Black Belt Patriotism, How to Reawaken America

Chuck Norris, martial arts expert, actor and patriot writes a book describing his philosophy of life, living and what for him and for America are the defining issues today. His life was affected by two major influences: (1) a Judeo-Christian belief system, which translate into practical actions and (2) conservative principles which compel activism.

Many know Chuck Norris as the movie and TV star. The TV series, Walker, Texas Ranger, for many years still plays regularly on TV in syndication. Norris currently writes a regular column for WorldNetDaily.com and other outlets. He spends a lot of his time raising and home-schooling his twin daughters.

One of his chief passions is for a program he has developed for at-risk Middle School kids, which he founded and calls KickStart. I enjoyed reading the book, which gives a glimpse into the life and beliefs of this celebrity and black belt patriot. At 69 years old his faith, his physical and spiritual fit lifestyle gives credence to his message. He surely is the kind of person kids and adults would do well to emulate, instead of some of the decadent rap music artists, sports, movie and TV stars which pollute the entertainment media today.

I recommend this book as an excellent read and as a basic reference book on key conservative and Judeo-Christian issues.

The Search for a New President

Yes, Bible believing Christians need to start searching for a new President. But first, I want talk about someone else who is searching for new president.

The University of Cincinnati announced last week that their president, Nancy Zimpher, has resigned to take a position in New York. I have several reasons for saying good riddance to this.

She did not lift a finger to stop University Hospital from performing abortions. There is only one other hospital in the Cincinnati area that does.

She has continued to follow a policy of gouging taxpayers with all the wasteful government grants that U.C. gets. These are both unconstitutional (10th amendment) and unnecessary. They’re unnecessary because corporations would provide adequate grants to do the research that is really valuable. But the way it is now, the corporations “piggy back” on taxpayer’s funded grants so that they don’t have to spend as much of their own money. If you don’t want your money going to pay for experiments that you find morally reprehensible, you can boycott the corporations which perform them by not buying their products. But you can’t boycott the tax man without leaving the country or going to jail.

Zimpher did nothing to stop the medical school from teaching med students the “benefits” of teaching children the “safe” way to fornicate themselves. If fact, she approved a recent week long series of events sponsored by a sexual enhancement product company at the U.C. Wellness Center called “Sexploration”.

Unfortunately, one of the leading candidates to replace Zimpher can’t be much better. She uses U.C.’s email system (paid for by taxpayers) to send us (employees) messages to pass on to our legislators in support of the same wasteful and morally reprehensible policies. Examples include the messages in support of the recent economic stimulus bill (and adding more on to it) and messages against Ohio legislation to ban cloning and embryonic stem cell research. It’s not just that this U.C. employee is on the wrong side of these issues, but it is illegal and unfair to use taxpayer’s money to support a political cause. Hopefully someone else will step forward to reverse this increasing trend to wickedness.

And yes, we do need another POTUS as well. At least if we are going to remain a union of states. Barack Obama’s wasteful spending, his intentions to prevent murderers of the unborn from receiving justice, his continuance of the bloody wars and failure to reign in our overextended military are just a few of the reasons that it is imperative to remove B.O. from office.

We have talked several times on this blog about his lack of proper citizenship credentials calls into question the very legitimacy of his oath of office. Should we obey laws passed by Congress and signed into law by this usurper? Should the members of the military disobey orders given by B.O. as Commander and Chief? I’m curious about what the other contributors of this blog would have to say about this. If you were in the military now, would you disobey your commander’s orders if they originated with B.O.?

Jindal, Ya'll

The Republican response to President Barry Soetoro’s (a/k/a Barack Obama) remarks to Congress last night was provided by Governor Bobby Jindal (R-LA). Jindal’s speech may have been absent of an exited live audience, the gift of reading a teleprompter, but it was significantly more substantive in content compared to the speech of the President.

On the Stimulus Bill

Republicans put forward plans to create jobs by lowering income tax rates for working families, cutting taxes for small businesses, strengthening incentives for businesses to invest in new equipment and hire new workers, and stabilizing home values by creating a new tax credit for home-buyers.

“These plans would cost less and create more jobs.

“But Democratic leaders in Congress rejected this approach. Instead of trusting us to make wise decisions with our own money, they passed the largest government spending bill in history -- with a price tag of more than $1 trillion with interest.

“While some of the projects in the bill make sense, their legislation is larded with wasteful spending. It includes $300 million to buy new cars for the government, $8 billion for high-speed rail projects, such as a "magnetic levitation" line from Las Vegas to Disneyland . .

