Is President Trump a Patriot?

AlterNet is a far-leftist website, which posted the following article yesterday (Monday), "Trump's Phony Patriotism With the Radical Roots of America the Beautiful and the Pledge of Allegiance."

My initial response to this provocative article was:
Which is worse, my leftist friends, "Phony Patriotism" or Being Unpatriotic?
I received two responses, one from Hughie the Sailor, who commented:
That is such an emotionally charged and politically loaded term: "patriotism." Americans use it more than you claim that Canadians say "sorry". What do you mean by "patriot"?”

I then made the following comments, which were apparently censored by the website administrators, because I did not see them after I submitted them:

My first response (apparently deleted):
    pa·tri·ot ˈpātrēət/
noun

a person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors.
It seems to me that President Trump in his stated quest "To Make   America Great Again" personifies what it means to be patriotic. Mr. Trump ·       wants to put America first;·       wants to carefully and completely vet Muslims coming from Islam-inspired terrorist harboring countries;·       wants to secure our borders by building an impenetrable wall;·       wants to rebuild and strengthen our military to better defend our country;·       respects our veterans;·       rejects political correctness that has weakened our country;·       respecting the Constitution with appointment of a SCOTUS justice who is doesn't believe that it is a 'living' constitution that can be changed at the whim of the court;·       wants to control spending and minimize debt ...
To me this part of what it means to be patriotic.
My second response (apparently deleted, too):

I quoted Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower who said, “We must never confuse honest dissent with disloyal subversion.”

Trumps First 100 Day Do List, A Progressive and a Conservative Viewpoint

Here is my response to the AlterNet article, "16 Worst Things We Can Expect From Trump's First 100 Days Real damage awaits as Trump and the GOP take power, referred to below.

"Except for Number 9, which I would substitute with the following, "Protect the freedom to express one's religious beliefs by abolishing the hateful vile Obama Administration's transvestite and homosexual condoning mandates in our schools and in the military," I would concur with the most of list that the author outlines. This is an excellent list for President-elect to follow and to implement in his first 100 day. There is much that needs to be reversed from the previous 8 years...

"Refusing to participate in or in committing an abortion by a physician or nurse, to pray anywhere, to celebrate Christmas in public, to have the freedom NOT to participate in a same-sex "marriage" without penalty of the law are a clear expression of a true Christ-follower's right and freedom of conscience. Sexual perversion should never trump freedom of religious expression/belief."

I added some comments to the list outlined by the article's author following the quote:

America’s system of political checks and balances may vanish in the first 100 days of a Donald Trump presidency and Republican-run Congress. Facing no restraints other than protests they can ignore, Republicans driven by far right-wing ideologies, partisan score-settling and fealty to corporate America may seek to erase all traces of the Obama years and reset the political and judicial stage for years to come.

It’s not just Trump’s draconian campaign pledges that stand to be initiated or imposed. House tea partiers who have been obstructing and investigating the Obama administration for years and Senate Republican leaders who put their party’s interests before the nation by blocking jobs bills, infrastructure bills and Supreme Court nominees, now feel vindicated.

Let’s go through 16 worst-case scenarios that could mark Trump’s first 100 days.

1. Special prosecutor targets Hillary Clinton
. This goes beyond the chants of “lock her up” at Trump rallies. During the debates, Trump said that Hillary Clinton deserved to be in jail, and many House Republicans were fuming that the FBI announced her use of a private email server didn’t warrant a Justice Department prosecution. The House, and the U.S. attorney general, both have the power to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate any government officials for misconduct in office. Will they?  read more.

A BRAND NEW AGENDA, GOOD OR BAD?

"1. Special prosecutor targets Hillary Clinton..." Do a comprehensive investigation of Secretary Hillary Clinton if Obama has not "pardoned" her before he leaves office, or if she has not fled the country.

"2. Scalia clone to Supreme Court..." Or, appoint a true conservative justice who will interpret and not make laws, which is a function reserved for Congress.

"3. Scuttle international treaties..." Or, revisit all treaties to see which need to be renegotiated to be fair to America.

"4. Climate change denial actions..." Or, employ true science and reason in the debate that alleges man-causes massive climate change. Expose the hoax.

"5. Roll the clock back on abortion..." Better yet, how about ending abortion? End the savage child abuse and genocide once and for all? Oh, and completely defund Planned Parenthood. Stop subsidizing this abortion giant. Abortions are 1/3 of what they do.

