Taxpayer Funding of Planned Parenthood: An Unhealthy Choice!

The Akron-Beacon Journal has an editorial today (on Ohio.com) titled titled “Unhealthy Choice.” It was fluff piece extolling the 'virtues' of the malicious organization, Planned Parenthood Federation of America, the largest abortion provided with 800 plus 'clinics.'

The gist of the editorial presents a case for funding this despicable organization. The writer talks about the positive things that the dastardly Planned Parenthood organization does. It talks about the “breast and cervical screenings to vaccinations and pregnancy testing” that it offers to women. The article uses such terms as “indispensible” and “an essential link” in referring to the services that it offers to women. I disagree with the editorial completely.

Here are some additional comments, which I submitted in response to this terribly liberally biased, pro-death editorial:

You leave out some very important reasons for Congressman Mike Pence and a slew of his bipartisan members voting to defund the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. PPFA is much like ACORN, which also lost its funding because of the lawbreaking shenanigan it undertook.
PPFA in Ohio did not report cases of child rape, which it was obligated to report. PPFA clinics have been caught in undercover investigations advising pimps, prostitutes and sex traffickers of minors how to skirt the state laws.  Clinic staff even aided and abetted in offering advice as how to avoid the law.
The funds that PPFA receives from the government amount to over $360 million (1/3 of a BILLION!) annually. Those funds are fungible. PPFA shrewdly claims that none of those funds are used directly for abortions. However, those funds prop up or subsidize to a great extent overhead cost for their legal, but wicked abortion practice. Taxpayers essentially fund abortions through money provided for the “family planning” side of Planned Parenthood’s operation.  PPFA performs 300K abortions each year. It leads this horrific industry in the number of abortions performed.
Further, PPFA has been in serious legal trouble in fraudulent billing in several states. For all of these reasons and more PPFA should be DEFUNDED in the 2011 continuing resolution as well as in the FY 2012 budget.

I am  not sure my comments will be published on line. As lame as the editorial was and as biased as it was I am doubtful that they would want to have their readers exposed to the truth. You can be further exposed to the truth about Planned Parenthood by clicking on the link below. Please contact your U.S. Senator as urge him or her to keep the defunding of Planned Parenthood in the Continuing Resolution for 2011 government operation.

The Whole Armor of God, Part 11

Today I continue my series of articles commenting on the concept and principles involved in the Armor of God, which the apostle Paul described in the New Testament. This is the topic of the Sunday school lesson I am currently teaching

The Armor of God – Sword of the Spirit

6. The Word of God, Scripture: Having the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God (Ephesians 6:17).
Knowledge about God can be gleaned from the observation of nature. His power is shown by His ability to create the stars and the vastness of the universe. The complexity of the cell shows His concern for minute details and causing things to work together properly. The Apostle Paul points this out in his letter to the Romans in the New Testament, “The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” (Romans 1:18-20). This is general revelation, which informs man that God is real but not how to be right with Him.
The word of God is a special revelation from God to mankind about God and His view on things. His view on reality is the only correct position since He is the creator. It tells what God has done in the past and His reaction to what man has done. It (the Holy Bible) has in it the words of eternal life (John 6:68).
A. Scripture is Inspired by God and is Profitable - “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works (II Timothy 3:16, 17).”
B. Scripture is Alive, Active, and Sharp - “The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).”
C. Scripture is Pure - “Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it (Psalm 119:140).” “The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times Psalm 12:6).”
D. Scripture is Truth - “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth (John 17:17.” “Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth (Psalm 119:142).”
E. Scripture is Perfect - “The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul (Psalm 19:7a).”
F. Scripture is Sure - “The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple (Psalm 19:7b).”
G. Scripture is Settled - “Forever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven (Psalm 119:89).”
H. Scripture is Enduring - “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you (I Peter 1:23-25).”
I. Scripture is a Lamp - “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path (Psalm 119:105).”
J. Scripture Cannot Be Broken - “The scripture cannot be broken (John 10:35b).”
K. Scripture Will Accomplish God’s Purpose - “For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it (Isaiah 55:10, 11).”
L. Scripture is More Desirable than Gold - “More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold (Psalm 19:10a).”
M. Scripture Provides Warning - “Moreover by them is thy servant warned (Psalm 19:11a).”
N. Obedience to Scripture is Rewarded - “In keeping of them there is great reward (Psalm 19:11b).”
O. Know the scriptures - “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee (Psalm 119:11).”
P. Think on the Scriptures - “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish (Psalm 1:1-6).”
Q. Obey Scripture - “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil (Ecclesiastes 12:13, 14).”
R. Live by Scripture - “And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live (Deuteronomy 8:3).”
“When the tempter came to him (Jesus), he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God (Matthew 4:3, 4).”
S. Speak the Word of God Faithfully - “The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD (Jeremiah23:28).”
T. God’s Word is like Fire and a Hammer - “Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces (Jeremiah 23:29)?”
U. Obedience to God’s Word Demonstrates Love for Jesus - “Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man loves me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me (John 14:23, 24).”
V. Obedience to God’s Word is Wise while Disobedience is Foolish - “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it (Matthew 7:24-27).”
W. Scripture Provides Understanding - “Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way (Psalm 119:104).”
X. Scripture is of no Private Interpretation - “Knowing this first that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost (II Peter 1:20, 21).”
Y. Scripture is to be Preached - “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine (II Timothy 4:2).”
Z. Scripture is Given as Examples - “Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come (I Corinthians 10:6-11).”
AA. What is Revealed is for Us and Our Children - “The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law (Deuteronomy 29:29).”
BB. Do Not Add to Scripture - “Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. ‘ Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar (Proverbs 30:5, 6).”
CC. Scripture Makes One Wise Unto Salvation - “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus (II timothy 3:15).”
DD. Scripture Cleanses - “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word (Ephesians 5:25,26).”
EE. God’s Word Is Likened to Seed - “And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold (Matthew 13:3-8).”
The sword which is the word of God is the offensive weapon God has given to believers. It is also a defensive weapon to ward off the cuts of the enemy. You, as a believer, need to memorize scripture to have it to use whenever it is needed. You may not have time to look it up in the Bible. If you are saved, then God will bring it to your memory. “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you (John 14:26).”
If you want to get saved you can repent of your sins and invite Jesus into your heart. A simple prayer is, “Lord Jesus Christ forgive me of my evil and come into my heart.”

