Late Night Laughs – This Week in Politics

The jokes that follow are courtesy of Newsmax.com which periodically sends out email compilations of jokes from the various late night TV talk shows, few of them are worth repeating . . . these were the exceptions. This current batch of funny monologues all center around the Republican candidates’ campaigns.

Conan
· Donald Trump’s campaign manager is facing charges for grabbing a female reporter’s arm. Trump scolded his campaign manager and said, "On my campaign we only abuse women verbally."
Late Night With Seth Meyers
· Donald Trump in a new interview supported the idea of holding back attacks on the wives and children of rival candidates, before adding, “All you have to do is tell that to Ted Cruz because he started it.” Trump then added, “I’m not touching him! I’m not touching him! I’m not touching him!”
Jimmy Kimmel Live!
· According to the State Department, virtually every foreign leader who meets with Secretary of State John Kerry has expressed concern about the Republican presidential primary election. There's no need to be concerned. It's silly. Once President Trump builds a wall around your country, you'll never see us again.
· According to a new NBC News poll, Donald Trump now has support from 48 percent of Republican voters. All the men and none of the wives.
· John Kasich is in third with 18 percent, but he says he won't give up. He's vowed to keep running. He's going to keep running until one person in America can identify him by face and then he will stop

Just today Donald Trump put his foot in his mouth saying that women who get abortions should be punished.  The man has demonstrated a thorough lack of knowledge of the issues facing America. He has a shallow and limited knowledge, just enough to make him dangerous.

I love the twitter hashtag, #HeStartedIt. It reflects MSNBC’s Anderson Cooper’s comment on Trump’s response to the revealing pix of Trump’s wife posted in a tweet by an Anti-Trump PAC. In apparent retaliation, Trump’s posted an uncomplimentary picture of Heidi Cruz and a glamorous photo of his own wife. Cooper told Trump that he sounded like a 5th grader.  Trump becomes less and less desirable as a Presidential candidate with each passing day.

Late Night Laughs - Trumpin’ the Campaign

The jokes that follow are courtesy of Newsmax.com which periodically sends out email compilations of jokes from the various late night TV talk shows, few of them are worth repeating . . . these were the exceptions.

This current batch of funny monologues center around the Republican candidate for President Donald Trump and his campaign.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
The hacking group “Anonymous” has apparently declared war against Donald Trump. Of course, hacking him shouldn’t be hard, because if there's anyone who just uses their name as their password, it's Donald Trump.

Late Night With Seth Meyers
It was reported yesterday that an op-ed written by Donald Trump seems to have been blatantly plagiarized from an article written by Dr. Ben Carson days before. People first became suspicious when Trump’s op-ed began, “As a black doctor…”
Electing Donald Trump would be a hughly bad idea for America. We don't need another narcissist in the White House. And do we really want 4 years of watching a Reality TV "star" playing President on the world stage? No. #NeverTrump!

Late Night Laughts...Protecting America from Donald Trump

The jokes that follow are courtesy of Newsmax.com which periodically sends out email compilations of jokes from the various late night TV talk shows, few of them are worth repeating . . . these were the exceptions.

This current batch of monologue jokes center around Republican candidate for President Donald Trump, and security issues surrounding his campaign events.

Electing Trump would be dangerous for America. There already is a narcissist in the White House, do we really want another 4 years of watching a one-act play by a two-bit reality TV actor played out on the world stage? I think not!

The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon
· At a rally over the weekend, Donald Trump was surrounded by Secret Service agents after a man tried to rush the stage. The Secret Service said the man was dangerous and disturbed, but they had to protect him anyway.
· Proving once and for all, the best way to keep everyone safe and sound is to build a wall around Donald Trump.

Ben Carson for Republican President Nomination

Donald Trump gave campaign contributions to Hillary Clinton when she ran for senator of New York.  He is not pro-life, he does not oppose gay marriage, he is disrespectful and uses unnecessarily inflammatory rhetoric.  A bridge player, I definitely say "NO TRUMP".