"6. Sign a law repealing Obamacare..." Or, repeal and replace this onerous law enacted by deceit.

"7. Repeal Obama’s immigration orders..." Return to the notice of enforcing existing immigration laws, not turning a blind eye to the massive entry of illegals over our border and those who overstay their visas.

"8. Start building a Mexico border wall..." In other words, begin to do whatever is necessary to secure our borders. Let Border Agents do their jobs.

"9. Normalize bullying and hate crimes..." Since when is expressing ones sincere religious beliefs "bullying" and "hate"? Truth is indeed hate to those who hate the truth!

"10. Repeal other Obama executive orders..." Restore separation of powers, which Obama grossly overreached.

"11. Pre-empt the pot laws passed by states..." Again, how about following the laws on the books. There are provisions to change the law, federal or state. Let's not take short-cuts to implement more perversity.

"12. Loosen gun controls nationwide..." How about protecting gun rights instead of implementing gun-control and gun-free zones? How about going after the real culprits, the drug cartels and gangs who own illegal guns?

"13. Roll back consumer protections..." How about loosening regulations and letting the market work?

"14. Start the privatization bandwagon..." How about having the government concentrate on its enumerated powers and responsibilities - like national securtiy - and back off of everything else? Let the states and individuals and the market work.

"15. Cut taxes, increase military spending..." What a novel idea! Cut taxes to boost the economy. Increase military readiness in anticipation of what our enemies may try to do.

"16. Bomb ISIS and increase foreign wars..."  How about playing to win? Untie the hands of our military to prosecute any conflict in which we are involved.

CONCLUSION

The AlterNet author unknowingly outlines a good initial list of what the President Trump Administration should do to correct the vast mistakes of the past 8 years... He has a real challenge. He needs our support and prayers to accomplish this list and more!

Ted Cruz, A Bigger Danger than Donald Trump, Really?

I saw an article today published by the radical leftist website, AlterNet. I was intrigued by the title, "5 Reasons Ted Cruz Is Even More Dangerous Than Donald Trump, Both men would be disasters for America, but Cruz would be the bigger disaster." I have disagreed with almost everything I have ready by the author, Robert Reich.

The following is an excerpt from the article,
1. He’s more fanatical. Trump is a bully and bigot but doesn’t hew to any sharp ideological line. Cruz is a fierce ideologue: He denies the existence of man-made climate change, rejects same-sex 'marriage', wants to abolish the Internal Revenue Service, believes the 2nd amendment guarantees everyone a right to guns, doesn’t believe in a constitutional divide between church and state, favors the death penalty, opposes international agreements, embraces a confrontational foreign policy, rejects immigration reform, demands the repeal of “every blessed word of Obamacare,” and takes a strict “originalist” view of the meaning of the Constitution.
You can read the entire article for yourself by clicking here. Here are my comments which I made on AlterNet to the article:

Robert "You're Almost Never" Reich, here is what I think…

1. Surprisingly your description of Senator Ted Cruz in your first point is fairly accurate and exactly my position as well. However, you claim that Sen. Cruz "rejects immigration reform." More accurately, he rejects amnesty if that is what you call "immigration reform." Unlike the current occupier of the White House Sen. Cruz will enforce the current immigration laws, secure our borders, crackdown on illegals overstaying their visas , etc ... Reform comes later.

2. You state that Sen. Cruz "detests the federal government." No, he opposes the Washington Cartel, the amalgamation of politicians on both side of the aisle which are tied to crony capitalists joined at the hip to lobbyists, the Chamber of Commerce, all working in tandem for an ever-expanding federal government and bureaucracy. He opposes the federal government doing more than the constitution’s enumerated powers… He opposes the increasing deficit and national debt triggered in large part by the largesse of the federal government.

5. You make the crazy assertion that Sen. Cruzis a loner who’s willing to destroy institutions.” On the contrary he is adamant about protecting and preserving the Constitution, Religious Liberty, the sanctity of the institution of marriage, Gun Rights, the Rule of Law, the intact natural family…

You seem to disparage Sen. Cruz saying, “Most of his Republican colleagues in the Senate detest him.” I mark this as a badge of courage. He has principles that he is unwilling to relinquish. The Democrats and the RINOs in the Senate perpetuate an entrenched status quo. Yes, Sen. Cruz bucks the system. The system needs a swift kick!