unPLANNED, the book

If you would like to get an inside look at the abortion debate in America today unPlanned by Abby Johnson is a must read. It is a very personal account of an individual with insights on both sides of this intense life and death issue. Abby was brought up in a strong Christian home, yet ended up being the director of a godless abortion provider clinic in Bryan, Texas. The book is filled with twists and turns, ups and downs in this twenty-something woman’s life. We get a glimpse in her story, at the motivations of someone in this dreadful business, and some of the inner secrets of both sides of the abortion controversy.

Abby Johnson bares her soul, her life to the reader from her freshman year in college days until the present. Motivated by a desire to help women in crisis after she stopped at the abortion and alleged women’s health billion dollar provider, the Planned Parenthood Federation of America's volunteer table on the campus of Texas A & M University, she was inspired (duped really) to join their ‘cause.’ She unknowingly and naively bonded with this deadly, deceptive and morally and ethically corrupt organization.

For nearly a decade Abby thought she was doing the right thing, serving women in crisis. She was a compassionate, caring volunteer, counselor and eventual director in the Planned Parenthood organization. Then one day she was asked to assist in an actual abortion, holding the ultrasound wand so the abortionist could end the life of a 14 or so week old baby. That was it. Watching the screen, watching the deliverate termination of a human life was the culmination of many God directed steps that Abby was to walk to arrive at her eventual decision to leave her position at Planned Parenthood.

In reading this insightful book you should come to the conclusion that Abby Johnson was a sincere, caring individual. However she was on the wrong side of the abortion fence. She knowingly or unwittingly contributed to the murder of hundreds, maybe thousands of human beings and bringing pain and misery to many women. All the time she was thinking she was helping women in crisis. She did help some, but in the larger context she hurt as many or more.

How many caring, compassionate, considerate people got sucked into this horrid pregnancy termination business? I would guess a great number. Hopefully many will see the light of truth as Abby Johnson did. Hopefully many will identify with Abby in reading this book, unPlanned, and will come over to the right side of the fence and call abortion what it is, the taking of innocent life and will want to have nothing to do with that horrific procedure.

Help Defend D.O.M.A.

The homosexual agenda advocates keep pushing and pushing. Their Democrat supports voted repeal of Don't Ask Don't Tell (DADT), now they want repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) law repeal. Next they will want the Employee Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) enacted. Let us hold the line for traditional one man, one woman marriage and strongly support DOMA.

I just signed CitizenLink's "Defend DOMA" petition to urge Congress to step forward to legally defend DOMA, the Defense of Marriage Act that defines in federal law marriage as the union of a man and a woman and protects states from being forced to recognize other state's same-sex marriages.

President (Barry Soetoro aka Barack) Obama and his Department of Justice announced they will no longer defend the law against current legal challenges because they believe the traditional definition of marriage is unconstitutional

Join me in urging Congress to "intervene" in the legal defense of DOMA by signing CitizenLink's petition below.

