Passage of Flatulent Stimulus Brings Reaction
“Let it be said loud and clear: (President Barry Soetoro a/k/a) Barack Obama's so-called stimulus bill, feverishly embraced by his sticky-fingered Democratic minions in the House and Senate (and three craven Republican senators), will not do a single thing to revive our ailing economy. Nothing. . . .” -- - - Michael Reagan, in his article "Requiem for a Republic," February 14, 2009
"The bill that was about jobs, jobs, jobs has turned into a bill that's about spending, spending, spending.” . - - - House Republican leader John Boehner of Ohio as he dumped a copy of the 1,071-page bill to the floor in a gesture of contempt.
Congressman Paul Says It All . . . .
Additional Comments:
Republicans have veered away from fiscal conservatism. The present President Soetoro (a/k/a Obama) administration is the result of the GOP's refusal to stick to their principles. President Bush and the GOP became like the Democrats, free spenders. That is the primary reason that we are in the shape we are in . . .
The Republicans must wake up as they did in the 90's and be conservatives. Dr. Ron Paul and other real fiscal conservatives want to curb government spending, reduce taxes, reduce the deficit and allow free enterprise to work.
Unfortunately when the GOP was in power began to act like the Liberals currently in power. That is the bottom line problem - abandonment of fiscal conservative principles . . .

Senator Judd Gregg, A Stimulus Causality
Senator Gregg, in a statement released yesterday (Thursday) and reported on MSNBC, said, “. . . it has become apparent during this process that this will not work for me as I have found that on issues such as the stimulus package and the Census there are irresolvable conflicts for me. Prior to accepting this post, we had discussed these and other potential differences, but unfortunately we did not adequately focus on these concerns. We are functioning from a different set of views on many critical items of policy."
"Obviously the president requires a team that is fully supportive of all his initiatives . . . at this time I must withdraw my name from consideration for this position . . .”
Scorecard: Withdrawn Cabinet Nominees for Secretary of Commerce and a Recommendation
Strike One: Governor Bill Richardson, a Democrat, withdrew 1/5/09 because of a federal investigation.
Strike Two: Senator Judd Gregg, a Republican, withdrew 2/12/09 citing “irresolvable differences.”

He’d fit right in nicely in President Soetoro's (a/k/a Obama's) corrupt cabinet along with Hillary “Whitewater” Rodham-Clinton and Timothy “Tax-Evader “ Geitner wouldn’t you agree?
Economic Stimulus Bill = Fiscal Child Abuse
Adding to this despicable platform the pork-ridden, patronage-promoting and pandering economic stimulus bill which amounts to fiscal abuse of today's children. They have to pay for the Democrats' plan to socialize America. In actuality, they are bankrupting America and stiffing our children with the bill.
What they are doing physically and fiscally to America's present and future children is immoral and must be stopped.