I do agree with you Mr. Reich that Trump would be a disaster. Like President Obama, Trump would be an unmitigated disaster. However, Senator Cruz, on the other hand, would be an instrument of renewal, resurgence of American exceptionalism and an antidote for the perversity governance both political parties have foisted upon us these past 8 to 10 years.

The Virgin Birth, True or False?

Even at, and maybe especially at Christmastime the anti-Christians are on the attack. One example of this obvious and intense hatred is the www.AlterNet.org article by Valarie Tarico, "Not-So-Virgin Birth: Why Stories of Jesus Became More Magical Over Time."

I recently posted my comment to the article:
AlterNet:  Attempting to destroy the truth one lie at a time:  “… these auspicious infancy (about the virgin birth of Jesus) stories are never referenced elsewhere in the New Testament, for example in the letters of Paul or in the other two gospels that made their way into the Christian Bible.”
The thing that the progressive leftists, atheists, and secular humanists refuse to recognize about the Judeo-Christian Bible, unlike the sacred writings of other so-called faiths, is that it is inspired by God, Himself.
The only defense as to the veracity of the biblical account of Jesus’ virgin birth that I’ll offer is that which is stated by the Bible itself where Paul writes, “All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” --- 2 Timothy 3:16, 17

Katha Pollitt New Book PROmotes Abortion!

PRO-Death: The PROgressive PROmotion of Abortion

It has been a while since I read and responded to an AlterNet.org article. Well today an article about a new book, "Katha Pollitt: Ending a Pregnancy Is a Common, Normal Event in Women's Lives—Let's Talk About It That Way ...We need to see abortion as an urgent practical decision that is just as moral as the decision to have a child," raised by ire. You can see by the title of the article why it might offend a pro-life person. There can be no justification whatsoever for most abortions. However, the progressives treat abortion as a sacred sacrament, a rite. See my comments below. First to the article itself, and second to a commenter who claimed that "Abortion is green." What foolishness.

The author, Katha Pollitt, claims, "We need to talk about ending a pregnancy as a common, even normal, event in the reproductive lives of women..." Say what?

Is it???

No matter how you say it or dress it up by calling it .... "choice" ... "ending a pregnancy" ... "terminating a pregnancy" ... "a reproductive right" ... the fact is that heinous act is still an abortion. It is still murder. It is not normal. Actually abortion is one of the most, if not the most cruel, vile, and inhumane act one human being can commit on another human being. It rivals only the beheading of post-born human beings who refuse to submit to Islamic statist or terrorist ultimatums!

Taking the life of an innocent, defenseless unborn baby may be common, but only because a few ill informed activist judges invented a so-called "right" that is found no where in the U. S. Constitution.

Is it normal? is child abuse, normal? Is rape, normal? Is murder, normal? is theft normal? No, abortion is the unnatural taking of life of a human being prior to birth.

This new book, PRO: Reclaiming Abortion Rights, described in this article is more of the same lies that emanate from the minds and hearts of deceived, if not cold-blooded, heartless, progressives.

AND

No, my friend, ABORTION IS RED. Red for the blood of an innocent life spilled usually for selfish reasons!

AND

Robbie, my argument is not whining it is winning. With abortion, we are talking about a matter of life and death. You were once a pre-born (fetus, clump of tissues, or whatever else you want to call the unborn) human being.

Islam and Progressives Conspire: Israel Bad, Hamas Good

I needed to respond to another fact-less and atrocious article of that leftist propaganda media, AlterNet. The article by Max Blumenthal titled, "How Israel Used Its Own Civilians as Human Shields While Assaulting Gaza, Israel's military is enmeshed in civilian society," begs for a comment. So here I go:

Max, my friend, get your facts straight.

I will attempt to interpret some of your words:

* Max says, “Ongoing assault on the Gaza Strip,” but the truth is, Israel is just defending herself.

* Max accuses Israel of having, “a heavily regimented army of 10,000 public relations flacks,” but the truth is it is that Islamic and Leftist media, including AlterNet writers like Max, try to portray Israel as the aggressor, the bad guy, the little Satan. But the real flacks are the Obama Administration including John Kerry, ABC, NBC, NPR, and CBS who defend the terrorist Hamas led Palestinians!

* Max contends, “Gaza fighters were exclusively targeting active duty Israeli military personnel and avoiding attacks on civilians.” But the truth is, Israel is better able to protect itself and its citizens from the Islamic terrorist inspired and lead assault on Israel. If Hamas could kill all Jews they would.

