What Democrats Want, Day 3, Countdown to Oblivion? DEMOCRATIC AGENDA

http://

THE meme below highlights the Democratic agenda – what they want to do - for the next four years and beyond should the 2020 General Election result in a Harris-Biden presidency, a Chuck Schumer-led Senate along with a Nancy Pelosi-led House. This would give the Democrats full control of both the executive and legislative branches of the federal government. And if you take the Democrats’ threats of court-packing of the Supreme Court, they could very well be in-charge of the entire government.

Elizabeth Johnston, the Activist Mommy, in a recent Facebook video outlined how a Biden/Harris Administration would endanger America, especially America’s children. She also identified some unsafe, even deadly policies we could expect if the Democrats are given full power.

She contrasted the Democrat agenda with what continuing another term for President Trump would mean in policy and in practice.

A vote for Biden (Harris) is a vote to

Ø  Defund the police who keep our communities safe

Ø  For domestic terrorists who riot and loot on the streets of America

Ø  Take away God-given Second Amendment right to protect ourselves and our families from those same rioters

Ø  Giving sex and drug traffickers a free ticket into our communities through open border

Ø  Continue the murder of unborn children (abortion)

By contrast a vote for President Trump is a vote for

Ø  Law and order, doing all he can to keep the police fully funded

Ø  Ending sex traffickers and locking up pedophiles

Ø  Continued defense of the unborn (Life)

Ø  Upholding our Second Amendment rights

Ø  Protection of religious freedom

A Time of Choosing

To keep children safe, as is the desire of nearly every conscientious parent, requires one to vote Republican, to re-elect President Donald Trump.  Anyone voting for Joe Biden (Kamala Harris) is voting to endanger the public citizenry, especially children born and unborn.

The choice for the voters in this election is a stark contrast. Voters will be choosing between two very different worldviews. On one hand, Biden (Harris) offer a mostly godless secularism and socialism. On the other hand, the Republicans represent mostly biblically sound principles with free enterprise capitalism.

You are voting for either freedom for the people (the Republicans) or you are voting for oppressive tyranny of the people (the Democrats.)

Finding Liberty Lost, Independence Day, 2017

"The real democratic American idea is, not that every man shall be on a level with every other man, but that every man shall have liberty to be what God made him, without hindrance."

-  Henry Ward Beecher

The World View in Five Minutes on Monday, July 3, 2017 had a special report by Emily Swanson,  "New Video Brings Out the True Meaning of Liberty. In the report below the author talks about the short video "The Lost Secrets of Liberty," which reviews what true meaning of Liberty to America. You can click on the link and watch the video.

Our liberty here in America is deeply rooted in our Christian heritage. The more we reject our heritage, the further we get away from it, the less free we are as a people.

The recent perverse United States Supreme Court decisions making abortion and same-sex "marriage" legal are leading the culture to the loss of basic morality, decency and freedom. America needs to wake up and return to its roots.