The Only Other Remedy
But this is not to say that a Christian should always marry when in this condition (not being able to control oneself with respect to a particular person). There are several cases in which marriage would be in violation of God’s Word. Christians should never marry non-Christians (I Corinthians 7:39, II Corinthians 6:14). And they should not even entertain the idea that they might later persuade the non-Christian to become a Christian. You don’t know that this is going to happen and it would just encourage the non-Christian to get baptized for the wrong reasons, leading to a false conversion. If someone is a fornicator, covetous, an idolater, filthy-mouthed, a drunkard, or an extortioner and yet claims to be a believer, then you shouldn’t even eat with such a person! (I Corinthians 5:11). The Bible also says that remarriage after divorce is adultery (Mark 10:11, 12, Luke 16:18) except in certain cases (Matthew 5:32, Matthew 19:9, and possibly I Corinthians 7:15). It also seems logical that one should not marry someone who takes an opposing position on an issue that one feels strongly about, such as abortion. There are also times when God may be leading two people to two different geographic locations at some future time, so things just can’t work out, but in the mean time there is temptation. Other times the romantic feelings one has just aren’t felt by the other person. Sometimes the young are too young to marry or their parents don’t approve.
So what is one to do when one finds oneself in one of these situations—not able to control oneself and not able to stop having impure thoughts about the other person when Paul’s recommendation of marriage can’t be followed because it is forbidden by other scriptures or scriptural principles? Jesus said:
You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery.' But I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lustful intent has already committed adultery with her in his heart. If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body be thrown into hell. And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. For it is better that you lose one of your members than that your whole body go into hell.
Matthew 5:27-30 (ESV)
Don’t fool yourself. If marriage is not an option in this situation then the only other remedy is to stay away from the person whose presence causes you to sin. You may have to start going to a different church, quit your job, or even move away. Everyone else may think that this is a foolish overreaction, but such is often the case when a Christian does the right (1 Corinthians 2:14, 3:19).
This is a hard to decision to make and it should be done with great care. It is a sad thing when a great friendship has to come to an end because of something like this, but what must be done must be done. It is often no one’s fault. In this case, telling the other person that this is the way it has to be should be done so that there is no impression that you are laying blame for the situation. Whatever the case may be, you should be careful to make clear that the reason is the avoidance of sin and not to hurt the other person.
These situations are made worse when you put off talking about the important issues mentioned above (2nd paragraph). They are also made worse when tempting situations aren’t avoided and by engaging in things that lead to fornication or cause impure thoughts. I recommend the book I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris.
This is an unpleasant topic, but I hope that someone will benefit by reading it.

Socialist, Selfish Senators & the Stimulus
“A compromise has been reached in the economic stimulus package.
“It came when senators who wanted to keep Americans dependent on the government were able to make a deal with those who just wanted to screw America for their own financial gain.”

Mr. President: Who or What ‘Catastrophe'?
Cartoon by Michael Ramirez as found on Townhall.com 1/29/09 The wasteful, pork and political payoff bill is plain ludicrous. Only a smaller portion (maybe 1/3?) of the bill will attempt to do what you argue the entire bill will do - create jobs or build America’s infrastructure. A much greater portion 2/3 or more) rewards and subsidizes your Democratic political allies and those groups targeted to help maintain Democratic power and foster government dependency beyond 2010 and 2012. Frankly, that is what it really is.
You lie and deceive America when you say there is no “pork” in this bill. Do you think all Americans are fools? We don’t all worship you, sir. In fact, a large portion actually opposes most, if not all, of your political ideology.
Despite what you think your election meant, it did not mean that all or even the majority of America are behind you. You did not receive a mandate to implement socialism carte blanche. No, you merely won an election on your empty promises of “change,” “hope,” and “yes we can.” Remember half the people voted against you. Another portion stayed home and didn’t vote at all. Many of us will not stand aside and let you replace our way of life with Marxism, which apparently you intend to do. I vehemently disagree with you that doing nothing is not an option. It is. It will save us and our children more than a trillion dollars!
We do not need to rush to judgment. We need to take deliberate, well thought out incremental measures focused primarily on tax cuts, reduced spending, reduced regulations. That is the jump start that our economy needs. We don’t need more funding to combat sexual transmitted diseases, funding the arts, welfare for illegal aliens, etc.