It all boils down to this one simple fact:

"If the Arabs put down their weapons there would be no more war. If Israel put down her weapons, there would be no Israel." --- Benjamin Netanyahu, Prime Minister of Israel.

Know Hamas, no Hamas.

Is Burger King's 'Homosexual/Lesbian' Promoting Rainbow Wrapper Harmless?

The author of a recent article that appears on the radically leftist website, AlterNet.com entitled, " Seven Silly Things Right-Wingers Got Angry About Last Week," contends:

* Condoning and promoting homosexuality is HARMLESS...

* Perverting the institution of marriage and undermining the cultural foundation of the family via same-sex 'marriage' is HARMLESS...

* Being concerned about the health risks and hazards being introduced with the invasion of illegal aliens and their accompanying physical, mental and vast health issues into this country is HARMLESS... not to mention the HARMLESS tattooed drug-infested gang members and Islamic terrorists who are also slithering into America preparing to reek havoc on the legal citizens and foundations of America...

* The foolish embracing and ignoring the mind numbing, mind-killing, life-altering and intoxicating affect of marijuana on children and people by the efforts of activists in Colorado and other states it is HARMLESS...

This article is outrageous and the ideas manifested therein are extremely foolish and gravely HARMFUL to us all...

After I placed the above comment to the article on the AlterNet website the following comment was made and I responded...

"No one is "promoting" homosexuality."

Huh!

I disagree with you, Mr. "Ignore the Truth."

Both the Burger King Corporation and the AlterNet article author are propagandizing how innocent and innocuous homosexual behavior is. It is not without harmful consequences to those involved and to society as a whole. For one thing, my tax dollars have to fund the health care consequences of many of those who partake in this deviant behavior... Our schools, too, shamefully are embracing and promoting it as a normal and natural alternative. It is not.

The author further tries to show or justify how un-hurtful the unlawful illegal invasion is, and as well as negligently ignoring any downside of the use of marijuana for recreational purposes.

Comment on Those Who Reject the Truth About America and Science

The  online Leftist website, Alternet.com, posted an article titled, "5 Christian Right Delusions and Lies About History, They're not just delusional about science!" The author is Amanda Marcotte, who is obviously a very biased liberal. I refute her five points in my comments to her inaccurate and deceptive article. I post those comments here:

Isn’t it ironic, the Left calls what is evil, good and what is good, evil! author Amanda has the gall to write that Christians perpetrate lies. Sorry Amanda, you are obviously missing one factor, the truth, in the drivel you spew.

1.   Joe McCarthy was a patriot and a hero. He called a communist a communist! How dare he expose the fact that Communists were infiltrating the government! Are you blind dear Amanda?

2.   Most of America’s founders believed in God and were Christ-followers. To claim otherwise is itself revisionist. Only a few of the founders were not Christians, but were Deists, yet they too concurred with the majority that religion and religious values were fundamental to this new nation. Many escaped from the persecution rampant in Europe at the time. The leftist definition of diversity and the perverted concept of political correctness were never the values of this nation. Most founders rejected slavery.

3.   God has blessed America since its inception because she wittingly or unwittingly followed biblical principles and standards.
That blessing is being removed as we reject what God approves. We have removed Him, prayer and the Bible from our schools. We have ‘legalized’ the murder of innocent babies to the tune of 50+ million since 1973. We have gone into debt to the tune of $17 trillion. We are encouraging the normalization and acceptance of homosexuality and the perversion of marriage by granting ‘marriage’ certificates to homosexual and lesbian couples.
With the outright rejection of God’s standards we will surely become a third world nation, which is the transformation that our President apparently is carrying out. That is, if we even survive as a nation!

4.   It was when the Roman civilization embraced the welfare mentality and sexual immorality including homosexuality as a ‘normal, natural, healthy’ lifestyle that finally toppled that once ‘great’ nation.

5.   The French Revolution was godless and secular. The American Revolution was God-honoring, and biblical based.

The author implies in her article's title that Christians are deluded in regard to science and not only in regard to America's history. I take umbrage with this false  accusation as well. Let's look at three of the topics with which most secularists and most true Christ-followers disagree: Life, Evolution, and Global Warming.

The consensus among so-called secular scientists is that life begins when the baby takes its first breath, evolution is the sole accepted basis for the origins of life, and global warming is man-caused. On the other hand, most true Christ-followers and many conservatives believe that life begins at conception, that evolution is just a theory and that Creationism or Intelligent Design is just as reasonable and believable (if not even more so) an explanation of origins than that flawed theory of evolution, and that global warming is not solely caused by man, but is mostly a natural phenomenon.

