The Virgin Birth, True or False?

Even at, and maybe especially at Christmastime the anti-Christians are on the attack. One example of this obvious and intense hatred is the www.AlterNet.org article by Valarie Tarico, "Not-So-Virgin Birth: Why Stories of Jesus Became More Magical Over Time."

I recently posted my comment to the article:
AlterNet:  Attempting to destroy the truth one lie at a time:  “… these auspicious infancy (about the virgin birth of Jesus) stories are never referenced elsewhere in the New Testament, for example in the letters of Paul or in the other two gospels that made their way into the Christian Bible.”
The thing that the progressive leftists, atheists, and secular humanists refuse to recognize about the Judeo-Christian Bible, unlike the sacred writings of other so-called faiths, is that it is inspired by God, Himself.
The only defense as to the veracity of the biblical account of Jesus’ virgin birth that I’ll offer is that which is stated by the Bible itself where Paul writes, “All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” --- 2 Timothy 3:16, 17

Pushing a Poisonous Progressive Agenda

Winning at all Costs with Lies, Deceit, and Lawlessness

Mr. Barack Obama in cahoots with his comrades in Congress, including their compromising RINO colleagues spearheaded by Mr. Speaker, and with the mid-term election behind them, is now free to move uninhibitedly on an extremist liberal action plan for America.

Following the hollowed “success” of the Affordable Care Act, here is what has happened just since the election, here’s what the President is doing on his own along with his progressive playmates in Congress.

·         Pressing forward with an unlawful, unconstitutional executive amnesty order

·         Warming up to the Cuban dictatorship [while increasingly freezing our relationship with our best friends in the Middle East, Israel)

·         Naming of an amnesty-approving head of the Department of Justice

·         Naming a soap opera star (and major Obama donor) appointed to  an important central European ambassadorship

·         Naming of a staunch pro-ObamaCare and gun-control advocate as Surgeon General

·         Nominating  Matthew “Benghazi was a Hoax” Butler for a seat on the four-person U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC). For years, as CEO Mr. Butler led George Soros bankrolled Media Matters in their relentless quest to damage the pro-liberty movement by spreading false information about targeted organizations including True The Vote...

I will be watching, tracking, and adding to this list that assures the continual and incremental destruction of our nation. With tepid opposition expected from the bashful traitor John Boehner and his kissing cousin Mitch McConnell “led” House and Senate, respectively, all we can do is work and pray for a change in leadership or a change in heart of the current leadership. Right now it’s Washington versus America, and Washington is winning…

Is a Classic Battle Brewing for 2016, Warren v. Cruz?

It seems that the strongest base of support on the Left and on the Right is rallying around two true believers in their respective ideologies. Which way would America choose if she was given two “pure” choices instead of the pretend politicians who strive to be everything to everybody, but stand for nothing? What does Hilary bring to the table? She brings a boatload of baggage beginning with her handling of Benghazi, the BenghaziGate scandal. Who can forget those infamous words, “What difference does it make?” It makes very big differences, Mrs. Rodham-Clinton, a very big difference. And what if the GOP produces another McCain, Romney, or Bush who merely mouth conservative and Republican platform ideas, but once challenged back off quicker than a roach when it sees a can of Raid coming its way? I didn’t really mean to insult cockroaches by comparing them to RINOs.

We need a fair fight of ideologies. If the Americans are once again hoodwinked by the Democrats or if they allow the Republicans to nominate another unprincipled Democrat-lite candidate, then we deserve to lose our country.

What I would be anxious to see would be legitimate battle between the fake Indian, Elizabeth Warren, versus the real Texan, Ted Cruz. It would be a real dramatic and vicious dogma fight. It would be a battle between

·         Radical Liberalism versus Patriotic Conservativism

·         Wrong versus Right

·         Evil or bad policies versus moral or good policies

·         Pink versus Red, White, and Blue

Let the electioneering begin!

