For Whom Do I Vote For President This Year?

A Michael Ramirez cartoon, Investors Business Daily, 2/13/08
.
.
THE COMPELLING BUT CRASS CHARISMA OF OBAMA

B-rated Barack Obama lacks the experience to be President. He is an empty vessel. He is stricken with a serious case of personal global warming, meaning he is full of hot air. B-rated is an excellent orator. However, there are many actors who can deliver their lines, but they live and work in a fantasy world. Welcome to B-rated's world, a global socialist utopia?
.
You really wonder, what exactly is the "change" which this eloquent empty suit so often espouses? Does the change involve yielding American sovereignty to the United Nations? Does it mean trying to outdo the Bush spending binge? What is the change you talking about Senator B-rated?

THE VAST BUT VAIN EXPERIENCE OF MCCAIN

"Amnesty" McCain also cares little or nothing about what is good for the American people, only what he, his liberal gumbas (Edward Kennedy, Russ Feingold, Joe Lieberman et al.) and his financial supporters (Soros, Heinz-Kerry, etc. see today's earlier
article) want to see happen.
.
McCain may have experience, but it is not useful if it is the wrong experience, i.e. pushing destructive liberal socialist legislation such as Amnesty (deceptively labeled 'Comprehensive Immigration Reform) and free speech limiting Campaign Financing Reform legislation.
.
AMERICA'S HOPE FOR 2008

At this point in the presidential campaign year our hope is that somehow McCain will fall short of obtaining sufficient delegates to wrap up the nomination before the GOP convention and someone else, a real conservative will emerge as the party's nominee.

I have almost come to the point of reconciling myself to the fact that either McCain or Obama, if elected, they will be used as God's instrument to judge and punish America for (1) the abortion atrocity which continues unabated since 1973 killing 50+ babies, (2) allowing homosexuality to spread unchecked and infecting all aspects of society especially in the entertainment media and in our government schools indoctrinating our children to accept this perversion, this depravity, this evil, as good; and (3) electing such candidates who espouse such evil ideas and policies.

Judgment may be necessary, especially since America does not appear to want to wake up on its own. Either McCain or Obama will lead us to destruction or to national repentance, if God continues to mercifully withhold His wrath.
Personally, I have resolved not to vote for 'the lesser of two evils' this year as I did in 2000 and 2004. I am expecting one of two things, a miracle or a strong rebuke from God on this nation, as an outcome of the 2008 General Election.

The McCain-Soros CONnection

Senator John McCain may not be the conservative patriot he claims to be. Here’s some proof. WorldNetDaily.com carried a story on Tuesday revealing that McCain has taken money from leftist political financiers Teresa Heinz-Kerry and the notorious George Soros. Known primarily to fund such outrageously liberal and socialist enterprises such as MoveOn.org George Soros is literally hell-bent on destroying the moral fabric of America.

Dr. Jerry Corsi in the WorldNetDaily.com article writes, “In 2001, McCain founded the Alexandria, Va.-based Reform Institute as a vehicle to receive funding from George Soros' Open Society Institute and Teresa Heinz Kerry's Tides Foundation and several other prominent non-profit organizations."

Corsi claims that McCain used the institute to promote his political agenda and provide compensation to key campaign operatives between elections.

McCain’s Reform Institute has also provided many of his campaign team lucrative jobs. Besides that, according to Corsi the institute “regularly has supported McCain in various legislative efforts, including on campaign finance reform, global warming and "comprehensive immigration reform," all efforts widely opposed by many in the party's conservative base.”

McCain is not only a maverick in his party, he is also a loose cannon. McCain would be just as bad for America as Obama or Rodham-Clinton would be.

His close and financially beneficial relationship with virulent leftists confirms ones’ suspicion as to the true core beliefs of this self-proclaimed “conservative” at election time. Will he be another Bush, who one the election and then turns his back on many conservative principles and even embraces liberal and global ideas such as amnesty for illegal aliens and the sovereignty destroying North American Union scheme.

The following excerpt is from a website called Securing Our Sovereignty in an article titled, “John McCain: George Soros' Useful Idiot?”:
.
“The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States.”

--- George Soros

.

