apparently so hungry to gain a foothold into sports, they have glorified a borderline player vaunting him to a status way above what his skill on the football field deserves. I have heard only rapturous reports on NPR and even ESPN following Michael Sam's every move from his low round draft pick to his pre-season exploits to his failure to make the final cut of the profession team that drafted him. He’s been treated as if he were some kind of hero or star.

What next? Will the progressive left proclaim a pedophile, a porn star, or a serial purse snatcher as the first of his or her kind to play in a sport? It is a sad commentary on the state of our society when we elevate any sinner to that status of saint, which many in our society have done in the case of Michael Sam.  I admit that I too am a sinner as every human being is. We should not glorify wanton immoral behavior of any kind, be it fornication, pornographic addiction, drug abuse, child abuse, theft, adultery, or homosexuality. In doing so it only further weakens the moral fabric and foundation of our already shaky society.

We see evil all around us today. TV, newspapers, and radio all chronicle the ravages of evil. I am continuing a new series today, taking a brief break from my current series, “Armor of God.”

God brings calamity on the nations that sin. As Scripture notes in Psalm 9:17, “The wicked will be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God.”

In Ezekiel 14:12-23 we read, “The word of the LORD came again to me, saying, Son of man, when the land sinneth against me by trespassing grievously, then will I stretch out mine hand upon it, and will break the staff of the bread thereof, and will send famine upon it, and will cut off man and beast from it: Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord GOD.

Do you think God could destroy the United States because of our sin? What is keeping God from judging or destroying America for its great sins such as our practice of nearly unlimited abortions, our condoning of homosexuality, and our rampant immortality?

 

The Super Bowl Ad That Was Too "Hot" For Even Fox?

The video above presents evidence showing how far that America has degenerated from its inception. Vulgarity, decadence, immorality, and all other manner of licentiousness are tolerated. No, more than that, this corruption is embraced.

Yet, a simple, clear, wholesome presentation of a spiritually encouraging and uplifting message is condemned as too controversial! Wow, how far the United States has sunk. First, God was taken out of the schools, resulting in an education system that is ineffective, immoral and merely serves as a propaganda tool for an increasing secular and godless Leftist government. Second, the Ten Commandments are declared unwelcome in most societal institutions. Now even the network that seems to have a vestige of conservative values is shutting the Christian message out. Is this Red China or the Soviet Union? Day by day we are looking more like a communistic state than the America at our founding.

What a terrible predicament we find America to be in today. We need individual revival. We need to beg for God’s mercy and for His forgiveness instead of driving Him completely out of our lives and the life of our nation.

The Mummy (1999)

I visited my sister’s home last evening, while there I watched this movie called, “The Mummy”. The time period portrayed is after World War I. The Museum of Antiquities in Cairo, Egypt wanted to find the “City of the Dead” and recover the treasure buried there. Two teams of archaeologists raced against each other to be the first to find the city and claim the buried treasure. One team was British, which was headed by a women librarian, the heroine, and who was sponsored by the Museum. The other team was American, which appeared to be freelance archaeologists.

The city had a curse on it, that whoever opened the burial vault of a particular mummy would be killed and the ten plagues of Egypt would come upon them. The woman determined that the mummy was not a mummy at all, but the person had been buried alive with flesh eating beetles and was eaten alive by the beetles. If he was disturbed then he had the power to cannibalize other people to make his own body flesh out, and once that was done, he would then be immortal with immense power and could sacrifice a woman and make his wife immortal also.

To prevent this scenario from happening, the locals in the area would fight against those who would find the city of the Dead and keep them from living to tell about it. Once the Mummy was unleashed they fought to destroy the Mummy along with the archaeologists. One local was promised gold treasure if he helped the Mummy; which he did. He met a terrible fate.

The archaeologists read accent manuscripts to determine how to take away the Mummies power and immortality, which they did, and he was soon subdued.