Making the Best of the CRomnibus Spending Bill Fiasco, A Tea Party Perspective

The following commentary written by a leader of the Ohio Liberty Movement and the Portage County Tea Party was emailed to me over the weekend. Tom Zawistowski is a fervent patriot who wants the best for America. He has seen America decline under the current Administration and is actively involved in doing something about it. While we are right to be frustrated, and even angry, about the votes people we elected cast in the House and the Senate on the Cromnibus bill, AND the National Defense Authorization Act, it is critical that we accept that this is NOT the new Congress we elected in November. This is essentially the Congress we elected in 2010 which is still a minority in the Senate.

That being said, did we really expected them to vote any differently? Have we not been saying for over a year that we will not get the governance we seek, until we have people in those chairs casting the vote who share our values and principles?  Well a lot more of the people who share our values and principles will be taking those seats come January. Which is precisely, in my opinion, why John Boehner and Mitch McConnell were so anxious to move this bill now. All of us in Ohio owe Congressman Jim Jordan and Senator Rob Portman a thank you for going against their leadership and voting NO on the bill. Please let them know you appreciate their vote.

Now, the rest of the Ohio Republican Congressional contingent voted for the bill. They are assuring us, that "this deal is the best deal we could get" and that if we waited until January when the new Congress came in that we would not be able to get as good a deal even with 57 Senators and 239 House Members. Which I assume has to do with President Obama using his veto pen. They also are assuring us that they will still be able to stop the illegal-immigrant amnesty because of the HSA Continuing Resolution that ends in February. They are telling us that they will get rid of the medical device tax and will remove the employer mandate in Obamacare and will not provide the bailouts for Insurance Companies provided in Obamacare. All of which will kill Obamacare. We will see and we hope they are right.

They, the Republican's in Congress, and we, the conservative movement, both understand that actions will speak louder than words over the next two years. If we do not see action to stop the Obama agenda on all fronts, then we will not win the Presidency in 2016 and we will lose the Senate back to the Democrats. That is what the November election was all about - total rejection of the Obama agenda. We have given them the tools to do the job, now do the job.

Yes, we understand that President Obama will use his veto power, but his Democratic base is abandoning him as their losses mount, and we can overcome some of those vetoes depending on the issue. Mostly we must show an alternative plan to the "Nanny State" implemented by Obama and his radical regressive leftist comrades. A plan that shows how individual freedom and liberty beats state control, and creates more jobs and more prosperity for all citizens. The ball is now in our court and the future of the nation is in the balance.

Now, let me end on a positive note. First, below I highlight some things that are in the CRomnibus bill that you might like and might surprises you. Did you know that it takes away all federal spending for Common Core!!  That it removes the ban on incandescent light bulbs!!! (God only knows what things are in the Cromnibus that we don't know about because NO ONE HAD TIME TO READ IT BEFORE VOTING ON IT! But I digress . . .) Second, on my radio show next week, www.TEAPartyTalkwithTomZ.com, I will remind all of us about the amazing accomplishments we have achieved in just five years that even our most active members may have forgotten. We always talk about what is going wrong, but it is time to get some perspective and focus on some of the positives! I will do that next Wednesday. Please tune in and get a well-deserved year end pick me up!

For Liberty,
Tom Zawistowski

Things in the Cromnibus you might like!

ABORTION: The bill once again bans using federal funding to perform most abortions; blocks the use of local and federal funding for abortions in the District of Columbia; and blocks the use of federal dollars for abortions for federal prisoners. Republicans say that there's also new language directing the secretary of health and human services to ensure that consumers shopping for health-care coverage on the federal exchange can tell whether a plan covers abortion services.

AFFORDABLE CARE ACT: The law is still funded, but there's no new money for it. There's also no new ACA-related funding for the Internal Revenue Service and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the two agencies most responsible for implementing the law. The bill also would cut the budget of the Independent Payment Advisory Board -- what Republicans have called "the death panel" -- by $10 million.

AFGHANISTAN: Congress withholds funding for the Afghan government "until certain conditions are met," including implementing the bilateral security agreement reached with the United States.