“Democratic leaders say their legislation will grow the economy. What it will do is grow the government, increase our taxes down the line and saddle future generations with debt . . .”

On Energy

“To strengthen our economy, we need urgent action to keep energy prices down. All of us remember what it felt like to pay $4 at the pump -- and unless we act now, those prices will return. To stop that from happening, we need to increase conservation, increase energy efficiency, increase the use of alternative and renewable fuels, increase our use of nuclear power, AND increase drilling for oil and gas here at home.”

How to strengthen America

John Freshwater & the State of Public Education

Here is a comment to my article which I found on the website, Choose the Hero. That website posted my article, “Is Public Education Hopelessly Lost?”

“Freshwater is incompetent and dangerous to the children. A creationist science teacher who burns kids? You picked a real zero to back there. After he is fired, he and his supporters should take up a collection to pay the school for having wasted their time and money.”

Here is my response:

Actually, it is the educational system that deserves the accolades that you bestowed on Mr. Freshwater. The descriptions “Incompetent” “Dangerous” and “Radical Faith in the Flawed Unscientific Theory of Evolution” all aptly characterize our failed public education system.

Mr. Freshwater represents the antithesis of what currently marks education failed state. He cares for his students. He loves to teach. He is good at it. He gets positive results, and students learn.

How do we fix the public education system? For starters we

(1) Abolish the federal Department of Education (DOE).

(2) Take away the non-profit status of the National Education Association (NEA) and the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) for their student-ignoring, subversive leftist-driven political agenda and activism.

(3) Encourage and fund alternatives to public schools to make them more competitive and accountable to parents, the community and society.

Without doing these things mentioned above, our schools and the education system will remain broken and in a perpetual state of disrepair.

Therefore the only real solution may be a mass exodus of children from what amounts to the government indoctrination centers. Caring, Christian, and/or conservative have no choice but to pull their children out of the schools en masse. Next fall would not be too early to do so.

The Real Crisis is Belief in Man-Made Global Warming

Global warming is not the crisis; it is the belief in and actions taken on the false notion of man-made or man-caused global warming that is the crisis.

Man-caused global warming is a lie. Man is not the primary cause of global warming as Gore on others falsely claim. The climate is cyclical. Blame the sun. Global warming has given rise to an industry of its own, meant to enrich Gore and other deceivers.

Global warming is a ruse to redistribute the world’s wealth, to bring on the dawning of a socialistic utopia. This is a way to destroy capitalism and the sovereignty of our nation. It needs to be resisted and rejected for the falsehood it is. It is an expensive boondoggle just like the so-called economic stimulus (mis)appropriation bill . . .

CARBON COPY

Gore has already made millions spreading the lie. Gore and others stand to make million more off dealing carbon credits. Oil companies will be shut down.

Global warmins is chiefly a political issue and not a scientific one. It is junk science at best. It is being promulgated for personal aggrandizement by the inventor of the Internet himself and those that will personally benefit from it.

It is WE the people who stand to lose the most – high cost of alternative “fuels” which actually cannot replace oil or coal right now. We may even have to walk instead of drive. We will become impoverished.

Industry as a whole loses because alternative fuels are not here and cannot meet the demand now or in the near future. More jobs will be lost to China et al. China will win – they will ignore any call to play the carbon credit game. America loses.

I am all for alternative energy. But until they are put in place we must drill here, drill now using our rich domestic oil and clean coal supply and NUCLEAR energy. We can, we should, we must reduce our dependence on foreign oil. The foolish Marxist-oriented extremist environmentalists have hogtied and crippled our nation causing the great degree of dependence on Islamic terrorist supporting states in the Middle East.

Going entirely green right now is a foolish pipe dream. What we need is more oil to flow through our pipelines and end the nightmare!

Stimulus Bill Explained

Shortly after class, an economics student approaches his economics professor and says, "I don't understand this stimulus bill. Can you explain it to me?"

The professor replied, "I don't have any time to explain it at my office, but if you come over to my house on Saturday and help me with my weekend project, I'll be glad to explain it to you." The student agreed.

At the agreed-upon time, the student showed up at the professor's house. The professor stated that the weekend project involved his backyard pool.

They both went out back to the pool, and the professor handed the student a bucket. Demonstrating with his own bucket, the professor said, "First, go over to the deep end, and fill your bucket with as much water as you can." The student did as he was instructed.

