Diversity and tolerance can be divisive

During a conversation on Facebook the following statement was made in a discussion about drag queens, such as the freakish appearance of someone by the name of Billy Porter on the children's show Sesame Street.

Exposing to diversity is always a good thing. This can start some good dialogue for kids.

Here is my response to the above statement to the person who made this comment.

No, sir. Diversity is NOT always a good thing.

In fact, if so-called diversity exposes children to gender confused (mentally disturbed), freakish drag queens, transvestites, pedophiles, child molesters, aberrant sexual educators, racists (black or white) or radical Muslims as some children are being exposed to, it is wrong, it is harmful, it is evil.
Diversity can be divisive, it divides.
Children should be exposed to and encouraged to assimilate into the American culture. The things that unite us should be emphasized. The opposite is happening in our failing public schools due the radicalized teacher unions and "enlightened" elitist led education associations.

Having a proper understanding and appreciation of one's own culture is first and foremost. Secondarily an understanding and appreciation of other cultures and people groups is also worthwhile as long as is not used to indoctrinate or propagandize certain behaviors or philosophies antithetical to ones own culture.

Pope Francis is an Atheist

The Pope believes in molecules-to-man, naturalistic, macro evolution.  This is nothing new.  But this new social justice Pope has gone a quite a bit further than the previous popes on this issue.  Read two of his statements:

When we read about Creation in Genesis, we run the risk of imagining God was a magician, with a magic wand able to do everything. But that is not so...
God is not a divine being or a magician, but the Creator who brought everything to life,

If God isn't divine, then He is not God at all.  If he is not a being, then He is not God at all.  Pope Francis's "God" isn't a god and therefore he is an atheist.  You can say that you believe in God or that you are a monotheist, but if your "God" isn't omnipotent, then you are essentially an atheist.  In the Pope's view, God created everything, but not in six days because He is not able to do that.  God must wait millions of years and rely on chance chemical reactions in order to get the creation He desires.  Thus, despite the reference to "the Creator", Francis' "God" is no creator at all, but merely a tinkerer or an experimenter.

I suspect that this is just another step down the road towards the coming of the beast and the false prophet mentioned in the Book of Revelation.  The idea is to water down Christian teachings so as to make Catholics and others amenable to accepting a bastardized religion--a combination of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity and whatever other religions there are that can be assimilated.

Christians should heed this Word from the LORD:
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves...Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
II Timothy 3:1-2, 5 (KJV)

Diversity versus assimilation

"The accompanying Puck editorial asks "What is an American?" In response, it answers that an American is the assimilation of all immigrants who settled in this country, and urges everyone to be American, American born or American made. ..."  Source

Here is a comment made on the Cleveland.com's National Politics Forum several weeks ago. “Diversity is good. Anyone who is not in favor of it is a racist.” It generated some good commentary, but was quickly purged for political correctness reasons, I presume.

My response, before the entire thread was purged, was that Assimilation is better. To respect and adhere to America’s founding principles, values embodied in the Constitution, and other original intent of the documents is the key to assimilation. Too much of the current regime’s and the now lame duck 111th Congresses’ agenda and legislation has been aimed at fostering the balkanization of America. Using bilingual signage and instructions in government offices is counter productive and encourages disunity instead of unity and assimilation. Oklahoma citizens this fall got it right by banning any implementation of Islamic sharia law or any international law in that state. Ohio and the rest of the nation should imitate the wise actions of the Okies.

In regard to that drawing above, could that man standing on the rim of the citizenship bowl be representative of illegal immigration and Islamic radicalism that tragically are making such inroads into American society today?
Assimilation is always the best route. Those who refuse to assimilate should be denied the rights and privileges of citizenship.

Training in “Diversity”

After I wrote my article yesterday, I posted a tease on an internet forum and the reaction I received caused me to talk about the devisive topic of "diversity." Here is the essence my response to the following comment made by a reader: "A true Citizen of this free country is respecting diversity and everyone is different . . ."
Diversity is not a virtue. It is a vice.

If by “diversity” the radical leftists mean rejecting and purging God from our culture and embracing anything-but-God attitude and way of life, even the most vile, unspeakable and un-American of beliefs, behaviors and values.

Diversity calls for the rejection of any moral absolutes, the rejection of God, the rejection of true Christianity. Diversity may be politically correct, however it is divisive and destructive to a society in the long run. "Diversity" actually mocks the American melting pot.

Assimilation, on the other hand, is a much better word and a much more preferable concept or philosophy. Diversity polarizes. Assimilation unifies. New citizens should be assimilated not accommodated or differentiated or preferred. English only is but one outworking of the assimilation concept. True minorities, like Blacks and Hispanics, should not be pandered to but given a hand up.

The country was founded on and built on moral absolutes, honoring God and Christianity.

Like the words "tolerance” and "gay", "diversity” is one of the words now almost totally corrupted, antithetical and devoid of its original meaning, thereby rendered useless to any believer or seeker of truth. I reject the liberal (mis)interpretation of these once meaningful words. They are not part of my vocabulary today.
