Patrick Henry explains Barack Obama

At a recent TEA Party meeting, I heard this quote made by one of the speakers, who had quoted an early American patriot. Although it was not used in the context of Barack Obama at that meeting, I think it is very apropos.

“Bad men cannot make good citizens. It is when a people forget God that tyrants (i.e. Obama) forge their chains. A vitiated (poor quality, below acceptable standard in quality of performance) state of morals, a corrupted public conscience, is incompatible with freedom. No free government, or the blessings of liberty, can be preserved to any people but by a firm adherence to justice, moderation, temperance, frugality, and virtue; and by a frequent recurrence to fundamental principles.” --- Patrick Henry, lawyer, patriot, and orator, symbol of the American struggle for liberty, 1736-1799

With the election of the current occupier of the White House in 2008, America got what the majority wanted, or thought they wanted. In another sense America got what we deserved. In 2012 we must once again remember God, if we want our liberty restored. We must absolutely reject a second term for the incumbent would-be tyrant.

Our Growing, Groping Government

I was on twitter earlier today and found a link to something interesting on the Obama White House’s website.
 

InfoWars.com states the following, “A petition to abolish the TSA has appeared on the White House.gov website, with the massive response evidence of how infuriated Americans have become at being groped not only at airport, but also highways, sports stadiums and at other public venues.

“The petition appears on the “We The People” section of WhiteHouse.gov, a new feature intended to be “a new, easy way for Americans to make their voice heard in our government.””

Abolish the TSA, and use its monstrous budget to fund more sophisticated, less intrusive counter-terrorism intelligence.

The Transportation Security Administration has been one of the largest, most expensive and most visible blunders of the post-9-11 homeland security reformation. It has

·         violated countless constitutional rights of average Americans,

·         caused miserable and expensive delays in an already-overburdened air travel system, and

·         allowed multiple known instances of harassment, theft, extortion and sexual abuse by its employees.

·         It has failed approximately 70% of undercover efficacy tests, and for all its excesses, has been unable to catch even a single terrorist since its creation.

In our current economic situation, we can no longer afford to continue wasting taxpayer dollars on this Kafkaesque embarrassment. Let us instead invest in saner, more effective solutions.

No Good Reason for the Ground Zero Mosque!

Terry Krepel writes in the radical leftist, George Soros funded, anti-American MediaMatters blog article in response to this cartoon that, "Newsmax magazine mars look at Islam with cartoon reinforcing Muslim terrorist stereotype." I am afraid that this cartoon accurately reflects the motivation behind wanting to build a mosque at Ground Zero. It can only be as a sign of 'victory' over the Great Satan! What else? Imam Rauf has never condemned the terrorist organization, Hamas, and has made anti-American, pro-terrorists statements in the past. 

 

Food ‘Safety” Bill, S 510, Passed by Senate, This is not good!

“15 GOP senators help Democrats kill Constitution,” reports Anthony G. Martin on Twitter and on Examiner.com. Martin analyzes the vote and its repercussions.

Martin identifies the culprits, “The GOP Senators who voted in favor of S.510 are:  Alexander (R-TN), Brown (R-MA), Burr (R-NC), Collins (R-ME), Enzi (R-WI), Grassley (R-IA), Gregg (R-NH), Johanns (R-NE), Kirk (R-IL), LeMieau (R-FL), Lugar (R-IN), Murkowski (R-AK), Snowe (R-ME), Vitter (R-LA), and Voinovich (R-OH).” God love those RINOs. I guess many of them did not get the message sent by the voters on November 2^nd!

He quotes an excellent summary of the bill, “In a telling overview of the bill provided by Michael Geer at The American Thinker, the writer correctly observes that while there is nothing wrong with attempting to insure the safety of the nation's food supply, this bill is not the vehicle by which to do so. Needless overlapping with a dozen other federal agencies charged with oversight over various aspects of the food supply are inherent in the bill, not to mention the massive power-grab by the FDA to micro-manage the food industry.”

WHAT NEXT?

