What Democrats Want, Day 64, Countdown to Oblivion? POSTERITY

As of today, there are 64 days until the most consequential election in American history. This is what they say about many past elections, but this is really it. For if the Democrats seize power – control of the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate and the Presidency – and doing it by hook or by crook (the justifies the means, you know) America as we know it will be forever changed. America envisioned and created by the Founding Fathers will disappear into the shadows of history.

Never again will the demonic Democratic Party relinquish its grip on political power and control of the masses.

Over the weekend there was a “Save Our Children” Anti Child Trafficking Rally in downtown Columbus, Ohio at the Statehouse. From what I could tell there were several hundred people there. I wrote about it in Child Trafficking versus Police Brutality” which I posted yesterday. I wrote it to express my puzzlement as to why that event was not covered by the local Columbus media. Today I want to expand on saving our children, our posterity. We will look at which of the two major political parties have policies that are the best at saving America’s children.

Child Abuse

It has been said that our children are our future. Child sex trafficking, pedophilia and abortion are all forms of child abuse. What kind of future are we giving our children if we allow these horrendous things to continue?

Of the two major American political parties it is easy to see which is more pro-child and which is not. Looking at the position of the Democratic Party, children are almost inconsequential, an afterthought, that’s if they are even allowed to be born in the first place (abortion). Democrat rhetoric does not match their actions (abortions should be safe, legal and rare).

Abortion remains the preeminent tenet of the communistic Democratic Party. Abortion is not healthcare; it destroys the life of a child (fetus, pre-born baby) and often damages the mother physically, psychologically and/or spiritually. However, it remains a key issue of the Democratic Party platform.

The Democrats support and approve of the fantasy that children or adults can change their sex/gender based on their feelings. Democrats support and even want to fund therapies and surgeries that sterilize and/or mutilate physical bodies and minds of even the youngest of children.

The Democrats support and do all they can to preserve a failing public education system. Teacher Unions are more concerned about pushing their (Marxist) political agenda than they are in insuring children get a quality, well-rounded education. Teacher Unions and the Democratic Party are in a same-agenda relationship.

Politicians, Party Donors and Child Sex Scandals

In the DailyWire.com article, "Multiple Democrats Currently Involved In Child Sex Scandals” the author mentions the names of several prominent and some of not so well known Democrat politicians and donors including:

Ø  Former Democratic Seattle Mayor Ed Murray

Ø  Former Democrat U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner

Ø  Democrat donor now deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein

The same article additionally mentions that the co-owners of backpage.com, a website allegedly directly linked to child prostitution and trafficking, gave lots of money to Democrats recently (2017). Backpage.com has since been shut down by the Feds. 

To be sure the child sex trafficking is not exclusively a Democrat issue. Both Democrats and Republicans, for example, have had dealings with pedophile Jeffrey Epstein as can be seen in this article, “Here’s the List of Democrats and Republicans connected to Jeffrey Epstein,”  which if from Epstein’s associate (in crime) Ghislaine Maxwell's list which became unsealed on August 10, 2020.

In the article I wrote yesterday a director working for an organization that advocates for victims of child sex trafficking alluded to another Democrat, John Podesta, who some have accused of being involved with child sex trafficking. The director claims that the Save Our Children rallies have been hijacked by the supporters and sympathizers of QAnon:  “…the (Save Our Children) rallies have served as fertile ground for jumping the far-right conspiracy theory, which is built around the false premise that President Donald Trump is pitched in a secret battle against a shadowy cabal Democratic pedophiles, from the internet into the real world.”  To date Podesta has not be charged with this crime.  However, the Save Our Children rallies, conspiracy or not, do spotlight the fact that pedophiles may be involved in trafficking.  Whatever attention can be focused on pedophiles, johns, or pornographers can only expose the inhumane, perverted evil that is occurring right under our noses.