"Many believe George Soros is out to destroy America’s Constitution and sovereignty. From the anti-2nd amendment gun control group, Americans for Gun Safety to the anti-free speech McCain-Feingold Finance Reform Act, John McCain has been carrying out marching orders from Soros, enriching his Reform Institute and his campaign coffers while riding Soros’ coattails to national prominence as the mainstream media darling, ‘Maverick’ Senator McCain.

"The ambitious Soros has a goal of rewriting the United States Constitution by the year 2020. He has funded efforts for a world-wide gun ban instituted through the United Nations as well as borderless nations, legalizing illicit drugs and his ultimate goal of a world government controlled by the U.N. Does John McCain share his lofty goals?

"The McCain-Feingold legislation was an idea devised by the brilliant Mr. Soros. The Act stopped ‘soft’ money contributions to the Democrat and Republican parties, as well as putting limits on free speech by not permitting a candidate’s name to be used in ads 60 days prior to general elections and 30 days prior to primary elections. This Act bankrupted the Democratic Party because, unlike the Republican Party, the Democratic Party was primarily financed by ‘soft’ money donations from large groups such as Unions. The Republican Party, by contrast, receives most of its funds from individuals in the form of ‘hard’ money, small donations . . ."

More on Ron Paul’s Positions Marriage

Since today is Valentine's Day, I decided to continue my discussion on Ron Paul's position on marriage.

Suppose two men were to put on tuxedos and have a ceremony in which they pledged themselves to each other. Ron Paul would not throw these two men in jail for this. They could call themselves “married” or “united” or whatever they would want. However, RP would not be in favor of issuing them marriage licenses or recognition of the relationship as a marriage in a court of law. He would not be in favor of encouraging sodomy, but would not be in favor of banning it either. (My source for this information is a video which can be obtained on his website.)

Having said this, one must keep in mind that RP is a strong believer in states’ rights. The federal courts, in his opinion, should have nothing to say in the matter. He opposed the Lawrence v Texas decision which struck down a Texas law banning sodomy.

When asked about “don’t ask don’t tell”, RP articulated his position on this quite well. He said that, in this country, it is unfortunate that people have begun to think that their rights come from being apart of a certain group. The real reason that you have your rights is that you are a person, not because you are gay, black, or a woman. RP went on to say that when homosexual behavior in military becomes disruptive, we need to deal with it. He also said that when heterosexual behavior in the military becomes disruptive, we need to deal with this also. (I think, for this reason, women and homosexuals should not be allowed in the military at all, but I don’t know what RP thinks about this.)

The most interesting position RP takes is that the government should not define marriage. His reasoning is that, only God should define it. If some judge were to misinterpret the law and construe a homosexual relationship as being a marriage, that judge would be an activist judge. The dictionary definition should be used and we shouldn’t have to redefine it into law. If we give government the power to redefine it, then we are saying that we have the right to say marriage is whatever we want it to be. This sets a bad precedent, in RP’s opinion. I’m not sure I agree, but I would like to learn more about this argument. This isn’t the first person that I have heard this from. (Michael Peroutka was.)

The Libertarian Party platform says that the Defense of Marriage Act defines marriage and therefore it should be repealed. But RP would disagree with this since he supported DOMA. The LP platform goes on to imply that basically every law there is that contains the concept of marriage or distinguishes gender should be abolished. While I agree that marriage should be a basically private covenant with which the government should rarely interfere and that 99% laws concerning marriage are unnecessary and manipulative, the LP platform clearly throws out the baby with the bath. We need to keep the traditional Biblical principles of marriage in our laws and get rid of the rest.

Stimulating the Economy or Giving Away the Farm?

President Happily Signs Tax Rebate Bill
.
Does Tax Rebate Make Any Economic Sense?

The President borrows money from China to give me back a portion of the tax money I already paid and which the the President and Congress have already spent.
.
What will Americans purchase with this special tax rebate? More Chinese manufactured junk at the local multinational Wal-Mart outlet? Whose economy is Bush really aiding?

Our deficit and debt increases, our exports decrease, more jobs are lost . . . Something is wrong with the picture.

Dave (1993)

This is an older movie that just happened to catch my eye as I was browsing in my local video store. I rented the movie this past weekend. It was a very good. It is, as one reviewer, who highly recommended it, wrote, “A great combination of romance, feel good politics and a few laugh-out-loud moments.”

