Hate Crimes Bill is Unconstitutional and Unnecessary!
The Christian Anti-Defamation Commission (CADC) sent me the following alert indicating that the US Senate hate crime bill, S.909, "The pedophile protection bill," could be voted on as early as (Tuesday, May 5, 2009) by the Senate Judiciary Committee!
“There is an increased threat of federal Hate Crimes legislation to our Constitutional liberty as given in the First and Fourteenth Amendments as a result of Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee striking again. Not only did Jackson-Lee introduce new hate crime legislation, The David Ray Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009, H.R. 256, which is direct opposition to our Constitution, but she also submitted a new companion bill, The David Ray Ritcheson Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009, H.R. 262. These two bills directly threaten your freedom of speech and religion. The Prevention Act will also create $10 million dollars in Federal funding to be given to non-profit groups to run the prevention program. This means you will not be able to teach your children Christian values that are opposing the special minority groups like homosexuals, but the schools and other Anti-Christian groups will be able to promote homosexual activity to them and will be well funded to do so. You won't be able to say a word if you don't want to be imprisoned. (The alleged) President (Barry Soetoro alias) Barack Obama has supported hate crimes in the past and is expected to sign the bill if it gets to his desk. We need to act now!”
