What Democrats Want, Day 16 Countdown to Oblivion, DEMOCRACY

As of today, there are 16 days until the most consequential election in American history. This is what they say about many past elections, but this is really it. For if the Democrats seize power – control of the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate and the Presidency – and doing it by hook or by crook (the justifies the means, you know) America as we know it will be forever changed. America envisioned and created by the Founding Fathers will disappear into the shadows of history.

The ungodly secular-humanists/Marxists slow march through America’s institutions over the last 100 years or so will have reached a crescendo – fulfilling Mr. Obama’s fundamental transformation of control of the masses.

Envision with me what a Socialist Democratic Party, takeover, a bloodless coup, a regime change, would look like. This is one in a series of daily articles leading up to the 2020 General Election.

WAS America established as a pure Democracy? You hear this country being referred to by Democrats, Republicans and others as being a democracy.  To a certain extent that is true. Yet, we are not established as a true democracy. What is the difference between a Democracy and a Republic?

America: Democracy or Representative Constitutional Republic?

A democracy is “Government by the people; a form of government, in which the supreme power is lodged in the hands of the people collectively, or in which the people exercise the powers of legislation” (WebstersDictionary1828.com/).   Another definition is, “government by the people especially: rule of the majority.(www.merriam-webster.com/). The Democratic Party emphasizes majority rule as demonstrated with its intense disgust with the Electoral College, where their candidate Hillary Clinton won the “popular vote” but lost the election because of the Electoral College. Smaller states are given representation even though the size of their population is smaller than the largest states (WebstersDictionary1828.com/).

A republic is “A commonwealth; a state in which the exercise of the sovereign power is lodged in representatives elected by the people. In modern usage, it differs from a democracy or democratic state, in which the people exercise the powers of sovereignty in person. The key word is “representative. In a pure democracy each citizen is given equal voice in determining laws or actions, while in a republic it is the representatives of the people who determine laws and actions taken.

The best way to describe the United States is that it is a Representative Constitutional Republic/Democracy. The Founding Fathers preferred this Representative Constitutional Republic form of government over a pure Democracy because they saw the instability that a pure democracy tends to be.

It is very important that in our form of government we elect the very best people to represent us. Unfortunately, not everyone votes and many who do vote do not do the necessary research necessary to select the best candidate. This is especially true in primary elections where screening occurs. Too many politicians get away with reneging on the promises made during their campaign and the electorate do not hold their feet to the fire.

Our Representatives Work for Us not Vice Versa

Without term limits representatives like Joe Biden become part of the Washington Cabal, the elite, the ruling class. They seemingly expect us to serve and to obey them without question. Speaker Pelosi once said of Obamacare, “we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.” More recently both Joe Biden and Kamala Harris refused to reveal if they were for packing the Supreme Court confirmed by the Senate. Biden said he will let us know after the election. The representatives work for the people.

The Role of the Supreme Court in Our Republic

The Supreme Court should leave legislating to Congress. The last fifty-plus years the Supreme Court has become a super-legislative body, making and changing laws that are strictly the prevue of Congress. Our representatives have let this happen, they have abrogated their role, maybe to protect themselves politically, by avoiding decision that might hurt them politically. Politics wins over principles. We the People have let them get away with it. Therefore, more and more we have legislation by the bench. That is how abortion, sodomy, same sex “marriage” etc. became “legal,” became “law.”

Conclusion

The Republicans are more respectful of our Representative Constitutional Republic form of government than are the Democrats. The recent trend in the Democratic Party is toward majority rule, if the rule agrees with Democratic positions and ideology. This can be seen in the balance of power on the Supreme Court. If the Court is judicially active, comfortable with making laws instead of strictly interpreting laws they are fine. But if that situation is threatened, then they need to do all they can to maintain a majority power base on the Court.

So, if the voter wants a politicized judicial activist Supreme Court instead of a court that calls balls and strikes and leaves legislating to Congress, then vote Democrat. If you want to have a Supreme Court that does not circumvents your representatives and focuses its efforts on interpreting the law and leaving making law to your representative, then vote Republican: vote President Trump, Republican Senators and Republican House Representatives.