By Emily Swanson
A new video from Bill Heid and Heirloom Audio Productions entitled The Lost Secrets of Liberty, released in time for July 4th, has been censored by Facebook.
Heid sought to bring Americans back to a real meaning of liberty and how true liberty is found in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“When we talk about something like liberty or if we say, ‘There's oppression.’ That has to have some type of framework. That has to have some type of context. We have to say, ‘What is it that we're going to be free of? Who is that’s going to be free of what?’”
Heid said that we need a clear definition of liberty in a culture that has made liberty a cliche word.
“The poacher thinks that conservation laws are oppressive. He wants freedom and liberty from that. So what is it that we're going to talk about? My biggest fear that we cover in the video is this idea of liberty; it's almost like a throw away word. It's used so much. What is it that we're trying to get that has made us free? What is it that has created this? How can we get underneath this concept and start to discuss it?”
The reason given by Facebook for banning the film? “Images of nudity or cleavage.” Heid’s only guess is that it might have been from an image of Michelangelo’s painting. It appears as though Facebook is grasping at straws. And ironically, Facebook, which should celebrate liberty, is actively curtailing it.
Regardless of Facebook’s misguided agenda, Heid remarked that he hopes the video will be a conversation starter about liberty.
“I like to think of the video as conversation starters. You could send it to an atheist friend or a Muslim friend or even a Christian friend that doesn't see things as we might.”
Heid emphasized the video is to remind us that liberty must be tethered to the right foundation.
“It has to be tethered to something because no one can do anything that they want to do anytime they want to do it. No one has that type of abstract freedom.”
Heid said that the discussion starts at remembering where man's slavery really begins.
“One of the things that Luther talked a lot about that really was the springboard of the Reformation and the hinge upon which a lot of this turns is that if we don't understand that being a slave to sin is a foundational issue, we're going to find ourselves way off track.”
Heid said that the Word of God provides a great framework for discussing the freedom of the one and the freedom of the many.
“There's always been this battle between the one and the many. And most Americans don't even know what you would be talking about when you said that. When we're talking that way we're talking about, ‘What's more important? The guy in the pew or the church itself? The individuals in a marriage or the marriage itself? The voter or the entire populace of the United States. If you err on either one of those sides, you're going to have anarchy on one side or you're going to have tyranny, on the other side. What I'm positing here is that Christianity is the only thing that handles this one and the many with the equal ultimacy of the Trinity.”
Heid advised how Christians should speak out for liberty in our culture.
“The first thing we have to decide is what Christianity is going to be. If we're going to reduce it to this idea where salvation is kind of in a closet; I go to God for my fire and life insurance; then quite rightly it doesn't speak to other aspects of our life and culture. I'm somebody that's going to push this more comprehensive idea of what it means to be a Christian and where does the Bible apply. I'm going to say all of the Bible for all of life.”
Heid shared a little known story that he portrays in the film about founding father Ethan Allen representing the mindset of God-given liberty.
“Ethan Allen, when he's at the Fort Ticonderoga, as a young lieutenant, a Redcoat said to him, ‘By what authority are you on the King's property?’ And he said, ‘By the authority of the Lord God Jehovah and the Continental Congress.’ That's a really interesting thing because we have to start to say, ‘By what authority? Who has the authority to say this or that?’”
Heid said there needs to be a biblical awakening to reignite a desire for true freedom.
“If there's going to be an awakening it has to be biblically-centered. We have to fall back in love with God's revealed Word and then we can't be afraid to talk about it. We've got to get it out of its cage and say, ‘How is this applied?’ And then as far as liberty's concerned, I think that liberty needs to be a byproduct of something else. If you're faithful to God's Word, liberty is going to be one of those very enjoyable by-products.”  ...
Heid emphasized that we can only taste liberty by seeking God, not by seeking liberty as the end goal.

The Conservative Movement 1964-2014 from Barry Goldwater to Barry Soetoro

I received this encouraging article in my in-box today. I reprint it here because it is a good summary of the Conservative Movement the past 50 years through the eyes of a conservative journalist. Emphasis added is mine...

My First 50 Years In The Conservative Movement: Reflections and Observations

March 17, 2014

By Don Feder

It's been 50 years since the Goldwater campaign, when conservatism as a political force came of age.

This year also marks my first 50 years the conservative movement.

Like many conservatives of my generation, it started with the Arizonan's quixotic quest for the White House. I was too young to vote, but headed my high school chapter of Students for Goldwater. One thing the campaign should have taught us is that it's not enough to hold the right positions. You need be able to articulate them without sounding like a cross between Vlad the Impaler and Crazy Guggenheim.

The one bright spot in an otherwise dismal campaign was a late October speech ("A Time for Choosing") by an ex-actor who 17 years later became our greatest president of the 20th century.

Although I didn't know it at the time, with the Goldwater campaign, I had enlisted for life. In college, I started a chapter of Young Americans for Freedom at my alma mater, Boston University. YAF was then the largest and most active national conservative organization. Eventually, I helped to start YAF chapters at a dozen Massachusetts colleges and universities.

In the 1960s, I encountered a neo-Marxist movement called the New Left, which would become the most corrupting force in American politics. With the triumph of Alinsky disciple Barack Hussein Obama, its banner now flies over the White House.