The corrupt President depicted in the movie, a precursor of President Bill Clinton perhaps. The President has his lackeys find a double to be seen in public, while he engages in some adulterous misbehavior. His look-a-like Dave Kovic is recruited. Dave is the manager of a temporary help agency. Unbeknownst to Dave the President while committing adultery (not unlike the real debauched Bill Clinton) has a stroke and becomes completely incapacitated. Dave, the imposter, is asked to pretend to be the president by the President’s own “Karl Rove” who manipulates Dave, or at least tries to do so.

Near the end of the movie Kevin Kline’s character, the Presidential imposter, makes a speech before the joint session of Congress where he seeks to confess and admit that (the real) president committed crimes. Here is part of that speech:

“…I’d like to apologize to the American people. You see, I forgot that I was hired to do a job for you, and it was just a temp job at that. I forgot that I had 250 million (now 300+ almost half of the increase is due to illegal aliens) people, who were expecting me to make their lives a little bit better and I didn’t live up to my part of the bargain.

“You see I think that there are certain things you should expect from your President. I ought to care more about you than I do about me. I ought to care more about what is right than about what is popular. I ought to be willing to give up the whole thing for something I believe in . . .”

This is a good and appropriate message for our current and future presidents to practice.

RATING

***** out of *****. There were just a couple of adult-oriented scenes. It is not a family movie for that reason. But it is a movie that would be enjoyed by a politically active or politically interested individual. I recommend this movie.

Mexico Decides to Drop Out of the '08 Summer Olympics

T.D., a friend of AGC . . ., sent me this extremely funny email “news” flash, which is not that far from reality.

President Felipe Calderón of Mexico has announced Mexico will not participate in the next Summer Olympics.

He stated, 'Casi cada uno que puede funcionar, saltar, o la nadada ha salido ya del país.'

Translation: 'Pretty much everyone who can run, jump, or swim has already left the country.

Presidential politics is like a box of corn flakes

T.D. sent me this pictorial depiction of the political scene in America today. "A bowl of soggy corn flakes soaking in 100% rhetoric enriched drivel" may be a better characterization.

America desperately needs a much more substantial meal. It needs a real breakfast of champions. It needs a champion. It needs a strong conservative who is not afraid of staying true to principle, virtue and traditional American values.

B-rated (for his inexperience) and Muslim-breed and Afro-centric church member Barack Obama, acidic John "Amnesty" McCain and hyphenated Hillary Rodham-Clinton definitely do not fill the bill. Of the current field of flakes maybe only moderately conservative Mike Huckabee or the obstinate obstetrician and libertarian Ron Paul even come close to being that needed leader.

ACTION NEEDED

Our best hope is to keep McCain from reaching his needed delegate count and that the GOP convention will be open for the possibility of nominating a strong conservative who will offer a real and distinct contrast to whoever the Democrats nominate.

In November, if we are faced with the choice of the closet liberal McCain or the openly liberal Democrat, then I will not in good conscience and based on conservative principles vote for either candidate. I do this knowing that we will have to endure a tortuous (yes, McCain would be administering torture to America by his election and Presidency) four years similar to 2007 where the radical liberal Congressional leadership had to be challenged many times in pushing forth their destructive anti-American agenda. Furthermore, a McCain nomination will effectively destroy the Republican Party.

As conservatives we must then focus all of our resources and energies on electing true, strong, principled conservatives to Congress. This will at least begin to offset some of the horrible things we can expect that the new President will try to foist on America.

COMMENTS

McCain has a lot of guts and nerve. He’s acted as a moderate-to-liberal in the Senate for decades and now that he wants to be president doesn’t understand why the Republican Party’s conservative base will not support him. Duh!

A Look at Hillary, McCain & Barack’s America

T.D. sent me another excellent email. It contains a powerful illustration. I have reprinted the content below. This may have been circulating in cyberspace for a while, but it is full of truth. Thanks, T.D.

It was interesting, I googled "America's Downfall" on google images and low and behold what shouild appear a picture of you-know-who. How ironic! The game is not bowling. Three strikes in baseball and you are out.

