How Conservative is the GOP, Really?

The National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) has been spamming my email account for the past few months and more intensely as the Election nears. Multiple “individuals” like Joe, Sue, Abagail, etc. urge me to send money. Most of the emails I just delete. However, today I read one. That email I received today illustrates the deceitfulness of political parties. Here is how the email solicitation closed, the emphasis is mine:

“…We are so close to building a new conservative Congress, and electing a new generation of conservative leaders to the United States Senate.”  ---NRSC 

 
This is the same GOP that played dirty tricks in Mississippi against a strong conservative Chris McDaniel in the Runoff Election with entrenched RINO Thad Cochran. I have decided to withdraw all support of the Republican in favor of directly supporting proven conservative candidates, such as those vetted by or endorsed by such respected groups as the Senate Conservative Fund.

I definitely hope and pray that despite the GOP, many strong conservatives will be elected to Congress, both the House and the Senate, tomorrow. We have had enough of the Roves, the McCains, the Grahams, and the Portmans, the so-called conservative Republicans who say one thing to get elected, and act like progressive Democrats once in office.

I’m sure of only one thing both parties are corrupt and will lie to gain and retain power. That is why we need to turn out to vote to turn out the dead wood that is just taking up space and doing all they can to preserve the status quo. Can you hear me now?

Tomorrow’s election is important. Conservative and Christians must vote and vote their consciences.

Graham to Napolitano: Are our southern borders secure?

First of all I do not agree with Senator Lindsey Graham on many issues. He is a RINO and progressive right Republican. Like fellow RINO John McCain, he has been wrong on many issues, including amnesty. One popular talk show host even refers to Graham as Lindsey Grahamnesty. But the other day he made a few good points concerning the need to secure our borders. He said if Comprehensive Immigration ‘Reform’ (CIR-cus) is brought up in Congress without first securing our borders, it will be defeated.

The video below is a 10 minute questioning of Napolitano by Graham during a Senate committee session dealing with the issue of illegal aliens.. The video below is telling as far as how deceitful and dishonest the Administration is regarding the matter of border security. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano could not or would not answer the simple question asked of her by Graham.

That question at the 6:00 minute mark in the video was, “Do you think it (our southern border) is secure?” Graham again asked Napolitano at the 7:35 minute mark, “Would you certify that the Arizona border is secure?” Can you believe she answered with a “beyond-my-pay-grade” type of response, claiming among other things, that the question was ‘unfair.’ What is unfair is the tragic lack of secure borders and the lack of enforcement of our federal laws by the both the Bush and the Soetoro/Obama administrations?

Lindsay Graham Votes for Sotomayor

Liberal Senator Lindsey “I’m a conservative, but I’m no Ron Paul” Graham has once again proven that voting for a Democrat isn’t always the liberal thing to do.

Here is what I mean by this:

Graham, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, joined with Democrats in voting for the most liberal Supreme Court justice nominee ever. Sotomayor is so liberal, that she believes not only that a woman has a legal right to choose to have abortion, but that it is a constitutional right to have an abortion for free (paid at taxpayer’s expense). So even if Congress never passed any law in which funds for abortion were appropriated, she would say that women should sue to have their abortions paid for by the taxpayer and she would rule in their favor. Graham is continuing a long line of liberal, sell-out Republicans who have voted for extremist liberal Supreme Court justices. (A case in point, John McCain voted to confirm both Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Steven Breyer to the Supreme Court.) In the 2008 general election, Graham defeated a true pro-life, pro-peace, pro-liberty Democrat, Bob Conley. Who cares if there are 60 Democrat senators? With Republicans like these, they might as well all be Democrats.

He left the GOP for the reform party in 2000. Now he is running as a Democrat against liberal Lindsey Graham for his senate seat in South Carolina.

The Candidate

Bob Conley opposes abortion, same-sex marriage, gun control, and amnesty for illegal immigrants. He supports dumping the IRS in favor of the Fair Tax plan. He supports allowing drilling in ANWAR. He opposes the war in Iraq. He opposes the recent bailout bill.

Regarding repealing big brother legislation and restoring the Constitution, he says:

Bob Conley will fight to repeal the Big Brother legislation passed by rubber-stamp Republican Congresses. We cannot afford to give up essential liberties under the false pretense of security. Measures that infringe on our individual liberties protected by the Constitution and the Bill of Rights must be repealed! We must restore the Constitution and respect the principles on which our Republic was founded.

Regarding overseas occupations, he says:

Overseas deployments of occupation are breaking our military. Deployments in recent years have left 80% of our National Guard units without the necessary equipment for training--and the missions they should be prepared to serve here at home. Our National Guard needs to be rebuilt.

Conley references both the British and collapsed Roman empires as he explains the need for American troops to come home from all over the globe, citing South Korea as the first place for withdrawal. "Why in the world are we paying to protect South Korea? We've been over there over 50 years. The South Koreans need to stand up and pay for their own defense," he said. "We have gotten mixed up in all this globalism and this empire-building abroad. It's time that we take care of the republic."

The Opposition

Lindsey Graham believes that abortion should legal in cases of rape and incest, voted for a bill which increased the amount of taxpayer’s money that is available to pay for abortions, voted for the use of force in Iraq in 2002, supports amnesty for illegal aliens, and voted for the recent bailout bill.

Conclusion

We need “Flat-top” Bob Conley in the Senate! Polls show Graham’s large lead over Conley has dwindled to only 9% (50-41%). Click here to contribute.
