Kelly Boggs wrote an article about the extremely obscene Folsum Street Fair, which is an annual abhorrent display permitted in San Francisco each year. The gist of his article is provided in the article’s title, “400,000 People, and No Media?”
On September 30th approximately 400,000 mostly homosexuals took part in the Folsum Street Fair this year. Boggs describes what this annual event really is, “one of San Francisco's premier celebrations of alternate lifestyle -- specifically "leather pride." The "leather community" is a euphemism for those that indulge in sadomasochism, also known as S&M. These are individuals that enjoy bondage, whipping, spanking and other unmentionable perversions.”
Why did the main stream media choose not to report on this major conflagration of mass perversion? This was a celebration of much of what homosexuality and lesbianism is all about. Neither Katie Couric nor Brian Williams nor any other major news anchor reported on this event. Why?
Boggs answers that question, “If the truth of what took place in the streets of San Francisco on Sept. 30 were broadcast from sea to shining sea, the "homosexual rights" movement would suffer a significant setback. If grassroots Americans saw homosexuals blatantly flaunting their sexuality in public, they would be appalled. Why did the main stream media decide not to cover this major conflagration of mass perversion? This was a celebration of much of what homosexuality and lesbianism is all about.
“Make no mistake about it: America's major news organizations are complicit in promoting homosexuality. Hence, they chose to act as if the Folsom Street Fair did not even happen. . .
“Let the infamous and unbiblical Fred Phelps and six of his followers show up to protest anywhere, and it will make the news. But 400,000 people show up at the Folsom Street Fair and the media completely ignores it because they understand it will impact negatively on the homosexual movement."
Yes, there definitely is a significant media bias. I agree with the comment of the editor of the Boggs' article who stated that “what is at stake in the cultural battle and what the future holds for the society and our children if activists succeed in defining homosexuality as a protected status.”
How true that is . That is precisely why we must urge President Bush to veto the Defense Appropriations Bill on which Democrats attached the so-called “hate crimes” legislation. All “hate crimes” law will do is to establish the first step toward silencing Judeo-Christian based Biblical truth about the grossly immoral, unhealthy, unnatural and perverse homosexual behavior.