Conclusion

After looking at the facts, one can only conclude that the Republican Party, though not innocent itself, is more tuned in to the problem, more willing and able to solve the child trafficking problem then the Democrats are.  Just look at the lawlessness being allow across the country in Democrat-led cities and states. They are defunding and dismantling police departments for crying out loud, not giving them the resources needed to get guns and children out of the hands of criminals. A vote for any Democratic Party candidate  --  especially in the elections for President, U.S. Reps and Senators and mayors or governors of the states and cities where rioting is allowed to occur with impunity  --  this fall is a vote for at the minimum to maintain the status quo and at worse taking several steps backwards on the issue ending child trafficking.

Child Trafficking Versus Police Brutality

Why has there little or no media coverage in Central Ohio of the Save Our Children Anti Child Trafficking event, held at the Ohio Statehouse Saturday afternoon in Columbus? I looked today and could find nothing accept some social media accounts.  I found one website, ColumbusAlive.com, which on the day before the event the following article, “Why a new push to ‘Save the Children’ isn’t as innocent as it sounds?” 

According to the director of a sex trafficking prevention organization interviewed for the above article, she claims that many of these Save Our Children rallies being held nationwide “have been planned and orchestrated by QAnon supporters or sympathizers. As a result, the rallies have served as fertile ground for jumping the far-right conspiracy theory, which is built around the false premise that President Donald Trump is pitched in a secret battle against a shadowy cabal Democratic pedophiles, from the internet into the real world.”  

So, QAnon supporters and sympathizers have hijacked the child trafficking movement  and are spotlighting the fact that pedophiles are involved in trafficking? Is that such an outlandish conspiracy? Is that a such a bad idea? Whatever attention can be focused on pedophiles, johns, or pornographers can only put the spotlight on the inhumane, perverted evil that is occurring right under our noses.  Above is the sign I had intended to bring to the event Saturday, but did not make it to the event Saturday. The reference to Ohio House of Representatives Resolution 180, which would declare pornography a public health hazard. That resolution has lingered in the subcommittee since 6-30-2019,

It is shameful that no news outlet, TV station, newspaper or radio or website reported on this event to my knowledge. Although I did not make it the event myself, I knew several people who had. There were speakers and protestors who brought attention to the problem.

The problem of child trafficking is more real and more pervasive than either racism or police brutality.  The newspapers and media seem to glamorize the rioters (or ignore them and the damage and destruction they cause) but totally ignore such a peaceful and noteworthy cause as protecting children? Our press is a joke. QAnon is far more in the right than is either Antifa or the Black Lives Matter organization, which are Marxist in their core beliefs and actions. Boy our country is upside down morally.

Isn’t it ironic that there are elements in American society that want to defund, destroy and dismantle police departments, the very people sworn to protect the public and prevent crime including child trafficking and pursue child traffickers? If the Left has its way there will be less of a force going after pornographers, pedophiles and pimps who use and misuse children. Could this be what they want?

Yesterday in Part 1 we talked about how the Democrat Party has helped China move toward superpower status We looked at China’s ambition to be control the world, and China’s role with COVID-19.  Today we will discuss more specifically how China is beginning to control its population at home and how it is furthering its cause abroad. Finally, we look at how some of the ramifications if China precedes unchecked, especially under a Democratic controlled Congress and Presidency.

China is a Control Freak

At Home

China surveils its own citizens. There are cameras everywhere. Facial recognition and social credit scores are a few ways China intends to control its citizens.

In a cnet.com article, “China turns to tech to monitor, shame and rate citizens,” it offers some detail on how it will monitor its citizens. “China's plan is to give each citizen a social credit score, which goes far beyond the traditional credit score based on finances. The score can fluctuate based on a range of behaviors, like whether you jaywalk or buy Chinese-made goods or buy too many video games. If your score gets too low, you can be banned from buying a plane ticket, renting a house, accessing high-speed internet or getting a loan.”

China commits genocide on its own people implementing a one child policy forcing abortion on families. Recently they relaxed their regulations and now allow two children per family. 

China discriminates against and persecutes Uighur Muslims and Christians in violation of basic human rights and dignity. The Uighurs, in particular are being targeted for genocide.