Stimulus: A Mistake of Historic Proportions
"Look Folks We Want to Shrink the Dollar" - Pelosi-Reid-SoetoroWRONG SOLUTIONS
President “Not so secret socialist” Barry Soetoro (a/k/a Barack Obama), House Speaker “Children are a burden on society and will worsen our economy – use more taxpayer funded birth control” Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader “Surrender” Reid are united. They are all insanely and frantically calling for passage of the free-enterprise thwarting, flawed and fraudulent job creating stimulus bill. The bill is really a deficit swelling, big government building, budget-busting, economy destroying measure that is doomed to fail. Above all, it is a pork, earmark and political payoff infested piece of legislation.
Don Kaul of Minuteman Media wrote an article, “Yes, 2008 was historic,” which was published in the op ed section of the local newspaper dated January 11, 2009. I happened to pick up the nearly month old newspaper yesterday. It was as pertinent as if it were written today.
What caught my attention was this brief excerpt following after talking about the state of the economy and various players who helped to bring it about, “Having agreed with the consigning of perhaps a trillion dollars or more to do nothing more than apply a tourniquet to our hemorrhaging economy, (the then) President-elect (Soetoro) Obama has announced he’ll pour hundreds of billions more into the task of jump-starting it.
“Will any of it work? No one really knows. It doesn’t seem right though, does it? Excessive borrowing got us into this mess in the first place; now we expect excessive borrowing will get us out.
“They’re making money in the old-fashioned way these days; they print it. (Many of the geniuses counseling Obama, by the way, are the same geniuses who didn’t see the train coming until it hit them.)
“All this borrowing means we’re saddling our children and grandchildren and their children and grandchildren with a mountainous debt that they will have to repay someday; the theory being that it’s better to do that than leave them with a bombed-out, burned up economy where no one can earn a living.”
First, I agree with the basic thought that the Pelosi-Reid-Soetoro (a/k/a Obama) stimulus package or bill is unwise, excessive borrowing. I agree that unwise borrowing and government mandated easing of credit qualified lending got us into the fix we are in today.
Second, I don’t agree with the theory that Kaul cited, which I don’t believe he did either, that “it’s better to (excessively borrow) than leave them (grandchildren, etc.) with a bombed out, burned up economy . . .” If we do nothing immediately it would be better than spending a trillion dollars, which we do not have. I don’t think doing nothing will necessarily yield a “burned up economy where no one can earn a living.”
Soetoro (Obama) and the other Democratic leaders are trying to use fear as to get Americans to buy the false notion that more spending, more debt will solve the economic downturn. It is the same tactic (fear) used by some of the same people together with global warming alarmists claim that there is a crisis and that if we don’t stop driving SUVs immediately we will all burn up in global hell on earth. They erroneously claim man has caused global warming.
Both ideas are wrong. Both ideas are deceitful. Both ideas are a ploy to introduce a one-world government as the ultimate solution. First, the government “solves” America’s problems. Second, it merges with the international community to “solve” the world’s problems. This is pure fantasy.
Big government is not the solution, government is the big problem, to quote Ronald Reagan. Furthermore the stimulus, if passed, will lead to loss of our sovereignty and weaken us to be forced to succumb to some worldwide global authority. In other words, it will lead to the demise of America.
THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM
Phil Gerwig of Mansfield, Ohio in a letter to the editor, which appeared in Saturday's Mansfield News-Journal, wrote masterfully, "President Obama recently implied that our current economic problems are partially the inability or unwillingness of everyone to move the country beyond an industrial-based economy. In reality de-industrialization is a root cause of our decline. Printing worthless greenbacks for special interest groups and government growth isn't the solution to fixing our economy; addressing why it collapsed is." There does not seem to be anyone asking why the economy has turned downward.
No one seems interested in correcting the mortgage crisis, for example, caused by granting loans to people with little or no credit worthiness. Wasn't this foolish policy one of the main causes of our economic crisis? Isn't insanity when you keep doing the same thing over and over and expect a different outcome? Yes, many in our Congress and our Government should be declared mentally ill and some of cells that will become open soon at the Gitmo Resort should be reserved for the likes of Barney Franks, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Christopher Dodd, Ben Nelson, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Arlen Specter and anyone who votes for the so-called economic stimulus package.
Mr. Gerwig's comment captures the gist of the economic problem. So how do we deal with the loss of our manufacturing base? So how do we stimulate business? How do we turn around our economy if not through repetitive financial bailouts?
RIGHT SOLUTIONS
One major way to stimulate the economy and revitalize it is to drastically reduce taxes. It worked in the 1980s, it can work now. Reduce regulations so that we can free up small and large businesses to grow and expand their businesses. This will create real, long-lasting jobs and new wealth. As fellow blogger Sam wrote yesterday, "Profit is not a four-letter word" contrary to President Soetoro's apparent belief that it is.
Allow and trust that American ingenuity will find a way to make a profit in today's competitive world. Allow and encourage free enterprise to work. Let's work toward reducing government spending. Let's seek ways to encourage American's to save their money. Let's seek ways to curb government growth and spending.
One priority ought to be to reduce the deficit, not to increase it as seems to be the approach of choice in Congress today.