In the 1970s, I joined the burgeoning anti-tax movement, becoming the first executive director of Massachusetts Citizens for Limited Taxation. I helped defeat a graduated state income tax and was involved with a property-tax cutting initiative called Prop 2 ½. That was followed by two years on the West Coast running the Second Amendment Foundation, where we fought to preserve a constitutional right the left claimed was nonexistent.

That led to 19 years as a columnist (lightly syndicated) and editorial writer at The Boston Herald (1983-2002). During those years, The Herald published over 2,200 of my columns.

Since then, I've been a free-lance writer, media consultant and communications director of the World Congress of Families. To recap, since 1964, I've been part of the campus-conservative, anti-tax, gun-owners rights, and family-values movements, while championing conservatism as a commentator.

I'm not boasting – others have contributed far more – but I have been around, fought for diverse causes and experienced the best and worst of a movement which has shaped America more than any other in the post-War era.

Here are the lessons I've learned along the way, most of which you won't hear on talk radio or read in the blogosphere.

       1. Many who call themselves conservatives have a comic-book view of conservatism. Talk to anyone under 35 at the Conservative Political Action Conference (the annual orgy of self-congratulation and muddled thinking just ended) and you're likely to hear the following: "I'm an economic conservative." (In other words, "I have no idea of what a conservative is.") "I don't care about marriage, abortion and stuff like that." ("I'm a conservative who doesn't care about morality, the family and protecting innocent human life.") Ask what they believe and the answer you're likely to get is "Freedom, freedom, freedom! We need to cut taxes and have a smaller government." This is a pathetic reductionism that tries to distill two centuries of conservative thought, from Edmund Burke to Russell Kirk, to "Government bad. Fortune 500 good!" This is to authentic conservatism what a sad clown done with paint-by-numbers is to Rembrandt.

       2. Our cause is faith, family and freedom. These are building blocks. We start with faith, because liberty, morality and human nature (on which the first two are based) are of God. The family because it is the foundation of social order and the cradle of civilization. Freedom because it gives us the chance to find our way to God, and the ability to have families and make life's most important decisions.

       3. Conservatives are patriots, not nationalists. We love America; we don't worship the nation state. We understand that, internationally, America isn't always right. A nationalist says: "My country right or wrong." A patriot says: "I love my country and will strive to see that it's in the right."

       4. Conservatives believe in the concept of American exceptionalism – that America is unique in its contributions to freedom, prosperity and civilization, at home and abroad. And that, for more than two centuries, America has blessed humanity – materially and spiritually. You can disagree with the patriotic consensus on almost anything else – including defense and foreign policy – but dispute this, and you're merely a resident of the United States and not an American.

       5. Conservatives believe in representative government, not democracy. The Founding Fathers disdained democracy (or "mobocracy" as they called it) which is why the word is not to be found in the Declaration of Independence or Constitution. The latter speaks of securing "the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity." As America has become more of a democracy and less of a republic, we've become less free. De Tocqueville warned that democracy becomes a nation's undoing when the majority discovers it can vote itself benefits out of the treasury (out of the pockets of the more productive). Any limitation on governmental power – like the Bill of Rights – is anti-democratic, which is why the left keeps telling us that the Constitution is outmoded.

       6. Conservatives aren't libertarians or soft anarchists. Libertarians and conservatives support the free market. That's where the similarities end. Libertarians (utopians of the right) believe in the separation of morality and government, as if such was even possible. A consistent libertarian opposes laws against drugs, prostitution, child pornography, abortion and euthanasia, and even age of consent laws. But, without a moral foundation, liberty becomes license. (John Adams explained: "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.") The type of "freedom" libertarians advocate would lead to an unraveling of the social order, which would eventually result in a new tyranny, as the masses clamor to escape the chaos libertarians have unleashed. Libertarians understand the human drive for freedom, but miss the corresponding drives for security and order. The business of conservatives is to balance the three.