An Axios article related, “Top Trump administration officials have publicly condemned China's oppression of the Uighurs, and the  Treasury Department has sanctioned a number of officials and entities involved in operating the internment camps. The Trump campaign and Biden campaign have repeatedly clashed over who is "tougher" than China.”

Persecution of Christ-followers in China is intensifying as well. Crosses are being removed from churches, pictures of Mao and President Xi are replacing the 10 Commandments inside of churches and pastors’ sermons and church services are increasing being monitored for subversive. I do not see the Democrats condemning China for its persecution of Christians. The Chinese bible is even being written to reflect a communist friendly interpretation.

And Abroad

China infiltrates our universities buying its way using the funding of Confucius Institutes as a way of gaining entry to our colleges and universities. 

In a story about the media, The New American article, “They Worked at CNN for Years; Now They Make Propaganda for China,” notes that much can be said about CNN when their “journalists” have no problem fitting right in with Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) anti-American propaganda machine, the China Global Television Network (CGTN), where several now are employed.

Chinese dissident Chen Guangcheng was a featured speaker at last week’s RNC where he warned the world about human rights abuses in China and the danger of those who prefer “appeasing” the Chinese Communist Party. Tom Zawistowski on his weekly We the People Convention radio show and podcast mentioned that several news outlets including PBS, NBC, MSNBC, ABC switched off overage of the RNC when Chen spoke. The Communist Chinese seem to have many sympathizers here in America and you could include Antifa and the Black Lives Matter organization. All of them follow a Marxist philosophy.

The Communist Chinese are Shrewd in Business

The Communist Chinese government owns or controls most of its major businesses.

China demands that U.S. and other foreign companies doing business with China in joint ventures must share its proprietary technology with its Chinese Partners as a condition of doing business. China essentially steals and uses these secrets. “The compromises that companies make to do business in China,” a CNN Business article, identifies other areas where business must compromise their values and practices including being bound by Chinese censorship.

China has held a trade imbalance with America for some time. President Trump has tried to reverse that long-standing situation. China exports more goods than they import from America. President Trump has taken steps to level the playing field.

The Chinese use near slave labor to produce products that undercut American manufacturers. American companies like Nike shoes benefit from the cheap labor.

Some Ramifications

If the Democratic Party were to win the House, the Senate and the Presidency in this fall’s General Election, China would be back taking full advantage of American leadership lack of business acumen or judgment. Taiwan would become a province of China with little resistance from a weakened Biden-Harris U.S. military more focused on recruiting homosexuals and performing gender “reassignment” surgery on armed forces members and recruits than on helping an ally.  There would be more of a Chinese presence in America stealing more, buying more land and businesses and resources. Perhaps at some point China would even consider invading out land.

Voters, if you want to one day be learning Chinese and bowing to President Xi, then vote Democrat. Otherwise, #WalkAway and vote Republican up and down the ballot.

Communist China is our enemy, no question about it. Presidents (Clinton), have benefited personally from dealings with China, or have bowed to China or have ignored her thievery of intellectual and other property or have naively turned a blind eye to its subversive activities in this country.

Democrats Helped Make China ‘Great’

President Clinton gave away missile technology to China.  China uses its resources, much of it coming from a trade advantage for goods sold to the U.S., to build up its military at the expense of its people. President Obama did all he could to be a friend to China. Kristina Wong wrote in “China Expert Michael Pillsbury: Joe Biden Stopped Obama from Doing Navy Patrols in South China Sea,” “Michael Pillsbury, one of America’s leading experts on China, said Tuesday that it was then-Vice President Joe Biden who stopped U.S. Navy patrols from challenging China’s territorial claims in the South China Sea, in one example of how he would be weak on China if elected president.”

Another interesting and enlightening article, “Biden Sold Out America to China While Working for Hollywood,” discusses Biden’s role in getting more movies into China and the compromises that had to be made.

World Power, World Conquest

Like Islamic Iran or Turkey China has ambitions to dominate the world. It has already reneged on its treaty with Great Britain over Hong Kong and is bringing it under its complete control. It has eyes on Taiwan. It has a growing presence in Africa.

China is pouring money into building up its military and outer space capabilities.