The professor then continued, "Follow me over to the shallow end, and then dump all the water from your bucket into it." The student was naturally confused, but did as he was told.

The professor then explained they were going to do this many more times, and began walking back to the deep end of the pool. The confused student asked, "Excuse me, but why are we doing this?"

The professor matter-of-factly stated that he was trying to make the shallow end much deeper.

The student didn't think the economics professor was serious, but figured that he would find out the real story soon enough. However, after the 6th trip between the shallow end and the deep end, the student began to become worried that his economics professor had gone mad. The student finally replied, "All we're doing is wasting valuable time and effort on unproductive pursuits. Even worse, when this process is all over, everything will be at the same level it was before, so all you'll really have accomplished is the destruction of what could have been truly productive action!"

The professor put down his bucket and replied with a smile,

"Congratulations. You now understand the stimulus bill."

111th Congress of the United States

Whereas, the United States Congress has otherwise appropriated, committed, borrowed, and printed some $10 trillion throughout 2008 and into 2009 over and above the regular budget, and

Whereas the bulk of these funds have been used to “bailout” or otherwise subsidize banks, financial firms, delinquent homeowners, and other institutions, and

Whereas, all of this record-setting expenditure has been borrowed funds not otherwise available to the Treasury of the United States, and

Where, the conditions leading to the current financial crisis were created by government and are a direct result of 15 years of flawed fiscal, monetary and social policy,

Now therefore, we the undersigned citizens of the United States do hereby call on Congress to take the following immediate actions:

1. Insist that all funds expended or committed by any agency or authorized agent of the United States be subject to a public vote of the elected Congress.

2. Undertake an immediate investigation of exactly how all funds have been spent, to whom the Federal Reserve has issued loans and the terms of such loans, and otherwise make the entire process of the financial bailout completely transparent.

3. Block all moves by the Obama Administration to hand homeowners of mortgages in default or near default a reduction in principle of the amount of the mortgage.

4. Bring an immediate end to the bailout and subsidies for firms and individuals who have made bad decisions and allow market forces to find the appropriate price level of housing and securities to enable the market to again function.

A Hallowed Haloed Hero, or a Big Zero?

Today an AP photograph that accompanied an article on YahooNews caught my attention. Typical of the opposition media (ABC, AP, CBS, CNN, MSNBC, NY Times, PBS, etc.) who is so enamored with this man whom they worship as an idol. The picture says it all. The contemplative, nearly canonized St. Barry, who in reality has accomplished nothing except double our national deficit during his first month in office. He is nothing more than a political hack and neighborhood organizer from Chicago, who bought the election with political savvy, dirty tricks, and with George Soros and foreign money.

The first paragraph of the YahooNews article reads, "Urging strict future restraint even as current spending soars, President (Barry Soetoro a/k/a) Barack Obama pledged on Monday to dramatically slash the skyrocketing annual budget deficit as he started to dole out the record $787 billion economic stimulus package he signed last week." His statement is laughable. He sounds like a heroin addict, "I will quit after one more fix, I promise. The bottom line as usual for this great deceiver is his talk does not match his talk. It is not even close.

Here is one example of Soetoro double talk, "I refuse to leave our children with a debt that they cannot repay." What? After pushing through a so-called stimulus package, which was little stimulus and much pork and political payoff, last week, he has the nerve to say that he doesn't want to burden our children? Does this man take Americans as complete fools? To me his halo is a big zero, it is not hallowed in any way, shape, or form.

President Barry Soetoro (a/k/a Barack Obama) has been made out to be some sort of a “messiah” by the opposition media (ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, NY Times, PBS etc.), but in the end and at best all he is a warmed over Jimmy Carter.

Yet and still, because the effectiveness of the opposition media a large number of Americans, according to a new Harris Poll, have President Soetoro (a/k/a Obama) beating out Jesus as an American 'hero.' This was reported by WorldNetDaily.com.

When Americans were asked whom they admired enough to call their No. 1 hero, the majority of respondents answered "President (Soetoro a/k/a ) Obama." In the new online Harris poll, citizens chose Jesus Christ as No. 2, followed by Martin Luther King. Others in the top ten, in descending order, were Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, Abraham Lincoln, John McCain, John F. Kennedy, Chesley Sullenberger and Mother Teresa, according to Harris Interactive.

