McDonald's: "We're Lovin' Homosexuality"
The McDonald's logo is featured on the website of the National (Homosexual)
.
According to a recent WorldNetDaily.com (WND) news article the mega junk food pusher McDonald's had responded negatively to the American Family Association's (AFA) request for McDonald's to stay neutral in the culture war. The call for the boycott was made after McDonald's chose to side with the radical homosexual agenda in the culture war and refused to renege on that decision.
WND cited McDonald's terse response to WND's inquiry about McDonald's involvement with the homosexual group, "McDonald's is indeed a Corporate Partner and Organizational Ally of NGLCC. Our vice president of U.S. communications, Richard Ellis, was recently elected to its board of directors," said the brief statement to WND from Heidi M. Barker, senior director of media relations."
McDonald's also quickly returned fire in this latest culture war skirmish. One McDonald's official said that those who oppose homosexuality for religious reasons are participating in "hate." Imagine that, apparently only political correct and not Biblical stands are acceptable to the maker of family friendly happy meals.
"WND reported, "Hatred has no place in our culture," corporate spokesman Bill Whitman told the Washington Post in response to a campaign by the American Family Association for a boycott of the burger-and-fries outlets because of the corporation's advocacy for the homosexual lifestyle.
""That includes McDonald's, and we stand by and support our people to live and work in a society free of discrimination and harassment," Whitman said. "Throwing out any pretense of being neutral in the culture war, McDonald's has taken up the rhetoric of (homosexual) activists, suggesting those who oppose same-sex marriage (SSM) are motivated by hate," the AFA said in a new alert about its campaign today. . ."
I guess it is okay to discriminate against, harass, accuse of hatred and belittle Christians and Bible-believers, who dare to speak the truth about homosexuality, though.
TAKE ACTION
Please stop supporting the McDonald's Restaurant chain until they stop their active support of the unnatural, unhealthy, immoral and abnormal same-sex and alternative lifestyles. Sign the AFA petition at http://www.BoycottMcDonalds.com/

Christian M.I.A.s
You can also read a very in-depth analysis of the current state of the church in the world today, which really makes you think. The song speaks for itself.
Missing in Action
All around the battle rages,
You can’t escape the sound,
From the back roads of this country
To the streets of our hometown.
In the courts and in the classrooms
On the jobs you work today,
War has been declared
Against the old time Christian way.
The church is under siege
The saints, misunderstood,
The Bible is under fire,
And evil triumphs over good.
Sin is marching through the land
To plunder, rob and steal,
While half the army of the Lord
Avoids the battlefield.
Chorus
Missin’ in action, missin’ in action,
This army of Christian M.I.A.s
While they say they love the Lord,
But they never draw the sword.
They’ll talk of right,
But they won’t fight.
These Christian M.I.A.s.
Church bells ring and choirs sing,
It’s Sunday meetin’ time
We sing Onward Christian Soldiers
And Keep on the Firing Line.
Ah, but then comes Monday morning
What a difference one day makes
The mighty host of yesterday
Can’t be found today.
Chorus
Missin’ in action, missin’ in action,
This army of Christian M.I.A.s,
Ah, they say they love the Lord
But they never draw the sword.
They’ll talk of right,
But they won’t fight.
These Christian M.I.A.s.
They’ll talk of right,
But they won’t fight.
These Christian M.I.A.s.

The State of the American Culture
The Columbus (Ohio) Dispatch regularly asks its online readers questions, or some timely topic of the day. Usually the questions are inane. However, yesterday they had a serious and very poignant and critical question. Here is their question and my reply.