My sister observed that I was upset over the movie and said, “It is only a movie”. “Only a movie,” I thought. “What about, “Towering Inferno,” a year after the movie came out a sky scraper caught on fire above where any ladders could reach. Then we had the twin towers knocked down by fire. Only a movie, I used to watch “Star Trek”. The people would walk up to a door and it would open automatically. Today I walk up to doors and they open up automatically and I am not even on the Star Ship Enterprise. You never know when what you've seen in a movie might come true.

God is misrepresented in this movie. Unless one knows the true God and the Scriptures, one is likely to believe wrongly about God. God does not cannibalize the living to put flesh on bones. The Bible describes that in the Valley of Dry Bones, when the prophet Ezekiel spoke no one was cannibalized for flesh to be put on the bones. People do not arise from the dead and resume their marriage. Death cancels one’s marriage. After death comes the judgment of the deceased by Jesus Christ. The ten plagues on Egypt was a display of God’s power and brought about the release of Israel from slavery. Today, we have Israel as a nation, the celebration of the Passover and Easter as reminders of the event.

Archaeologists studied the ancient manuscripts as if they were true, but ignored the more ancient true manuscript, which is the Holy Bible. In it, we learn about eternal life and immortality which even the archaeologists and you, the reader, can obtain.

If you desire eternal life and immortality for yourself, and if you want to escape from eternal torment by fire, then you must do something. You must, put your faith in the fact that Jesus died for you, that He received in Himself the wrath of God for you. Then, you must accept by faith the fact that He rose from the dead. You must believe that Jesus is simultaneously human and divine: You must believe in your heart, your inner being, that He is the only begotten (unique, one-of-a-kind) Son of God. YOU can pray, now, confessing you are a sinner, separated from God, and invite Jesus into your heart. A sample prayer is, “Lord Jesus Christ forgive me of my sin and come into my heart.”

Time to Excise a Cancerous California?

Just a Thought

On the Quinn and Rose Radio Show this morning I heard a brief discussion about the delicious idea of expelling California from the United States of America. I thought about this at different times during the day. The more I thought of it the more I liked it.

California is the home of homosexuality and Hollywood generated filth and degradation. They are even considering banning or severely restricting home-schooling. They foster wide open borders and arms welcoming many illegal aliens. Wittingly or unwittingly, California seems to be driven to destroy all that is good about America. What starts as culture destroying elements in California, like a slow growing cancer or an infection, spreads throughout the nation. Maybe it is time to purge America of the vile and putrid social “progress” being exported from this snake pit.

Perhaps the line needs to be drawn figuratively and literally between the rest of America and this infectious west coast renegade late coming colony. Let them have the 9th Circuit Federal Court. Let them have their RINO liberal leaning Governor, let them have the Boxers, Feinsteins. Make Pelosi queen of that wayward colony. Build a border around this decadent toxic dump.

Planned Parenthood Gets Knocked Up

I have reviewed a few movies on this blog over the last few months. Lately, on Wednesdays I try to review some of the movies I have recently seen. However, most of the movies I have reviewed have been of exceptional quality and which I would recommend to nearly anyone to view. The films I have reviewed had a moral basis and or message.

This movie review of Knocked Up is an exception. Knocked Up (2007) was recently released on DVD. The only reason I discuss it here is because of the irony I see with comments made by a Planned (really Preventing) Parenthood physician about this movie in the September 28-30, 2007 edition of USA Weekend Magazine supplement to my local newspaper. It is also an illustration of the worst of elements and products being produced by Hollywood. It is a culture-killer of a movie.