GRABBING THE GUNS OF THE WRONG PEOPLE

Here is what Don Hazen, Executive Editor of the ultra-liberal online leftist red rag AlterNet, wrote recently to his low information readers (that is if their primary source of information is AlterNet!). The title of his briefing was "America's Gun and Violence Crisis." To the Left, they never want a good crisis go to waste. Sometimes they will even invent one is there isn't one. Here is a paragraph from his briefing that blames the NRA for Sandy Hook.

The NRA Problem
With the mass murders, it is the NRA that is most culpable. The NRA has been transformed from an organization primarily about gun safety to one taken over by gun zealots. The NRA protects the ability of virtually anyone to get their hands on guns, even the most powerful assault weapons like those used in recent killings. This is in stark contrast to the rest of the developed world. For the NRA, "freedom" is now defined as the ability to carry a concealed handgun virtually anyplace.

What about the godless, corrupt secular humanistic (unconstitutional) state religion which has replaced true Judeo-Christian values, virtues, principles and practices in our government schools? Doesn’t the Constitution say something about the government establishing a religion?

What about the unenforced immigration laws and our unsecured borders allowing guns and illegals to enter this country in droves? What about our government's Fast and Furious attempt to besmirch gun as an excuse to control guns. Some of them are even Islamic Terrorists?

What about gangs that roam our streets, who don’t bother registering or obeying existing gun laws, or any other laws for that matter?

What about the foolish bleeding heart liberal idea of sweeping the institutionalized and dangerous mentally ill out of mental hospitals and into our streets free to act out their violent impulses without restraint?

What about the innumerable amount of Hollywood produced films and television programs that glamorize the most vile and violent filth corrupting the minds of teens and adult audiences alike?

What about the music industry’s gangster inspired music that glorifies the violent, perverted nature of man? And what about the radio stations and MTV that proliferate this garbage?

What about corrupting influence of groups and organizations like the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) who protect and promote pornographers and other odious elements of society against the upright and righteousness?

Mr. Hazen you blame the NRA? All they want to do is to protect the God-given right each American has to protect themselves with their weapon of choice. Why do you insist on punishing law-abiding citizens while ignoring the real causes? The root causes are: criminal or culture-killing elements like gangs, gangster rap, bloody movies and TV, wrong public policy dealing with the mentally ill, culture corrupters like the ACLU and Freedom from Religion Foundation?

You want to blame the gun, the ‘assault’ rifle, bullets, clips, magazines, but you ignore the real causes.

Gun violence is a huge problem for our society and a top editorial priority for AlterNet.

You say gun violence is a huge problem. It is the person or persons causing the gun violence that is/are the problem. It is the environment, the milieu, the culture. It is not the guns. It will not help by disarming law-abiding citizens, regardless of what their weapon of choice is.

Let’s go after the real culprits: gang-bangers, the gun runners bringing guns and illegals into this country.

We need to revisit public policy toward the mentally ill. We must look up those who would bring harm to others by their demonstrated past actions and bizarre behaviors

Why not tax or fine the movie, video game, TV, music industries, if they continue to insist on producing violence-inspiring products. We have done that to the tobacco industry. Maybe someone ought to bring class action lawsuits against some of these industries. Maybe that would get their attention. Why doesn’t AterNet get behind this movement? Is it because it does not fit with your political agenda?

Leave law-abiding citizens and their guns alone.

Focus on the root causes of problem of gun violence in our society: cultural corruption, the criminal element including illegal aliens, gang-bangers, the truly insane and THEIR guns.

NRA works to "normalize" gun violence by sponsoring and collaborating with the production and marketing of violent video games, which deeply affect children and adolescents.

This is the most absurd thing I have heard lately. Compared to the sheer volume of very violent Hollywood produced movies and video games and the corrupting affect they have on our children and youth, the NRA is not at all a factor.

Mr. Hazen, you want to disarm the very people, law abiding citizens, who need and who would be the first line of defense against the criminal element, be it an individual, a gang, or a government. What a foolish stand you take. Grab the guns of the right people – the criminals, the gangs, the gun-runners…
I would venture to say that tomorrow when President Obama reviews his 19 actions that he could/will take by executive order to deal with the "Gun and Violence" crisis, he will not address ANY of the real or root causes. All he and the Left want is more control...