Martin makes this conclusion regarding the bill, “What are the chances of the bill actually passing through Congress?  At present the bill must go through the reconciliation process with a House version that has already been approved.  Pelosi hints that she may support the House's approval of the Senate version in an effort to beat the deadline of the holiday break, so that the bill can go straight to (Barry Soetoro alias Barack) Obama's desk prior to the end of the 111th lame-duck Congress.”

Hopefully, this bill does not get reconciled this session and must be picked up again in the 112^th Congress, where the 6 or 7 new conservative senators will lead the charge toward a smaller, less obtrusive government and bills like this will be aggressively attacked and defeated. I am thoroughly disgusted with the 15 GOP senators who gutlessly voted for this liberty-robbing bill. I especially say good riddance to my Senator and the very RINO George Vionovich!

Here is a video which I heard the audio portion on several radio shows recently. It is a powerful contrast of right and wrong, right versus left, Conservative versuses Liberal or Progressive. It shows, as the video description says, “President Ronald Reagan reminding us that the out-of-touch voices of the Democrat Party don't speak for all Americans.”

There are a lot of Republicans, too, that are out-of-touch voices like John McCain.

Cagey Kagan Hides Her True Views

There is no doubt about it, Elena Kagan is President Barry Soetoro a/k/a Barack Obama’s Harriet Miers. Like Bush’s failed nominee, Miers, Kagan also never served as a judge. Doesn’t the following statement from the Wikipedia entry on Miers sound like it could be written about Kagan?

“Because little was known about Miers' position on divisive issues, and because she had no prior experience as a judge, her nomination was subject to debate on both sides.”

Maybe it isn’t subject to debate by the Democrats in the case of Kagan, because of the fact that she is an accepted radical Leftist and steaming Socialist. However, the little that is known about Kagan’s position such as her pro-abortion, her considering the constitution as a ‘living’ document which is subject to judicial revision, her pro-homosexual, her interpreting our constitution based on international law, and her anti-military stances are anathema to traditional American values - are enough evidence to reject her nomination. Her political bias and activism and her radical liberal philosophies do not allow her from being an objective interpreter of the law.

Further the Liberty Council in their white paper, “Obama Nominates Elena Kagan to Reshape the Supreme Court into his Political Image,” captures the essence of why the Kagan nomination must be rejected:

“Appointments such as this [ appointing someone who shares Obama’s liberal judicial and political philosophies and has been a longtime political supporter ], where the President’s appointment is based on FAVORITISM and FRIENDSHIP rather than the EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS of the nominee, are precisely why we called for the withdrawal of Harriet Miers when she was nominated by George W. Bush. It is also why the Founding Fathers placed a check on the President’s power of appointment, requiring the advice and consent of the Senate.”

So like the rejection of the Harriet Miers nomination, I urge my Senators and all Senator’s to reject this ultra-liberal, because of her bigotry and bias toward life, toward Christianity, toward traditional American values including the exclusivity of marriage between a man and a woman and her radical activist political bent. We do not need the type of individual who will unceasingly work to destroy the very foundations of American life and liberty.

Kagan does not only mirror Miers in many regards, but also Soetoro alias Obama. Little was known about him prior to his election, or little vetting was performed by the pro-Leftist laying (or lying or leaning - take your pick!) press of the then Presidential candidate. He hid well his true colors. Now that he is in power the ugliness of his positions surface in his obvious contempt of the American people, American exceptionalism, and American values. Kagan is trying the same tactic. Hopefully we won't be fooled twice.

Contact your United States Senators and demand that they reject the Kagan nomination on the grounds mentioned above. We need a fair minded, experienced interpreter of the law not a law-maker or tyranny-creator.

Civil Rights: Martin, Scott & Roe

What a week of commemoration of American civil rights: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This past Sunday, civil rights leader and activist Martin Luther King, Jr. would have been 81 years old had he not been assassinated. On Tuesday a non-conservative, RINO Republican, Scott Brown, defeated a hard-core liberal Democrat filling the seat held by the radical liberal and rabid pro-death Senator Edward Kennedy for a half of a decade. Then on Friday we hold memorials throughout the nation commemorating the deaths of million of babies because of the flawed, feckless, and fatal (to babies and many mothers) Roe v. Wade US Supreme Court decision of 37 years ago.