That Harris poll is a sad testmony as to the current state of affairs of our culture. We are in very sad shape, indeed, when an inexperienced and unaccomplished Chicago political hack 'bests' the Savior of the universe in anything. It is a shameful condemnation of American society. Although shocking, it is just another indication of how far this society and culture has sunk. God help us all.

Is Public Education Hopelessly Lost?

Are Teachers the Key to Success?

The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch newspaper had an interesting article last Sunday titled, “Plan calls for judging teacher on results.” It was about the Ohio Governor’s desire to reform education in his state. The article included and concluded its dissertation with comments about the difficulty in ridding the schools of poor, bad or ineffective teachers. They mentioned John Freshwater by name as the only example cited. Not a teacher who had sex with a student, not a teacher who worked as a prostitute on the side, or not a teacher convicted of some felony. No it was a dedicated Christian man and model teacher, who kept a personal Bible on his desk and who allegedly marked a students arm during a science experiment.

TAKING A SHOT AT JOHN FRESHWATER

The article also took another poke at embattled Mount Vernon middle school science teacher John Freshwater:

“School leaders have long complained that districts have little recourse against ineffective teachers who haven't broken laws or work rules. Also, a state law unrelated to tenure can make termination procedures expensive for districts .

“Take the case of John Freshwater, a Mount Vernon science teacher accused of burning a cross shape on a student's arm with a science instrument. Before the district can vote to fire him, it had to offer a hearing at its expense.

“Freshwater's hearing, which is to resume this week, has cost Mount Vernon schools about $200,000 so far."

So what was the paper saying? John Freshwater should not have a right to appeal the school board’s decision? Is it implying he should be paying the school districts costs?

As I have been following this story in the newspapers and other media sources both supportive and those in obvious opposition, I conclude that the Columbus Dispatch has an obvious bias against Mr. Freshwater. Originally he was confronted and disciplined for not removing his personal bible on his desk. After his refusal, other charges were conjured up including the “burning” or more appropriately the marking of the young man's arm.

Nothing was done about the marking until the boy’s parents filed a lawsuit against the school district and Mr. Freshwater several months following the alleged incident. That side of the story is woefully ignored or neglected. What is emphasized is Mr. Freshwater’s daring to bring his Christian faith into the secular humanistic classroom. The newspaper seems not to appreciate or tolerate Christianity, preferring the religion of Secular Humanism to be the only accepted creed of choice in the classroom and on the public square.

Truth be told, secular humanism actually is just as much a religion as Christianity. Although true Christian is more than a religion, it is a way of life. In fact, it was a way of life practiced since before the founding of this nation in 1776. Our Founding Fathers were not predominately Secular Humanists or Deists as the leftist revisionists continually and misleadingly claim. The Left chants that mantra over and over again, until, I guess, they hope everyone swallows the lie.

CAN PUBLIC EDUCATION BE IMPROVED?

The Dispatch article quotes Ohio Superintendent Deborah Delisle as saying that improving teacher quality is a “vital factor” in the education reforms of the governor’s budget plan. The article cites the need for teachers to be assessed or evaluated by the all-knowing standard or tool established by the state Politburo, the department of education. This, they think will make for better teachers.

On the surface the plan sounds swell. However, I believe that the local school board and the local parents provide the best oversight of the education of the teachers and children in their bailiwick. The more government and political, agenda-driven issue oriented non-teaching mega teacher unions are involved in education the less our children are educated.

Why are our schools failing? It is not lack of funding. It is not the majority of teachers, it is not the majority of teachers, it is not the lack of facilities. It is the secular humanistic creed that is so inculcated in the so-called education experts, leaders and trainers of the teachers. It is the inferior teaching material. The learning materials strive to revise American history taking morality, God and character out of the school curriculum. The secular humanistic creed is entrenched like a malignant cancer throughout our education system.

It is the pervasive and corrupting affect of the teachers unions, which are more interested in teaching (indoctrinating) little Johnny and Janie about alternative lifestyles, global warming, and the flawed and unscientific theory of evolution than giving them a sound foundation of reading, writing, arithmetic and character. Those are the things that mean real success at work and in society.

The federal government has no business meddling in the business of educating of our children. A step in the right direction would be the abashment of the Department of Education. It seems like the DOE is an unnecessary layer of bureaucracy that does nothing to improve the learning of little Johnny or Janie.

ACCOUNTABILITY

Who is responsible for the terrible state of our education today? It seems to me that whatever the job of the federal department of education is, it is not performing. What would happen if we eliminated the federal Department of Education? Would education of our children be better or worse? If it would be better, then why is it allowed to exist.