       7. Private property and the free market lead to prosperity and are bulwarks against tyranny – The genius of the free market can be seen in comparing the economies of North and South Korea, East and West Germany (before reunification), and Costa Rica and Cuba. In the U.S., states with lower taxes and less regulation have more robust economies and better job growth. Private property and the free market also lead to a diffusion of power, one reason the concentration of power in Washington over the past century – which has accelerated under Obama -- is so dangerous. The power to tax and regulate can easily lead to control over every human activity – from how we raise our children to our speech and even our thoughts. The current regime would put the nation's health care in the hands of politicians and bureaucrats, literally giving them the power of life and death.

       8. There is no conservative foreign policy, though there are some guiding principles. Isolationism and interventionism is a false dichotomy. If the Founding Fathers were inveterate isolationists, why did Jefferson send the Marines to the shores of Tripoli in the first decade of the 19th century? Sometimes, intervention in foreign conflicts is unavoidable. (World War II, Korea and Vietnam being cases in point.) And sometimes, the net result of intervention is building a better infrastructure for the Taliban or creating another Muslim republic in the Balkans. The Crimea? It hard to imagine a region whose fate is less related to our national interest. (Outer Mongolia? Fiji?) All intervention doesn't lead to a quagmire, and every crisis isn't Munich. Here are a few principles on when to intervene and how: 1. Don't use the U.S. military like the Peace Corps – an international force of community organizers. 2. Don't make threats you're not prepared to follow through on. 3. Even when our just national interests are at stake, apply as little force as necessary. Military intervention should always be the last resort. 4. A thug with an ideology is always more dangerous than a thug without one. 5. Support your friends; frustrate your foes. 6. The world is a perilous place. It always has been. Without a strong military, we will lose everything.

       9. Islam is the principal external threat to America. Islam is as much an ideology as a religion. For most of its 1,300-year history, its goal has been conquest – a worldwide caliphate. (By comparison, communism and fascism are the new bullies on the block.) In normative Islam, there can be no separation of the political and spiritual. (Freedom of conscience, prized in the West, doesn't exist.) It's no coincidence that terrorism comes almost exclusively from the Islamic world – the Muslim Brotherhood and Tehran, Hamas and Hezbollah, al-Azhar University and al-Qaeda, Shiite, Sunni and Wahabi. Churches and synagogues don't preach holy war.

       10. Leftism is the principal internal threat to America. Liberalism has morphed into a monstrosity which would have been unrecognizable to the liberals of old. Today, its drive for conformity by crushing dissent is relentless. With speech codes, anti-discrimination legislation, IRS harassment, and social sanction (political correctness) – and forcing abortion, contraception and homosexual "marriage" on believers – it has created a new totalitarianism, a drive to dominate every aspect of life and try to reshape human nature (the age-old dream of totalitarians). This is no longer a war of ideas but a struggle to preserve civilization.

       11. The GOP is a necessary evil. The conservative movement has principles. The Republican Party has positions which it dangles before unsuspecting voters. There isn't an issue on which the party isn't willing to betray one or another of its core constituencies – from life and the family, to spending and immigration. The reward the Tea Parties got for delivering a Republican victory in 2010 ranged from sneering contempt to outright hostility by establishment Republicans. The "conservatism" of the GOP is transitory – until the next opinion poll do us part.

       12. The Republican Party is all we have. A conservative third-party, which would do more than collect protest votes, is an illusion. The last major party to emerge from the ashes of one that failed is the GOP of the 1850s. That was before the age of mass media and billion-dollar budgets for presidential campaigns. The conservative goal should be a hostile takeover of the Republicans. We should enter the primaries, full force, to nominate the right candidates. Once they're elected, we should maintain unremitting pressure to keep them honest. We should take every opportunity to defeat RINOs, to weaken the establishment's hold on the party, even if it means voting for Democrats in general elections. In 1964, the enemy was George Romney and Nelson Rockefeller. By 2012, it was Mitt Romney and Karl Rov-efeller.

For all our shortcomings, conservatives are the only political force interested in rational analysis and open debate. Minds on the left are closed so tight that they might as well be hermetically sealed. "The discussion is over" should be stamped on their foreheads. "It's time to move forward on me telling you what to do – and you doing it."

In 1964, American culture was still relatively sane. Today, the savages make movies, report the news, control corporate boardrooms and run the public schools. America's survival depends on the triumph of conservatism.