The Hot Issue: Do you think the country is moving in the right direction?
gregjaye: No. Absolutely not.
Ever since the 60s the country has taken an ominous turn leftward. Liberalism, secular humanism and Marxism now permeate our schools, churches, political parties, main stream media, and entertainment. Our country is regressing back to a time when pagan, savage Native Americans were worshipping nature, their ancestors, etc.
Environmentalist extremists, feminists and radical same-sex advocates along with their liberal elite brothers and sisters in academia, politics, business, government and religion have teamed up to push such leftist causes as the homosexual agenda, abortion (the right of women to murder their babies for any reason any time), protection of pornographers and moral relativism.
The radical left, with the aid of organizations like the contemptible and un-American American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) adamantly seeks to protect the free speech rights of child pornographers, but simultaneously and aggressively stifle anyone who tries to honor, or even acknowledge the person, Jesus, in public.
Surely this leftward turn, which is really a downward spiral or path or self-destruction, is not progress. The further we stray from the nation our founders built, the closer we are to extinction.
You can see the affect the leftward drift or shift of our culture on our schools and children most dramatically.
Our schools have borne the brunt, or have been the “beneficiaries” of this leftward slide or attack. Look at our failing schools, which have become virtual indoctrination centers for all of the vilest influences that could be foisted on a culture or on children. Here are some of the leftward trends or influences: the substitution of accepting all forms of immorality and condoms (Planned Parenthood philosophy) for virtue and abstinence in sex education (traditional family values); substituting moral relativism or situational ethics for absolute right and wrong; substituting worship of the creature and creation rather than the Creator; substituting a politically correct “tolerance” instead of respect for authority, discipline and standards; and substituting social engineering and experimentation for basic education needed to prepare our children for the high tech 21st century world.
Is there any wonder why some are calling for a mass exodus of students from government schools? Why some urge parents to find alternative ways to educate their children at home or in private schools? What true Chrsitian concerned parent, for instance, would want their child to attend a public school in California today?

Saving Sarah Cain (2007)

Saving Sarah Cain depicts a clash of two worlds. The life of a busy single female newspaper writer is interrupted when she learns she “inherited” her sisters five children. However, the twist is that these children are practicing Amish. Her sister, before she died, left a written request that Sarah take responsibility for the children. Their father had previously died in a buggy accident. The fun begins when Sarah takes the kids from their Pennsylvania home to her apartment in Portland, Oregon. It is reminiscent of the Tarzan movie where Tarzan goes from the jungle to the city and is awestruck by the world around him.
The clash of worldviews, the Amish versus the “English” or modern American life illustrates a deeper culture clash between the Godless secular society that so typifies America today and the American culture based on Judeo-Christian values, of which only a seeming remnant exists today. Our Forefathers would not recognize the predominate degraded and depraved culture which is America today.
You could say that Saving Sarah Cain is a parable of the man-centered self-serving culture so prevalent in America in 2008 versus the parallel culture, which is sometimes viewed as a subculture, the one based on the Judeo-Christian worldview. This traditional culture is the one that has been bequeathed to us by our ancestors, which we have allowed to become corrupt through our great apathy, indifference and compromise.
Sarah Cain has to face the reality of the comparative purity of the children’s Amish culture and the self-centered nature of her own culture. We as a people must also do this, to face the reality of what it means to be American as it has been defined throughout the years beginning with our nations founding. We need to return a more pure, wholesome culture of virtue and character. We need to turn from and reject our materialistic, self-centeredness and begin to really care about others more than our selves.
This movie has great lessons for us today. I am not saying that the Amish life is the ideal, although the simplicity and close meaningful relationships that seem to be fostered are missing in much of our lives in the rat race of living in which we all are a part to some degree.
RATING
I would rate this movie a ***** out of ***** for its excellent portrayal of one typical American citizens suddenly thrown a curve ball, which they have never had to swing at or experience prior. We see the true nation and character of Sarah by the end of the movie. One person who viewed the film said the movie made her cry. It was a tear-jerker in parts. It had a few good laughs. You could really begin to get a feel for both cultures.
I would recommend the purchase of this movie to anyone. At least rent it and enjoy a couple of hours of wholesome entertainment.
It was especially meaningful for me because I lived in Amish Country for several years and learned to appreciate and respect the simple ways of the plain people.