Vanessa Cullins, M.D., an executive physician with the morally bankrupt and most morally deficient Planned Parenthood Federation of America commented on the movie. In the USA Weekend Magazine article Dr. Cullins said, "I must admit, this movie stressed me out. [laughs.] I was distressed by everything from the lack of communication between the two characters to the way that it painted a rosy picture of a fairy-tale situation where the characters find true love by getting pregnant form a one-night stand (gregjaye's comment: Which one night stands and casual, uncommitted sexual immorality, Dr. Cullins, your vile organization teaches and encourages through its educational classes and materials and corruptive teenwire website - as long as you buy PPFA condoms and contraception and abortion services]. Aside from all the [gregjaye's comment: vulgar humor] laughter, I hope it encourages people to think about being better prepared (gregjaye's comment: read that condom, birth control, not virtue, chastity, abstinence, waiting for marriage) before having sex."

Dr. Cullins concludes, "It seemed the filmmakers gave short shift to Alison's decision to carry the baby to term (gregjaye's comment: decided not to kill the baby). There's a brief scene in which her mother implores her to "take care of it (gregjaye's comment: "it" a convenient way to refer to the baby as a non entity - a lie used by the abortionist to full advantage), and that seemed accurate in depicting most family (gregjaye's comment: you wish, doctor) conversations about abortion. Euphemisms are used, and the details of the process are never mentioned. Given the circumstances and context of Alison's life and career (gregjaye: another liberal feminist lie - the transcendent import of self-fulfillment over God's design for family and that a housewife is inferior to a "career woman"), however , it seemed odd how ewe never saw her consciously consider the various options before her (gregjaye's comment: abortion is immoral in nearly every situation and should almost never even be considered as an option). Of course, then it wouldn't have been a comedy (gregjaye's comment: you would rather have it be a tragedy, doctor? Which it would indeed be, to both the baby and the mother if the woman had an abortion.).

Save your money and don’t buy the DVD. Do not rent this film. Don't even watch it on TV. Just avoid it like the plague that it is. It is morally reprehensible. When it comes to moral reprehension or revulsion no one does it better than the Planned Parenthood Federation of America or any other abortion providers for that matter. So when PPFA makes a "moral" judgement it is worth pointing out the hypocrisy.

gregjaye’s movie-review-in-abstentia rating ½* out of *****. Here is what I know that is objectionable about this movie - its carnal content, its crude and vulgar language, its depiction of sex, alcohol and drugs. The only redeeming element is that it caused consternation and chagrin of the PPFA in that their liberal “blessed sacrament” of abortion was not even seriously considered as an alternative to giving life to the baby.

The basic definition seems to describe our society at the present time and many individuals in it. One if the above definitions noted that "American courts have not yet settled on a satisfactory definition of what constitutes porn." However, God has settled the issue long ago. The Bible states in Paul's letter to the Thessalonians, "For this is the will of God, your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality." (3)

WHY IS PORN SO PROFITABLE?

It is a multi-billion dollar business in America and worldwide. To many people it gives them a temporary high and is cheaper than drugs. It offers a “safe” escape from reality.

WHY IS PORN SO POPULAR?

Sex sells. Removal of moral absolutes has given rise to all forms of perversion. Pornography, like homosexuality, adultery, any sex outside of traditional marriage is immorality. Soft core to hard core, it is all not good for you. Some claim we have freedom of speech. Pornography is like yelling "fire" in a crowded movie theater.

Actually, much of the movie, music, television and advertisement industries are portals to pornography. Even the education with its “comprehensive” or condom-based sex education is another point of entrance to immorality including pornography.

Why is porn so pervasive? More and more people are connected to the Internet these days. The Internet has potential for great good, but equal or greater potential for evil. In reality, the Internet is a reservoir, an efficient carrier of this virulent destructive agent, pornography. Not only secular society is involved with porn, but increasing number of bible believing true Christians are becoming addicted to it as well.

WHY IS PORN SO PERNICIOUS?

Much of this growing popularity comes from people thinking that it does not harm anyone. That is a lie. It harms the people exploited by the pornographers as well as poisoning the minds and hearts of the users of porn. It affects children, spousal relations and entire families. Like gambling, alcohol and drugs, pornography is addictive and destined to destroy its users.