How to catch a wild pig and the downfall of America

"There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back andstretching as if his back hurt.

"The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.

"In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, ' Do you know how to catch wild pigs?'

"The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke.'You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come every day to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sidesof the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd.

"Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity.'

"The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, free medical, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.”One should always remember, There is no such thing as a free Lunch!

“Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.”Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably delete this email, but God help you when the gate slams shut!”

"A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have."

Bush calls McCain a 'true conservative', How would he know?

Two True Blue Conservatives? NOT!!

The USAToday.com online ran an AP story. Here are the first two paragraphs of the story. My commentary follows.
“WASHINGTON (AP) — John McCain is a "true conservative," President Bush says, although the presumptive Republican presidential nominee may have to work harder to convince other conservatives that he is one of their own.

“McCain "is very strong on national defense," Bush said in an interview taped for airing on Fox News Sunday. “He is tough fiscally. He believes the tax cuts ought to be permanent. He is pro-life. His principles are sound and solid as far as I'm concerned . . ."”
How would President Bush know what a ‘true conservative’ was? This ‘compassionate conservative’ deceiver did more to move the GOP away from true conservative principles than any ‘good’ liberal would have. How dare he refer to McCain as a conservative, let alone a “true conservative.” He and McCain are alike in that they both have and would destroy American sovereignty, worsen our education system, strengthen Chinese economy and military at the expense of American jobs, increase the deficit. . . These two men are not true conservatives. They are disingenuous conservatives at best, moderate-liberals at worst.

You are not automatically conservative by saying you are. Look at the record. Neither Bush’s record nor McCain’s records are indicative of true conservatism.

Quite an endorsement from a man (Bush), who as a “true conservative” compromised with radical liberal Senator Edward Kennedy on the terrible No Child Left Behind bill, and expanded the government, undermined our sovereignty through the secretive North American Union plot, and spent like a Democrat . . . .

People of the Potomac: Stop the McCain Express!

Help Derail the McCain "Just Talk Conservative" Express
.
Voters in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. have a chance to stop or at least slow down the McCain "Straight Talk" Express, which could be better described as "Just Talk Conservative" Express.
.
There are two other candidates in the running for the GOP nomination, Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul. It would be great if McCain was denied the nomination based on insufficient delegates going into the GOP National Convention.
.
Personally the social issues of life and traditional marriage protection are most important to me and many other conservative and true Chrstian and other Values Voters.
.
The following two questions were taken from the Values Voter Guide for 2008 Presidntial Candidates, which as recently compiled and released by FRC Action. See for yourself where the major candidates stand on these to moral issues:
.
Embryonic Stem Cell Research - Would you support, and continue President Bush's ban on the use of federal funds for research on Human embryonic stem cell lines created after August 2001?
Republicans:
Huckabee - Yes
McCain - No
Paul - No
Democrats:
Obama - No
Rodham-Clinton - No
.
Promoting Stronger Marriages - Do you support a U.S. constitutional amendment to define and protect marriage as the union of one man and one woman?
Republicans:
Huckabee - Yes
McCain - No
Paul - No
Democrats:
Obama - No
Rodham-Clinton - No
.
Governor Huckabee is not the perfect candidate by far. But he may be good enough to stop McCain from coasting to the Republican nomination. Huckabee is right on these two critical social issues, life and marriage. These are two very important reasons to vote for Huckabee and against McCain.
.
If the nomination is deadlocked going into the GOP Convention, then there is a good chance a real conservative will be nominated ahead of any of the current or recent candidates. This candidate would chanpion a real conservative position and provide a real contrast to either Obama or Rodham-Clinton. Right now McCain and the two Democrats are two sides of the same worn liberal coin.

If McCain is the GOP Presidential Nominee, What Do We Do?

I participate from time to time on various Internet forums. On one forum there was a back and forth on whether a true conservative should vote for the lesser of two evils and vote for a McCain, who is not a conservative.

Three Questions

"How do we keep McCain, Obama and Rodham-Clinton from winning the Presidency?

We can keep them out of office by withholding the nomination from McCain in the remaining primaries and caucuses . . . just like Huckabee did in Kansas and Louisiana.

Why not get behind the front-runner McCain since there is so little time and no strong alternative? Wouldn’t it be better to support any Republican who gets the nomination rather than a leftist socialist Democrat?