America's Worst Nightmare to Come True at the Intersection of ObamaCare and the IRS

Hat tip goes to Underground Express (@undergroupexp), which recently tweeted a link to this revealing picture. Is this what we can expect from the IRS in the not too distant future based on recent revelations? Chilling! Preposterously Progressive or Overbearing Overreach?

https://securecdn.disqus.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/495/6020/original.jpg

America should be outraged at the eventuality and inevitability that this IRS will be  'Managing' ObamaCare, especially after the IRS Gate abuse of power scandals exposed this week.

A Far Greater Threat Than Guns

"Obama is a far greater threat to your everyday existence than guns."

Hat tip goes to Scott, @retiredfirecapt on twitter who succinctly summarized the gun control issue, as well as the first (and second, if America survives) term of President Barack Obama, in the above statement...
Shortly after seeing Scott’s tweet above, I saw Michelle Ray’s (@GaltsGirl) post on twitter with a link to Josh Bernstein’s ConservativeDailyNews.com article below:

Why I support Barack Obama as Time’s Person of the Year

Barack Obama was named Time Magazine’s Person of the Year for 2012. An honor bestowed upon almost every president since 1927. Our 44th President is a remarkable president. No president in our nation’s history has accomplished so little in such a short time. No president has ever been elected to the highest office in the land with less experience. No president has ever been reelected with a record as remarkable as this president’s record.

Here are the top 10 reasons why I support Barack Obama as Time’s Person of the Year.

1. For the first time in our nation’s history we had our credit rating downgraded from AAA to AA+. (In terms of baseball that would be the equivalent of being sent back down to the Minor leagues.)

2. The Benghazi Cover Up. Four Americans died in Libya on Sept 11, 2012 while the President watched and did nothing. After the attack the President lied and said it was not a terrorist attack. To make matters worse initially the attack was blamed on a video. (Three months later the American People are still waiting for the truth and an apology.)

3. The President has presided over the worst economy since The Great Depression. His policies, not the ones of his predecessor are the main reason the economy will not recover. The main culprit is his signature achievement. The Affordable Care Act has kept small businesses from hiring, thus exacerbating the problems in regard to the economy. (If we repeal and replace AFA the economy will turn around a lot sooner.)

4. There are 47 million Americans on food stamps right now. (The President has certainly earned his nickname as the Food Stamp President.)

5. It has taken 219 years and 43 former presidents to spend less money than Barack Obama has spent in only his first four years. (As a result of this accomplishment according to U.S. Debt Clock.org that is approximately $52,000 per person.) http://www.usdebtclock.org/

6. With 23 million Americans out of work and the unemployment rate over 8% Barack Obama has not met with his jobs council in over six months. If that wasn’t enough he also removed the work requirement for Welfare. (Mr. President, the greatest social program is a job.)

7. With the threat of a nuclear Iran, the Assad regime in Syria, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, a Middle East on the verge of eruption, an unstable North Korea, a belligerent Russia, and a power hungry China, the President wants to cut our national defense as well as reduce our nuclear arsenal to pre Cold War levels. (Just for extra fun he also has skipped the majority of his intelligence briefings.)

8. Gas prices when George W. Bush left office were $1.78 a gallon. Gas Prices have routinely been over $3.50 per gallon and continue to grow even higher. (Good call Mr. President on turning down that Keystone Pipeline.)

9. Telling business owners that they are not responsible for building their own businesses. Eluding to the fact that somehow the government had a hand in building their businesses, not the blood, sweat, tears, sacrifice, risk, and money of the entrepreneurs themselves. (Mr. President, why do small businesses fear you again?)

10. Solyndra, Fisker Automotive, General Motors, Fast and Furious, Cash for Clunkers, Spectra Watt, Sun Power, First Solar, Bright Source, the list goes on and on and on.

The folks at Time Magazine sure know how to pick them. They made an excellent choice for their Person of the Year. Barack Obama has accomplished so much in so little time. With his stellar record of achievements what else could he possibly do to better his already stellar record? I know at least half the country right now is waiting on pins and needles to find out. Maybe he will be so successful that he becomes President for life? I’m sure the President’s next four years will be just as successful as his first four years.