Pres. B. Hussein Obama: “Not the time for profit”

Last November, shortly after the election, I wrote an article about Barack Obama, “Obama, His Disciples, Associates, & Followers.” This is a complementary article continuing the same theme.
President Barack Hussein Obama said, “This is not the time for profit,” when he put a $500,000 cap on the chief executives pay for those companies receiving government bailout money. This leaves the question dangling, “When is profit appropriate?”
Chrysler and General Motors were given several billion dollars and they have until February 17, 2009 to present a plan to Congress on how they will return to profitability. If they don’t do this they must return the money they received. If they were profitable now they would neither need the bailout money, nor would they need to write a plan. Somehow this seems like double talk, on the one hand you are not supposed to be profitable, but if you are going to get to keep money from the government you must explain how your company will return to profitability.
People are loosing their jobs. The government calls this bad, over 500,000 people became jobless in January 2009 alone. If those companies were profitable the people would not be loosing their jobs. So, how can President Obama say, “This is not the time to earn profits?” President B. H. Obama is not stupid or ignorant is he? I do not think so, but he may think the American people are stupid or something worse.
B. Hussein Obama has associated with the people who hate profit and the free enterprise system all of his life. He is showing by his statement that he is himself against profit and against capitalism. Actually profit is a godly concept. We read in Isaiah 48:17 that it is the Redeemer of Israel that teaches people to profit. The Redeemer of Israel is the Lord Jesus Christ. What ever is of God, Satan hates, therefore, Satan hates profit. President Obama being against profit shows he is following Satan. Beware and know the truth that whoever then is supporting President Obama and his anti-free enterprise policies, programs and legislation is then also following Satan.

The Question of the President’s Citizenship Remains
Ted wrote, “Since Obama's earnest drive to convince the nation to weaken its economic strength through redistribution as well as weaken its national defense, have confirmed the very threats to our Republic's survival that the Constitution was designed to avert, it no longer is sustainable for the United States Supreme Court and Military Joint Chiefs to refrain from exercising WHAT IS THEIR ABSOLUTE CONSTITUTIONAL DUTY TO DEFEND THE NATION FROM UNLAWFUL USURPATION.
“The question of Obama's Kenyan birth and his father's Kenyan/British citizenship (admitted on his own website) have been conflated by his sustained unwillingness to supply his long form birth certificate now under seal, and compounded by his Internet posting of a discredited "after-the-fact" short form 'certificate'. In the absence of these issues being acknowledged and addressed, IT IS MANIFEST THAT OBAMA REMAINS INELIGIBLE TO BE PRESIDENT UNDER ARTICLE 2 OF THE UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.
“Being a 14th Amendment "citizen" is not sufficient. A "President" MUST BE an Article 2 "natural born citizen" AS DEFINED BY THE FRAMERS' INTENT.”
Well said, Ted, and thanks for your precise and pertinent comments.
We don’t need a stimulus
"The President says we need a stimulus. The governors say we need a stimulus. What's the truth?
"Here's a thought. How can government spend money it doesn't have and fix anything? Please take two minutes (and watch the YouTube video below) to get behind the scenes on the stimulus debate and learn why we don't need the stimulus."
Those were the words I received in an email this morning from the American Policy Roundtable commenting on the pork 'n political payoff padded so-called stimulus, which is really a socialism stimulant.
David Zanotti of the American Policy Roundtable presents in the video embedded below a fresh perspective on the so-called economic stimulus being shoved through Congress and onto the American taxpayer, you and me.
Truth: The stimulus is government spending money it does not have.
Truth: The federal government is broke.
Truth: Most state governments are broke.
Truth: America is bankrupt.
Truth: The stimulus is primarily a way of consolidating and perpetuating Democratic Party power with an eye on the elections in 2010 and 2012.
we
don’t need
a stimulus.
we
need
the truth.