Click here – Defend DOMA – to sign petition. Here is the wording of the petition:

- The Defense of Marriage Act protects the definition of marriage as between one man and one woman for purposes of federal law.
-  31 states have already voted at the ballot box to protect marriage.  Americans clearly favor marriage as the union between one man and one woman.
-  Please use all the tools at your disposal to intervene in defending the longstanding federal DOMA

The Daily Jot: The White House connection to Qaddafi

Here is an excerpt from Bill Wilson's today's (2-25-22) The Daily Jot, "The White House connection to Qaddafi.":

"The White House put insurmountable pressure on long time US ally Hosni Mubarak of Egypt to step down and pave the way for a more radical regime backed by the terrorist sponsoring Muslim Brotherhood. It was a peaceful transfer of power. In Libya, however, Islamic terrorist dictator Muammar Qaddafi is killing people by the hundreds who are demonstrating against his regime. The White House has stood by silently, offering only a statement from Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that the world should speak as one voice in dealing with the Libyan uprising. The question is evident: Why would the American president depose an ally, but do nothing to remove a radical dictator with a long history of terrorism? ..."    Read more here.

The Most Dangerous Place for African-Americans
is in the Womb!

More blacks have been murdered in their mother's womb than any other race in America. This is in keeping with Planned Parenthood's eugenicist philosophy. For this and for aiding and abetting child molesters and minor sex traffickers, Medicare and Medicaid fraud. That is why the U.S. Senate and the President must also defund this evil organization Now.

House Debate on Defunding Planned Parenthood

U.S. Releases Iranian Terrorist in Prisoner Swap

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k4kDMujJTDk

I could not embed a certain video, but the URL is above.  It's about an assassination plot and the underhanded actions of our government which followed.

Wackenhut, Vodka, Butts, Labor Unions, Collective Bargaining, and Rachel Maddow's Hypocrisy

How dare Rachel Maddow suggest that the Wackenhut security workers should have been fired!  The vodka butt drinking is perfectly acceptable alternative lifestyle which should be protected from discrimination.  And you are guilty of hate speech!

In case you don't appreciate the sarcasm of the preceding paragraph, it was intended to point out the hypocrisy of the liberal homosexual agenda supporting Rachel Maddow.  Of course, even if the facts presented in the above video about the Wackenhut folks and Governor Walker is really true, that does not necessarily say anything one way or another about the wisdom of collective bargaining for public employees.

One example of a bad result of the hiring of a private security company doesn't necessarily mean that that it always a bad idea.  Rachel Maddow's sensationalism which takes the focus off of the real issue.  But I agree with her that Walker should be condemned if he exercised powers which did not belong to him.  But this is more hypocrisy on Maddow's part because she sees nothing wrong with outrageous expansions of federal power well beyond the limits placed by the Constitution.  All of these doctors who are giving fake doctor's notes to public employees attending protests is another thing that is taking away the focus from the real issue. Keep in mind that just because these doctors and protesters are committing fraud, doesn't necessarily mean that SOME public employees may have legitimate concerns about the proposed legislation.

Another flaw in her argument is that the Wackenhut employees were paid with taxpayer's money and chosen by a politician.  So what really is the difference between public and private?  An example of a real private sector solution would be to get rid of all public schools and turn the responsibility of educating children back to the parents where it belongs, entirely removing politicians and taxpayers' money from the equation.

Rather than resorting to sensationalism, we should have a real dialog about this issue of collective bargaining rights of public employees.  I actually don't know whether or not I support the proposed measures in Wisconsin and Ohio.  I certainly think that public school teachers are overpaid and as alluded to earlier, in my opinion, unnecessary.  But police and firefighters are another issue.  They certainly do earn their pay and I know some of them who are afraid that this legislation would endanger their livelihood.  It isn't just about pay, but they are afraid that they could fired for no reason and have no recourse.  Also, without collective bargaining, the local politicians could cut firefighter and police pay in order to take for themselves the money designated for that purpose.  (This is especially prone to happen in large cities.)  Generally, I believe that such problems should be handled at the most local level possible.  But one case which we need to consider is that many of the city police and firefighters live in the suburbs, and cannot vote for the politicians who make the decisions concerning their employment.  With collective bargaining, an arbitrator is chosen to decide the conditions of the employment.  This is not an ideal situation, but getting rid of it (or severely restricting it) for essential services like police protection is something that we need to think long and hard about before trying.  Again, I have not read Ohio's S. 5 or Governor Walker's plan so I don't know whether or not I would support it.  They are very complicated pieces of legislation and the laws already on the books are very complicated.  I doubt that most of the people on both sides of the issue have read and understood the proposed legislation and current law well enough to really make an informed decision.