Mad Scientists

The COVID-19 virus originated in China and China used the virus to spread misery and to protect itself. It is still not clear what the source of the virus was. One possibility is that a lab in Wuhan, China may have been working on some type of experiment and the virus was inadvertently or intentionally released. In either case the Chese did not come clean initially with the release. They kept it hidden for some time. Then apparently even allowed their people to travel to other countries spreading the virus outside of its borders. President Trump early on stopped travel from China into the U.S. The Democrats including Nancy Pelosi rebuked him as being a racist for doing this.

Spying and Undermining 

A Center for Security Policy article, “Harvard professor’s arrest shows Chinese spying via US universities,” outlines some very problematic activity on the part of the Communist Chinese in this country. An excerpt from the article reads, “The recent arrests of Harvard Professor Charles Lieber, a Chinese People’s Liberation Army officer, and a second Chinese national in Boston, show that Beijing – among others – uses American academic institutions to steal technology and more…. The FBI arrested Lieber, chairman of Harvard University’s Chemistry and Chemical Biology Department and prosecutors charged “two Chinese nationals” with being “in connection with aiding the People’s Republic of China…” How widespread is this?  And what’s up with this: “Dr. Fauci backed funding for controversial Wuhan lab studying origin of coronavirus”? Something smells bad. I suspect a great deal of money may somehow be involved.

Israel has had divided support among Americans. It seems that both parties on the surface say that they support Israel, but the Democratic talk does not always match its walk as does the Republican Party’s support at least under President Trump. When it comes right down to it Israel is our only trusted ally in the Middle East. Israel is our friend. 

Democratic Party and Israel 

In a Jewish News Syndicate article, “Democrats adopt platform at convention supporting two-state solution, opposing BDS,” the author summarizes several key points related to Israel found in the 2020 Democratic Party platform:

Ø    “The Democratic platform includes language that expresses support for the U.S.-Israel relationship, a pledge to maintain security funding for Israel and backing for a two-state solution “that ensures Israel’s future as a Jewish and democratic state with recognized borders and upholds the right of Palestinians to live in freedom and security in a viable state of their own.”

Ø    Regarding the status of Jerusalem, the platform states: “We believe that while Jerusalem is a matter for final-status negotiations, it should remain the capital of Israel, an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.”

Ø    It also expresses opposition to “any effort to unfairly single out and delegitimize Israel, including at the United Nations or through the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions [BDS] movement, while protecting the constitutional right of our citizens to free speech.”

A NJ.com article adds that the Democratic platform also opposes terrorism, settlement expansion and “any unilateral steps by either side — including annexation — that undermine prospects for two states.”

I am not so sure that the more radical elements of the Democrat Party, which makes up a large part of its activist and radical base, would agree with this portion of the Party’s platform. On college campuses, in many major corporations and non profit organization there is a strong BDS movement. There is also a pro-Palestinian movement. The Obama Administration funded terrorism by returning huge amounts of money on pallets to the regime in Iran, which is hellbent on destroying Israel. Joe Biden was part of that Administration.

When President Trump moved the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem in recognizing it as being the capital of Israel, the Democrats were divided on their support for the move.

More than anything I think that the Democratic Party platform was written to placate the Jewish vote more than really supporting Israel to the degree that the Republican Party supports her.

Republican Party and Israel

The NJ.com article cited above, summarized the Republican Party platform: “While both parties support Israel, the Republicans said nothing about the two-state solution that has been the bipartisan cornerstone of U.S. foreign policy for decades. It called for moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, which Trump did during his first term…The GOP platform called BDS “anti-Semitism” and said it “should be denounced by advocates of academic freedom.”’

Recently the Trump Administration helped to broker a deal between Israel and the United Arab Emirates. The Washington Post noted that President Trump’s “allies are casting the deal that the White House helped broker between Israel and the United Arab Emirates as a historic act of peacemaking. In a tweet Tuesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo declared the agreement “truly the most significant step forward for Middle East peace in two and a half decades.””

President Trump has done more than his predecessors and has done more than talk about helping Israel, he has acted on their behalf.