Steve Forbes on the Stimulus Package
I just heard Steve Forbes on the Sean Hannity Radio Show this afternoon. When asked what passage of the Pelosi-Reid-Soetoro (a/k/a Obama) so-called economic stimulus package would mean to America. The Stimulus Package: Advancing a Leftist Agenda
Here is what Congressman Tancredo had to say about that debt-enhancing, budget-busting bill. It is, “Two-thirds social service spending, an increase in government power and authority in our lives, and about one-third (of what) could be identified as (economic) “stimulus.””
Tancredo referred to President Barry Soetoro’s (a/k/a Barack Obama’s) advisor and chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel as “brilliant” and very “smart” and “absolutely committed the Democratic leftwing agenda.” He quoted Emanuel as having said the following words or similar in affect, “You should never let a crisis go to waste.”
Tancredo went on to explain what Emanuel meant by that expression, “Let’s take advantage of the situation here to advance our agenda, not just to figure some sort of economic stability, but to advance OUR AGENDA. To take government into the lives of every American to the extent never before anticipated. Just like FDR did in terms of taking advantage of the Depression. Just like LBJ did in taking advantage of his predecessor’s assassination in passing . . . the Great Society (legislation)."
Tancredo added, “This is a way . . . a strategy . . . to do things that they always wanted to do
· To push nationalized healthcare
· To nationalize the banks
· To nationalize most of our industries
· To become the socialist nation that a lot of those folks believe we have to be.”
Tancredo concluded, “This is what the stimulus package is mostly all about.”
I could not agree with Congressman Tancredo more. The bill is really a bailout of failed Democratic socialistic welfare schemes and policies of the past. Such a “change” is really “same old, same old.”

510 Promises, part 2
Last week I talked about a website put out by the St. Petersburg Times, which has recorded 510 (actually 511) Obama campaign promises and will track the progress of these promises throughout his term in office.Last week I covered the first half of the list and found that there were only about 16% of these are promises that I wish he would keep. The percentage is even lower for the second half. There is so much wasteful spending in these promises. Its getting to the point where whether or not you believe a politician's lies doesn’t make any difference anymore because you don’t even want them to do what they say even if you did believe them!
We most definitely would be better off with a President who does nothing at all. We would be far better off with a President who would veto every bill, would rescind all executive orders and wouldn’t issue any new ones. It’s not just the wasteful spending. Here are some of the things that I found that were even worse:
Require all schools of education to be accredited
Push for enactment of Matthew Shepard Act, which expands hate crime law to include sexual orientation and other factors
Expand the Employment Non-Discrimination Act to include sexual orientation and gender identity
Support repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA)
Sign the Freedom of Choice Act
Here are the nine items in the last half of the list that I actually agree with. This makes about 50 altogether that I wish he would keep, making my agreement with Obama’s publically stated goals less than 10%.
Reduce subsidies to private student lenders and protect student borrowers (maybe just the part depending on how he intends to "protect" them)
Secure the borders
Crack down on employers who hire undocumented immigrants
Limit subsidies for agribusiness (These and all other subsidies should be eliminated altogether.)
Limit term of director of national intelligence (There should be no such office. Thanks, Bush for creating another position to be filled by corrupt political cronies.)
Ban lobbyist gifts to executive employees
Pressure Sudan to end violence in Darfu (…if this is to be done in a peaceful manner. If it’s another war he has in mind, then I’m against it.)
Reduce earmarks to 1994 levels (Why not eliminate them altogether, dufus?)
Cut federal contracts