Banned Parenthood

Hat tip goes to the Family Research Council who sent me this item about the defunding of Planned Parenthood, which happened during the FY2011 budget proceedings in the U.S. House of Representatives last week. I watched some of the C-Span televised event over the three or four days. The open debate was what I imagined the Founders had in mind when they birthed this nation.

Let us hope and pray that the Senate will get serious about the need to trim the budget and approve the Continuing Resolution before the March 4, 2011 deadline or at least by March 31st. Then Congress needs to work on the FY2012 budget, which will take an even more deliberate effort on the part of both sides of the political aisle.

"A few more days of working the third shift, and Congress might give New York a run for its money as the "city that never sleeps." But ask House members, and some of them will tell you that these nocturnal hours agree with them. Rep. George Miller (D-Calif.), a good friend of Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), says SpeakerJohn Boehner (R-Ohio) deserves a lot of credit for how he's managing the chamber. "It was a pleasure working around the clock last night," Miller said. "This is the way it was when I came here. This is open rule. This gives people a chance to throw up their amendments. I don't agree with them, but we can debate them and decide one way or another... I think it's encouraging." While not everyone is ready to hang an "Open 24 Hours" sign over the Capitol's door, it has given leaders the opportunity to speak up at crucial times.

"And no time was more crucial than last night, when members took almost three hours to debate the defunding of Planned Parenthood. The exchange was passionate, fiery, and outrageous--but above all, it was necessary. Of all the 583 amendments offered to thecontinuing resolution (which set the government's budget through September), Rep. Mike Pence's #11 should have been number one on the taxpayers' list. For 41 long years, Planned Parenthood has skimmed billions of dollars off the federal budget to fund a business that exploits, aborts, and misleads women. As Congressmen Pence said, "...[T]his is not about Planned Parenthood's right to be in the abortion business... This debate is about who [funds] it... Nobody is saying that Planned Parenthood can't be the leading advocate of abortion on demand in America ... but why do I have to pay for it?" Democrats fired back that Planned Parenthood offers more to women than abortion. But if those services are as vital as people say they are, Planned Parenthood will find a way to fund them. Organizations do charitable work all the time without the government's help. And unlike Planned Parenthood, 99.9% of them probably haven't been caught on tape encouraging child sex abuse. If thousands of nonprofits can perform quality community outreach without $363 million in taxpayer funds, so can Planned Parenthood.

"Unfortunately, several liberals did not agree and instead slammed the amendment as a "war on women." But the real war on women is being waged by Democrats who view abortion as a type of birth control. Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wisc.) actually stood on the House floor and said that abortion was a better option for unplanned babies than a life "eating Ramen noodles" or "mayonnaise sandwiches." Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.), who is a physician, took offense. "We treat green turtle eggs better than we treat children in the womb," he shot back. "What about those who suffer from sexual assault?" asked Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas), "Where do they go?" Given Lila Rose's latest videos, anywhere but Planned Parenthood! Their clinics are not only the most dangerous places on earth for a child, as Congressman Chris Smith (R-N.J.) said, but they are also the safest havens for sexual predators. The bottom is this: if Congress needs to spend three hours debating the integrity of an organization, should we really be funding it in the first place?

"Ultimately ...  the House passed the Pence amendment this afternoon 240-185 with strong bipartisan support! But now is not the time to let up! Please contact your Representatives and thank them for voting to protect women and children. Then, call your Senators and insist they do the same. Instead of resting, our team will also work on the next phase: defunding Planned Parenthood in the 2012 budget. Momentum is on the side of life, and this is no time to put on the brakes! ..."

FY2011 Showdown: Who’s agenda will prevail, the Radical Left or the Teahadists?

The Left is demonstrably expert in name calling. Its lastest concoction is the clever ‘Teahadists,’ a term the DailyKos used to describe the Republican base. Here is how Jed Lewinson of the DailyKos opened his recent article, “With their spending bill D.O.A., can House Republicans avoid federal shutdown?”today:

“Over the weekend, House Republicans bowed to pressure from their teahadist base by passing a spending bill that would cut $61.5 billion from the federal budget through the final seven months of this fiscal year. But even before the bill passed, Republicans were acknowledging that it was dead on arrival…”

I for one hope Congressional Republicans show some courage and listen to their teahadist base and stand firm. Maybe government should shutdown at least until a more balanced budget is hammered out.

Every Nation IS Under God

In the pledge of allegiance of the United States of America are the words, “one nation under God.” As a matter of fact, in reality every nation is under God: Not only or simply the United States of America.