Because doing so compromises the GOP conservative platform. That platform has served the GOP well since Ronald Reagan was in office. It reflects strong conservative principles. Because we must not see a repeat of 2006 or the Bush bait-and-switch - he fooled me twice. McVain does not excite the conservative base. He is anti-conservative for the most part.

Is Senator John McCain more repulsive as President than either of the tow Democrats Obama or Rodham-Clinton would be?

Yes, yes he is because he disguises his liberal/socialist views to get elected. In many ways he would act just like a liberal Democrat once in office.

Let's hope that McPain falls short of obtaining needed delegates for the nomination going into the convention. Then there is hope that a real true conservative will emerge to bring the party back to its senses.

If McCain does get the nomination I, for one, will not vote for him. Neither will I vote for the Democrat candidate this year. I will put all my support into getting true conservatives elected to Congress to counteract the destructive work if any of those three get elected.

Shining God's Light on the Koran

This article is part of an on-going series contrasting the Judeo-Christian Bible with the Koran on a variety of topics. Previous articles include: "Was Abraham a Jew or a Christian?", Idolatry 101, 102, 103, Oneness, Unbelievers, God's Character, The Resurrection, The Proclamation, The Judgment, The Creation of Man, The Creation of Woman, and The Fall of Man: Part 1-The Command, Part 2 – The Disobedience, Part 3 – The Consequence, Part 4 – Its Ramification, and Right Dividing (Interpreting) the Word – Part I, Part II.

Rightly Dividing (Interpreting) the Word, Part III

In studying the Koran a reader of AGC … wrote to me that it is good to know the historical, linguistic and theological context to understand the Koran. I would not disagree with this statement. The same is true of the Holy Scripture. One more thing is important for the understanding of the Holy Scriptures. That is the Holy Spirit. He is the one who wrote it through men of old and His enlightenment is needed to understand it.

THE KORAN

Consider a passage of history from the Koran which shows god created the universe in six days.

“It was god who in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and then ascended the throne (1).”

The linguistics of Arabic is beyond my capability. I am confined to English and trust that the translator knew what he was doing when translating from Arabic to English. In the next passage a linguistic difference is found concerning creation versus one solid mass.

“Are the disbelievers unaware that the heavens and the earth were but one solid mass which We tore asunder, and that We made every living thing from water (2)?”

In the first passage it is god, himself, who created. In the second passage it is god with the help of others who tore apart a solid mass which they then used to form the heavens and the earth. Nothing is told of the creation of the solid mass. Did it take six days to make? Did it eternally exist with god? Was it created first? To make the two passages harmonize with each other one would have to say that god first made a solid mass which he and others then broke apart to become the earth, sun, planets, and stars in space. Somewhere in the six days, he made water from which he made living creatures to populate the earth with life. Someone else may come up with a better explanation but the parameters are: six days, one god with helpers, a rock, and all that is created.

Theologically, there is one god. Yet, there are others who are given a god like status; namely Gabriel, Michael, and possibly others. Consider the following passages.

“God has said: ‘You shall not serve two gods, for He is but one God. Fear none but Me’ (3).”
“We created you: will you not believe then in Our power (4)?”

“Say: ‘Whoever is an enemy of Gabriel’ (who has by God’s grace revealed to you (Muhammad) the Koran as a guide and joyful tidings for the faithful, confirming previous scriptures) ‘whoever is an enemy of God, His angles, or His apostles, or of Gabriel or Michael, will surely find that God is the enemy of the unbelievers’(5).”

The term we created means that god alone is not the creator. We tore apart the rock to make earth and heaven means that god did not create by himself.

THE HOLY BIBLE

“For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the seventh day, and hallowed it (6).”

The Holy Scripture has some of the same history in it as the Koran. Creation in six days, but God rested on the seventh day. The Holy Bible starts with the beginning. Before this there was no time or universe. Only God and the angels who were created before the beginning for they sang for joy at the creation and observed what God did (7). In the first chapter of Genesis and the beginning of chapter two God logs a chronicle of His daily activities for seven days (8). He started with nothing to create all that is observed today.

“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was with out form and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters (9).”