It is insidious, in addition to it being addictive. It is slowly, subtly harmful and destructive. It destroys individuals and families. It robs the person from a true appreciation of God’s design and plan for people, relationships and sex.

Porn is a choice. It is a bad choice. People should be free to engage in it if they choose, but we should not sanction or make it easy.

WHY PORN CAN AND SHOULD PUMMELED

By "pummeled" I mean beaten back, restrained or constrained. At a minimum we should limit its accessibility to innocent children.

To a certain extent we should encourage and support local and community self-regulation. For example SB 16 was going to be challenged by the sex industry to insure that sex shops and strip clubs are not inhibited in any way. Well, just this evening I heard that the pro-porn lobby could not obtain signatures to place the new law on the ballot. All Ohio SB 16 wanted to do was to insist porn shops close down certain hours of the night and that customers could not physically touch (or further exploit) nude dancers.

We should build in some constraints so that children cannot have easy access to in any tax subsidized public library or in government schools. All Federal funding should be cut off to any school or library that does not use filters on their computers.

If you are involved in pornography, and we all are to a certain degree if we are actively living in American society today, seek help as you would an alcohol, drug or gambling addiction. One source of help on the Internet is the website Setting Captives Free. This site has many aides in helping people addicted to pornography.

Pace is Right

I am not sure which war is more troublesome, the war on terrorism in Iraq or the truly exasperating war on Political Correctness.

I wholeheartedly agree with the comments of Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Peter Pace regarding the immoral nature of homosexuality. Just exactly what Zell Miller said recently about abortion applies to homosexual agenda. He said in Macon, Georgia a week or so ago, “Sometimes in the life of a nation a time comes when men and women of conscious and courage have to stand up and be counted and say “enough”, “no more”, “this cannot continue”. We really need to stop our free fall toward oblivion and say “No” to feminists’ and their liberal cohorts regarding abortion and to say “No” to radical activists regarding the homosexual infiltration, infestation and incursion into mainstream life of America. This week General Pace stood up and said “enough.” I sincerely hope President Bush has the backbone to support General Peter Pace., a man of courage and conviction. I salute you sir.

Preserving the Holiness of Marriage

Have you ever heard of “holy matrimony”? In the defense of marriage I never hear marriage called holy anymore. Jesus said that in the beginning God created mankind, male and female. He created one of each and told the couple. “Be fruitful and multiply an fill the earth.” Paul writes that the marriage bed is undefiled but adulterers will be destroyed.

GOD’S STANDARD

You see sexual activity between husband and wife is holy because God created it that way, but sexual activity outside of it is adultery. This brings a broader meaning to the word than is found in the dictionary.

Altering or deviating from God’s intended use of sex, which is intended exclusively for each married couple, is adultery. Thus, homosexuality is a form of adultery Bill Clinton said that it did not make it the top ten (commandments).

IMMORALITY ENUMERATED

In the book of Leviticus, which is one of the first five books of the Bible, there are many other sexual prohibitions which would be forms of adultery as well. One of them is to have sexual relations with an animal (bestiality). No sexual relations with your neighbor’s wife. Do not take a wife and her mother or her sister. A man should not lie with his father’s wife. You shall not approach any that is near of kin to uncover their nakedness. Neither the nakedness of your father or your mother. Do not uncover the nakedness of your sister. Don’t uncover the nakedness of your fathers with your mother your sister.

Do not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother and don’t get involved with his wife. Do not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law or the nakedness of your brother’s wife. Do not uncover a woman during her menstrual cycle.

These abominations were done by the men of Canaan, therefore God sent Israel into the land with the command to kill every man, woman and child in the land. Israel was warned by God that if they defiled the land by abhorrent sexual behavior that the land would spew them out as the nations that were before them.

CONSEQUENCES OF IMMORAL BEHAVIOR

God is no respecter of persons; America is as responsible before God as any other nation. With evil conduct among the people of any nation, the land could throw out its inhabitants. How do we know that the war on terror is not a result of our own evil conduct?