CENTERS FOR DISEASE CONTROL: The agency would get more than $6.9 billion, an increase of about $42.7 million. The nation's leading disease-fighters also get $30 million to help fight Ebola (see below).

CLEAN WATER ACT: In a win for Republicans, the spending bill blocks the Environmental Protection Agency from applying the law to certain farm ponds and irrigation ditches -- a move that GOP aides said would benefit farmers.

EBOLA: Roughly $5.4 billion is provided across several agencies to combat the spread of the disease in the United States and around the world. The amount is less than the $6 billion Obama requested.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY: The agency gets $8.1 billion, down $60 million from the last fiscal year. The agency's budget has been slashed by $2.2 billion, or 21 percent, since fiscal 2010, according to GOP aides. The cuts mean that EPA will have to reduce its staffing to the lowest levels since 1989.

FEDERAL WORKER PAY (AND CONFERENCES): The bill allows a 1 percent pay raise ordered by Obama to take effect in January. And the legacy of embarrassing spending scandals at federal agencies persist as Congress once again banned or put limits on certain conferences, official travel and some employee awards.

GUANTANAMO BAY: Once again the Obama administration is banned from transferring terrorism detainees to the United States from the U.S. military facility in Cuba. There's also a ban on building or buying any facility in the U.S. to house detainees. But the bill allows for the ongoing transfer of detainees to other countries.

IMMIGRATION: The bill only funds the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees most immigration policy, until February. But negotiators gave new money for immigration programs at other federal agencies. There's $948 million for the Department of Health and Human Service's unaccompanied children program -- an $80 million increase. The program provides health and education services to the young migrants. The department also gets $14 million to help school districts absorbing new immigrant students. And the State Department would get $260 million to assist Central American countries from where of the immigrant children are coming.

INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE: One of the GOP's favorite targets will see its budget slashed by $345.6 million. The nation’s tax agency also would be banned from targeting organizations seeking tax-exempt status based on their ideological beliefs.

LIBYA: The troubled country cannot receive any U.S. aid until the secretary of state confirms the country is cooperating with ongoing investigations into the September 2012 attack at the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya.

LIGHT BULBS: The bill once again prohibits new standards that would ban the use of cheaper, less energy efficient incandescent bulbs. The proposal was first introduced and set in motion by the Bush administration, but the Obama White House allowed the change to continue, despite sustained consumer demand for older bulbs.

NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH: The nation's premier medical research agency would receive $30.3 billion, a $150 million overall increase. Democrats noted that the new funding helps especially for ongoing Alzheimer's and brain research programs.

OFFICIAL PORTRAITS: You’re a government official and want an official portrait? You'll have to pay for it (or raise the funds). The bill bans taxpayer funding for official portraits of any Executive Branch employees, lawmakers and heads of legislative agencies.

PALESTINIAN AUTHORITY: The bill stops assistance to the Palestinian Authority if it becomes a member of the United Nations or UN agencies without an agreement with Israel. It also prohibits funds for Hamas.

PENSIONS: For the first time, the benefits of current retirees could be severely cut, part of an effort to save some of the nation’s most distressed pension plans. The change would alter 40 years of federal law and could affect millions of workers; many of them part of a shrinking corps of middle-income employees in businesses such as trucking, construction and supermarkets. Read more on this here.

RACE TO THE TOP: The bill cuts funding for Obama's signature education initiative -- a big blow to his education legacy, according to The Post's Valerie Strauss. Overall, the Education Department would take a slight hit in funding; at $70.5 billion, down $133 million below the fiscal year 2014, but special education grants to states would get $25 million more than last year, up to $11.5 billion. There is also no funding for the controversial Common Core State Standards in this legislation.

SAGE-GROUSE: In a victory for the GOP, the bill would ban the Fish and Wildlife Service from adding the rare bird found in several Western states to the Endangered Species List. Republicans argue that adding the bird to the list "would have severe economic consequences on Western states and the nation’s efforts to become energy independent." But there's also $15 million for the Bureau of Land Management to conserve sage-grouse habitats.

SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM: The school lunch nutritional changes sought by First Lady Michelle Obama take a hit. The bill allows more flexibility to school districts to implement new whole grain nutrition standards "if the school can demonstrate a hardship" when buying whole grain products, according to Republicans. The bill also relaxes new sodium standards until they are "supported by additional scientific studies."

UNITED NATIONS: The perennial ban on providing money for the ongoing renovation of U.N. Headquarters in New York remains intact.

VETERANS: After a year of embarrassing scandals at the sprawling Department of Veterans Affairs, lawmakers are making good on promises to provide more money and oversight. There's a total of $159.1 billion in discretionary and mandatory spending. Of that, $209 million was added to address new costs related to the bipartisan veterans' reform bill passed last summer. The legislation calls for adding medical staff and expanding dozens of facilities. In order to specifically addressing the "wait list" scandal, the VA's inspector general is getting a $5 million budget increase to continue investigating lapses in patient care.

WHISTLEBLOWERS: The bill includes language ensuring that government contractors are not barred from reporting allegations of waste, fraud or abuse if they sign a confidentiality agreement. And the Occupational Safety and Health Administration would receive a $500,000 increase for its enforcement of existing whistleblower laws.

Tom tries to see some positive aspects of the overwhelmingly negative and hurtful spending bill. Gutless GOP leadership let down their conservative base once again. Will they ever stand up to the President and stand for the People, instead of themselves and their special interest lobbyists?

Senator Ted Cruz Chastises Colleagues on Senate Floor on 12/12/2014

Senator Ted Cruz (Real R-TX) dares once again to go against the grain – the business as usual Senate and his own party, which seeks so the status quo. In Senator Cruz’s speech last night castigated the atrocious, pork-filled, wanton Amnestying-funding CRomnibus spending bill. He blasts his fellow Congress members, the President and the entire Washington establishment.

He is one of the few voices in Washington, D.C. who is on the side of We the People! The gutsy Senator from Texas has to not only tangle with the destructive progressive-agenda-driven Democrats, he has to battle his own party’s incompetent and unprincipled leadership. He is David contending against a Goliath. We the People are the stones that must support him and his fellow true Conservatives in overcoming the evil that inhabits and motivates so much of Washington, D.C. Unfortunately Washington treats Americans as Wee-on-the-People...

Watch and learn from the YouTube video above the words and heart of a true courageous champion. Unfortunately, there are far too few of his tribe in Washington.

Boehner's Big Business Buddies Get Their CRap-Filled, CRiminal-Amnestying CRomnibus Bill

Here is a good analysis by Chris Chmielenski of NumbersUSA.com of the whys, whats, and wherefores that went into the passage of the CRap-filled CRiminal-Amnestying  CRomnibus Bill.  The GOP establishment's (Gang's) Enforcer, Speaker John Boehner, figuratively either threaten to break the knee caps of his party members who would not vote for this bill or maybe he just bribed them in order to pass his precious Amnesty to placate his big business buddies. Below, I highlighted a few of the main points of Chris' commentary on the CRomnibus surrender...

What is so sickening about this CRomnibus Bill is that it does nothing to oppose the Affordable Care Act, nor does it curtail spending. It essentially blesses the radical Mr. Obama's Progressive Agenda and the unprincipled Boehner's beloved status quo. It surrenders the only real strategic advantage (power of the purse) that the GOP had to this out-of-control would-be tyrant.  Now he has free reign to implement these two destructive measures. In addition the bill is laden with pork of all sorts. Power does corrupt, here is an excellent example.