Conclusion

Were the Democrats to win control of the entire government this fall, the status of Israel-U.S. relations would be a big question mark. Israel would receive less support and her enemies in the Middle East including Palestine would receive more support. A vote for the Democratic Party and for a Democratic candidate is generally a vote against the state of Israel.

As we indicated yesterday in healthcare part 1 the major difference between the communistic Democratic Party and the capitalistic Republican Party is who ultimately should control a person’s healthcare. The Democrats insists it is government. The Republicans prefer the individual and the free market system. In other words, for the Dems it is their god, government, for the GOP it is the individual acting in a free market having various options from which to choose.

Today we will examine a few more major viewpoints of the two major political parties related to the healthcare issue. 

Is Abortion Healthcare?

We previously discussed abortion in post 93 and post 92 of this series, but here we will emphasize the claim by Democrats that it is a component of healthcare and the Republican opposition to that point of view. Democrats claim abortion to be healthcare, a “constitutional right,” a woman’s “reproductive right,” and something taxpayers should fund. The platform of the Democratic Party seems to mirror more Communist China’s position on abortion, short of forcing a woman to have an abortion. 

The Democratic Party platform supports “repealing the Hyde Amendment” to allow the government to fund abortion.  Their platform supports “codifying” the right to abortion. Democrats believe every woman should be able to access…reproductive healthcare services, including safe and legal abortions.” Democrats “oppose and fight to overturn federal and state laws that create barriers to reproductive health and rights.” Democrats also oppose FDA safety restrictions on chemical abortion pills. The Democrat platform supports repealing President Trump’s changes to the Title X program that separate abortion from federal family planning grants.

The Democrat platform also calls for overturning “federal and state laws and policies that impede a woman’s access to abortion.” The platform also says the Democrat Party “will continue to stand up to Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood.”  Planned Parenthood primary business is killing the unborn.

On the other hand, Republicans oppose public funding of abortion. They say they are “Proud to be the party that protects human life and offers real solutions for women” and “strongly oppose(s) infanticide.” Supports the following: the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Act; a human life constitutional amendment; a ban on abortion after 20 weeks, when unborn babies can feel pain; a ban on abortion based on sex or disability; a ban on dismemberment abortion” in which unborn babies are literally torn apart limb from limb; abortion clinic safety regulations; a ban on human cloning, and on creating and experimenting upon human embryos, including three parent embryos; a ban on the any sale of fetal body parts; and a ban on the “use of public funds to perform or promote abortion or fund organizations, like Planned Parenthood.” 

Just this one issue, abortion, would be enough to cause voters to run from the Democratic Party in every elective office in every election!

Conscience Rights in Healthcare

The Democratic Party supports the HHS contraception mandate against faith-based groups like the Little Sisters of the Poor. They also condemn the Trump Administration’s regulation clarifying the definition of “sex discrimination” in the Affordable Care Act. This regulation allows doctors, hospitals, and insurance companies to practice medicine and operation in accordance with their conscience.

The Republican Party platform supports the conscience rights of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and healthcare plans that do not want to participate in morally objectionable services like abortion. Their platform also supports “the right of parents to determine the proper medical treatment and therapy for their minor children.” 

One controversial area is the growing trend to offer so-called “gender reassignment” therapies (medications and even body mutilating surgeries) with or without parental consent. The Democrats support this child abuse, while Republicans oppose it.

The Left, including the Democrats use "Comprehensive Health Care" when they talk about some of the procedures that are not really healthcare but something they want to label damaging procedures.

Monthly Membership Fee Based

One innovative idea for reforming healthcare is described in this article, “Some Medical Practices Move to Monthly Membership Fees for Patients.” “Just about everyone agrees that the way we pay for primary care needs fixing. Under the current insurance model, doctors get paid for procedures and tests rather than for time spent with patients, which makes doctors and patients alike unhappy and increases costs. Now some medical practices are sidelining health insurers entirely, instead charging patients a moderate membership fee each month. The approach gets a nod in the health overhaul law. But not everyone agrees it’s the right way to go.” I have heard of practices going to this model.