Isn’t it ironic that the same man who is named ‘Person of the Year’ at the end of four failed years and the beginning of an undeserved 2nd term is receiving this recognition? It is about as meaningful as his receiving the Noble Peace Prize prior to any real accomplishment other than fooling half of the American voting public four years ago.

Someone on an on-line forum just asked me how I was doing. My response was “Pretty well, considering the fact that my country must endure four more years of grossly inept leadership on the part of both the Democrat and the Republican Parties. Despite the fact that no one wants to deal with the real problem with our nation - Big Government and its Big Spending ... Where "Tax the Rich' is being used by Obama as a distraction to cover his many failures and to deflect the attention away from the real problem – the nations increasing debt!”

Five Reasons to Vote NObama NOw or in November

I have some very serious reservations regarding Governor Mitt Romney. This election season we are faced with two very sorry, poor, less than optimal choices for President of the United States. However, there is one of the two candidates who is absolutely unacceptable. Janet Porter's video below clearly describes why I will be voting NObama in November! I will not like it, but I will mark the ballot for Governor Romney.

The top five reasons Barack Obama should not be re-elected as President include:
·         Life - There is no question of where President Obama stands. He even believes in partial abortion. He voted three times against the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act. He turned his back on the will of the people and forced abortion to be included in ObamaCare. ObamaCare creates the Death Panel, who will prescribe what treatment Americans may or may not

·        Marriage CorruptionObama believes that same-sex couples should be able to get “married.” Chick-filet values are not Chicago values – Rahm Emanuel, and thank God they are not!

·         Israel – Obama could not meet with the Prime Minister of Israel, he was just too busy with David Letterman…

·         Freedom – What did Obama do when Islamist Jihadists murdered our Ambassador? He spent $100,000 for ads apologizing for the video, which they said caused the “protest.”

·         America – 46 million Americans are on food stamps, a 70% increase from 2007.

Two more reasons include:
AmnestyObama champions open borders and the Dream Act. He continues not to enforce immigration laws.
Massive Debt and Deficits – The Obama administration has undertaken unrestrained spending without living within a budget. What budget?  The Democrat controlled Senate has not approved a budget in nearly three years.

Catholics and Evangelicals Wake up to the Message of This Video

Hat tip goes to tweeter @LiberalWhoppers as well as blogger TheGatewayPundit.com where I was directed to this video. The comments below are from TheGatewayPundit.com.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vein.”
Psalm 127:1

Catholics Called to Witness released this powerful video for the 2012 election. The values ad includes this powerful quote from Cardinal Dolan:

“Forcing the Church to buy insurance that goes against her teachings is a violation of religious freedom… When the government tampers with a freedom so fundamental, one shudders to think what lies ahead.”

This is an amazing production. The video already has over 100,000 views.

Vote Y3S! On Issue 3

OK, its time to get out and vote for issue 3!  If you vote "no" you are saying that you want to be a slave.  Many people have argued with me about this.  They say that it will cost more money to take care of the poor slobs who need healthcare, but don't have insurance.  But how much is it going to cost to jail the people who refuse to buy the insurance and refuse to pay the resulting fine?  And if this is not enforced, then there is no point in it.  If you don't buy health insurance, is that really a crime?  On scale from one to ten, one being petty theft and ten being cold-blooded, premeditated, mass murder, where does not buying health insurance fall?   And how much insurance is enough?  If you think that the government must make that decision for you, then you have made yourself a slave.

Late Night Takes - The Occupation of Wall Street

Late Night Jokes

Jimmy Kimmel Live!

"It’s the 24th day of the Occupy Wall Street protests, also known as the largest homeless slumber party in the world."

This joke is courtesy of NewsMax.com which periodically sends out an email compilation of late night jokes, few of which are worth repeating . . . this is the exception.

Tea Party 'Terrorists' -vs- Occupy Wall Street Protestors

Hat tip goes to @tnacgal who posted a link on her recent tweet to the following cartoons illustrating the difference between the grassrooted Tea Party Movement and the astroturfed Occupy Wall Street Counter Movement. The main stream media tries all it can to distort the realities of the two opposing movements.