When God created heaven He created the space to put the universe in. Today the observable universe is 15 billion light years in radius. This is the space with nothing in it except the earth when God created it in verse one. When the earth was in its raw state in verse two the land mass was under water. Without form meant the water was moving changing the shape of the earth. Void meant that nothing was on the earth yet. The Spirit of God was moving on the face of the waters waiting for the next command of God.

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day (10).”

God defines the term of day to mean an evening and morning which is one rotation of the earth. The source of light must have been fixed to provide the oscillating of night and day. It was on day four that the sun was created (11).

Linguistically there are many helps on understanding the Hebrew. Strong’s Concordance of the Bible is one such help. It has every Hebrew and Greek word in the Bible listed and defined from the original language. The most important word in Genesis chapter one of course is God. God happens to be a plural word. Long before I knew anything about Hebrew I knew God was plural from the English. I knew this from the context in Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 3:22.

“And God said, Let Us make man in our image, after Our likeness: … (11).”

“And the Lord God said, Behold the man is become as one of Us, … (12).”

The Us, Our, and one of Us is not God referring to Himself and the angles but rather the three Persons of the Godhead, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. The Hebrew word translated God from the Hebrew is Elohim which is a plural word and takes a singular verb. God is still one even though He is plural. Do you find this confusing double talk? Consider this; a husband and wife is one flesh even though they are two individuals. God says so (13).

This plurality of the one God is basic theology and shown else where in scripture and is a basic truth in Christianity. The following passage shows the plurality and oneness.

“Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God (14).”

Notice who is speaking: The Lord the King of Israel. This is God the Father. Also speaking is his redeemer the Lord of hosts. This is God the Son before He took on flesh and was called Jesus.

Together they say “I am”, ”me”, and beside me there is no God.

To understand Holy Scripture requires enlightenment of the Holy Spirit. Louis Sperry Chafer, D.D., Litt.D., Th.D. President and Professor of Systematic Theology at Dallas Theological Seminary writes in the preface to his eight volume work on Systematic Theology:

“No substitute will ever be found for the knowledge of the Word of God. That Word alone deals with things eternal and infinite and it alone has power to convert the soul and to develop a God-honoring spiritual life. There is a limitless yet hidden spiritual content within the Bible which contributes much to its supernatural character. This spiritual content is never discerned by the natural, or unregenerate man (I Cor. 2:14), even though he has attained to the highest degree of learning or ecclesiastical authority. The natural capacities of the human mind do not function in the realm of spiritual things. The divine message is presented “not in the works which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth, comparing spiritual things with spiritual” (I Cor. 2:13), and the Spirit has been given to the regenerate that they might “know the things that are freely given to us of God.” When, on the ground of scholarship, unregenerate men have been permitted to dictate to the church what she shall believe, she has descended from her supernatural character to the level of a human institution, and it is safe to conclude that men are unregenerate who deny the only ground upon which a soul may be saved.”

Acquiring the knowledge of the spiritual content of the Bible is a life task. The great preachers who have moved the hearts of men with divine power have been saturated with Bible truths secured through a first-hand, daily study of its text. General facts of human learning may be acquired by the usual means, but spiritual truths are apprehended only as taught to the individual heart by the Spirit (15).”

Perhaps you would like God to teach you by His Spirit. It begins by receiving Jesus as your Savior. You do this by repenting of your sins and receiving Jesus into your heart. A sample payer you can pray is: Lord Jesus Christ forgive me of my sin and come into my heart.

The Democrats

Should it be ‘Dancing with the ‘Stars’’ or should it be ‘Anti-American Socialist Idol’? Not sure which would be the best show to feature this dynamic Democrat Duet, Hyphenated Hillary Rodham-Clinton and Muslim-breed and B-rated Barack Obama. What a Party!

Huckabee Wins Kansas Caucuses

I saw on AOL News that the Associated Press reported minutes ago that Governor Mike Huckabee "trounced" John 'Amnesty' McCain in Kansas' caucuses today, which was their first head-to-head contest AP said that Huckabee told fellow conservatives he was in the Republican presidential race to stay. I hope he means it.

"I didn't major in math," Huckabee told a cheering crowd at the Conservative Political Action Conference. "I majored in miracles, and I still believe in them," said the Baptist minister-turned-politician.