The Citizens’ Council for Health Freedom defines two non-insurance approaches to funding one’s healthcare needs.

Ø  Direct Primary Care (DPC) is a free market option that allows a patient to contract directly with their doctor for access to a mutually agreed upon list of services. This is not a third-party insurance arrangement. DPC contracts eliminate the need for insurance, as this is a private contract between the patient and doctor. The patient pays the doctor directly.

Ø  Health Sharing Ministries are voluntary cooperatives between individuals without the underwriting or risk adjustment mechanisms of insurance. Members of health sharing ministries simply agree to share each other's medical costs.

Conclusion

The communistic Democratic Party’s go-to or default position on many issues  --   including healthcare, education, guns, fossil fuel use, etc. -- is centralized control. Government always knows best. Government is god. 

If the communistic Democratic Party gains control of both Houses of Congress as well as the Presidency in this fall’s General Election we will have absolute government control of everyone’s healthcare. We will certainly have rationed healthcare, which is social engineering by murder (death panels).

What Democrats Want, Day 69, Countdown to Oblivion? HEALTHCARE, PART 1

As of today, there are 69 days until the most consequential election in American history. This is what they say about many past elections, but this is really it. For if the Democrats seize power – control of the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate and the Presidency – and doing it by hook or by crook (the justifies the means, you know) America as we know it will be forever changed. America envisioned and created by the Founding Fathers will disappear into the shadows of history.

The ungodly secular-humanists/Marxists slow march through America’s institutions over the last 100 years or so will have reached a crescendo – fulfilling Mr. Obama’s fundamental transformation of America. Never again will the demonic Democratic Party relinquish its grip on political power and control of the masses.

Envision with me what a Socialist Democratic Party, takeover, a bloodless coup, a regime change, would look like. This is one in a series of daily articles leading up to the 2020 General Election scheduled for November 3, 2020.

Government Run Healthcare versus Free Market Healthcare

Here is another area where there is a wide chasm between the Democratic Party and the Republican Party approach to healthcare provision.

Some of the following initial comments below are based on the narrative that accompanied a petition that Americans for Prosperity (AFP) posted recently and which I signed. 

Government Controlled Healthcare

We must act now to stop the growing push for more government control of healthcare. This includes educating ourselves on the healthcare issue and researching the candidates and political party which best align with our personal beliefs, needs and interests. Then we must vote against any and all Democrats for any position in the upcoming General Election.

You can call it public option, Medicare-for-all, or something else, a government-run system means one-size-fits-all healthcare. This government run healthcare would put Washington, D.C. pencil-pushing bureaucrats and not the individual in charge or his or her physician and other medical professional.  Government run healthcare takes choice out of the equation.

Free-Market Controlled Healthcare

The Republican Party favors a non-centralized, free-market approach to healthcare. Like offering school choice for parents, the Republicans think that the free market does a better job of providing fair, efficient, quality healthcare services.

America needs to reimagine healthcare so that the individual citizen gets to choose and control what he or she wants, can afford, and the level quality level the individual deserves from the medical profession they trust. If the healthcare industry, including the insurance industry, were allowed more freedom to innovate and provide what the consumer wants, then we would have an improved healthcare system.

Allowing healthcare insurance to be sold across state lines would bring more competition into the marketplace, giving citizens more choices and allows them to customize their insurance plans.

The bottom line is let's put our trust in the physicians, nurses, researchers, and patients, not in Washington to solve our healthcare challenges.

Big Pharma

Whenever there are limited number of competitors in any business, those entities have money to spend in lobbying efforts to garner advantage for their company or industry.  A recent example is the attempt by government agencies to limit or ban the use of an inexpensive hydroxychloroquine medication for treatment of the Communist Chinese coronavirus. Why is this medication targeted and more expensive medications pushed as authorized or approved prescriptions? There may be some underlying forces within the medical, government and industry working against sound economical approaches to treating COVID-19.  Perhaps Congress needs to investigate this area.  Something is not right, and it hurts the overall healthcare available for American citizens.