Our Growing, Groping Government

I was on twitter earlier today and found a link to something interesting on the Obama White House’s website.

InfoWars.com states the following, “A petition to abolish the TSA has appeared on the White House.gov website, with the massive response evidence of how infuriated Americans have become at being groped not only at airport, but also highways, sports stadiums and at other public venues.

The petition appears on the “We The People” section
of WhiteHouse.gov, a new feature intended to be “a new, easy way for Americans to make their voice heard in our government.””

Read the petition's description below, and if you agree with me, please add your name as I did today, to the petition using the link mentioned above.

Abolish the TSA, and use its monstrous budget to fund more sophisticated, less intrusive counter-terrorism intelligence.

The Transportation Security Administration has been one of the largest, most expensive and most visible blunders of the post-9-11 homeland security reformation. It has

·         violated countless constitutional rights of average Americans,

·         caused miserable and expensive delays in an already-overburdened air travel system, and

·         allowed multiple known instances of harassment, theft, extortion and sexual abuse by its employees.

·         It has failed approximately 70% of undercover efficacy tests, and for all its excesses, has been unable to catch even a single terrorist since its creation.

In our current economic situation, we can no longer afford to continue wasting taxpayer dollars on this Kafkaesque embarrassment. Let us instead invest in saner, more effective solutions.

We the People to President Obama

Hat tip goes to TeaParty.net for this YouTube video by Nos Populus. Transcript follows the video.

Dear President Obama,

“We The People” have stated resolutely we reject your vision for our country. You claim you have not heard us.

“We The People” have assembled across America resisting your efforts to subvert our constitution and undermine our liberty. You claim you have not seen us.

Since you have not acknowledged our message, let us here present it once more for if as President Wilson said, “a leader’s ear must ring with the voices of the people,” the time has come.

Our greatest treasure is freedom – the absence of restraints on our ability to think and to act. The corollary of freedom is individual responsibility. We believe in the power of the individual.

A few years ago President Bush said, “History moves toward freedom because the desire for freedom is written in every human heart.” Let us add that we will preserve it only as long as devotion to freedom is expressed in the heart of our actions.

When President Lincoln dedicated Gettysburg National Cemetery he declared, “It is for us the living to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus so nobly advanced.”

That unfinished cause for which our soldiers willingly go to battle and for which so many have given their lives is a free United States of America. It has been nearly one hundred fifty years and the work President Lincoln spoke of is not finished. In fact, that work will never be finished.

Freedom is the capacity of self-determination. It is not an entity but a condition and conditions change. Freedom can expand, yet so can it contract.

You promised change when you took office, Mr. President, but subjugation is not change we wanted or will accept.

You have

·         expanded government,

·         violated our Constitution,

·         confounded laws,

·         seized private industry,

·         destroyed jobs,

·         perverted our economy,

·         curtailed free speech,

·         corrupted our currency,

·         weakened our national security, and

·         endangered our sovereignty.

By compromising our nation’s cultural, legal and economic institutions, you are ensuring that our children will never achieve the same quality of life as we enjoy today. Through generational theft you are robbing the unborn of opportunity.

This is not acceptable. Not in America. We did not become a strong nation through hope but rather through self-reliance.

No one better understands the relationship between individual achievement, dignity and strength than our armed forces. Through every war our soldiers have held this nation’s destiny in their hands. They have not failed us. They cherish freedom enough that they are willing to die for it.

Our duty to them and to ourselves is to treasure freedom enough to live up to it.

We accept the challenge, Mr. President. That is why we are assembling across the land to deliver our message to you as often and in every way we can. Dismiss us at your political peril.

Our great nation is a Republic. We will not accept tyranny under any guise. Your policy to redistribute the fruits of our labor is Statism and will not be tolerated.

By our honor, Mr. President, we vow forever to resist coercive government in America. Patriots will not stand silent as you attempt to dismantle the greatest nation on earth. “We The People” will defend our liberty. We will protect our beloved country and America’s exceptionalism will prevail.

God Bless the United States of America!

Sincerely,

We The People