Yesterday's news reports confirmed what we heard all afternoon from NumbersUSA members -- anti-amnesty activists flooded the Capitol's phone lines, resulting in a switchboard meltdown late in the day.
But in the end, no level of activism could overcome the shady, backroom dealing that took place last night in the House of Representatives allowing a $1.1 trillion spending bill that fully funds Obama's amnesty to limp across the finish line with bipartisan support.
When the dust settled, 67 House Republicans bucked their Party Leaders and Big Business by opposing the bill. That's a little more than one-fourth of House Republicans who stood on the side of jobless Americans and wage-earners who have suffered from stagnant wages for more than a decade.
As for the 162 Republicans and 57 Democrats who chose Corporate America and illegal aliens over middle-class workers, NumbersUSA will treat their votes as a vote for amnesty as we had promised all week.
NumbersUSA President Roy Beck said, "NumbersUSA will soon go to our network of citizens requesting new actions to overturn the Obama amnesty in the next Congress. Despite the setback in the House this week, the massive citizen pressure has forced a lot of promises from this week's "yes" voters to battle the amnesty in another form in the new year. We must do all we can to shame these U.S. Representatives into keeping their anti-amnesty promises THIS time."
HOUSE SHENANIGANS
Yesterday's floor action started with a procedural vote that would establish the rules for debate of the CRomniubs spending bill. The House Rules Committee met the night before and decided to block all amendments, including one offered by Rep. Mick Mulvaney (R-S.C.) that would have defunded Obama's amnesty.
Votes on rules typically pass with little fanfare and along party-lines, but yesterday's vote kicked off a tense afternoon on the House floor. Seventeen Republicans were prepared to vote against the rule, and by the time allotted for the vote had expired, it appeared the rule was going to be defeated, killing the massive spending bill. But GOP Leadership was able to convince two Republicans -- lame-duck Rep. Kerry Bentivolio of Michigan and Rep. Marlin Stutzman of Indiana -- to change their votes, and the rule narrowly passed, 214-to-212.
Approval of the rule kicked off about two-hours of debate. Appropriators from both parties marched to the podium asking for passage of the bill, but the mood began to change when Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi delivered a passionate floor speech against the bill. Her reasons, obviously, had nothing to do with defunding Obama's amnesty, but it was becoming more clear that the bill's fate was in trouble with mass defections among House Republicans who wanted defunding language in the bill, and Pelosi's call to Democrats to vote 'NO'.
When the debate time expired, House Leaders were expected to proceed with final passage, but instead put the House in recess indefinitely. It became evident that they didn't have enough votes to pass the bill.
For the next 6 hours, reports detailed all sorts of back-room dealings. A few reports said that Rep. Stutzman had agreed to change his 'NO' vote on the rule in exchange for Leadership pulling the bill and replacing it with a short-term continuing resolution.
Meanwhile, on the Democratic side of the aisle, Pelosi urged her Members not to give in and lose their leverage in the House, while Pres. Obama, Vice Pres. Biden, and cabinet members urged Democrats to support the bill.
Around 9 p.m., we learned that House Leaders would finally hold a vote on the bill, and if it didn't pass, they'd replace it with a short-term continuing resolution. But Speaker Boehner, Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, and GOP Whip Steve Scalise were able to twist just enough arms and offer just enough future "promises" to garner enough GOP support for the bill. It passed with a 219-to-206 margin.
WHAT NOW?
The CRomnibus spending bill now moves to the Senate where it will likely have to clear several procedural hurdles and opposition from both sides of the aisle. Anti-amnesty champions, Senators Jeff Sessions of Alabama, Ted Cruz of Texas, and Mike Lee of Utah will continue to persuade Republicans to kill the bill or insist on a provision that defunds Obama's amnesty.
In the House, moments after the vote closed, Boehner sent the following Tweet:
[B]y the House's action, we are setting up a direct challenge to the president's unilateral actions on immigration next month, when there will be new Republican majorities in both chambers.
It's difficult to believe that the man who just worked so hard to keep Obama's amnesty funded will do anything significant to stop the action, but voters can continue to pressure Republicans and their Leadership to keep their promise to mid-term voters and do everything they can to defund the President's action.
As Roy mentioned, your tremendous show of activism these last two weeks sent a clear message to all legislators that they will be watched in the next Congress, and we will hold them to their promises to defund in 2015. Should the Senate pass the House bill, the fight begins again in just a few months when the short-term funding for the Department of Homeland Security expires.
I'd like to extend a sincere thanks to all the NumbersUSA activists who took action over the last month. During this busy holiday season, I know it's not easy to set aside a few minutes each day to call Congress and send faxes, but your efforts were tremendous. Since election day, we've tracked more than 150,000 phone calls to Congress and delivered hundreds of thousands of faxes on your behalf! You helped provide a voice for millions of struggling Americans who suffer the most from Pres. Obama's executive actions and Congress' inaction.
Thanks,
chris chmielenski

