Time to Defund Planned Parenthood

I read last night on the RealChoice blog that Sen. David Vitter has introduced an amendment to the Appropriations bill currently being debated in the Senate that would strip federal Title X "family planning" funding from Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is a billion dollar operation. They receive 1/3 of their funding from the taxpayer already.

I am grateful for the RealChoice post and have based this article on that post. RealChoice offers the following as some of the reasons why America should not continue to fund this primary perpetrator of the American Holocaust.

You can share one or more of the reasons when you write your United States Senators:

 They perpetrate hoaxes and thus cannot be trusted.

 They facilitate sexual abuse of underage girls.

 They've killed patients with their sloppy practices.

 They refuse to cooperate with government authorities investigating crimes.

 There is ample evidence that they defraud the taxpayers.

 They hire questionable doctors like this kiddie porn collector

Here is a copy of the email I sent this evening:

Dear Senator –

I am writing to urge you to join Senator David Vitter in his attempts to amend the Appropriations Bill so as to remove Title X funding from Planned Parenthood.

Among other crimes, Planned Parenthood facilitates sexual abuse of underage girls. See “Planned Parenthood Caught Covering Up Statutory Rape [http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,463404,00.html ]” There have been many accounts in several states where Planned Parenthood has covered up the abortions of minors by adults and not reported obvious rapes to the authorities. The organization is untrustworthy and does not deserve to be subsidized in any way by federal taxpayers.

These problems are nationwide in scope and include lying to patients, misleading the public, defrauding taxpayers, referring to dangerous abortion providers, and engaging in sloppy practices that have cost women their lives.

The most recent evidence of how bad Planned Parenthood is comes from the series of "sting" operations by Lila Rose, showing how Planned Parenthood is willing to be complicit in statutory rape.

It is time to stop this perverse and evil organization. Please stand up for women and families, and for the taxpayers who do not want their taxes going to harm women, children, and families.