In Psalms 75:5, 6 we read, “For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.”

With riots taking place and the leader of Egypt leaving office we need to remember that the God of heaven is greater than all the nations put together.

There was a man by the name of Nebuchadnezzar who was the ruler of ancient Babylon (which is present day Iraq) and had conquered the known world at that time. As he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon the king spoke and said, “Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty? While the word was in the king's mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee. And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will. The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles' feathers and his nails like birds' claws (Daniel 4:30-33).”

“At the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honored Him that liveth forever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation. And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counselors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride He is able to abase (Daniel 4:34-37).”

God is able to deal with any leader as He sees fit.

Wisconsin Subversion

Fire the Teachers who had the "blue flu"!

Here are two questions I am asking myself about Wisconsin, which has been in the news the last few days. Governor Scott Walker is facing some difficult decisions regarding reigning in his states budget deficit.

QUESTIONS

Wisconsin: Who governs you, ‘We the VOTERS’ or the public UNIONS?

Wisconsin: Why are Barack Obama's political/campaign operation Organizing for America (OFA), the "Reverend" Jesse Jackson, and Richard Trumka's AFL-CIO interfering in that state's business?

The public unions have had their way in Wisconsin, New Jersey, California, New York and Ohio for a very long time. The more they demanded, the more they received. They have gotten used to getting their way through weak and politically correct polutitcians. Now the people are beginning to elect true and courageous statesmen who are willing to face and deal with fiscal reality. These representatives of the people are drawing the line and are saying NO to the rebellious, obstinate, spoiled children. They are standing up to the union and their hired thugs. I just read on twitter that some people wanting to start a recall drive to get Governor Walker removed. Boo Who, Boo Who, Boo Who …

Grow up President Obama and show some real leadership, pull your OFA goons off this state issue. How about working on reducing the deficit, or how about securing the borders, if you need something to do? You have failed miserably in your lame attempt at cutting the FY2012 budget. My advice is that you get to work and show some leadership. As for the bad ‘Reverend,’ he is automatically drawn, like metal to a magnet at the sound of camera’s clicking. He is nothing more than a rabble rouser. Ditto for Richard Trumka

Continuing Resolution (CR): Cleaning Up the Democrats Mess …

In the U.S. House of Representatives much time has been devoted this week to trying to arrive at a Continuing Resolution (CR) to carry the government through the end of Fiscal Year 2011, which ends September 30, 2011. With the Democrat-led 111th Congress failing in its responsibility to work out and to submit a budget in time when they were in charge last year, there was a great deal of time dealing with 500+ amendments to the Continuing Resolution debated this week. The Continuing Resolution must be presented to and approved by the Senate prior to Friday, March 4th when the previous CR expires. The government may shut down if the House, Senate, and President cannot reach an agreement.

Today, four key amendments to the Continue Resolution Bill were approved:

·                    defunding of ObamaCare
·                    banning the FCC from implementing Net Neutrality
·                    defunding of Planned Parenthood
·                    defunding of EPA’s Global Warming regulations

In addition, on Thursday, 2/17/11 the U.S. House of Representatives approved, 249-171, an amendment that would block the President’s so-called policy “czars,” the very controversial Presidential advisors.

According to a recent TheHill.com article, “The amendment … specifically targets Obama’s “climate czar” by blocking funding

·                    for the assistant to the president for energy and climate change, the position's official title.

The amendment would block funding for the 'czars' through the end of the fiscal year, when the spending bill would run out. The underlying bill also includes a provision to block funding for the position…

“The amendment would also prohibit funding

·                    for the director of the White House Office of Health Reform;
·                    the State Department’s special envoy for climate change;
·                    the special adviser for green jobs, enterprise and innovation at the Council on Environmental Quality;
·                    the senior adviser to the secretary of the treasury assigned to the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry and senior counselor for manufacturing policy;
·                    the White House director of urban affairs;
·                    the special envoy to oversee the closure of Guantanamo Bay;
·                    the special master for TARP executive compensation at the Department of the Treasury; and
·                    the associate general counsel and chief diversity officer at the Federal Communications Commission.”

The spending cuts in the five key areas identified above are an important, symbolic, but woefully insufficient at reducing the federal deficit and federal debt. A great deal more must be done. The new Tea Party Conservatives elected last November not only have to battle the tax and spend Democrats, but they have to fight the entrenched RINOs, who have gotten used to their perceived elite status in Washington. Who will prevail is the question. We the people must increase the pressure on these RINO so that they will do the right thing. Otherwise, they must know that no matter how long people like Mr. Hal Rogers have been living high on the hog in DC he will be GONE in 2012 …