It certainly cannot be the amount of funding. We waste a bunch of money on “education.” Seems to me we are not getting our money’s worth.

Who is ultimately responsible for the mess we are in today? Is it the children? Is it the parent? Is it the teacher? Is it the school principal? Is it the school district? Is it the state department of education? Is it the federal department of education? I think the answer is all of the above.

ABANDONMENT

Our education system may just be beyond reformation. It needs to be abolished or caring parents need to find effective alternatives: Homeschooling, On-Line education, Private Schools, or Christian schools.

Isn't it ironic that little or no mention of the results that Mr. Freshwater produced is ever mentioned in any of the coverage of this story? He motivated his children to learn. His class tested the highest of the middle school science classes. He cared personally about the children. He was admired, respected, even envied by many of his peers for his love and devotion to teaching. What Freshwater has been put through is a terrible indictment against the system and is a major reason why it just may be time to abandon this woefully corrupted, godless and immoral system. It may be time to seriously consider pulling all students out of what has "evolved" into merely secular humanistic and socialistic indoctrination and dumbing-down centers . . . The results of the election of 2008 is proof of the pudding. America elected one who grossly deficient of any executive experience, one who was a political hack from the politically corrupt state of Illinois, and one with a socialist-Marxist philosophical bent. Although I grant that the choice was between bad and worse.

THE FRESHWATER HEARING RESCHEDULED

I took a trip to Mount Vernon on Friday to take in the on-going Freshwater termination hearing which had been originally set for Friday, February 20. But I eventually found out that it had been canceled. The Mount Vernon News reported that the hearing will resume on Thursday, February 26. It also reported that additional dates have been scheduled for March 20 and 25-27.

Has America Gone Beyond Stupid?

WorldNetDaily.com posted an article by Drew Zahn, who documented an interview that Alan Keyes had recently with a Nebraska reporter at a pro-life fundraising event. Embedded in this article is a video of the interview of Keyes. Following the video are additional remarks by Sam on the wisdom of the stimulus.

Zahn wrote, “Alan Keyes, a 2008 presidential candidate who is also a plaintiff in one of the many lawsuits challenging Barack Obama's constitutional eligibility to occupy the Oval Office, charged at a pro-life rally that unless Obama's social and economic policies are stopped, the United States as we know it is over . . .

“Keyes' comments included harsh criticism of Obama's policies on immigration, abortion, and the mortgage crisis. He concluded the interview by railing against the president's push for hundreds of billions of dollars in government economic stimulus spending.

STIMULUS BILL

Congress just passed what is called a stimulus bill and the President has signed it. Can you imagine where this money is coming from? Bonds will have to be sold and interest paid on these bonds. If no one buys the bonds then the money will just be out there at which point the money becomes play money and everyone is in the game.

Solomon writes, “Wise people live in wealth and luxury, but stupid people spend their money as fast as they get it” (Proverbs 21:20 TEV). If a person who spends income as fast as it can be earned is stupid, then what is a person who spends money faster than they earn it. Wouldn’t they be beyond stupid?

How about a nation that spends money faster than it is earned? Could they be called stupid-stupid or stupid squared?

This nation has turned away from God. Instead of living life as God sees fit, following His laws and principles. As a nation America is living contrary to God's revealed will as found in the Holy Bible.

America thinks herself to be wise, but she has actually gone beyond stupid; she has become foolish!

Media Malpractice (2009)

Pro-Life Petition - To Stop Abortion Funding

This information came to me in an email from Focus on the Family Action.

Personhood USA

Hats off to fellow blogger, Matt, who recently wrote about the progress made in one state, North Dakota, with regard to passage of a bill that would recognize the personhood of every pre-born baby, presently regarded as a non-person. He gave me the idea for this post.

A ballot initiative on Personhood was first introduced in Colorado last fall. Unfortunately, the ballot issue was defeated. However, it triggered what hopefully will be a national wave of similar bills or ballot issues. Personhood is a positive alternative to failed Pro-Life instrumentalism, which has been the main strategy of the Pro-Life movement until now. It has failed miserably. In fact, with a pro-death oriented president and a abortion-loving Congress the horrible Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) is a distinct, almost inevitable, possibility. If passed FOCA would overturn every piece of legislation enacted sine 1973 meant to check unlimited abortion on demand.