In the first primary or caucus since Super Tuesday, Governor Mike Huckabee wins a non-Southern state, Kansas. This may be significant.

Consdervative talk show host Rush Limbaugh on Friday pointed out that the main stream media has already begun to plant the seed of doubt in he minds of voters carrying a few negative stories about the real McCain record. Maybe their strategy may have begun a little too soon. Maybe Huckabee has at least a chance to tie up the coronation of the 'king' until the GOP convention, where anything can happen.

To Whom Is John McCain Reaching Out?

Assessing the Current Crop of Candidates

I came across an article by Dr. Alan Stang, who comments on the current presidential campaign and the current candidates. Two things that caught attention were:

First,
“. . . We are headed toward a choice between a traitor who could easily be a McChurian Candidate, a Womanoid (appears to be a woman, but isn’t) whom I would not be surprised to hear has been a member of the Communist Party, and a man named Hussein, who was raised as a Muslim, belongs to a church loyal to Africa and is still another Marxist. . .”

Second, he also says, “All kinds of things can happen from here to the Convention, especially if it is deadlocked. It is just possible that God will speak in the ear of the dumbest human species that ever walked the Earth – the “Religious Right” – and explain that Huck is a con man. Also, the Romney people hate Huckabee and McCain. Now that Mitt is dead meat because of them, where will they go? Dr. Ron (Paul) will get some of them. He already has a few delegates. He could get more. But for anything to happen, he must be there.”

These words appear to be very harsh, but the political environment is very bad right now and we need to be shaken, we need to wake up. We need to listen, to pay attention.

GOP Abandons Its Base & Its Conservative Prinicples

Conservative Principles Left Behind

With the likes of the departed Mitt ‘the flip’ Romney and the front-running John ‘amnesty’ McCain the GOP has lost its way, it has lost its very soul. Romney and McCain are more liberal as proven by their records and by their actions, if not in their false conservative double-speak and rhetoric.

The Family Research Center’s Tony Perkins quotes a recent Barna Group poll, “if the election were held today, most born-again voters would choose the Democratic nominee for president.” Born-again and evangelical voters are no longer displaying lemming like loyalty to the Republican Party. It started in 2006, when many values voters sat out the election and allowed the liberal cause and candidates to advance. The GOP obviously is stubbornly proceeding in the same doomed direction with liberals in disguise, McCain and Romney.

Perkins wrote, “On paper, it has become increasingly difficult to distinguish between the Republican and Democratic establishments. Both have deemphasized social issues and attempted to fill the void with big government approaches to poverty and global warming. Both are hoping to spend their way into Americans' hearts. But only one establishment can benefit from this agenda--and it isn't the GOP. The mission creep has already cost the Republicans their credibility and the congressional majority.”

This is a warning to the GOP: wake up and do everything you can to purge your party of the anti-conservative elements or expect to become less and less relevant to the values voter who helped to elect in 2004 what could be the last Republican president for a long time. It is time for the party to get back to its roots and to return to its roots, what made the party and America great:

· A respect for life from conception to natural death
· A respect for one-man, one-woman marriage
· Small government
· Deficit-avoiding spending
· Minimal taxation
· A strong military
· A strict interpretation of the law
· Enforcement of existing laws
· Protection of private property rights

Barna comments in the article, “Born Again Voters No Longer Favor Republican Candidates”, about the upcoming November election. "As in recent elections, a key to victory in November will be the faith vote. Unlike the past couple of presidential races, though, the born again and evangelical vote is up for grabs. In recent elections, the faith vote sided with the Republican candidate early in the race, allowing those candidates to focus on winning over swing votes. In this year’s contest, however, the faith vote cannot be taken for granted. Much can change between now and November, but Republican candidates have a tough road ahead of them this year."

The best that conservative and Christian voters can hope for is that Mike Huckabee and Ron Paul will get sufficient votes in the remaining primary elections to deny McCain sufficient delegates to insure his nomination going into the Republican National Convention. Then at the convention a new leader will emerge to lead the GOP to give the Values Voter, conservatives and Christians someone to get excited about, someone for whom to support and to vote. That person must not be John McCain for the Republican Party to remain viable.