I would not advocate government taking over the pharmaceutical industry, but perhaps breaking up some of the mega corporations if unscrupulous practices were discovered that would justify needed monopoly busting actions.

In addition, maybe the government could encourage smaller companies to bring back production of medications which have been given to Communist China. This plannedemic has exposed America’s vulnerability and dependence on China for some necessities. We need to move toward independence.

There was a time in America’s history when unions were important and necessary. But now they are more of a tool of the communist elements including the Democrats to divide and demand more and more. Unions do not belong in government or in education. The teacher unions, for example, use their dues to push and support all kinds of Leftist causes and politicians. It is not so much the union members, but it is the union leadership that have been taken over by persons who are greatly influenced by Marxist philosophy. 

Union Membership Has Fallen

American workers now see the unions as part of the problem, not part of the solution. There are several reasons that account for this negative perception. An article provides  “Four Reasons For The Decline In Union Membership.” These are: 

1.    Unions often seem irrelevant.

2.    Unions have a poor public image as being bloated, inefficient and often downright corrupt.

3.    Workers are often “out of sync” with union politics.

4.    Most Americans now turn to government, not unions, for basic protections.

Right to Work Laws

The right-to-work law gives workers the choice of whether to join a union or not. States without right-to-work laws require employees to pay union dues and fees as a term for employment.

The Democratic Party platform opposes right-to-work laws. It says,” We will repeal so-called “right to work” laws that undermine worker power and lead to lower wages and less protection for workers across the economy, and ensure those who have been left without wage and hour protections for decades—including domestic workers and farmworkers—have the same rights as other workers...”   

The Republican Party platform backs a national so-called “right to work” law, “We support the right of states to enact right to work laws and call for a national law to protect the economic liberty of the modern workforce.”

What Union Dues Do

In a 2013 article, “The Alliance U.S. Labor and Unions and the Democratic Party,” was this observation,  “Ever since industrial unions worked to reelect President Franklin Roosevelt in 1936, organized labor and the Democratic Party have worked together in U.S. politics. Unions provide votes, money, and volunteer time, and Democrats offer policy benefits when they take office. This partnership is often taken for granted.”

You can see the contrast the Democrats have long worked closely with unions in a “I’ll scratch your back if you scratch mine.”  Unions contribute to the Democratic Party and in turn receive legislative and regulatory support from the Democrats when they are in power.  Unions, like ethnic minorities, are wedded to the Party for what they can get from them and vice versa.  

The Ideal: Employee-Management Collaboration 

There is no need for unions in a business or organization where the owners and managers treat employees fairly and work jointly in making and ensuring high quality products or services. The best practice is to promote comradery rather than fostering an adversarial relationship, which too often occurs when there is unionization.  

The Democratic Party would oppose non-union environments, claiming all owners and managers abuse workers and need the protection of a union and government agencies to back them up.  The Republicans tend to believe labor and management can work together in a trusting collaborative venture to produce a quality product and services which benefits all stakeholders, employees, managers, owners and/or stockholders.

The Downside of Unions

Workers don’t see the downside of unions incessant demands for more wages and benefits until it is too late at times. Unions through strikes have caused manufacturers to seek labor outside of the country because they cannot compete with non-union businesses in manufacturing or providing services. 

Unionized schools, manufacturing plants, and government agencies too often are where poor or very marginal workers are retained and protected by the union to the overall detriment of the school or business or organization. For example, once a college professor reaches tenure it is almost impossible to terminate them even if their work is below standard. The same is true with government civil service workers. Unions protect deadbeat employees, which makes almost impossible to get rid of them. There should be no federal unions. There are many people in government that are part of the Deep State that have their own political agenda, which often is at odds with the current administration in power. Even though those employees may be doing things to undermine the current administration little can be done because of civil service protections.

Conclusion

Democratic Party is a party of division and they want to support the “oppressed” worker over the “oppressor” employer.  The Democratic Party likes to keep things stirred up so they can be seen as rescuing the “victim.” Elect a Democrat majority in the U.S. House and Senate and elect Joe Biden/Kamala Harris President and you will see business owners driven into submission or bankruptcy under the guise of “helping” the workers.