The 'change' that the new President spoke about on the campaign trail, with all of its associated hope and promise poppycock, has turned out to be, just as many suspected, a return to the failed Democratic tactics of the past. Lia Hears a Who, Too

I saw the YouTube video below first on the Secular Heretic blog earlier this week, and again this evening in an email I received from K.C. I had to watch it. I share it with you, because whether you are pro-life or pro-abortion the message will surely touch your heart.

This is a powerful statement about abortion. This time it was a speech given by a 12 year old girl, Lia, from Toronto, Canada. She gave this speech to her seventh grade class. It is absolutely stunning. It is a pure and simple, yet a very penetrating expression. How maturely, flawlessly and enthusiastically this young lady articulates her heartfelt pro-life position.

Stimulus: Nothing for Something

Do you remember that old adage, "You can't get something for nothing?" Well the Pelosi-Reid-Soetoro (a/k/a Obama) pork 'n patronage package (stimulus bill) can be described as, "You can get nothing for something." That in a nutshell is the economic stimulus package. It does little or nothing to solve the economic downturn and it is extremely expensive. It actually is generational thievery or fiscal child abuse because that something is the massive and necessary debt being laid on generations to come.

Friend of this blog, T.D., sends another very apt quote (below) that easily could be written for what the Democrats and the three horribly misguided crazed RINO Senators did to America last week - passing the deceitfully named "The American Recovery & Reinvestment Act of 2009." It should more appropriately be called "The American Recession-Expanding and Deficit-Building Act of 2009."

"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

Alternatives to “Bailouts” and “Stimulus’s”

How about strongly considering implementing any and all of the list below of alternatives to recent government provided solutions?

The following list provides other things we can do in lieu of wasteful, budget-busting, government-growing, debt-increasing, bankruptcy-inducing government fixes such as bailouts and so-called economic stimulus's. The government fixes in reality are cloaked efforts to introduce socialism into the American government.

THE LIST OF ALTERNATIVES

Capping government growth.

Reduce individual and business taxes.

Cut back on government spending.

Reduce our federal deficit.

Abolish the IRS.

Secure our borders.

Develop our domestic energy resources and nuclear energy (drill here, drill now.)

Reject all of the man-made global warming foolishness of Al Gore and other extremist environmentalists as well as all of the accompanying related wasteful spending.

Strengthening our military, not cutting it.

Reduce our trade deficit.

Enforce our immigration laws not ignore them.

One would not be too far off if the approach or attitude toward the 111th United States Congress and especially toward any and budget-busting (mis)appropriations, bailouts and so-called economic stimulus bill was that of which Groucho Marx once sang.

Free Enterprise versus Slavish Socialism

Here is a comment made on an Internet forum yesterday to my remark that Republicans and America has veered away from fiscal conservative principles, which have resulted in our current economic situation. The current administration thinks that the government is the solution to our economic woes. However, it is less government, less government spending, less taxes, fewer regulations that are the real answers.

THE COMMENT

Unregulated enterprise results in monopoly dominated economies that create societies of a few very wealthy and a lot of very poor workers. Study history. MY RESPONSE

I absolutely disagree with you when you say that free enterprise does not work. It was free enterprise that built this nation. It is where entrepreneurs as allowed to operate with minimal government interference that new products and services are developed. It is where needs are met.

What is the alternative to free-enterprise, bird? Isn’t socialism, where the government controls all industry? Socialism stymies economic growth and development. Socialism has never worked. It enslaves. Capitalism has worked, it empowers. Capitalism creates jobs. Competition is good. The market works if not interfered with by government.

Extremist, idiotic environmental regulations prevent the development of natural resources and utilization of nuclear energy. This is foolish government interference. This is a part of our economic problem. We are forced to enrich oil rich dictatorships. We are at the mercy of the Middle East terrorist sponsors who use proceeds from oil sales to us to foment terrorism worldwide.

What President Soetoro (a/k/a Obama) seems to be moving this nation in the direction of a socialist, even Marxist state with government having control of banks, and key industries. Big government is obtrusive. This is diabolical. Big government, as President Reagan said, is THE problem, not the solution.

Torture and Terrorism

Islamic terrorist acts do more damage monetarily and to more innocent people than any act of "torture" used by Americans since 9/11. Islamic terrorists, themselves, don't hesitate to use torture even to the extent that their victims lose their heads. That is real torture.

The whole issue of alleged torture of Islamic terrorists has been blown way out of proportion by the left for political purposes and is just a liberal feel-good diversion from having to face and to deal with the reality of the war on terror.