MARTIN

MLK, Jr. fought for civil rights of blacks. He fought the tyranny of bigotry and racial hatred. He paid for it with his life.

SCOTT

Scott Brown pulled of a miracle by beating the Democratic Party hand-picked candidate. The messiah even 'blessed' Brown's opponent's candidacy! The Party and the candidate were so cocky-confident that they hardly campaigned.

Above all, Scott Brown’s victory was a complete repudiation of the tyrannical Soetoro/Obama agenda. Americans want liberty not tyranny.

ROE

Speaking of civil rights, the biggest civil rights matter is rights of unborn persons! This nation tolerates the murder of over a million babies every year. Furthermore, black women and girls make up 12% of the nation’s women but 37% of the abortions are done to these women. Planned Parenthood has had proven ties with the eugenicist movement of the past. Planned Parenthood’s clinics are located in predominated black and minority neighborhoods. They are funded and controlled by modern-day eugenicists and liberal elitists.

So the tyrannical assault on unborn human beings continues unabated with the acquiesce of the courts and the whole-hearted support of radical pro-death culture proponents of all political persuasions. The assault is especially cruel and unusual against the people of color – the blacks, the browns and the reds . . .

SO WHAT?

So it all boils down to liberty versus tyranny. Martin Luther King, Jr. said "no" and "enough" to the mistreatment of blacks. It cost him his life. Scott Brown said "stop" to the tyrannical direction that President Soetoro aka Obama, Pelosi and Reid are driving this nation, and he miraculously won. Roe v. Wade continues to be challenged by lovers of life and liberty. And just like King, people are fighting and picketing for the personhood of the pre-born babies.

What a week of remembrance and marking the reclaiming of our freedoms and that of every American, including those months, days and minutes away from birth . . . .

Hanoverton, Ohio's 'Boston Tea Party' - 7/3/09

GOVERNMENT TAKE OVER

Plymouth Street in Hanoverton, Ohio was the location of a TEA Party on Independence Day Eve. Enough people to almost match the population of Hanoverton filled an area to here various speakers including Dave Zanotti who served as the moderator and announced an after the Tea Party Project that included a nationwide effort to fire the entire Congress! Ohio House of Representative Minority Leader Bill Batchelder said, ". . . As a student of history, that this nation is at the DARKEST period of time in its history. I include the Civil War."

Batchelder went on to say, "We have a tendency in Washington today, which is becoming a trend, which is becoming, indeed, a sweeping trend across the country to CENTRALIZE all government in the city of Washington. To take away the RIGHTS and privileges of the people of this great country. In fact, at the end of the day, to take over our economy . . ."

Batchelder concluded his remarks urging the 500-1,000 assembled, to stand tall and to stand strong and to see to it that the current crisis "does not become the center of a dictatorship."

CASUALTIES OF SOCIALISM

The next two speakers, Robert E. Murray and Bob Frederick are or soon will be victims of the economic coup that is currently taking place in Washington, to which Representative Batchelder was referencing. Murray owns a coal mine that produces 60^% of the coal used by electrical utilities serving Ohioans. Cap and Tax legislation, if passed by the U.S. Senate and signed by the President, would eventually kill his company and would dramatically increase the cost of energy radically.

Frederick has had his car dealership taken from him without any compensation. The bankruptcy court reduced his franchise to $0. There was a lot of political shenanigans that went into the way the reduction of dealerships was dealt with. Again the heavy hand of the Soetoro aka Obama administration was evidenced in that decision.

The climax of this TEA Party event was the announcement of a project, by American Policy Roundtable CEO Dave Zanotti, to issue pink slips to the entire Congress. He indicated that this would be one key action step to be taken that comes out of the Tea Party Movement. The concerted and united effort to rid the country and the Congress of those individuals who contributed to the growing economic disaster, those who voted or will vote for the

We need to hold all of our 'Representatives' accountable for this mess that they got us in and into which they are digging us deeper. Zanotti revealed a step-by-step process that will issue each member notice that their job is terminated. They will be issued a pink slip. They will be even provided information as to moving companies they could use in packing up their household goods to return back to Ohio. This is a quite comprehensive effort to bring to the attention of the electors that the electorate is upset and has had enough.