John Boehner & GOP Leaders Also Want Obama's Amnesty

In the video below, as described by YouTube, "Ben Shapiro explains why establishment Republicans aren't using the power of the purse to stop Barack Obama's executive amnesty: They don't want to stop it."

The GOP Can Now Only Be Described As A Team of Looters!

Today the U.S. House of Representative under the ever compromising and traitorous eye of its inglorious Speaker John Boehner introduced a horrible bill that aims to continue to fund this obese and growing government colossus set on advancing radical leftist policies.

John Boehner: No ripple but Ripple?

Come hell or high water Speaker John Boehner is determined not to cause a ripple of resistance to the Progressive tide that is the scandal plagued Obama Administration’s agenda! Is the only ripple John knows is the kind that comes in a bottle?
Seriously, why are the Republicans betraying those who helped them win election after election not even two months ago? Are they so drunk with power now they can do whatsoever their spending-addicted little hearts desire? Why are they so easily surrendering to, and compromising with the Democrat Party elitists, who consist of radicalized ideologues like Obama? What does the GOP stand for now, besides using the power they deceptively gained and going all out to preserve the status quo? John Boehner, his RINO disciples and his gal pal San-Fran Nan Pelosi don’t give a Red Rip or a plug nickel about what the American people want, need, think, or desire.
Republicans: Losers and/or Looters
So what does the latest spending bill offered by the Republicans do?

·         Pages 958 and 959 of the 1,603-page omnibus spending bill from House Speaker John Boehner include a provision that gives Social Security benefits to illegal aliens under President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty. Read more here.

·         Fully funds departments helping those illegally crossing our borders. $948 million for HHS illegal immigrant assistance, for example. An increase of $80 million. Another $14 million goes to schools taking in illegal immigrants and State Department gets $260 million to assist central American countries where the illegals are invading from.

·         Fully funds ObamaCare.

·         Funds a pork project for ousted Republican Eric Cantor.

·         You like your mail on Saturdays? You'll keep your mail on Saturdays. The bill requires the mail service to continue six-day deliveries, despite a years-long attempt to cut back on service to save money. You can read more in the recent spending analysis of the House’s CROMNIBUS bill in this Washington Post article. Click here.

Hat tip goes to the Patriot Action Network for their special alert sent in regard to this newest challenge to our republic.

Here's Speaker John Boehner's Official Response to the President's Illegal Executive Amnesty?

Cartoon by Michael Ramirez found at TownHall.com 12/6/14
Speaker of the United States House of Representatives John Boehner clarifies the GOP's position on the President's recent illegal and unconstitutional executive amnesty order, which unilaterally changes the federal immigration laws in the above cartoon.

Why? Is he beholden to K-Street lobbyists or what?

Am I a Fascist or a Conservative?

In a "conversation" I am having with a commenter on AlterNet.org that person called me a fascist. Here is how I responded to him or her:

Fascism - "a political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation (THE STATE) and often race ABOVE THE INDIVIDUAL and that stands for a CENTRALIZED AUTOCRATIC government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation (REGULATIONS), and forcible suppression of opposition." This sounds more like the progressive thinking, policy, and agenda to me.

Conservatism - "a political philosophy based on tradition and social stability, stressing established institutions, and preferring gradual development to abrupt change; specifically : such a philosophy calling for LOWER TAXES, LIMITED government regulation of business and investing, a strong national defense, and INDIVIDUAL financial responsibility for personal needs (as retirement income or health-care coverage)."

You err when you call me a fascist. I am proudly a conservative.