Culture Clash
Needed: Cuture WarriorsIn fact, I would say most academic and political elitists in our nation would concur with Humanist John Dunphy’s assessment that Christian faith is a “rotting corpse” that must be replaced with a new faith, Humanism. So where is the “tolerance” and understanding Mr. Dunphy, my man?
As Jesus Christ once greatly sacrificed Himself for a greater purpose – the provision of a way for mankind to be reconciled to God, we too must be willing to make sacrifices for greater causes and purposes. One area, for example, is that we need to recover the ground which has been lost to the Humanist priests and priestesses that now dictate how and what is taught to our children and to counteract the radical left’s infringement on many other areas of society.
I received a book for Christmas from my sister. The title of the book is The Man God Uses written by Henry and Tom Blackaby. In glancing through the book I found on page 145 a startling list. What follows below is this list of differences between the Secular Humanist way of thinking compared to a Biblical way of thinking. It puts into clear focus what might be seem to be good and that which is best. They say, “The good is the enemy of the best."
WAYS OF THINKING OR DIFFERING WORLDVIEWS
HUMANIST: ..................................BIBLICAL:
Pride is important.......................Humility is essential
Hitch your wagon to a star………………Jesus is Lord
Success……………………………………........Obedience
Professionalism………………………………..Servanthood
Competition……………………………………..Service
Maintain your rights…………………………Give all your rights to God
Negotiate for the best deal…………..……Obey God’s commands
Excellence………………………………………. Christlikeness
Save your life…………………………………...Lose your life for My sake
Affirm self………………………………………..Deny self
Accomplishments…………………………….Character
You don’t have to take that……………...Take up your cross
Live to die………………………………………..Die to live
Rule and be served………………………….Serve in order to rule
Things will make you happy…………….Godly character brings joy
Walk by sight…………………………………Walk by faith
Set long-range goals………………………...God reveals the future
Take the initiative……………………………Let God take the initiative
Get revenge……………………………………..Do good to your persecutors
Eat, drink, and be merry………………….Seek first the kingdom of God
When one looks at a list such as the one above, a sharp contrast can be seen. One view is based and centered on man and his reasoning abilities and what is ultimately good for him. The other view is centered on God and an ultimate purpose that transcends this temporal life. A closer analysis of the Biblical perspective or viewpoint shows some stark paradoxes that may not even be comprehended by mere human intelligence. For example, “Do good to those who persecute you,” which is not very logical. “Strike back and even the score with those you persecute you" or "Sue them, at least” would be a more rational response. Man was designed by God to live on higher plane than the monkey or the frog. God expects more from us. He also realizes that apart from the provision of Jesus and our need to personally accept Him as Reconciler and Redeemer, we cannot live consistently beyond the Humanist or a materialistic worldview.

Avoid seeing The Golden Compass movie this weekend or ever!
. The Golden Compass is a culture-destroyer. The Golden Compass is a spirit-corrupter. It is a vital example of the biblical injunction:
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
- - - The King James Bible
See my previous articles, WARNING: The Golden Compass Movie Is Hazardous To Family Values and The Golden Compass (2007) Leads Nowhere, in regard to this awful movie.
See the uplifting and wholesome Enchanted movie if you want to see a good movie this weekend.