Ted Cruz is not constitutionally eligible because he is not a natural born citizen.  His father was not a citizen of the U.S. at the time that he was born which is the definition of the term.  Cruz is also too much of a hawk on foreign policy.

Marco Rubio is also not constitutionally eligible because he too is not a natural born citizen.  Though he was born in U.S., neither of his parents were U.S. citizens at the time of his birth.  If you vote for either Cruz or Rubio, then you are helping someone to usurp an office that they are not entitled to.  Also Rubio is very much in support of allowing the government read people’s email, listen in on people’s phone conservations and other invasions of privacy without the proper warrants.

John Kasich supports Common Core, Medicaid expansion, and when he was a congressman, he voted for taxpayer funding of abortions.  He quotes verses in the Bible about giving to the poor and says this means that the government should take care of the poor.  This is very bad theology.

Ben Carson is wishy-washy and talks out of both sides of his mouth.  He is not a constitutionalist.  However, he is constitutionally eligible to become president, his positions on the issues are reasonable in comparison with the other candidates and he seems to be respectful and honest.  At least there is hope for him that he might be a "Good Choice".

The Next Two Weeks: Stopping, or Struck By -- the Trump Express?

THEN THERE WERE FOUR

The field of Republican candidates has narrowed significantly. We now have only four candidates with Dr. Ben Carson apparently ending his campaign this afternoon. The next two weeks should narrow the field even further.

CAN ANYONE STOP THE TRUMP EXPRESS?

The big question that may be answered over the next two weeks is: can Senator Ted Cruz stop the Turbulent Trumpster? Or, will Donald Trump really achieve a hostile takeover of the GOP?

The questions may be answered by the results of the series of next primaries and caucuses. I saw an excellent tweet by Cindy Brown (@LiveFreedomOrDi) tonight which outlined the upcoming primaries and caucuses for the next two weeks. She linked to an article on TheRightScoop.com.  That article was such a clear and concise outline that I'm reproducing it below. You can check out the original post at the link below.

THE MOST IMPORTANT DEBATE OF THE SEASON?

Going into the next two week of primaries and debates is another Fox News GOP Debate. The gloves are off. Will Marco Rubio continue to stand up to the school yard bully and exchange personal attacks? Will the moderators guide the debate on real issues or will they feed the personal attack frenzy for ratings? Will Ted Cruz be able to nail down Trump to specifics on any of the issues? The winner of the debate may improve their position in the upcoming contests.

If interested and you don't have cable access, you can watch the Fox News 2016 Republican Presidential Debate via Live Stream Video Online tomorrow, Thursday, 3/3/2016 at 9 PM ET, from Detroit, Michigan by clicking here.

Dr. Ben Carson Drops Out of 2016 Presidential Campaign

I just now received this email from Dr. Ben Carson. It sounds like he is dropping out of the race for President due to the election results from Super Tuesday:

I have decided not to attend the Fox News GOP Presidential Debate tomorrow night in Detroit.

Even though I will not be in my hometown of Detroit on Thursday, I remain deeply committed to my home nation, America.

I do not see a political path forward in light of last evening’s Super Tuesday primary results.

However, this grassroots movement on behalf of “We the People” will continue.

Along with millions of patriots who have supported my campaign for President, I remain committed to saving America for future generations. We must not depart from our goals to restore what God and our Founders intended for this exceptional nation.

I appreciate the support, financial and otherwise, from all corners of America.

Gratefully, my campaign decisions are not constrained by finances; rather by what is in the best interest of the American people.

I will discuss more about the future of this movement during my speech on Friday at CPAC in Washington, D.C.

Thank you for everything.

Sincerely,

Dr. Carson is a great American. He is a wonderful role model for all Americans especially politicians!

I still would love to see a Ted Cruz - Ben Carson Ticket in November. Maybe this will be one step in that direction.  Dr. Carson has added some civility, maturity and refreshment in this otherwise cantankerous and often uncivil debate and campaign, especially on the part of the front-runner, Donald Trump...