American Youth & the Pursuit of Happiness

The poll asked the question of over a thousand young persons aged 13-24 “What makes you happy?”
They conjectured, “A worried, weary parent might imagine the answer to sound something like this: Sex, drugs, a little rock 'n' roll. Maybe some cash, or at least the car keys.”
They discovered that the true response to what makes young people happy is a lot different from that which we would expect to hear. The following is a list of what makes young persons happiest.
HAPPINESS IS ...
1. (20% said) spending time with family was the top answer.
2. spending time with friends
3. spending time with a significant other. Overall, romantic relationships are a source of happiness - but being in one doesn't necessarily lead to greater happiness with life in general.… Eventually, though, marriage is a goal for most young people, with 92 percent saying they either definitely or probably want to get married.
4. Nearly 75% of young people say their relationship with their parents makes them happy … "They're my foundation," says Kristiana St. John, 17, a high-school student from Queens in New York. "My mom tells me that even if I do something stupid, she's still going to love me no matter what. Just knowing that makes me feel very happy and blessed."
OTHER FINDINGS
Stresses & Fears: Young people in this survey had a 10 percent higher stress rate than adults did in a 2006 AP-Ipsos poll … Only 29 percent feel very safe traveling, and 25 percent very safe from terror attacks…
Money: Money may make the world go around, but when asked what one thing makes them happiest, almost nobody in the poll mentioned money or anything material. Still, money does play a role in happiness. Those who can't afford to buy many of the things they want are less happy with life in general. Just under half of young people think they'd be happier if they had more money, while the same percentage (49 percent) say they'd be just as happy.
Drugs & Alcohol: Alcohol users are slightly less happy than those who don't drink. The differences are more remarkable among 13-17 year olds; just 40 percent of those who drank in the last seven days reported being happy with life, versus 68 percent of those who didn't. And 49 percent of illegal drug users reported being happy with life, compared with 66 percent of those who didn't use drugs.Racial Divide: While 72 percent of whites say they're happy with life in general, just 56 percent of blacks and 51 percent of Hispanics say that…
Soul Food: …More than half - 55 percent - say (religion and spirituality) is either a very important part of life or the single most important thing in their lives.
Heroes: . . . nearly half mentioned one of their parents, with mothers ranking higher (29 percent) than fathers (21 percent.) . . . Also mentioned: God (more than 10 percent), teachers (nearly 5 percent); and members of the military, policemen and firefighters. The Future: Will young people grow up to be happy adults? Overall they're optimistic: Sixty-two percent think they'll be happier in the future than they are now. (Those over 18 are more optimistic.) But many anticipate a more difficult life than their parents had.
CONCLUSION & COMMENTS
I was heartened by the results shown in this poll. It is encouraging to see that despite the constant assault on our culture, on its basic values and principles by the leftist including the academic, media and entertainment elite and many so-called religious and political leaders, many young people still have their heads on somewhat straight. Relationship with family, others and God surfaced as more important than money, drugs, alcohol or sex. Most young people look forward to marriage (hopefully with partners of the opposite sex!) and the future. Young folk get it despite the overbearing influence of many immature or corrupt adults.

Gotta Get Out and Vote
The Culture Changers
I heard a troubling, but believable, statistic on the radio today. What I heard was that the minuscule moneyed minority made up of homosexual and lesbian activists and their supporters or "visible voters" voted as a block in 2006 at a rate of 90%, while evangelical conservatives or "values voters" participation dropped by 30% from what it was in the 2004 election. That is one reason the Democrats won many of the close elections last year. That is one of the reasons why Eureka Springs, Arkansas (which some claim is the most homosexual-friendly location in the South) and San Diego, California (where heterosexual firefighters recently were forced to participate in a homosexual perversity parade riding in their fire engines while on duty) have homosexual-friendly, homosexual-accommodating political leaders. The values voters went to sleep. The values voters were apathetic.
It is important that Christians begin to become active culture-changers like the radical homosexual activists. We can use the homosexuals as a model in this regard. They are willing to commit their lives and their resources to their cause, as ignoble as theirs may be.
The causes advocated by most Christian conservatives, such as the sanctity of life and marriage are usually diametrically opposed to the homosexual-lesbian culture change movement. Actually they are opposed in every way, like black and white or good versus evil. But you must say homosexuals do not take “no” for an answer, they are exceedingly loud, they are highly influential beyond their limited numbers, they are extremely unrelenting and they are absolutely committed to their objectives and agenda albeit terribly wrong.
Homosexual activists and their supporters are just as much revolutionaries and harmful to our culture as were Che Guevara, Fidel Castro, Mao Tse Tung or any of a number of other freedom and culture destroyers were in their countries and to their cultures. Conservative Christians must become equally involved in the culture by making increasing forays onto the battlefield of the cultural war. We must engage the enemy on all fronts. We must not only stem the progress of the homosexual cultural terrorists, but we must recapture ground lost in past decades if we ever hope to restore the principles and values of our Founding Fathers We have allowed these principles and values to be trampled upon by the radical left characterized by the decadent movements of the pro-abortionists and pro-homosexuals.
Wholesale, unequivocal acceptance of homosexuality including “civil unions” and same-sex “marriage” is not a civil rights issue at all, it is strictly an issue of morality. There is a clear set of absolute principles and precepts which govern mankind and which were established and provided by the God who created the universe. The left has intense disdain for any moral absolutes. They accept only moral relativism or situational ethics. This to them is freedom. However, our founders recognized and adhered to laws, principles and values to insure true freedom. We must also recognize these laws, principles and values once again and hold them in the same esteem as our forefathers did.
